When alot of things happen simutaneously, things tend to grow worse than they actually are. Such is the example of the scene now occuring. Ana's cero was at full power, enclosed around her entire hand, and she might have fired it off but from her front she saw the human charging her, a few steps away. She wasn't surprised by him being there, but rather the set expression on his face. This fool was prepared to die, and the surge in his reiatsu backed that fact up. She might have fired of her cero into him but was a second to late as he suddenly grabbed her, wrapping himself around her. Her arm was still held out at the shinagami, and she shot of the cero at the exact same time as Kuro turned the area into a pyrotechniques stage.
Ana's iron skin was burned by the heat wave surrounding them. She pushed the human off her and back as she stumbled forward, since the brilliant explosion lasted maybe a few seconds at best. She found her way out of the smoke and coughed, her entire form stained black from soot and smoke. Her clothes were burned tatters, the former dress-style outfit now something that would make Tarzan proud. It was one continuous piece of fabric, one shoulder strap still remaining, then the chest of her dress that had a few burn holes here and there, then only strands connecting that to the miniskirt-like remains of the dress tail.
Ana's leg faltered and she fell to one knee, eyes still closed and still coughing. Her left arm was shaking slightly - the burn was most severe there and bleeding freely. Anaklusmos cursed herself - she let a human hurt her this bad. And if the cero didn't take out those shinagami, she would have to resort to her trump card... Ana took this moment to take a few steps over to where her zanpaukuto was still in the ground, unphased by the explosions, and she pulled it out of the ground. Kuro's body lay nearby, and she sneered at his uncounscious form. but, now back to the present...and then she coughed, sending up a spur of blood as well. She hacked it up for a few seconds, then leaned on her zanpaukuto as she once again fell to one knee. Her vision blurred. Whoa, maybe that last blast was stronger than she took it. As she blinked, regaining her vision for that second, she realized she hadn't though of those so called internal injuries. Regardless of where they were - or if it was a concussion, which it was - she couldn't fight like this, as her adrenaline left her. She was done for now.
