Tensai and an unseated female shinigami from the 7th Divison could be seen a lone in the middle of the plains a lone unsheathing their zanpakto's. The reason why they were hear was that Tensai made a bet with her to prove that he could beat her even though he couldn't control his spirit energy at all. After Tensai unsheathed his enormous zanpakto, the sheath on his back disapeared and he charged at the female shinigami preparing to throw a slash at her chest, but before his blade was able to touched her skin she waved her fingers and yelled "Binding spell number 1, restrain!".
Then Tensai fell to the ground unable to move his arms and legs. The woman then walked up to Tensai and took out the money he now owed him and said "That's what you get for facing someone who's good at kido" She then started to walk away from Tensai who was still on the ground binned from the spell. ",What hell are you doing?! Aren't you go to get me out of this spell?!" yelled Tensai as he tried to break the spell with brute strength but he was unable to break it. The woman then turned around and stuck her tung at him and then walked away from the plains leaving Tensai alone. "I'm goin to kill that bitch once I get out of this" muttered Tensai.

It was another ordinary day for Yuudai. He was given Training Grounds Inspection Duty, which he loved most of all. He was always ready to see some new recruit getting beat up my thier superiors. And sometimes he even has to step in to stop a fight before anyone gets hurt.
Yuudai was strolling across the plain when he heard screaming. He quickly rushed over to the source, but couldn't resist laughing when he saw a novice shinigami rolling on the floor and struggling to get out of Binding Spell #1. Yuudai feeling sorry for the poor guy, walked over to him. He placed his right hand on the stuck shinigami's arms and gave off a small white spark. Within seconds the binding spell began to fade.
"Are you okay, is there anything I can do to help?" Yuudai asked the Shinigami with an unhidden smile on his face.

Tensai glared at the Vice Captain who was laughing at him. Once I get out of this I'm going to kill this guy thought Tensai looking really pissed. He wouldn't kill the guy of course but he would probably give him a little beating. Then the vice captain did something he didn't think he would do, he released him from the binding spell. Wow, I thought that he would just stand there and laugh thought Tensai as he calmed down a bit.
When the vice captain asked if there was anything he could help him with, Tensai said "Well for starters you could stop smiling about what happened. It isn't funny"

"It is a little funny, but don't worry it could be worst. You could have been beaten by a girl."
There was a sudden, but deafening silence and the look on Tensai's face gave everything away. Yuudai once again bursts out laughing. Finding it hard to contain himself, he settles down and says, "It was a girl right? But don't worry, I will help you. First we have to get rid of that massive sword. You need to learn control."
Yuudai pulled out a small handbook and paged through it rapidly. He grabbed his trusty black marker and started scribbling down some notes. "What's your name? What divison are you from? Do you have any regular duties?" Yuudai flooded the older shinigami with questions.
After writing everything down and checking it with his schedule, Yuudai gathered himself together and put his belongings away.
"5th Divison Vice-captain, Higa Yuudai, nice to meet you. Your training will start tomorrow here at noon sharp. Be ready. I have to get back to my duties now. So till tomorrow"
In a flash Yuudai was darting off again across the plains of the training grounds.

Tensai remained silent once Yuudai said "You could have been beaten by a girl. This silence gave everything away to the young Vice Captain causing him to burst out laughing. "If it makes any difference it wasn't a young girl, it was a woman from the 7th Division. There was no way that I could beat someone's kido that is from the 7th Division" said Tensai trying to come up with a reasonable excuse on why he lost.
"My name is Tensai Hinote an unseated member of the 11th Division who graduated from the academy a year ago. The only duties I have is training with the other 11th Division members in the morning" said Tensai. After the Vice Captain gave his name, Yuudai ran out of the training grounds. Wow, I never thought that I would be trained one on one by a Vice Captain. I wonder how much stronger I'd become after I'm done with his training thought Tensai as he walked away.
The next day, Tensai could be seen siting down on the ground at the training grounds waiting for Yuudai to show up. In his lap was a box of chocolate and of course he was eating it for his lunch.

It was a minute past noon, and Yuudai realized that he was going to be a bit late for his first training session with Tensai. He could not help it that he had patrol duty again that day. Yuudai arrived at the Training grounds 20 minutes late.
"Hey, Tensai. I'm sorry I'm late. Captain Aijou has given me a lot of extra shifts this week. But I'm here now so let us begin."
Yuudai took out his black marker and drew 2 large circle on the floor next to each other. He stepped into the centre of one of the circles, sat down and crossed his legs. Yuudai placed his zanpakuto laterally on his lap. He then ordered Tensai to sit similarly in the centre of the other circle.
"Now i want you to breathe, let go and release your reiatsu, but the trick is not to let your reiatsu cross the border of the circle. This exercise will teach you control. Watch me and follow. "
Yuudai took in a deep breath, then placed his hands on his sword and slowly started to release his reiatsu. His spirit energy, which glowed with a crimson hue, spiraled around him filling the circle to the sky but never once crossing it's black borders. Yuudai then breathed out bringing all his reiatsu back within him.
"Now you try..."

"I can understand, I mean you are a vice captain after all training someone who isn't in your divison" said Tensai who understood why Yuudai was late. Tensai then watched the Vice Captain draw 2 circles and as he was doing this he couldn't help but wonder how old the vice captain actually was even though his appearance seemed to be about one year younger than his actual appearance.
Then Tensai sat in the circle, crossed his legs, and placed his huge zanpakto on his legs after Yuudai ordered him to. After Yuudai told him what to do, he watched Yuudai keep his his spirit energy inside the circle. When Yuudai told him to do the exact same thing, Tensai had no idea what so ever how to do that. "How exactly were you able to do that?" asked Tensai with a very confused look on his face.

"Well, first you have to close your eyes and breathe in deeply. Ignore everything around you, block out all sound and feeling. Now look within yourself, deep to the centre of your being. Search out your inner energy, and pull it to the surface. But once it leaves your body it will run wild. So you will have to will into form and shape. If you are strong in your conviction and belief in yourself, then the energy will obey your will. It is after all your energy. Then finally breathe out and quickly pull everything back inside to your centre."
Yuudai hoped that explanation was sufficient. He himself never needed help controlling his reiatsu, it just came naturally to him. He thought its probably different for everyone, that everyone has different types of energies. Yuudai noticed that all this seemed foreign to Tensai, and he became worried. "This is only the beginning," he thought to himself.

Tensai would then close his eyes and breathed in deeply as he tuned out everything in his surroundings. He would then begin to feel out this inner energy Yuudai spoke of and eventually he found this blue ball of light and move closer to it. Once he got close enough a light blue aura surrounded him and like Yuudai said it began to run wild and it would go way out of the boundaries of the circle. Tensai would then try to force his spirit energy to go into the circle with pure will power. Slowly the aura that was outside the boundaries of the circle started to head towards the boundaries and at the speed it was moving at, it would take a while for it to go into the boundaries.

Yuudai watched as Tensai was trying hard to master the exercise. Deciding to give him a chance on his own, Yuudai went to go train on his own a bit farther away. Yuudai moved behind a large boulder, out of Tensai's sight, and started to draw a small circle. The circle was just big enough for Yuudai to sit inside. 2 metres away from the small circle he drew a 10 more even small circles, scattered in a oval position. Between each small circle and the larger centre circle, he drew a complex labyrinth of lines. Yuudai then when to sit in the centre of his complex design. He relaxed and slowly released his spirit energy. This was an advance exercise where Yuudai had to move his reiatsu along the maze of line until he reached the outer circles, and once there he had to maintain them in that position. Yuudai slowly breathed in, ready to tackle the task ahead of him.

Tensai continued to force the blue aura to move into the circle and when he opened his eyes, he noticed it slowly moving towards the circle and that didn't satisfy him. So using more will power, Tensai made the blue aura of his spirit energy move faster towards the circle and eventually it went into the circle. When Tensai noticed that it was in the circle, a smile formed across his face feeling excited that he was able to get his spirit energy into the circle.
Then all of a sudden, the excitement that Tensai was feeling interfered with his concentration and will power and his spirit energy went out of control and went out side the circle. Damn! I all I needed to do was keep it in the circle thought Tensai feeling fustrated.

Yuudai concentrated hard, he focussed all his spirit energy in a large circular column above the ring he was sitting in. The spirit particles were undergoing high level of compression and stress, due to the small space the ring occupied, and occasionally a random shot out of the column at high speed created tiny craters in the ground. Once Yuudai was confident in the column's compression and stability, he slowly started seeping his energy into the maze-like pathways scattered around the his ring. Yuudai's focus was on the level of a master's, he moved the energy along pathways inch by inch, particle by particle, making sure not to lose control of a single one. Yuudai had been practising that particular exercise for last few months, slowing increasing his spacial awareness and energy control. The only factors that plagued him, were stability and speed. He could do the exercise, but it required a lot of focus and effort. He knew that the only way for him to master Bankai, would be to be able to do the exercise without much thought or effort., to be able to move one ounce or massive torrents of energy as easily if breathing or thinking.
Yuudai finally moved all his energy into the 10 smaller circles that surrounded him. It took all his might to hold them still, and the pressure of stabilizing 10 columns was too great for him. Before he lost complete control of his energy, he sucked everything back inside him. He was breathing heavily, the sweat was dripping down his neck. He had pushed himself too far, and too quickly. He stood up, pulled himself together and went to check on Tensai.
"Are you getting anywhere?"

"Well I was able to get my spirit energy into circle but I got excited and lost my cocentration" said Tensai as he used his will power to get his spirit energy slowly back into the circle. "Excuse me VVice captain Yuudai, but there are two questions that I would like you to answer if you don't mind. I was wondering why are you training me, an unseated officer that isn't even in your division? Do you see potential in me or something? I was also wondering how old you are? I know that question may sem stupid it's just that I can't get it out of my mind since I'm 30 years old and yet I look like a 15 year old. Seeing how your a vice captain you must be like 5 times or more older than me?" asked Tensai once his spirit energy got into the circle.
Ok, I've got it in the circle now. All I need to do is keep it in there thought Tensai as he did his best to keep his spirit energy in the circle. A couple of times it came out but of course Tensai was able to fix the problem once he noticed it. Behind Tensai, some of his spirit energy was out of the circle, but Tensai didn't notice of course since he didn't have eyes in the back of his head.

"Firstly am approximately 44 years, which is quite young for a vice-captain position. They said it's because of my Shikai and my kidou skills that I had been promoted, but I think they promoted me to a high position in the 5th squad, so that the captains can watch over me and also so that I won't be allowed to leave Seireitei. You should know that the 5th division is charged with Inner Defense. Oh yeah....you had another question right?"
Yuudai paused a moment to recall what the question had been.
"It was about why I am training you? Don't you feel that someone of my age has sufficient knowledge to teach you? Or potential you said right? Wouldn't you say that everyone has potential, potential is to be more than you are, and no-one is perfect yet. Thus we all have potential. I have noticed that you have an above average amount of reaitsu, but you have no control, so it means nothing. It can be seen as having the greatest sword in the world, but not having the strength to pick it up. Therefore anyone with an average sword can beat you, because they have the strength to yield theirs."
Yuudai opened his mouth wide, and took a deep yawn.
"I haven't talked this much in ages, and I am starting to get sleepy. How about we continue tomorrow, also you keep missing a spot behind you where your energy is leaking out. You can't do it by sight, you have to feel your powers. To tell you the truth, the main reason I am teaching you is because I community service for graffiting the walls of the 5th division HQ."
Yuudai smiled and looked at Tensai like everything was perfectly okay.

"Wow, your 14 years older than me and have a vice captain position, that's amazing. I wouldn't be surprised that the real reason they're keeping you here is to make sure that you don't grow too powerful by fighting more hollows. To be honest, I don't even think I can be in a divison that only waits for the enemy to come. That's why I wanted to be in the 10th divison or 11th when I after I graduated from the academy" explained Tensai who still not noticed that spirit energy was leaking out of the circle from behind.
Tensai would then listen to Yuudai about everybody having potiental and how someone needs to controle their potiental in order t use it effectively, but when Yuudai mentioned that his spirit energy was leaking from behind, Tensai turned around and noticed that he was right. Damn it! thought Tensai as he turned back.
"Al right, we'll continue tomarrow. Besides you probably need to take care of a few things before you fall a sleep" said Tensai who was able to understand why he had to leave.
