Man, what is up these days! The 8th sqaud Vice Captain was unusually irritated, as he checked the mission boards in the morning. Though it was his custom to check it, someimes he felt that he should 'forget to' every now and then. Sometimes he felt only he and the Captain were only ones capable of anything in the 8th squad. He had been overworking himself these past few weeks. Seishuku felt his subordinates were getting lazy, spoiled almost. Though it wasn't their fault in particular.
He had always felt a need to take the more difficult missions for himself, and thus the skills of the others had grown dull. The Hollows were growing in number, as humans themselves were becoming more corrupt. Evil things were happening more often, and what need did these humans even serve? Seishuku was beginning to think that they were completely useless. They were so weak, they couldn't even stand up to Hollows, essentially a more focused version of themselves! But that was neither here nor there.
"It seems that right now, the biggest threat is............an orphanage, burned down.... Seishuku gripped the hilt of his blade tightly, as a few squad members looked at him. Why do they keep doing things like this? Well, it is my job to purge the world of its evils, maybe I'll catch the ones who did this. He ordered the gate guards to open the Senkaimon, as he prepared to go to the human world. Karakura Town was his destination, and he was prepared. Stepping out of the gateway, he looked down at the orphanage. It was easy to see, the charred ruins stood out amongst the colored buildings.
Seishuku's eyes widened, as more Hollows spawned than he had thought. He gripped Urufa tightly, and he dove downwards. Before he could reach the few Hollow however, he was intercepted by a more advanced Hollow. It opened its jaws wide as it thrusted downward towards Seishuku. The Vice-Captain held open its jaws with his sword, but the Hollow gripped the blade and threw it away. Now it opened its jaws again, and this time to eat the Shinigami himself.

Kuromaru Meian, or Kuro as he was more commonly called, was walking down the road, a rucksack slung across his back. He seemed an ordinary young man, perhaps a lone traveller in search of someone, or himself. As a matter of fact, he looked almost completely unremarkable, besides being handsome, that is. The only thing thing that ruined this was the Marks on his Forehead and Palms. These Marks revealed that he was one of those people who were gifted with spiritual abilities. As a matter of fact, he was doing both, looking for a being who influenced his life immensely, as well as himself. Though he would not admit it, even to himself, he was also searching for his lost love. But this was not on his mind. What was on his mind was the large flare of Reiatsu that appeared not too far away, where an Orphanage had burned down. Running with the bag slung over his back, he activated his Ability, his eyes turning completely black, and prepared himself for the battle ahead. Kuro arrived just in time to see a larger hollow rip the Zanpakuto out of a Shinigami's hands. And then, just as the Hollow would have chomped down on the poor soul......it's head exploded. And just like that, 10 Reiganzai evaporated, a level 2 explosion. One more explosion and a 25 foot radius was engulfed in a 100-Reiganzai conflagration, destroying a few hollows and injuring many more. "Need some help, Shinigami?" Kuro shouted, using his own reiatsu to propel the Powerful Death God's Zanpakuto along the ground to the Shinigami's feet. "I'm happy to oblige!"

Seishuku looked at the inside of the Hollow's mouth. It was as anyone would expect, no form of organs or the like were viewable from Seishuku's end. No matter, it seemed that he would find out eventually what the inside of a Hollow looked like. It was the pirce he paid for rushing in so prematurely. If he was paying attention he would have felt the Hollow coming, or the human approaching at that point. It just showed that you could never go into a battle half-hearted, or arrogantly likely Seishuku had just done.
To his great surprise, the Hollow exploded, as if it had just spontaneously combusted. If that was the case, Seishuku was the luckiest Shinigami on the planet because it was unlikely that Hollows could even spontaneously combust. But a crusory check of the reiatsu in the area showed the actual reason, a very powerful human had shown up and saved him. Well, he had just disproven the theory that humans were useless, as with out this one he would have just become part of another Hollow just a few months after he had become Vice-Captain.
"Well, I am not allowed to ask you for help, but......." He said as his feet stepped on the floor, and watched his sword come sliding to him. He picked up and stabbed deep into the face of a roaring Hollow. "I can't tell you not too." He said giving a half-smile, and slicing through a few other Hollow with his sword. Perhaps having some help this time would lower the stress of doing this all by himself. But with that kind of power, he imagined this wouldn't take very long.

Laughing at the Shinigami's comment, Kuro looked around for some sort of weapon he could use. seeing a broken pipe close to his feet, he picked it up. Now this is where the fun begins! he shouted to himself internally, running at the nearest cluster of hollows.
While running, he uses a technique of his own invention, making small blasts under his feet to move much quicker. As he reached the first, a large ugly brute with some sort of Pincer on its head, he swung the pipe, accenting it with his Reiganzai bursts, causing its mask to crack in half. Blowing up the face of one that got too close, he ran off quickly again, swinging at any hollow's head that he could get to, until....WHAM.
Kuro fell back, dazed after a hollow much larger then the others had swung his arm out to collide with the unsuspecting human. It was then that many hollows began to rush at the defenseless and nearly senseless Kuro.

Running my blade through so many creatures, is it really right to do this? Maybe the 12th Squad should be more focused on painless Holllow purification. At least I can take solace in that a Quincy did not get to them first. Why was Seishuku having all these doubts? Perhaps it was because he hadn't had any positive reinforcement in a while. Since he was Vice-Captain, the praises of his underlings didn't mean very much even if they did commend him on a job well done. But battle was of course, not the place to doubt one's morals or what it was you were doing.
Though he himself had to focus on his killing of Hollows, it was his responsibility to watch the human's progress as well. If Seishuku had told him to leave then he would not have been obligated to protect the human. But this human had evoked his curiosity, and his explosive abilities demanded another being's attention. Seishuku watched as the human supplemented his own speed with explosions beneath his feet, and then using those explosions in combination with a steel pipe.
It was amazing. To think that a human being had put so much practice into his spiritual arts as to use explosions THAT close to himself and not be injured in away, it was dedication that even some Shinigami didn't have. But by the same token, a Shinigami has an Academy and leaders, and can more easily attain an equal or greater power. "You know, it would do you some good to train with me, Hun." Seishuku stopped as he cleared the last Hollow in his path. He couldn't tell Urufa anything, because she was right. Seishuku hand't trained with his Shikai in a long time. Now he looked down to check the human, who had just been hit and was being swarmed by Hollows. With his current release, he could only kill one at a time, which could lead to more injuries for the human.
And so Seishuku dove down towards the group of Hollow, and called out his release command. "Run Rampant, Urufa! He shouted as the claws formed on his hands. He formed a few wolves and they barked as they hit the Hollows and exploded. Seishuku clawed down the remnants. He called off his Shikai, and held his hand out to the human. "Seishuku Saishun, Vice-Captain of Squad 8. And you?" He spoke as a few charred Hollow chunks fell to the earth. "Well I suppose we're even now. But I would like to know a bit more about you, if you'd allow it."

A little ways from the burning orphanage, another Shinigami was battling a hallow of her own. Tayte was sent to handle the hallow, though she did not expect it to be as powerful as it was.
“Screech, Hitokai”
With this, Tayte’s withdrawn blade quickly changed shape and color. The blade became black and the ribbon that was wrapped around the hilt was now red. The blade itself dispersed and from the hilt black lightning stretched out, taking on the appearance of a blade. Though each and every groove of the blade was seen, it was not your standard steel blade; however, this fact could not be noticed at first glance. The ‘blade’ became slightly wider and short spikes appeared on one of the sharp ends of the blade. The hallow standing before Tayte stood on two feet, each with only three toes. It had two human-like arms (minus the size and color of them). The hallow also had an odd tongue. The tongue was sharp, like a sword, and was the main cause of the damage Tayte had sustained through the battle. Her right sleeve was torn off, showing that the arm was completely drenched in blood. The woman was panting from exhaustion, as was the hallow.
Several minutes ago, the hallow had its eyes set on the soul of a little girl. The girl could only be ten years at max. The Shinigami had managed to get to them in time to save the little girl at the last second. The girl had bowed in gratitude, thanked the woman, and was hiding in an alleyway not far from where the Shinigami and the hallow were fighting.
Tayte’s stance was firm, legs spread apart for balance and Zanpakuto held tightly with both hands. The hallow’s tongue burst out of its mouth with great speed. Tayte sidestepped to the right, avoiding the attack but cutting it close. Letting go of her Zanpakuto with right hand, she outstretched her left arm and raised it up to the shoulder length. In this simple and swift motion, the electrical blade would pass through the hallow’s tongue in the process. Hearing the hallow’s cry of pain and watching as it returned its tongue back into its mouth, Tayte would the charge straight towards it at high speeds. As she neared the creature, it raised its left arm. The moment it swung its arm down at an attempt to strike the shinigami, Tayte once again sidestepped the attacked. Now the woman stood directly in front of the hallow. Sunlight reflecting off of her glasses, Tayte hopped in to the air. She poked her electrical Zanpakuto into the belly of the beast. As she hopped into the air, she brought her sword with her, causing it to rise up through the hallow’s entire body. Before she landed, the hallow disappeared, and she returned her blade back to normal.
After her graceful landing, the woman made her way towards the little girl who was still hiding in the alleyway. Tayte saw the look of terror on the girls face.
“Look, the longer you run around her, the more monsters will attack… there’s only one solution…”
Tayte knelt down and pressed the end of the hilt on the girl’s forehead. A glowing blue circle appeared below her feet as she was slowly drawn into it. Rising to her feet, she could hear commotion not that far from her. Tayte’s eyes widened from shock. How could she have been so wrapped up in her own little skirmish to notice the precense of such a large amount of hallows and two other beings, a fellow Shinigami and a powerful human. Tayte hopped on top of the roof and made her way to the battle area. They had already taken care of the hallows by the time she had gotten there. She stood at the edge of the rooftop, staring down at the two. She stood, arms crossed and the reflection of sunlight off her glasses hiding her bright blue eyes. - Editted for typo... >.>

"I am Meian Kuromaru" Kuro replied, accepting the Shinigami's handand heaving himself to his feet. "However, most call me Kuro. Much easier to remember, let alone say all the time. I really don't have a rank, though a Vice-Captain certainly is an impressive station. A lot of reiatsu in you, I've noticed. Especially after your release." He smiled, his still black eyes twinkling with a hidden humor, "Would you mind if I borrowed some? I promise i would give it back, one way or another!" Kuro chuckled a bit, hoping that Seishuku wouldn't get thrown off by his wording. And he did truely intend to give it back. It was then that he noticed the other Reiatsu pattern nearby, but it was another Shinigami, so he pretended not to notice for a moment.
Reaching into his pocket, he fished out a large amount of pure black pill-looking small objects that gave of the same typr of Reiatsuhe did. "I just want to make a few of these, please? They're perfectly harmless....most of the time. And It's safe, plus far from permanent. It's just a thing I tend to do whenever I meet anyone with any spiritual abilities at all." Kuro grinned, slightly embarassed but not caring in the slightest. "What'dya say?"

Seishuku smiled a bit as the human, or Kuro rather, commented on his reiatsu. I didn't realize you were taking teiatsu from those hollow, Urufa. Though it was usual buisness, Urufa had never taken matters into her own.....paws. There were a lot of hollow around, and his Shikai was on for a bit. It was strange, lately his absorption was sporadic. Usually it took an entire battle to absorb a high amount of reiatsu, or perhaps Kuro's idea of high reiatsu was lower than Seishuku's own. Although Kuro was talking about how impressive his postion was, Seishuku never really felt that way. "It's a lot more trouble than its worth."
The next question was quite a big surprise. Borrow reiatsu? It was a strange motion, especially because Seishuku had so little of his own reiatsu. Normally, it would be a very straightforward 'no' sort of answer, but considering the circumstances, he was considering it. Seishuku had quite a bit of reiatsu he didn't need, and there didn't seem to be any threats nearby. But he had to wonder, what exactly was this boy going to do with it? Perhaps he had a wound that needed healing or something of the sort. When Kuro pulled those explosive spheres he had used previously, it became more confusing. So obviously this boy needed reiatsu to make these things, so maybe he ran out? It would make sense, then.
This is really weird, and I really don't know if I should.....
"Oh come on, give it to him, its not like its a big deal. Besides, he's kinda cute."[/i][/color] Urufa told him, and it was typical of her to say something like that. Well, he didn't need to make her upset, so he reached out with his hand towards the spheres with a nod 'yes'. Seishuku felt it should be whole hearted, so he gave up a bit of his own reiatsu to Kuro's weapons. It was then that he noticed that there was another presence in the area, and it was decently strong. The sun blinded the Vice-Captain from the other's form, and he was on guard. "I wasn't informed of another Shinigami in the area." He said half to Kuro, half to the other presence. It felt like a Shinigami, but Seishuku was never that good at sensing reiatsu.

Tayte watched as the man, Kuro, asked to borrow Seishuku’s reiatsu. Tayte stood in her same position, raising an eyebrow at the question. She peered through her glasses, perplexed. What did he need the man’s reiatsu for? Tayte continued to watch as the events were unfolding before her eyes. When the man pulled out the black pill-like objects she was still puzzled. What could those small objects possibly achieve? It seems that everything became clear for Seishuku. He had probably seen the little devils in action. Maybe they were more destructive that the woman gave them credit for. Or maybe they were used to heal. That was much more likely; after all, they were in the shape of pills. What else were pills used for, nothing… nothing other than healing or poisoning. Truth be told, Tayte had assumed that the answer would be a straight forward ‘No…’. She thought this manly because that would have been her response. She was slightly shocked, though her facial features didn’t show it. He had actually given up a little of his reiatsu to the man. It seems that the Vice-Captain was more generous than she was. “See Tayte, it doesn’t hurt to be openhanded” Hitokai spoke in his usual arrogant tone. The woman simply ignored his words as she slightly and unnoticeably tilted her head to her left. The light shining off her glasses changed position. Now, it only blocked the top right side of both lenses from view.
“I wasn't informed of another Shinigami in the area.”
Feeling as though she had been addressed, Tayte jumped off the rooftop, and landed elegantly on the floor. Slowly making her way towards the two, she spoke.
“It was a last minute call.”

"I had no idea any Shinigami would be here at all!" Kuro exclaimed, faking exasperation. He wondered who this new arrival was, and if, perhaps, the two knew each other somehow. Wary of the newcomer, Kuro didn't drop his Awakened Power. However,he was more annoyed about the interruption than wary, because he wanted to add another Reiatsu pattern to his collection. "You know our names, from eavesdropping I'd wager. What is yours?" he asked, but hoped that he could still acquire the Reiganzai from Seishuku, and maybe even some from the new arrival. Kuro knew that his power spooked some, but he thought that Shinigami were not very likely to be superstitious. But you never knew how people would react to these things.....

"Well then, I guess you're just an unlucky guy, Kuro." Seishuku joked, but it was probably only likely that he would get the joke. He watched as the figure dropped down of the building, to reveal herself to the two. A Shinigami, female, and young. It seemed Seishuku had gotten at least a little better at sensing these kinds of things. Seishuku gave her a quick look over, and she was obviously not a Vice or a Captain. She was strong though, Seishuku could feel that much.
Seishuku looked at Kuro as he asked her name, which he did more politely than the Vice-Captain would have done. Other Shinigami must know that he is strictly buisness, or else they might lose respect for him. So he looked on at the other Shinigami, and wondered if Kuro would be so outgoing as to ask her for her reiatsu immediately. Seishuku looked on, and waited for the answer to kuro's question. He was also curious to know her division, as she certainely wasn't one of his.

“You know our names, from eavesdropping I'd wager. What is yours?”
Tayte’s eyebrow rose as she listened to his question. She hadn’t been eavesdropping, she was drawn there by the sounds of a battle waging on. She hadn’t reached the area when the Shinigami gave his name, though she already knew of Seishuku Saishun and that he was the Vice-Captain of Squad Eight. She knew this because, like most Shinigami, she knew of the higher ups, even if they were from other squads. However, she was there when the human gave his name, though she had absolutely no idea who he was. On top of that, she found the human to be quite strange as well. Well, maybe strange is a little strong, more like… unorthodox.
“I am Naiyashi Tayte, Third Seat of Squad Two.”
Tayte spoke in a stern voice. Staring Kuro dead in his eye, she continued to speak, however, this time her tone of voice became slightly more inquisitive.
“So... out of curiosity, what is it you achieve from that...”
Tayte left off the end of her sentence, hoping that the man would finish it off for her by stating the name of the object. Tayte was rarely overwhelmed by her curiosity; however, this was a different situation.

“So... out of curiosity, what is it you achieve from that...”
"Reiganzai? Just a bit of a hobby of mine. Whenever I meet someone new, I like to take a little bit of their Reiatsu and make a few of these pellets, Reiganzai!" Kuro told the newcomer, holding up one of the little pill-like objects. "They're just physical manifestations of Reiatsu, which can be eaten for a boost of Reiatsu, or I use them to..." and as he trailed off, he pointed off to a spot that both Shinigami could see, and the Reiganzai in his hand dissapeared. Instantaniously, an explosion of level one intensity occured at the designated point.
"I didn't need to point, but I did so for your sakes. Wouldn't do me any good if you chopped my head off thinking I was about to attack you, now would it?" Kuro laughed. "I usually make about 25 per new acquaintance, and give them 24 back, and one of my own. I tend to remember things about people when I have one of their Reiganzai." He explained.
"So.....may I borrow some of your Reiatsu?" Kuro asked both Shinigami.

Naiyshi Tayte, 3rd seat. No wonder I managed to sense her right away. Even though she was a third seat, it was strange for her to be there. Being of squad 2, it was likely that she had advanced stealth capabilities, and that would be the reason he couldn't sense her. Maybe it wasn't strange then, putting a stealth warrior to eliminate a Hollow without drawing unnecessary attention. Even if she was an espionage specialist, she was pretty good at hidng her reiatsu. "Wow, you're thinking a lot about her. You ever think about not thinking babe? Seishuku scowled at Urufa's comment, but payed it no mind once more.
But she made her point, and the Vice-Captain turned his attention back to the running conversation between Kuro and Naiyashi. He caught the entire explanation of the 'Reiganzai', and the explosion. It was quite an interesting ability, and did seem to be harmless enough. Well, harmless to him anyway. Seishuku allowed his hand to drop from his sword, as any impending trouble had passed. Seishuku gave a small smirk at Kuro's joke, and thought about how a human might recieve such powers.
As Kuro asked for the reiatsu again, Seishuku gave a look at the 3rd seat. For someone she just met, he was sure that Naiyashi wouldn't give up any reiatsu. So he figured if he gave his reiatsu first, then the other Shinigami would follow his lead. "Fine Kuro. But I don't have that much to spare." He said, and prepared to give his reiatsu to the human.

[ooc: I apologize for the delay. I was at ma dad’s house and he has no internet.]
That’s a rather odd hobby… Tayte thought as she listened to the man describe the pills-like objects. She watched as the man, Kuro, created a low level blast. Her facial expression remained the same as he made his joke. “This guy says he’ll give you twenty-four out of twenty-five. That’s a good deal, especially since each pellet will give you a boost of reiatsu. How often did you get in a situation where you need more reiatsu? This’ll guarantee that that won’t happen again.” Hitokai spoke to the woman, attempting to convince her of allowing the man to take her reiatsu. However, she did not like the idea of some stranger keeping her reiatsu in a… Reiganzai? It was unusual and uncomfortable. She had known the man for all of four minutes. Even if he only kept one, who was to say that he wouldn’t run of and magically duplicate the woman, creating a pet Shinigami for himself? Or, tweak it so that it’ll detonate inside the person whose reiatsu was used to create it? Or, suck out all her reiatsu against her will? It was far too dangerous to trust a random person with her reiatsu, even if most of her fears were quite outrageous. She had it set in her mind to deny the request and wipe her memory of him even bringing up such a preposterous proposal. But then… the higher ranked Shinigami accepted this…
Seishuku seemed to have no problem with giving up his reiatsu. “See, didn’t I tell you he was a generous person. Tayte, you really need to lighten up. He even admitted that he doesn’t have much to spare. If this man really was evil, wouldn’t he be attacking by now? Idiot… just lend him your damn reiatsu.” Tayte was slightly aggravated by Hitokai’s comment. The way he rudely commanded the woman to lend her reiatsu made her want to say ‘No…’ even more. However, curiosity was getting the better of her once again. It was always said that that was the thing that killed some cat somewhere. However, despite her own feelings, both the soul in her Zanpakuto and the Vice-Captain beside her seemed to think that it was a good idea.
Tayte began thinking about what Kuro might have meant when he said he remembers things about a person by having one of their reiganzai. She hadn’t been with him for long and all she told him was her name, rank, and what squad she was from. Is that all he’d remember? Or would he somehow tap into Tayte’s memories by using her reiatsu inside the reiganzai? Tayte was highly skeptical of the entire subject. Had Seishuku not given up his reiatsu, she wouldn’t be so reluctant to give the answer she felt to be as simple as the ABCs. A nice long moment passed since Kuro asked to borrow her reiatsu. She finally gave in to her curiosity once more and prepared to give her reiatsu to him.
