Downtown Tokyo at night; an amazing display of lights, signs, street lamps... Sokou hated it. There was just too much going on for the shinigami to feel comfortable in the modern world, not even the billboard of a half-naked woman advertising beer could make him feel welcome; though he was inexplicably in the mood for a drink now. Staring up at the moonless night, the man's felt his dislike for the city grow. The artificial light from below made the natural light of over a thousand stars seem dull, how the hell did these humans ever sleep.
Sokou considered for a moment that his dislike for the city might just be displaced aggression, he had been rather pissed off for the last week; ever since the shinigami had received his current assignment, babysit a bunch academy brats while they played shinigami. While there were other officers had been assigned their own groups to escort this year, he was the only lieutenant. Sokou was sure this had happened because he had angered somebody in a command position, unfortunately that didn't narrow it down at all; he pissed people off all the time.
"Ni-taannn," the the irritated whining of the small girl within his head was accompanied by the rattling of metal as his sword shook inside of it's sheathe.
"Would'da want kid?"
As the shinigami began to seemingly talk to himself, an oddly dressed little girl appeared on the ledge beside; half hanging off the side of the build the two were on as she tried to look down below. Without bothering to look back at Sokou, she began to lecture him as if he was the one who looked like a six year old, "Yurs not doins yurs job, yurs s'pose to be s'cortin' those students; 'stead yurs up here mopin'."
"I'm doing my job yah brat, I know exactly were each and every one of those brats are; their reiatsu are like flares compared to the humans. Besides, they ain't gunna learn how to hunt hollows with me holding their hands."
True to his word, the 11th fukutaichou had been tracking the students locations as they tried to hunt down and kill a hollow. At the moment there was only one in their assigned patrol area, an insignificant little bug called Ant Bite. The creature wouldn't be a problem for the kids as long as they knew that their zanpakutou were sharp; but this particular field trip was more about the experience then the actually challenge. When the group had first arrived Sokou had confiscated their soul phones and simple told them to patrol, cleanse hollows and bury the pluses; before he had flash stepped away.
That had been an hour ago, which meant that the lieutenant had another four boring hours to go. The none of the brats had even found Ant Bite yet, despite the fact they had started out relatively beside the monster. Sokou let out a quiet sigh as he looked back up at the night sky as be attempted to ignore his soul slayer's spirit, who had begun to sing horrible off key.

Excitement was going through Takeshi's head as he ran down the streets of the big city, keeping withing the set boundaries by lieutenant Sokou before they left. There was so much that had grown since he had departed this world, it was truly amazing! He couldn't help but leap on top of a light post and open up his book. He began sketching out what he saw.
Cars, skyscrapers, billboards, lights, people, more cars, more people, more buildings, more people, more lights, giant television screens, even more cars, even more people!
He stopped himself when he felt the reiatsu of his fellow students doing their own things, as well as the fukutaichou's, whose was impossible to miss, as well as one he didn't recognize. A faint flicker of spiritual pressure. Probably just a plus who needed to be sent to the other side.
"Ah well," the first year Shinigami student told himself as he secured his leather-bound sketchbook to his sash and put his hand on the green hilt of his zanpakuto and hopped on top of a moving car for a bit until it reached a red light at the end of the street, hopped off and began running towards the small reiatsu he sensed was a few blocks ahead.
"Keep focused, stay sharp" he said to himself as he approached his destination, when suddenly he sensed a malicious energy reveal itself almost behind him. A hollow! A weak one definitely but still enough to make him wish he wasn't by himself. He drew his blade and faced the evil spirit, waiting for it to come into view.

Namida had given up on the hunt shortly after it began. Her heart wasn't in it... her heart wasn't in anything anymore. So what if she didn't find the hollow? So what if she didn't save souls? It was no longer her responsibility... she'd leave it for those who didn't need to be saved themselves. She was too far gone to move forward or strive to become anything. What could possibly happen to her? The worst they could do was fail her... kick her out... so what? She'd return to a life of poverty in Rukongai, and her life would return to its rightful insignificance. She's get eaten alive by her visions... swallowed whole by her fear... she'd die in Rukongai alone and afraid. A fitting end to such a worthless girl. Did it comfort her to know that no one would remember her? As a student in the academy she remained invisible to most... she wouldn't be missed. It was an easy thing to assume... it was easy to feel this way at a time like this but she knew deep down that there would be people who thought of her... people that she had grown to care for....
Namida sat down on a bench, her zanpakuto lying beside her. She folded her hands in her lap, and she contemplated sadly on the recent events of her life. She had met a few people... one of which she wanted to continue to see. But... would he still want to be around her if he knew the way she was?
She could feel the faint hum of his reiatsu, and she was comforted slightly to know he was nearby. All of them were... she could feel everyone's presence, especially the Vice Captain, who's reiatsu seemed to loom over her. She wondered vaguely if he knew she had abandoned the search. She remembered on the way to the living world, she was as excited as the other students... She wanted to see the new sights... revisit the realm that was once hers, but see it through different eyes. The excitement however was quickly replaced with sadness, and later a degree of apathy towards the task at hand. True, she did not want to disappoint her superiors, especially the Vice Captain, but she couldn't bring herself to move, let alone chase around a hollow.
She leaned back with a sigh, and as she did, there was a hiss in her head. She winced, and closed her eyes. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead in anxiety... she knew he was going to talk to her...
"Giving up are we?"
Namida buried her head in her hands, whimpering quietly,
"You've always been good at it... you've always been good at running." High pitched laughter rang in her ears Run from the boy, run from the school... let's see if you can run from me..."
"No...please just leave me alone...."
"Who are you talking to? Me? Are you sure I even exist?"

Dante had been following Namida at a distance since they had arrived at a nonchalant pace, relishing In forcing himself to be slow and casual, his hands in his pockets as ever. He sure as hell wasn’t ready to go chasing after a hollow, but worse then meeting one would be to see poor nervous Namida having to face one. But as much as he felt like playing the hero, he knew the real reason why he was following her was just on the off chance she might notice him… he enjoyed her company greatly, something extremely rare from a person who hates nearly everything around him. Dante sighed, why did everything have to be complicated? He could have just gone off with her together on the hunt, but like an idiot he had to be nervous and take his time getting going. It would be embarrassing to run after her, awkward to call for her, and so Dante kept walking a good distance behind her, hoping that eventually she might notice or stop for him to catch up in a seeming accident.
Looking around to kill time and stifle his thoughts Dante made a sour face as he drank in the coporate entity that was the city around him. Couldn’t picked a nice countryside could they? Dante kept walking slowly and silently, allowing himself a cynical mental monologue on the trivialities and logical discrepancies present within the society observable around him. He noticed that Namida had stopped to sit down on a bench, not allowing fear or nerves for her… or for himself, to get into his head, he continued to walk at a slow place as if unaware of her.
Dante had nearly reached the bench when he could tell something was wrong, he heard a faint whimper and ice cold fear washed down his chest. Was she alright? What… what was wrong? Be calm idiot, he told himself, your just passing by remember? Something about her though, it just made him feel so protective, so connected… it was strange.. it was stupid. He kept telling himself that, it was some stupid thing he’d made up in his mind, he’d let a little attention and friendship get to his head… all people were fake. But he knew in his heart, she was more then them.
"No...please just leave me alone...."
Dante blinked nervously, was… she talking to him? “I’m sorry, I was just passing by… I’ll go.” He paused between his disheartened and faint words, “I… noticed you sitting here all… erm, well alone. Before I go… are you sure your alright? …. It’s ok I’ll leave you alone.” he shook his head in pain and discomfort, turning on his heel to go. Dissapointment like a dagger, she didn’t want him to be near her, he should’ve guessed from all the way back when he had patted her shoulder…. she didn’t want anyone near her, especially… especially not someone like him.

Tsuke knew what he was here for. He was a student at the Shinigami Academy and it was an annual field trip to Earth in order to get notes and experience at being a real Shinigami. He was supposed to be hunting Hollows and using soul-burial on wandering spirits, but....but it was just too cool!
Tsuke wandered throughout the streets checking out all the great restaurants and all the people crowding the alleys. It was just so different from Soul Society, that he was interested in just about every aspect of it. "This food looks so good," Tsuke said as he looked through the window of a bakery, mouth hanging open with drool. He noticed people sitting in the bakery, talking and laughing amongst each other's company. "They seem to be having such fun." Tsuke was happy for them, for he always liked to see people enjoy themselves.
Tsuke hopped on the nearest roof and continued to glide from rooftop to rooftop. "Alright, back to business," he reassured himself. Tsuke focused himself to sense the reiatsu of his fellow students and the Vice-Captain. He was able to sense everyone perfectly, without a chance of missing the Vice-Captain's. He thought to himself, "I will be strong enough to have a reiatsu like that, just everyone watch." He smiled about this thought until he sensed another small reiatsu appear. He felt as if this one had more of a dark presence about it, so he figured he shouls check it out. With zanpaktou equipped in it's sheathe, Tsuke proceeded to head towards the eerie reiatsu.

"I hate kids."
People say this all the time, not all of them actually meant it; but Sokou was one of the group that truly did. Whatever the academy brats were thinking, it obviously wasn't "Tarukane-Fukutaichou's probably observing what we do." While it was impossible for the shinigami to tell what they were up to, it wasn't that hard to tell it wasn't their job; at least not right away.
The gaijin with weird eyes was doing the best so far, mainly because he was the first to stop dicking around and actually head towards one of the nearby pluses. Sokou felt a smile, really more of a tiny grin, appear on his face as he realized the hollow's reiatsu was getting closer to the notebook carrying weirdo. If he did well the lieutenant would consider remembering his name, if only to make his upcoming verbal assault just that more personal.
His grin completely vanished however when he focused on the girl, she had been stationary for far too long; Sokou was tempted to go and find out if she had decided to take a nap. He also wondered if she had knew she had a stalker, it didn't really matter though; he'd just put both her and her skinny boyfriend on the top of his shit list.
As for the last one, well he just seemed to be moving around not doing anything in particular. Sokou was definitely going to chew this one out, find out what he had wasted an hour doing; then give him a nickname that was more swear then name.
Suddenly a high-pitched shout broke him out of his deep thought, "Yay, Ni-tan's happy 'gain.'
Looking down at his zanpakutou's spirit, the vice-captain realized his grin had returned, "Nah kid, I was just thinkin' bout how much fun yelling at this groups gunna be.

Takeshi felt the monster scuttle closer and closer to him with increasing speed, but from where? He was getting a bit worried that he wasn't sure where the hollow was, but he was sure that it knew where he was. He had a bad feeling that he was going to have to face this thing by himself so he took a deep breath and relaxed his tense body.
"Concentrate your focus, find it's reiatsu and shut out everyone around you," he said to himself, reassuring himself that he'd be able to do this, raising his voice as his confidence began to increase. "It's just you and the hollow; no one else exists, not the lieutenant, not your classmates, not the people around us. Just wait for it to appear, and strike it down with the zanpakuto!"
He raised his head, staring the hollow in the eyes beyond it's white mask as it stopped several meters ahead of him. Not the most intimidating thing he'd imagined, but still he'd show the devilish spirit no less determination to send it to the other side. It charged, howling wildly in hopes of getting itself a worthy prey. Takeshi watched with cold, miscolored eyes as it clumsily ran towards him, one of it's leg's tripping on a fire hydrant and causing it to tumble over more of it's own limbs when finally one of it's hind feet fell through a sewer grate in the sidewalk, trapping it from advancing any more.
The student shinigami changed from serious to dumbfounded as he witnessed the most incapable hollow he'd ever heard of do something so stupid so quickly. He opened his notebook and sheathed his sword. He flipped through the pages until he found what he was looking for.
"Bakudō # 4, Binding Rope!"
He tore out the page and channeled his energy into the paper, sticking it to the pathetic foe's mask, it's tangled limbs becoming bound to together by a rope of energy preventing it from escaping.
He redrew his sword and approached the hollow with a grin, the blade now raised above his head as he prepared to execute the monster via decapitation as they recommended at the academy. As he brought the sword down towards the hollow's head, it spat a small ball of energy which knocked him back on the ground and made him drop his weapon. Then it broke the tether and began to retreat to the rooftops as Takeshi got back on his feet and picked up his sword.
It was heading in Tsuke's general direction but if it stayed on course it would reach Namida and Dante, and he didn't want to be held accountable for those two's safety should they be ambushed by the hollow. He decided he would give chase after he performed the soul burial on the plus nearby.

((I'm sorry that this post sucks. I was drawing a blank but I wanted to get this posted before I left to keep the plot moving))
She heard Dante's voice break through, and she looked up, the taunting laughter still echoing in her head. Her whole body trembled; she couldn't do this anymore... she couldn't hide it anymore. She felt the paralyzing sensation of sleep taking her by the throat. She was getting too worked up... the stress was going to put her to sleep.
God she hated it! She hated that she saw and heard things that others didn't... she hated that she dropped off to sleep whenever she felt anything too strongly... she hated the feeling that she was losing her life to whatever problem she had... and yet, she was afraid to confide in anyone. "D-Dante... please don't go" Her head growing light with the threat of oncoming sleep, Namida stood to her unsteady feet and took a step towards him before falling to her knees. Her world began to blur, and tears came to her eyes. Please hold on a little longer... I need to talk to him...
Too late, little girl. You wasted your time.
Her hand closed into a fist, and she brought it to her chest before falling forward and catching herself with her free hand on the ground. "Dante... I need help... I can't do this anymore"
You think he can help you? You think he will after learning that you're a psycho? Maybe he'll have you thrown in a home... wouldn't you like that?
...Can anyone really help you?
"Dante I see things..." She said suddenly, looking up with glistening eyes, "Like... things that others don't... They don't exist... I'm crazy..." The words seemed to tumble out of her mouth before she could stop herself. At that moment she felt like she could dance on clouds. She was so free in her confession that she nearly smiled but this bliss soon faded in the realization of what she had done...
Her rabbit heart beat madly in her chest. She could feel her pulse in her shaking arms. Disbelief shrouded her face and she looked down, her eyes glued to the pavement. She wanted to take it back... She wanted to say nevermind, find a way to make him forget those words. But there was no going back now...
"Dante..." Her voice was even and grim, "Go and hunt the hollow... I want you to do well." She added afterwards quietly "I'm leaving"
She could feel the buzz of the hollow's reiatsu approaching coupled with the reiatsu of Takeshi. She smiled sadly, looking up at him again, "I'm not made for this place."

"D-Dante... please don't go"
He turned, his heart thumping, pounding against his chest. The ghost of a smile showing the relief plainly upon his features. But the way she said it… it broke his heart… it was a pained sentence, she was hurting, he could see it. What brought such trouble to this girl? He watched her with a craned neck as she shakily rose to her feet, his brow furrowed in worry. Something really wasn’t right. Her legs began to buckle and Dante turned fully, reaching out his hands… she fell to her knees and he sighed, a painfully and sudden sharp intake of breath.
"Dante... I need help... I can't do this anymore"
Grasping for words, his heart pounding so terribly fast, Dante could only watch as she caught herself before she fell to the ground, her fist clasped strongly at her chest. What could he really do for her? He bit his lip, he would… he would help… he had to. She had been there for him…. she had been the only one who was ever there for him when he needed it. Dante took to his knee, closing his eyes in a sad grimace and shaking his head. He needed to meet those eyes. He cared for her…. he had to be here, he had to help… as hard as it was for both of them. It wasn’t an option to go back. Dante had walked that road to long by himself… and he was beginning to realize that being solitary didn’t afford the sanctum nor the strength he had once imagined.
"Dante I see things..." She said suddenly, looking up with glistening eyes, "Like... things that others don't... They don't exist... I'm crazy..."
He raised his head with glistening eyes, it hurt him so to see her like this. She didn’t deserve to be broken pieces on the floor, she was so… she was… he stopped himself. A slow and sad smile crept across his face. “I…. I don’t care. It doesn’t matter to me… you are still the same girl you were before Namida… It really doesn’t…I still….”
"Dante..….. go and hunt the hollow... I want you to do well." She added afterwards quietly, "I'm leaving"…."I'm not made for this place."
He stopped, the pain clutched at his heart again, squeezing it with rough hands until he feared it would burst. Dante nodded, covering his anguish with a downcast gaze, he couldn’t let her see… he couldn’t further burden her. Didn’t she just say…? Didn’t she realize…? Didn’t she… Dante let out an inadvertent breath that he had been holding for some time.
“If you really want me to go…” he said slowly, his tone low, “Then I will leave and not turn back….”. He stopped, cold blue eyes raising through the shadows to stare solemnly into Namida’s own. “But you were there… you were…” he did not look down, but his lip quivered, “You were there for me Namida, and I WILL be here for you… you’re… you’re the only thing that keeps me staying here, and if you leave, then I’ll be gone… with or without the girl I’ve come to…” he paused, stopping to glance off into the distance. “The friend I’ve found.”

(OOC: Sorry I haven't posted in awhile...exams have just started up and I have some heavy studying this week...but I will post in the two topics I am active in.)
Tsuke stopped for a moment on the top of a restaurant that was famous for it's ramen. He let the smells flow through his nostrils as he took a deep breath in. As he exhaled, he couldn't help but let some drool come out of his mouth as well. "Why must everything smell so good here!" Tsuke's eyes rolled as he thought back to life in Soul Society. "This place is too good to be true." Tsuke was quickly brought back to reality when he heard an eerie roar come from a distance.
Tsuke knew what it was...it was that Hollow that he had sensed awhile ago. He was tracking it down, before getting destracted by the powerful and amazing aromas of the delicacies Earth had to offer. "Right back to business," Tsuke said as he shook his head, trying to bring himself back to the current situation. He could sense the dark reiatsu heading towards two of his fellow classmates. He also noticed the other student that had traveled with them, was also heading in that general direction. "I guess I should join the party," Tsuke said to himself with a smirk on his face. With the words coming out of his mouth, Tsuke jumped from building to building, proceeding to the location of Dante and Namida.

She didn’t like this, it didn’t feel right. Up until this point Las Noches and Sereitei had learned to just ignore each other, there was conflict from time to time but it seemed each party was understanding of the fact that open war between them would be devastating for each side. Now though Desperado had made an order that just made no sense, Torre was to capture four shinigami students who had made a trip into the real world, to Seireitei these students were lifeblood…such an action would be a declaration of war, admittedly a weak one but moreover it would elicit an immediate and violent response against the Arrancar and possibly even against Las Noches itself and she really did not see the benefit. Regardless she didn’t have much say here and to refuse Desperado would be to bring down the wrath of the Espada, she might escape she might not but either way she would be public enemy number one in Las Noches from that day forward and she did not yet having a proper place to escape to yet and so she had to continue doing the dirty work. On top of that as far as this particular task went she was a bit split, while she didn’t like the idea of smearing her honor by striking at opponents so much weaker than herself she also knew she was the only one who would make a proper attempt to retrieve them without damage and could insure their safety once they had returned to Las Noches, she looked at them as children in a way and would not see them harmed in the process of this event so she was not going to let another Espada do it.
Torre stood in the grand hall that lead to the meeting hall leaning against her sword which she had laid vertically on the wall behind her. She was tapping her fingers on the metal plate that covered her right hip rather quickly, an obvious stress signal that had every Numeros that passed through the hall sticking to the far wall and passing quickly in silence. After what seemed like ages a black doorway opened across the hall and a young looking man with blond hair, a number on his forehead and a white “crown” that was the remainder of his mask sitting on his head appeared from beyond the veil. He approached her and unlike the other Numeros did not try to avoid eye contact or cower in fear of being noticed. This was Torres little spy, when she entered the living world every spiritually sensitive person in the radius of a small country would know she had shown up and so she had been utilizing a Numeros who specialized in masking his reiatsu to figure out what was happening on the other side so she could strike at the right moment. The man spoke in a rather monotone voice as he rolled off what had happened since his last report.
“It does not appear they intend to commune together until the end of this little trip of theirs. Two of the students are wandering the city, one seems intent on tracking a nobody Hollow as must be his mission, the rest are just as they were before, seeming as if they have no interest in actually tracking the little one. However for once they do seem to be getting rather close together, as luck would have it the small Hollow happens to be leading the one active participant toward two others who have been inactive up to this point and just as I left it seemed the other might have finally been taking flight to his objective as well. As for the other one I am still not sure of what Division he is a part of but it is clear he is a higher ranking individual, still he should be no issue for you.”
After he had completed his report he put his arms behind his back waiting for his orders. Torre mulled it over in her head for a bit, she had hoped all the students would come together allowing her to suppress them with a reiatsu burst and give her time to make off with them without any conflict but things had changed. The students were not moving as a single unit and if she passed up this chance when they were relatively close and they then escaped she would be in more trouble than she could imagine so she decided it was time to move, if she had to face this more powerful member she would just have to be careful not to harm anyone else, she would have preferred not to fight but if the students were separated she doubted she could collect them all before the unknown arrived on the scene.
“Alright you’re dismissed, its clear we missed our best opportunity when they arrived and this may be the closest we come to reproducing that collective quality. Thank you for you for your assistance.” Torre nodded and raised her hand ready to rip a portal open to the living world.
“Not at all mam.”
((OOC: While Torre is indeed powerful keep in mind that in this next paragraph I am not trying to make her sound almighty, I am simply trying to visualize the feelings the students who are mere nobodies in comparison would feel upon her arrival.))
The man disappeared into nothingness just as several black shutters opened in front of Torre, she reached behind her, grasping her zanpaktou and then she stepped through. Everything went all darkness and purple swirls for a moment before she felt herself thrown out on the other side and then the shutters into the real world opened exposing the lights of the city far below. With one more step the dark portal closed behind her as she hovered in the air for a moment, far below there was a pause sort of like the calm before the storm where all soul energy seemed to burst and then was totally encompassed. Torres signature flared like a sun in comparison to everything else and anyone who was sensitive to such powers but not strong in their own right would likely be feeling as if a giant weight had just been placed on their chest. The closer she got the worse the feeling would become, regardless she did not want to overuse this advantage because pushing to hard on the students with her reiatsu could very well create permanent mental damage.
She pinged the world with her reiatsu several times locating the students and the unknown, she knew what had been awaiting her but this was the first time she was getting a look at it with her own senses. The unknown was just as the Numeros had said, pretty powerful and she guesstimated that he was a 3rd seat or even a vice-captain though she was not familiar with the signatures presence despite her long history of battles with Shinigami. However after just a few moments of looking at the playing field she crafted a plan and dropped dead center in the middle of the students plummeting to the ground like a ball of fire and yet just before impact she performed a flip, placed her zanpaktou out the long way underneath her feet and hit the roof of a building quite gently. As she stood and reorganized herself she found herself face to face with the small Hollow that the students had been chasing, it stared at her for what probably seemed like ages for it though it was less than a second before it turned around running in fear straight back for the boy who had been chasing it in the first place.
Torre had no time for it though and had a plan that needed to be enacted quickly, she would move for the two that were together first since her motto was always, “Hope for the best but expect the worst” and if the work did occur at least she would have made off with two of them. She turned in their direction, this close there was no doubt they knew she was here and coming for them now if they hadn’t already figured it out upon her arrival and with one mighty running start and leap she covered the several hundred feet to their location and landed on the roof right above them before bounding off the edge and landing street level with a massive thud thanks to her heavy armor before turning to face them.
“I am sorry, you must come with me.”
She could have just blown them unconscious with her reiatsu (though just standing close to her without her performing any suppression was probably tough enough) but that could have done quite a bit of harm. Instead she was hoping that they might be intelligent enough to realize that coming from someone as powerful as her this was not so much a request as it was an order. She had raised a hand and another black shutter portal opened, this one lead to a prepared room she had made in Las Noches to keep them locked up but also keep them away from the other Arrancar there though the Royal 3 probably already knew where it was. She didn’t explain herself to the two, she wished she could have really but the unknown was now on the move and doing so rapidly and with two more to go she just had to be forceful.
“In you go please, quickly now, explanations later.”
Though she didn’t flare her reiatsu she forced it on them a bit to try and suggest they should move along… she noticed these two had seemed to be in the middle of something and felt a little bad for interrupting but such was the life of being the “bad” guy. Even though she knew she could defeat him she panicked a bit when she realized the unknown would arrive any second, she did not want the students to be injured in a battle and so she proceeded forward ready to toss them into the portal if they didn’t hurry up and walk in.

With the strength of the reiatsu hitting him like a brick wall and his sword's spirit vanishing from view, Sokou stood stunned for several moments; his senses struggling to comprehend the immenseness of the spiritual signature that had just appeared. The only time he had ever experienced anything close to this was when the former captain off the 11th had fought full out. Whatever had just arrived was completely beyond him, at least while his power were limited to only three tenths of what they truly were, "Damn protocol gotta make things difficult."
Shuffling through the academy issue mobile phones that he had placed within his white sash after confiscating them from the four students, the Lieutenant finally found his own. The cells small display screen was flashing an ominous blood red, which would have been accompanied by a siren like ring tone had it not been set to silent. The device was trying to tell it's owner what he already knew, something bad was happening. Pressing the auto-dial button before bringing the phone to his ear.
{"Junibantai; Corporeal Realm Monitoring Unit, Ren speaking, how..."}
"Shut it, this Tarukane-Fukutaichou, remove the limiter on me now."
{"... Sir, that would require a captain's level of cleara..."}
"Bring up my location on yah screen."
{"... Oh shit, oh shit, oh sh... Understood sir, but it will take a few minutes; I'll signal your cell when it's ready."}
"Good."
Ending the transmission with little courtesy and no formality, Sokou turned the ringer back on and placed the phone back within his sash; it was useless for the moment. The amount of reiatsu flooding the area made it impossible for either the mobile or Sokou to get a definite fix on the hostile location, luckily it's entrance was as about as subtle as the apocalypse, landing like a missile nearby the girl and her stalker boyfriend.
With everything set, the Lieutenant took an understandable moment to think over the situation. He was about to engage a obviously more powerful opponent in the middle of Tokyo while insuring the safety of the four academy students and anyone else caught nearby. Most men would be terrified at the sheer magnitude of the challenge that had been set before the tattooed shinigami was actually excited. Fights like this, were everything was stacked against you and you had no choice go on and attack were what the true members of the 11th Division dreamed of. It would be a test of skill, a test of cunnin...
Ah fuck it, it was going to be fun.
And with that finally thought Sokou disappeared in a flash.

The plus was just a small kid, a young boy whining for his parents who were apparently already sent to Soul Society a few days earlier according to the brat who was crying
"D-da man in bwack, wud 'e do wit mama an' papa. Why'd 'e take mama an' papa 'way fwom me? Wayas moma an' papa!"
Takeshi had already his zanpakuto drawn from just a while earlier when the hollow escaped, he put the sword on the ground next to him and the kid and told him the story of the Shinigami and Soul Society.
"I am a shinigami," he said quietly to the boy, once he quit crying so much. "I come from a place called Soul Society, it's my job to bring you to Soul Society before you get eaten by a monster. Now calm down and I'll send you to where I come from so you can be with your parents again and not be alone."
The brat looked up at him, wiping his tears with a dirty sleeve and stared at him for a long moment. He finally broke the silence with a sniffly voice.
"... Why'd mama an' papa went to America to run away from a monster?"
"Little brat, why I oughta..."
Takeshi looked at the kid in the eyes, unamused at the previous comment, picked up his zanpakuto from the ground, and without anything else said he smacked the boy in the forehead with the butt end of the sword's handle, sending him to the other side before he could respond.
Sheathing his blade, he hopped to the rooftop and began his pursuit of the hollow who got away just now. He made haste as he felt the bug getting closer and closer to the two senior students who weren't doing anything that he knew of. He leaped and ran from rooftop to rooftop until he felt his classmate Tsuke relatively close to him. He couldn't see the silver-haired classmate but he was sure he'd run into him soon.
Then he looked even further ahead, he felt every hair on his body begin to raise and he began to sweat. His heart began to pump faster and everything seemed to slow down a near halt, the air was becoming thick and heavy for a brief moment. He felt like his heart stopped beating, the world frozen for a moment that seemed like forever until he dropped to his knees like a bag of bricks, no, like bricks falling out the bottom of a wet paper bag. He felt a series of small bursts of energy bounce off him and then he saw the Hollow again.
No way the pathetic spirit could be the source of the massive power, it was running away from whatever had been the source. As it reached him, it paused for a second, looked behind it and back at the shinigami student. It chose to take it's chances with the boy and roared at the shinigami-in-training, and charged in his direction. It didn't look like he was trying to attack Takeshi but just get by him. He was almost sympathetic for the hollow but still took the opportunity and ducked low, stabbing the hollow in the head from below as it passed over him. It dissipated in a black haze, being sent to Soul Society.
"I am sorry," he said as the hollow faded away into nothingness. "You are safe now."
He knew he would be useless against the giant source of energy, so he decided he'd better find Tsuke before his eager classmate tried anything too dangerous.

((Most sincere apologies. I never intended to hold up the plot thread like this))
“I…. I don’t care. It doesn’t matter to me… you are still the same girl you were before Namida… It really doesn’t…I still….”
Those words... “I don't care” How afraid she was to believe him. How afraid she was to be happy. That was it, wasn't it? Namida was afraid to trust, to be held, to be loved or to smile. It wasn't the voices in her head, it wasn't the things she saw, not the ghosts, the bugs, or the monsters... Dante terrified her. This boy that dared to grow close to her was the most frightening thing in her life. How she feared him, and how she needed him. Namida feared his hands; those hands that could hug, and dance across the stings of his guitar... those hands that could cradle her heart... those hands that could shred it. She feared his voice that could so easily say 'I love you' or 'I hate you'. Were one thousand I love you's worth a single I hate you? Were one thousand hugs worth a single slap in the face?
No.
Not all the friendship in the world was worth the chance of rejection. He'd never understand this however... Dante simply wanted someone to be close to. He wanted to be there for her, she knew he did... he didn't care about the what ifs or the possible rejections or mind games or anything... he was pure in his intentions. Why couldn't she be the same?
She didn't really want him to leave, but so stubborn was her heart, so tightly her injured pride clung to her that she'd never allow herself to take back what she said. She'd watch him walk away from her without a single word, and later in her solitude, she'd cry and tear herself apart, because that was the type of person she was. She gasped sharply, burying her fingers in her hair as the laughter chimed again in her head. Was it real? Was any of this real?
“If you really want me to go…Then I will leave and not turn back….But you were there… you were…You were there for me Namida, and I WILL be here for you… you’re… you’re the only thing that keeps me staying here, and if you leave, then I’ll be gone… with or without the girl I’ve come to…The friend I’ve found.”
Her gaze fell to the ground, darkness pulling at the corners of her vision. She could hardly hear him... but those words burned her. “F-friend?” She pulled her knees into her chest, “Dante...” her voice cracked, “I'm sorry.” She choked back tears, hardly managing to speak, “I'm sorry, Dante! I don't know anymore, don't be angry... please”
She opened her hand and blinked, staring for a moment at the contours of her palms. Did her hands not have the same power as his? Did her words not have the same sting? They did. She could punch just as easily as she could comfort. She clenched her jaw before looking up, her eyebrows drawing together... had she hurt him?
“I really am sorry...” she whispered softly before biting on her bottom lip.
Before she could wait for a response, a sudden indescribable pressure seized her body. It was so unbelievably strong that it at first it was as though her mind had shut down, unable to process anything more complicated than the most simple of human thought. She opened her mouth, gasping for air as though she were breathing through a straw. Her wide eyes stared blankly in utter incomprehension. She finally fell forward, her hands meeting the pavement, and she felt the rough gravel on her palms, and she was reassured somehow by the knowledge that she was still on solid ground. Her confidence building, Namida felt her initial shock fade, leaving room for a clearer mind. A new being had entered the scene... it had reiatsu like none she had ever felt. Its type and scale of power was so radically different from any shinigami she had ever encountered, leading her to believe that this was not an ally. Her throat ran dry. Would Sokou be strong enough? She didn't want to know the answer.
She gulped before lifting her head. Where was Dante? Neither of them had the strength to stand against such a foe, and she thought briefly of the day in the courtyard, where he started the fight with those boys... would he do the same in this situation? With this thought, a large lump formed in the back of her throat. She didn't want to ever see him hurt. Even in her fear, Namida's legs tensed, pushing against the forces dragging her down. She stood slowly, both hands closing into fists. She would do it. She didn't care if she lived or died, not today. The ones that wander through time searching for a purpose, for a reason to live are the most dangerous in the world.
But, as her opponent came crashing down, Namida was thrown from her already unsteady feet. Her body spiraled in the air before she landed heavily on her side. She struggled to move but her head wouldn't lift. She had fought it for so long... and it still came for her.
You belong to me, and you always will.
Her eyes closed slowly and darkness enveloped her.
Namida was asleep.

Sorry? He thought to himself.. his heart sinking. Sorry what? Why…? Icy cold fear trickled down his throat and burned into his stomach, mixing with the pain of his nerves. It did nothing, this apology… what was it even for, all he wanted to hear those two words that she seemed so reluctant to give him… “I’ll Stay.” I’m sorry, Dante nodded slowly, sorry that you have to go, he thought bitterly. Well so am I…
“I really am sorry...”
Everything slowed as he held her eyes in his, she truly did mean it. She was sorry… and who was he to feel bitter about the truth of things. His mouth twitched and he gave her a small toothless smile, his eyes glimmering with a sad happiness. She would never lie...
“Namida… I…” his words grasped out, imploring… reaching for that connection and trying to hold it tight. But his outstretched words were shattered as reiatsu suddenly and without warning swamped the area. Dante took a faltering step backwards, falling with a cry and a painful thud. The ground was cold and hard and the humiliation stung. Just when things had been… wait, Namida! Dante flew to his feet, was she ok? He saw her gasping for air and his heart froze, no… “NAMIDA?”. She began to stand shakily and he held out a cautionary hand, his eyes sparkling with a deep worry. There was a crash and he flinched. Namida flew off her feet, landing painfully. Dante’s eyes widened and he gasped, his world was a blur, his heart was racing. What was it? What had happened. Namida….
He could barely move, barely think, so strong was the power around him. And yet with a scream Dante forced his right foot forward, he needed to see her, he needed to help her.
“I am sorry, you must come with me.”
The words came from behind him, and he froze, his blood running cold. Fear consumed Dante, his mind could think of nothing else but his own death. It was coming, he knew it, he felt it. It wouldn’t be like the first time… this time there would be nothing….
“In you go please, quickly now, explanations later.”
Dante felt the tears coming, why… why was he so weak? What was this sadness, why did he cry? His father was right, there was no strength within him. But he truly didn’t want to die, he couldn’t, that emptiness was to great a fear for him to ever bear. His eyes suddenly focused on Namida’s limp form. His fists curled, slowly balling. Red hot tears marched down his cheeks with a sudden determination, she deserved… so much more. The reiatsu clamped down upon him, forcing him to his knees, and still he would not turn to face that faceless reaper. Why…. why did she have to go with him? He was crying, and yet through blurred eyes he saw her form, it was burned into his mind. Dante knew that he couldn’t let her die, not now… she had so much she needed to do, to overcome, to live through, to defeat, to accomplish. He knew that he loved her.
Dante began to get up, grunting with the effort, all that drove him, all that consumed him was his fury. It… it had done this to her. It had done this to Namida…. His muscles shook, it was taking all his effort to even get to his feet. His eyes saw nothing but her, lying so still. Dante would be there for her…he had too… she had … she had given him the most beautiful thing in the world. She had given him hope. This thing… this evil thing… could not change that, could not make him betray her. “You were wrong,” he told himself, “You were all wrong.” Painstakingly slow, he arose, his back stiff and his neck straight. The tears had stopped their march, and though the reiatsu still nipped at him, dogged him, even cowed him… he would not bow. Never bow. It would kill him first.
Dante gripped the hilt of his sword with a strength he never knew he had, his mind empty of all things. Exhilartion grasped him with fingers of wind, blowing him into the sky. This time, he would be the man… he would be the strong one. This time he wouldn’t leave without having done his part. As Dante turned a slow smile claimed his face as his nostrils flared. Anger and the empowerment of finality giving him the confidence to finally face his fear. He turned.
“Kill me.”
The slow scrape of an unsheathed blade rent the air, thick as it was with reiatsu. He held it out in-front of him for the first time, both of his hands gripping its worn and laced hilt with all of his strength. Nothing could ever be allowed to hurt her like that, never again.
“But do not try to take me away… I will never leave.” her… the last word was spoken only in his mind.
