Jerimiah saw the first blast let off, watched as the Cero sped toward him. He continued chanting the Kido Spell. "Hadou no Kyuu-Juu-Roku, Kami no Kouzui!!" He shouted, raising his voice at the climax of the spell. A jet of Super-cold water sprayed at his mostly bound foe. However, this shot at the Espada was costly. Jerimiah was not quick enough to dodge the Cero blast, and it caught his entire right arm, as well as his shoulder, charing it badly. He grimaced as the pain lanced up his arm, not unmanageable, but pretty bad nonetheless. He didn't even see the Gran Rey until it was nearly on top of him. His adrenaline probably saved him, as well as a boatload of luck. He dodged the second blast, the attack exploding on the ground where he had just been standing. The shock wave knocked him from his feet, and he landed on his newly injured arm. Stars overtook his vision, but he blinked them away, leaping to his feet and speeding in a circle around the Espada. He could only hope that his kido had landed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Seteku Drakulya, the Sexta Espada, was slowly re-aligning his molecules, his vaporous form slowly turning into a solid mass. His Head Fraccion stood nearby, supervising his master's reconstruction. "This is getting tiresome" The Espada, his silky-smooth voice sounding nebulous as he spoke. "I don't know why this takes so long." "Well, Drakulya-sama. You are slowly and carefully reconstructing your physical form, using pure willpower. Even for an Espada as powerful as yourself will have some trouble the first time." Please don't take that as insubordination Vry finished internally. Luckily for him, the Espada did not decide to fry his second-in-command on the spot. The Espada lapsed into silence for a moment. Then the cloud became thicker, turning into a more solid outline of the Espada. Then, the cloud trembled. "Do you sense that?" he asked, mentally giving the feeling to his subordinate. "Yes, it appears to be a very...powerful, and warped, Reiatsu. Should I investigate?" "No." Drakulya ordered. "This is not a force to be reckoned with. Send a lackey instead." "Yes, my lord." The Fraccion said, and vanished with a whoosh. What could this portend? the Espada contemplated, building himself all over again.

As Delfini's cero hit home, she blinked and let off a single bit of exasperated joy, then completed her midair time by turning her body into a sideways somersault. She landed on her hands and flipped twice more, to keep the distance between her master and her. She was more frightened by him than the Shinagami - his wrath was like unleashing the most deadly of storms upon a small town of innocents. His anger, his rage, they were the lightning - death followed swiftly like thunder.
And it was indeed growing, for Rela was growing more and more upset at his foe's tactics. The ice cold spray slammed into Rela's enormous body, and he moved a mere inch back in the sand. The water's cold contact froze on his free arm, freezing it in the upright blocking position it had assumed. As well, part of his chest was taken in, cradling around him like a spider's legs. He cursed foully, his eyes watching his foe get up from the explosion his attack had caused. Realizing that even he needed his left arm's use back and this ice off of his right, he remained motionless of breathe for a split second - then let the one he was holding out, gritting his teeth. His reiatsu level spiked, the air around him taking up the smell of something burnt. A red aura enveloped the Espada, and then closed in, right near the skin. Rela then let out a ferocious roar, a battle cry, letting his reiatsu explode out of him.The result of maxing out his power caused the ice grow soft first, then shatter in a 2-second process. His right arm ripped back, his knees bent, and the shade of red around him grew darker, almost demonic. His leg muscles sprang and Rela's enormous form back flipped once, then his right hand palmed the ground. Relampago curled up the massive muscles, spring loading before he launched again into the night sky. As he was incoming on his target his arm reached behind him and grabbed the hilt of his wicked blade, and he drew his bent zanpauku-to.
He landed where he predicted his Shinagami foe to have been running for, his feet thudding into the desert ground. He might have been grinning, or simply stuck in an odd angry expression, as his brought around his right hand held it it front of him, bringing it to bear. --- Delfini flinched - ominous news just came to bear. He excellent reiatsu-tracking skills came to fruition as she sensed several, new, and powerful. Also, a few power levels were vanishing - some Espada, some Shinagami, some unknown. What was she to make of this...? She turned back to her the carnage before her, resuming her watch but still keeping her senses alert. She sent Rela a quick mental warning vai their connection, to tell him to hurry up and finish the fight before something happened to them too.
--- "Surge, Piadoso Tempestad Reino!"
The flash of light from the blade was blinding, and the dark cloud from the blade's itself dark as ink. It engulfed the religious one, lightning cackling from it and then vanishing. White armor was in it's place, covering his torso, upper legs, and a helm-style carapace mask - the jaw and forehead was covered in the hard material, making him resemble a knight of old. He has braces on each appendage - 3 bars popping out from each. The bars themselves sparked occasionally, which was a warning to how electric the Diez Espada was. And the Diez Espada was indeed electric, his joy great at the moment. He held out his hands, showing the chains in them, having come off of him and blown loose from the surge.
"Oh, Shinagami infidel....sudden power changes indefinitely. But absolute power does not. My God has such power, and with it granted me this power. Now, show me your power that your unworthy Gods have given you, so that I may prove my Lord is indeed greater than yours!"

‘What…the…hell?’ Yamato’s skin began to crawl even as soon as he felt that…aura, and his confusing mixture of fear, confusion, and outright disgust only intensified as the sights and sounds continued to assault him. The sparks were unnerving, but nowhere near as unnerving as the voice. That voice…it was even more perversely twisted than the typical Hollow, its own sort of sonic nightmare. As the huge torrent of flame shot out in the darkness, Yamato didn’t move. If there was one thing he knew, it was fire, and he knew that this shot was merely a warning, something to keep him on his toes. Still, as he saw the face of the stranger, he gasped, clutching Vulcanus a little more tightly in mildly clammy hands.
And as the flames began to explode out in the darkness, Yamato resisted the powerful urge to retch. Only years of the most brutal battles could have prepared Yamato for what he saw there, and even then, it was almost too much for him to take. All those Shinigami, his brothers and sisters, murdered so brutally…the bile in his throat churned and settled, and the sickness gradually turned to a quiet, seething rage the likes of which Yamato had never felt before. He hitched a smile on his face that was, in its own right, insane and positively menacing as he finally addressed the thing in front of him.
“Dementia, you say? What an appropriate name…” He kept his tone as light as possible, even though inwardly, he was trembling in fear. He unscrewed the top of the hilt of his sword, and from the inside, he took out what looked like a small amount of black tar, which he quickly smeared on the wall. Doing nothing else yet, he began to speak again.
“You say it wouldn’t be fun if you let all of them…us, go. That nobody would notice when we’re gone. Well, Dementia, that’s where you’re wrong. Someone has already noticed. I’ve noticed. I’m not going to fight you here and now, because I know you’d flat out kill me.” Yamato spoke honestly, hoping that his candor would make this strange and terrifying creature more agreeable to his conditions. “But something tells me whoever…or whatever you work for would notice, too. Maybe not them, but certainly me. And punishments aren’t fun, are they, Dementia? Trust me, it’d be wise to let me go. And someday, hopefully someday soon, we’ll play a little game.” As he said the last sentence, Yamato’s eyes once again had the slightly insane glint behind them, but it didn’t carry through to his voice, which was even and calm, almost as if Yamato was speaking to a child.
“This’ll be a fun game. Lots of bright lights, explosions, hell, maybe even screams. No, on second thought, I promise screams. Lots of them. But see, if you kill me now, we’ll miss out on our chance to play this fun game. So until then…”
Yamato shot a blast of flame from his hands at the tar he’d left on the wall. It caught fire easily, and so there was a small flame, in the shape of a crescent moon, burning on the wall. Giving his maniacal grin once more, Yamato stared directly into those terrifying and repulsive eyes before flashing away at his maximum speed. He flashed all around Dementia as he spoke, hoping to give the creature the aural impression that he was surrounded on all sides by Yamato’s voice.
“I’ve got my eyes on you.” He then flashed away in earnest, praying that the terrible creature wouldn’t follow. As he looked back one more time, he caught one last glimpse of the burning crescent moon, symbol of his vigilance. As he escaped, Yamato resolved to embrace his subordinates as soon as he saw them again. And after that, well…
…he had preparations to make.

Asmodeus tried to throw himself out of the way at the last moment but he now faced the strongest blow yet thrown in the battle of Las Noches as it barreled toward him with the speed and force of multiple ceros. The excess energy that Torre could not afford to store in her damaged body was expelled as a single wave that cut across the room and demolished the greater half in which Asmodeus has been standing. It eventually hit the far wall and crashed straight through it, cutting through the multiple hallways beyond until finally it reached the outer wall of Las Noches and for brief moment all was silent and still before it blew a small portion of the wall out into Hueco Mundo. Despite its ferocity the “attack” had merely been the side effect of the sudden and unprepared shift in Torres energy to activate her resurrection. Like many who possessed awesome power but did not have equal control to wield it she was forced to expel what energy she could not control lest it destroy her from the inside. However unlike younger and more inexperienced members of the soul community she was more than capable of doing this during the phase in which she collected her energy within her, as had just been proven. Torre was now floating several feet off the grown as pure purple wings exploded out of her back in “jets”. This wasn’t something she did often as it drained her energy quickly but she planned to end this soon, she couldn’t piddle any longer. Meanwhile her armor was back now though this was natural hollows armor and not the metal she had been wearing before though they bore strong similarities. She possessed a much smaller version of her zanpaktou in one hand and on her other two slits in the top of her hand could extend to expose massive claws that she could make quick swipes with. Her mask retook the top of her face though it stopped just below her nose, meanwhile several long elegant spikes shot backward off her skull. With the wings included she truly did now look like a valkyrie of legend. Torre couldn’t waste any more time, she knew it and Asmodeus knew it. More than the fact that she was running on fumes despite her intense display was the fact that multiple people were moving toward them and no matter who they were Torre had no doubt they viewed her as an enemy at this point. Thus she didn’t have the time to try and take Asmodeus down with reserved maneuvers, she knew she needed to throw everything she had at him and then they had to run. At this point getting the children to the shinigami was a secondary objective, just getting everyone out alive was the main priority now, she could figure out how to send them back to Soul Society at a later time. Obviously the way she was thinking she expected Asmodeus to survive the blast and as if to prove her thoughts the man came shifting out of the smoke that the wave had driven up. She was pleasantly surprised to see that a significant portion of his right shoulder had been fractured and blown off and that his obvious snarl showed he was losing his cool. Asmodeus charged and slammed into Torre multiple times but in this form she proved far faster than the man had ever realized she could be and she managed not only to parry his blows but also to come up behind him several times. Asmodeus was forced to fall back but that was a bad move as Torre slashed out with her blade and released three blows of solid energy. Asmodeus was forced to dance around them as they passed by eventually crashing into the wall behind him and for the first time Torre came racing toward him, he suddenly became brutally aware that he was being backed into a corner with surprising speed and so it was at this time that he held both his arms out and they both turned into a mass of insects that greatly outnumbered those the previous time he had attempted this. However Torre was more than prepared for them and unleashed another flurry of blasts that tore them apart long before they reached her and forced Asmodeus to go on the defensive again. However while from appearances alone it appeared she had turned the battle around the fact that she was on a timer and that she was draining what remained of her energy at a rapid rate meant that it was little more than buying time at the moment. She formulated a plan ever so slowly, even she was tentative not only because of what it would do to her but because if she messed up and wasn’t around to help the children escape the rest of the way everything she had done until now would have been a waste. However as she and Asmodeus continued to trade blows that became weaker with every strike she realized that she had to stop holding back now or she wouldn’t have the energy to perform what needed to be done later. The first signs of what she was about to do occurred when her blade began to visibly glow. At first it could simply have been attributed to her throwing energy waves at Asmodeus but seeing as she was not capable of doing that while she prepared this maneuver and that it continued to grow in luminescence it would quickly be becoming clear what she was planning. Far behind them Akabane who had been standing in front of the group stared in wonderment as he knew exactly what was about to happen, he turned to Jessica and told them they had to run as fast as they could, and so they did. Meanwhile Asmodeus soon became aware of the glow and though he momentarily faltered as the growing energy within the blade was formidable a smile soon spread across his face and he spoke as they continued to trade blows. “What a waste Torre, you think you can destroy me with that? All I have to do is dodge and then your dead, you don’t think I can do that much?” Torre took a mighty and unexpected swing at Asmodeus and impacted his arms knocking him into a complete spin before he traveled toward the ground and hit it with great speed taking his focus away for several seconds. In the meantime Torre jumped back and grasped the hilt of her zanpaktou with her other hand before holding it above her. The blade was now glowing extremely bright white and a dark purple aurora was forming in the air, the energy within the blade began escalating rapidly. The children, Jessica and Akabane had clearly not gotten far enough away as he looked over his shoulder and stated. “What are you doing Torre?…You know I can’t protect them from that…” It was at that moment that time seemed to stand still and the force behind the blade was released for all to feel. It was Torre’s last chance to get out of here; she was putting all her power behind this attack and if it failed so did she. To make matters worse she was about to try something she never had before, she knew normally Explosión would have not just leveled a good portion of the outer portion of Las Noches but also killed everyone there as well including the children and her followers. That couldn’t be allowed to happen and so Torre focused with all her might to push all the energy in one direction, she was going to push it straight through Asmodeus…of course she didn’t have any idea what was actually going to happen. Asmodeus was set to dodge and went to throw himself to side as Torre’s wings pushed outward and she propelled herself across the area but the speed with which it happened surprised them both and Torre was on top of him before he had even begun to move. Her zanpaktou went clean through his chest and for the briefest moment both arrancar stared at each other both with looks of disbelief though for opposite reasons and then all at once the energy contained within released. It was unlike anything Torre had ever felt before and as hard as she tried to focus the energy in one direction it still managed to rebound and thanks to her attempts to fight it managed to hurt her in the process, blowing large chunks of her armor off. Asmodeus meanwhile was gone, he and everything in front of her was nothing but a massive wall of white. Though Torre had attempted to direct the energy some of it still managed to come at the children and Jessica. Though Akabane knew he could not stop it for long he tried his best and began to erect the red barrier he had used previously. However just as the first wave came bearing down on them a black figure dropped in front of Akabane and as if it was made completely of lethality stone the energies that had pressed on their bodies and minds until this time completely stopped. Though none of them could make out features due to the bright white light shining behind it the figure was humanoid and decidedly male. The tres espada or perhaps it is better to now say the previous tres espada briefly fell unconscious shortly after releasing the last bit of energy. She came to several seconds later but by then had already fallen to the floor and her powers had reverted back to normal, she now found herself drowsy and in a world of swirling dust and energy. She felt like laying there forever, she had not been this weakened in decades and she felt quite content to simply lay there and go to sleep as her brain was hardly functioning. It was only when the cold and hard energy signatures that what remained of her own senses could still pick up started pinging off in her head like mad dogs that she took action, if they had been close before they were on top of her now. She no longer had the presence of mind for true thought but something in the back of her head was telling her to move on and so she pulled herself and her blade off the floor quickly. She began limping as quickly as she could far across the room toward her followers breaking out of the massive cloud a few meters from the hall they were at. She briefly surveyed what she had done including a huge gaping hole in the ceiling that stared out at the night sky of Hueco Mundo but she now hardly cared about such things. All she was certain of was that Asmodeus was dead, perhaps in a bit of an abrupt manner but life did not always end as you might expect it and now she knew she had to leave for she could fight no more. As if far away she heard something hurtling toward her and turned on her heel with a great lurch almost as if drunk to look back. Despite how much energy she had used her trained eyes could see the person coming toward her and though she knew she was finished for the day she simply couldn’t stop and went to raise her zanpaktou into a block though anybody but her could have seen she was to slow now. The figure descended upon her and just when things looked their worst the same black figure that had saved Akabane and the others appeared before her drawing a large black saber and meeting Yun who had been the one to attack Torre head on blocking directly in front f her. The man wore a large black cloak over his body including a hood; unlike the others he had no golden trim on his outfit. Though he was wearing a hood it was not as if his face could not be seen by Yun, he had dark brown eyes and long black hair with a rather average look to him really, his skin color and features suggested he might have been the child of both orient and Caucasian descent. Without saying anything he threw a full forced lunge at Yun forcing the captain to back off before he spoke. “Now, now. If it were not for Torre-san your little objectives over there would have been dead long ago. So how about this, I’m going to take Torre and her followers away now…and you can just have what you came for, their waiting right over there.” Without waiting to see how Yun would respond the man spun around and held his hand out over Torres face. Torre had been fighting for so long and pushed herself far beyond her limit, the small amount of reiatsu the man pushed into her mind was more than enough and she toppled over whereupon he caught her in his arms. He immediately disappeared, appeared in front of Jessica, Umbra and Akabane and without even trying had them both in his arms before he disappeared again. Yun looked around rapidly, startled by the appearance and even more so when he realized the man really had just disappeared without a trace including those he took with him, either he was impossibly fast or he knew some sort of trick. Either way Yun’s thoughts turned elsewhere when he saw one of the shinigami student’s peek around the corner at him and for the first time since they arrived he actually felt like they had the upper hand. He turned around to call Nekomi over to him but when he looked he saw that two figures were standing directly behind his fellow captain, he saw the realization in her face as she began to turn around and he threw one foot down bursting toward the foes with all the speed he could muster. Meanwhile the cloaked man let Akabane and Jessica down in a heap and they would quickly realize they were on the white sands of Hueco Mundo. Torre in the mans arms had regained consciousness but she was not speaking or moving, clearly to tired and confused to care. She heard the man speak from a long way off and turned to see three figures standing out in the sand who some part of her recognized as Umbras fraccion, they seemed to react when they saw their transformed little master in Jessicas arms but Torre couldn’t hear what they said. “I said I would bring them.” The man had said, “So now it is time for you to go.” ------------------------------- Laetitia huffed and puffed as she quickly ran down the hall while holding a large bleeding cut on the right side of her abdomen while she dragged Volks now unconscious form with her left hand. She didn’t know why she was bothering with him for he was just dead weight and she wasn’t really attached to him, she wasn’t attached to anyone but she simply couldn’t leave him for some reason despite the danger. The girl known as Agony was toying with her, after cutting her belly the girl had released Laetitia and then thrown her out of the room and disappeared and even Laetitia wasn’t foolish enough to fight an un-winnable battle. However she occasionally caught sight of the girl around the next corner or heard her laughing off in the distance. She was keenly aware of the tactic being used against her for she had used it against many others before when getting information out of people. Thus she wasn’t fazed by it and perhaps it was this reaction, not being afraid that caused the girl to eventually stop following her, Laetitia had the feeling the girl had no interest in her in the first place but had rather been there for the captain. Meanwhile several halls back Agony sat against a nearby wall with her arms crossed looking none to pleased at the situation. The captain of 9th was gone now and along with him any enjoyment she might have derived out of the situation, the girl had been no fun to toy with and she had quickly given up on that. Now she just stood around brooding when all of a sudden a little carol started jingling from somewhere inside one of the many folds in her clothing. She nearly jumped out of her skin at first but eventually realized what it was and her face brightened up significantly. She eventually fished out a small black object that was unmistakably a cell phone with a small black bat charm hanging from it and opened it holding it up to her ear; clearly to work here it was no average device. “Helloooooooo Booboo-kun~~~~!!!” She nearly squealed with a big grin on her face. A sigh answered her briefly as if it had heard that name way too much before the voice of Death came across the line, “What’s your status?” “I’m all done here.” She said back, quickly disheartened that he had only called to talk business. “That was fast.” “Weeeeellllllll….” She began. “What happened this time?” Death deadpanned causing Agony to reel back several times as if she didn’t know how to respond. “WH---WHHHAAAATT!!!! THE STUPID CAPTAIN WAS ALREADY DONE FOR WHEN I GOT HERE!!! IT WASN’T MY FAULT!!!” There was silence on the line for several seconds before Death spoke, “I see…well if he couldn’t beat the random weaklings running around here he wouldn’t have been of much use to our plans anyway would he?” “YA!!! See that’s what I’m talking about!” She crossed her arms and pouted though what good that did since he couldn’t see her who knew, “See, always acting like I don’t know what I’m doing.” “Don’t say that just yet, because if you are finished I have something very important for you to do.” She let out a high pitch squeal and shook her arms back and forth at the idea of being given a special job by Booboo-kun. She was just about to ask what it was when he stated blankly. “Go capture Calixta before she gets word of what is happening. My Prodigium already has her location staked out and is just waiting for one of us to get her attention while they spring the trap, since your done you’re the lucky number.” Agony considered that with a rather surprised look for a time before a big smile spread across her face and she winked as if he could actually see her again while making the ‘OK’ sign with her fingers, “You’ve got it Booboo-kun, you just watch me!”, on the other end of the line Death sighed again before hanging up. Agony paid no more attention to the little Vice Captain making her way out of Las Noches, she had a real job to do now. ------------------------------- Dementia stood in the now empty hall for almost twenty seconds staring at the flaming symbol with an uncertain look on his face. Then after a significant period had passed his head snapped in the direction Yamato had ran off as his yellow eyes narrowed and in a single sonido that occurred so quickly the air in the hallway compressed and exploded with a pop he caught up with the captain. He actually ran backwards while standing next to the captain easily keeping up with Yamatos speed while staring at the man, not watching where he was going. This time however Dementia didn’t have the gleam of crazy in his eye he had before nor did he have the seemingly toying aura he had before, he was now staring straight through his foe with dead eyes. Once the captain had time to take in what had occurred Dementia spoke while continuing to run alongside the man. ”Yous…just don’t understand…” At that point Dementia jumped into the darkness that hovered above them where countless rafters supported the high ceiling. He began running along and skipping on the rafters clearly not worried if Yamato knew exactly where he was. He would perform great jumps occasionally and land several rafters ahead before continuing with his typical running skips and he drew one of his golden katanas, all the while he spoke. “I don’t care abouts the game or the punishments…I cares about the fun and watching them knows they can’t do nothings! Watching them squeals and screams and cries…because…because theys just to weak to do nothings bout it!” He began cackling manically at this point. Then all at once both his laughing and movement stopped as he planted himself firmly on one of rafters. He slammed the katana into the ground and then perched on the rafter in a manner befitting a gargoyle on an ancient cathedral, his eyes vaguely followed the escaping Yamato whom now that he had stopped put significant distance between the two at a quick rate. Dementia rolled his neck in socket and then drew the katana from the ground bringing it up to his face, his tongue escaped from his mouth and just kept coming as it wrapped around the sword several times and squeezed it until his tongue began to bleed before retreating back into his mouth whereupon he let out a rattling gurgle with a trace of a giggle. “If…if he goes…he mays bring more sweet meats to the fire…hehe…mores and mores because likes the ant they always teams togethers! Yes…more fun…more yummy.” And so Dementia stayed planted on the rafter for several more seconds before his presence disappeared completely. Regardless until Yamato escaped the halls of Las Noches he couldn’t help but feel that the arrancar was following him and occasionally he caught the slightest audible sound of a giggle hiding in the dark. ------------------------------- Silence passed her free hand through the lower locks of her hair and sighed. She then cast a demeaning glare at the duo still standing before her before raising what seemed to be her “control” hand toward them. “Fine if that’s the way you want to…wait…” her tone suddenly changed and wasn’t half as controlled as before as she almost blurted the next line out and completely lost the composure in her face, “did you just agree?…er..” For the first time since appearing it became painfully obvious that the personality Silence had presented had been a complete farce. More than likely she had just acted the part she had been given but her natural personality had messed it up in the end and for the first time color rushed to her face as she herself became aware of the fault she had just made. At the same time her eyes seemed to flicker to life from there previous dead state before they died down quietly again and she contained herself. She began speaking once more in the tone she had from the start, recollecting her movements and actions and apparently trying to pretend that hadn’t just happened. She raised her control hand gingerly toward them this time with what appeared to be a contained or perhaps was meant to be a comforting or agreeable smirk crossed her face. “Ah, we had hoped you would understand, I am so glad I didn’t receive one of those other divisions. Well an agreement then, I shall withdraw now and so long as you do the same then that is all the trouble we will have to have.” One could almost hear the unspoken acknowledgement at the end of ‘for now’. The countless red eyes which had been glowing farther behind the girl back in the darkness began disappearing instantly. Shortly after the girl uttered “Farewell” and pulled back into the cloak herself followed by her three crowned beasts, the last of which that had the gold helmet let out a great hiss at the captain before pulling away. It was only once they were all gone that the creature around Hana unraveled itself directly at the standing pair like a great carpet and flipped Hana into the air slightly before he landed at Minorus feet and rolled a bit. Hana immediately began gasping for air though every time he did he threw up blood shortly after, clearly the force of the creature having driven a bone through one of his lungs or causing one of the lungs to collapse all together. In this time the creature retreated into the wall it had come from and true to her word neither Silence Cradle nor her creatures presence could be felt for the remainder of Minoru’s time in Las Noches lest he back out on their agreement. In the meanwhile Hana managed to push himself up with his arms so that he sat on his knees with his legs splayed out to his sides. He looked up at Minoru and his normally sleepy violet eyes were filled with tears though they didn’t appear to be tears of pain as his appearance aside it was not the first time he had been injured. Rather it was clear he felt stupid and was trying to apologize but when he tried to back this up with words he was quickly forced to keel over again where upon he retched up the largest amount of blood he had yet. He quickly stopped his attempts at speech and just stayed sitting there finally returning a more casual stare back up at his captain while wiping his eyes with one of his hands when he finally regained the dexterity, waiting for Minoru’s orders instead of saying anything further which he clearly couldn’t have even if he had wanted.

With the transformed Galihan Umbra in her arms and with all three of the students either hanging onto her or lying over her shoulders Jessica was running as quickly as she could while being significantly encumbered by the weight. Among the Numéros who were truly capable she was definitely the physically weakest, and it was being proven by how she was now gasping for air and sweating extensively while just barely keeping an acceptable pace.
With Torre left behind to fight Asmodeus, the Uno espada, Jess had to worry about her, though now knowing how Torre had once been number one was slightly comforting atleast. However the girl arrancar had been given a very important task by Torre, and so she had to give her all in ensuring these children, who were infact older than her, ironically, survived this ordeal. But as she felt the sudden rise in Asmodeus pressure her morale faltered slightly, would Torre, who had already fought so many battles this day, be able to beat him? She was never truly able to finish her train of thought before she felt a change in Torre's own reiatsu, and though the young arrancar knew Torre had yet to release her Ressurection, she knew it was comming shortly...
Then suddenly a massive pressure was upon her, Jessica gasped loudly as she almost stumbled and fell, but was just able to catch herself, though she slowed down visibly. Torre's released reiatsu had caused extensive stress on the already encumbered and exhausted Jessica, but luckily for her Akabane ran up behind the girl and extended a shield which blocked the reiatsu pressure from reaching her and the shinigami students. Though she was not able to look back toward him she could tell it was a burden on the cat hollow. "Th.. Thanks Akabane-san. I'm sorry I can't be usefull..." She said inbetween gasping for air as she continued to run while carrying the students.
The group continued running down the massive hallways of Las Noches, all the while Torre and Asmodeus were still clashing quite some distance away, however that was when Torre decided to let loose her ultimate attack. Even as worn out as she was, Jessica felt the incomming energy just after it was released, being able to figure out just how powerful it would be and how far it could potentially reach within moments, and thus she knew it was impossible to outrun. Sliding to a stop Jessica then dumped off the students swiftly, but so they wouldent get hurt, as she turned towards Akabane who began to erect his barrier again. "I'll help too!" She said as she was about to pull out her sword, just as she saw the incomming wave of energy, fearing they would be overcome by it.
Before either of them could do much however a darkly cloathed man appeared just infront of the massive wave of energy, and then within an instant it just stoped like if it hit a wall, a wall which wouldent let anything through, and then a moment later the man was gone. "Wh... What just happened?" Jessica asked, her right hand still on the hilt of her halfly unsheated sword. Regaining her composure after just a few seconds Jessica slid her sword back into the scabbard as she turned back and picked up the still unconcious body of Galihan, before she looked at Akabane again. "We need to go help To-" She began aloud, but as she was about to finish her sentance a dark shadow flickered infront of her and she was suddenly being carried away at an exhilirating speed. "-ooooorre!?"
Like she had suddenly been picked up, she was then suddenly dropped off, landing with a gasp on the white dunest of Hueco Mundo. Still dazzed from all excertion on her body and mind, as well as from the sudden movement she had endured, it took Jessica almost a minute to actually be able to tell what was going on. Lying a meter to her side was the battered, but still alive Torre, which greatly eased Jessica's worries. Infront of them were a group of arrancar that the girl did not know for sure who they were, though she thought they seemed familiar. And from the way they were gathered around the transformed body of Galihan, she guessed they were his fraccion. Normally she would be worried about how she would explain that to them, but she was far too exhausted to care.
Jessica then pushed herself off from the ground, feeling to weak to stand, she settled with standing on her knees, as she turned to look at the darkly clad man who had saved them all. "Wh... Who, are you?" She asked weakly, all the days stress and excertions were finally taking their toll on her, and it was only by being worried about the wounded Torre, and the precense of the strange man, that she was able to force herself to not collapse.

Minoru looked on in amusement while all the while trying to retain his confident, serious attitude as it became clear that this woman named Silence was only putting on an act, albeit a really bad one considering her brake in focus and what would appear to be her true color peeking out despite her best interests to appear serious and in control. This bad attempt at acting tough almost had Minoru convinced he'd have been able to defeat Silence in combat, but then again with Hana being held captive, he wouldn't have dared actually attacking the mysterious woman or else risk losing one of his best officers. Sure, Hana would prove to be a hassle to deal with and sometimes just downright disturbing if you consider most people mistake him for a cute young girl, but beneath his surface was truly an incredibly unique mind that was purely beneficial to Squad Twelve.
As Silence fell back and vanished, Minoru looked down at the injured Hana, and gave him a silent nod and smile that almost said "It's alright," without having to actually say it. He could tell that Hana's internal injuries were severe so it would be for the best that he be treated on the spot to prevent other hollow and arrancar from attempting to pick of easy prey. He once again reached into his coat and pulled out the vial of medicine he had used earlier in his battle against the hollow he battled earlier. While incredibly potent, the elixir would be lethal in too large a dosage so Minoru had to be careful in judging how much to administer.
"Here," he said, kneeling down to pass the bottle to the wounded 3rd-Seat. "Just one large drop will do. It'll taste utterly horrid and be very painful, but it'll fix you up nicely until we get back home."
Indeed, while this was no miracle, as-seen-in-canon single-use regenerative-serum able to regrow entire limbs instantly, or some sort of mysterious leather bondage outfit able to regrow one's organs and tendons, and it would hurt like hell but this medicine Minoru was offering to Hana would be able to patch him up so they could return to the portal and head back to Soul Society. As he handed off the bottle to Hana, he turned to Kazue and grinned,
"I assume you did record what you could of that little encounter?" Minoru addressed his vice-captain. "With that little display of power, we ought to have more than enough data to easily make sure we can defeat her next time she shows herself."
He turned around, and began heading back the way he first came towards the exit into Hueco Mundo and away from Las Noches, hopefully nothing would have happened to the hollow he trapped outside to be taken back to base and examined for full details on the effects of the anti-hollow stake he brought with him, but at this point he actually could care less seeing as he now knew of a new threat to Soul Society that would have to be made their number one priority, the Horror Vacui.
Note to GK, considering how Urahara, Mayuri, and Szayel Aporro have all been able to utterly dominate their opponents by analyzing their opponents' reiatsu in relatively short periods of time, I believe it to be within canonical limits to say Minoru could analyze Silence's reiatsu to prepare for their next encounter. Of course I expect we will have to discuss the limitations of what can or will be done, I honestly don't intend to be able to devellop some sort of mircale instant-ownage god-moddy outcome but considering what is canon we have to accept what would probably be attempted.

You asked for it, the shinigami captain said internally to his foe. He stopped and set his feet, calling spiritually to his discarded Zanpakuto, which raced to his hand in a blur of spontaneous motion. The captain raised the middle of the chain above his head, and began to turn it, slowly, but increasing in speed until it was but a blur, even moving the air around him in a circular pattern. He then raised his voice in a call to arms, his Zanpakuto humming through the air with glee, about to be released. "Bankai!" And with that struck the ground in front of him with his Zanpakuto. The whole chain slid beneath the ground, throwing up a cloud of Blackened Smoke. The ground rumbled behind the smokescreen, and suddenly a large Black Serpent slithered from beneath the ground. "Yuudoku Teirei Karasuhebi! (Poisonous Divine Black-Snake)" With a tremendous roar, the snake freed it's entire quarter-mile length with a prodigious roar. Being 100 yards in diameter at the center, the Black and crimson Cobra was a terrible sight to behold, the black scales glittering in the light of Hueco Mundo's constant moon. On it's back, in a hollow right behind the head sat Jerimiah, commanding the snake with ease. Jerimiah whispered mentally to his Bankai, willing it do do this one command. Kill him with a single bite, my friend. The snake lunged at the Espada with a speed at odds with it's incredible size, mouth agape, the poisonous fangs ready to receive their newest victim. ((sorry about the shortness of this post, I'm in the process of writing a 5 page minimum report on the Moral State of America, and it takes a ton of research and time. I did this in the few minutes I could spare. Back to work now XP))

(OOC: Excuse the crappy post. Or don't and kill me.)
Rela's massive arms reached up as the giant snake's jaw reached him. His hands curled upon the lip of the jaw and his feet crunched into the sand. The crunched - and also pushed him back quite a distance. Relampago felt the large fangs brush slightly against his body, but he failed to falter, trying to keep the jaws from enveloping him. After a second he pushed very slightly, then flashed himself away with a sonido. He popped up a few yards away to the Captain's right. He braced up his muscles, as if preparing to charge ungracefully into the captain. However, Delfini suddenly appeared to his right, with a terrified look on her face.
"Rela, its ---"
He cut her off with a wave of his bear like palm. It was his way of telling her to communicate to him via her Relay. Immediately after he leapt up into the air, twice the height in the air as the snake with his powerful leap. The conductors on his hands glowed and sparked. He held both of them out, clutching his hands together.
"Sr Centella!"
The sparks concentrated with pure reiatsu and streamed out of the conductor rods and became a beam of electricity. It echoed towards the captain, not so fast that it wasn't dodgeable. Rela just wanted to test his foe's strength.
Rela, it's serious!
What? What is it?
Numeros Uno and Dos are dead. I can't sense Cuatro or Seis. And Tres's signal is giving off odd vibes to me. The shinagami's reiatsu readings are varied. And on top of that, some unknowns are present. It's got me worried...
...Hrm. This is unsettling....the Divine One is sending us a message! The chain of power is collapsing! We must return at once to see who the Lorde has placed in command now.
Delfini sonido'ed to Rela's back, grabbing him, sending a mental message to the Shinagami before dissapearing altogether.
My master would like to kill you at a more convienient date ... something has occured in Los Noches, and we need to get back there A.S.A.P. Thank you.

As Teirei was stopped mid-blow by the strength of the Diez Espada, Jerimiah knew something bad was happening. He began to sense an increasingly prevalent malignant presence. He believed that this was some new tactic of the Enemy, and as soon as Rela disappeared, he sprung into action. Teirei curled into a few coils, mouth opened in a loud hiss, and turned his head this way and that, on the lookout for any sign of an enemy, every single muscle tensed for an attack. This crouching position was a good dodge to an attack that Jerimiah had not seen until it whizzed above his head. Well, that was interesting, he thought to himself. At the sight of his foe retreating, Jerimiah debated over which course to take. This retreat could be a feint. he told himself, but another part of his mind debated that this was not true. From all indications, this enemy has been very single-minded and religiously-bent. That sort of drive does certainly create a predictiveness in an enemy, it argued. Ah, but this is not necessarily the case, he thought, but just as he was about to continue along this train of thought-this all occurred in about a second- he was interrupted by an invasion of his mind in the form of a message sent to him from his enemy.
My master would like to kill you at a more convienient date ... something has occured in Los Noches, and we need to get back there A.S.A.P. Thank you.
That must have been the female accompanying him, he thought to himself. I had better recall my troops if there is something that is actually frightening the Espada. Having decided his final action, he touched his hand to a pattern on the back of the skull of Teirei, and spoke loudly into it. "To all members of the Shinigami 8th squad! I call for a retreat! There is an unknown force assailing Las Noches, and it definately is not interested in helping us. I repeat, ignore all previous orders, and Retreat!" At this, he turned and went back to the gate leading to Seireite and stood guard, waiting for his officers to report about any casualties and other important information.

The man who had been walking away from them and preparing something in his hand turned and looked over his shoulder at Jessica’s comment. He seemed to ponder how he aught to answer for a few moments before grinning, not a malicious or evil grin, simply an amused one and answered.
“Well since you’re a friend of Torre I guess I don’t mind telling you that I am Hrugar…most will call me Wisher though.”
He seemed to fall into some deeper contemplation after that for a moment before turning back to accomplish his previous task. Meanwhile Torre who had been somewhat out of it continued to look at the back of the figure with some sort of curiosity, she couldn’t bring herself to say it at the moment but she wanted to, that was not Hrugar. She had no more time to contemplate the matter though for a giant purple portal sprung up before the man where he had stretched his hand out and performed a symbol, though everyone had surely realized due to his previous actions this was a sure sign of his power as most arrancar took quite a while to open such gateways to Earth. With that done he turned around and viewed them one more time with a caring eye that seemed to ominously suggest he didn’t expect to see them as they were again.
“Well then, there you go. I believe you can clearly see it is time for you to leave, I wish you luck…wherever you go.” One couldn’t help but feel this man already knew where they were going once on the other side even before they did, “Now please someone get Torr-”
He was cut off though as Torre stood up from where she had been laying, she coughed up a bit of blood in her effort but managed to complete the task. She looked the man square in the face and he returned the look for several seconds with the slightest tinge of a smile before she nodded her head. She wasn’t going to question fate, this might be their one chance out of here and even if she had denied it she could not have fought anyone here any longer, least of all this man. With that in mind she looked behind her and motioned to her followers as well as Umbras who had crowded around their leader and then forced the male Fraccion to hoist him on to his shoulder.
“Lets go.” She said, she briefly looked at the man and thought about thanking him but settled for simply nodding her head, given that she was unaware of his full motives.
That completed she took several steps past him and entered the portal where upon everything went dark, her followers came in shortly after and after considering their situation for several seconds and understanding everything that had happened Umbras fraccion along with the boy-man himself followed. Wisher watched for several seconds as their forms disappeared into the inky blackness of the portal with no particular facial expression, though he quietly whispered to himself.
“And so the move is made, there is no turning back, do we burn? Or does the world?”
And then he disappeared in a flash, off to finish the subjugation of Las Noches that was not yet complete.
-------------------------------
Instinct is an important thing, it can be helpful for moving quickly and surviving things you hardly knew were coming but it can also get you in a world of hurt since no thought goes into how its done. Both the captains over hundreds of years of practice had honed these facets of their skill to a knives edge and often their mental reactions were just as fast as their instinct. Regardless this time hadn’t been such for Nekomi, she jumped into the air and began to perform a back flip, however in the time she did this the larger figure reached up and plucked her out of the air by her leg. The figure that was now obviously male whipped her around in a circle like a rag before throwing her like a bullet toward Yun. Luckily by this point Yun had picked up on the situation and dodged to the side while holding his right arm out and catching the little captain by the waist while holding his blade out in his left hand and calling to it.
“Oouruzan-boukon, Meishi!” he heard the affirmation of all three kittens voices in his head.
Yun could detect the strength of both these opponents and could not hope to put off its activation any longer, especially after having already used a decent amount of energy against Asmodeus though he had not yet been weakened to an outwardly obvious point. Meanwhile his blade was encompassed in white light whereupon it lengthened into a long silver wave-blade while his glasses disappeared into a fine powder of soul energy and then re-cemented themselves into a red visor that crossed his eyes. At this point Yun dropped Nekomi to the ground and then while looking up and seeing his enemy’s soul-tag that was now glowing a bright red through his visor, disappeared with a boom.
His enemy might have been strong but Yun wasn’t a captain for no reason, his reiatsu began to burn red signifying that he was following the more aggressive form of Chaos persuasion and in a split second five different versions of Yun appeared around his opponent and hung in the air for a split second as he moved to fast to be seen. Then landing behind his enemy while the images still lingered he spun three times while grabbing the hilt of the blade in both hands and stabbed in at an angle completely perpendicular to his body. A loud clang sounded out and everything went still for a moment as they all took in what had just happened, Yun’s eyes momentarily widened as he looked at the fact that despite hitting his enemy dead on in its weak point the blade specially intended for piercing hadn’t even driven in a centimeter causing only the slightest trickle of blood.
“Well damn…” Yun managed to say shortly before performing a flip backwards and over a retaliatory strike the large figure delivered spinning around and swiping its massive fist low while landing a distance away.
Yun didn’t give them any time as he yelled out to Nekomi who looked as if she were about to attack as well, “Go Nekomi! Take the kids and get back to the entrance, sound the retreat were done here.”
“LIKE HELL!!!” the young captain responded.
“Do it! We’ve won this round; can’t you feel what’s happening around us? This is no time for trying to fight, or heroics.”
“What the FUCK do you call what your doing?!” She responded.
“GO GIRL!!!” Yun said harshly. There was a brief pause and then Nekomi was gone, angry or not she clearly understood he was right, Yun didn’t need to see that she had quickly picked up the students along the way as despite her small frame she could easily have held them between two fingers.
With her gone and the children safe Yun turned toward the two men standing before him. The large behemoth that had so easily shrugged off his attack stood at no less than eleven feet with an olive tan and a muscle-strapped body straight out of Olympian legends completely naked except for a long black pair of shorts and a massive golden hammer on his back. The hammer could easily have compared with the Tres Espada girls zanpaktou he had been aiming for just a minute earlier in terms of size. He bore a complete mask over his face though being an arrancar it could very well have been his face, Yun thought the masks had to be broken to become powerful arrancar but clearly something was up with this man as his mask was not broken and completely black. It appeared something like a mix between a bird and snake, with an elongated neck and segmented white layers, its visor like eyeholes burned bright red. The other was much smaller and shorter than Yun in fact, though size usually meant nothing in the world of souls Yuns astute senses could easily tell he was the weaker of the two. If Yun had to pinpoint the mans nationality in life he would have said Korean though it was hard to tell, he had black flowing hair and he seemed to have brown eyes but just behind them there was a constantly spinning silver and white glow. He wore a black dress shirt including golden buttons with a long flowing instructors cloak from 1800’s England over it that was also black with golden inlay, black pants and boots. He sported a golden rapier on his hip and a unique feature that immediately drew ones eyes were a series of gold and silver tattoos on his hands that formed chaos stars.
“A smart plan.” Said the large one in a deep voice, or at least Yun assumed it was him since nobody else’s mouth moved, but it was hard to tell, Yun could almost swear the voice had been in his head, “They call me, The Fury” the large one took a bow.
“And they gave me the long and ridiculous name of Chaos Manifesto…but please, Chaos will be fine.” said the smaller with his hand to his chest. The comparison with his own inner-selves Chaos was not lost on Yun.
Yun spun his blade in his hand once and realized that they must have felt quite confident to be taking things so leisurely, he couldn’t blame them, he wasn’t quite sure if he stood a chance himself. He considered the situation for a moment and decided he would try to prolong it for a while, the farther Nekomi got away before they started fighting the better.
“Very well.” Yun paused for a moment, “I am Saigotschuu Yun. Captain of the Tenth Division.”
“Ahhhhhh” rung out the Furies voice in a pleased tone, “Manners, how delightful. Then let me say this Saigotschuu Yun, if you leave right now we will not attack and will let you be on your way. We, the Horror Vacui, have plans for Las Noches and at present they do not involve the shinigami in either a positive or negative way. So we just want things emptied out, no reason for hostilities.” He placed his large hands together giving him a sort of monk like stance, or at least that was the insane thought that passed through Yuns mind.
“Pleasant façade or not a shinigami would have to be mad to turn his back on an arrancar just on the others word.” Yun said.
The large one let out a hearty chortle, “Then be mad Saigotschuu-san” Yun, didn’t like being addressed as a friend or equal by this…man, “I give you my word…but then I don’t suppose that’s worth much here. So I’ll leave the decision making in your hands.”
In the background as the three men stared each other down a loud klaxon sounded off from far away and was in fact coming from beyond the gate to Soul Society but echoed with unnatural spirit driven clarity through Las Noches. It filled the empty and still halls with an eerie cry that sounded like the deaths of a thousand children with each exhalation. The retreat had been sounded, all in Las Noches would know and after three ghastly cries of the report all three men began moving.

Outside the white walls of Las Noches under the infinite night sky, a trio of shinigami were retracing their own footprints back towards the massive gate from which most of the black-clad invaders of this place had came from, and was their only way home to the daylit world of Soul Society. Of course it was impossible to miss the portal, standing tall and emiting a bright light so strong that it could be seen for what was probably days away, as if the Captain of Squad Twleve who had opened it had invented the sun itself. Captain Minoru Daichi, Vice-captain Kazue Kiataro, and an injured 3rd-seat Hana Senzaikeiro, all of Squad Twelve, made good progress towards the gate before the official order to retreat was called, as they needed to get Hana to safety and report their findings on the newest threat to Soul Society. The medicine Minoru gave to his severely wounded subordinate did a miracle job at fixing up the feminine-looking boy's innards to the point of being able to walk on his own without help, but was still feeling what must have been a monstrous amount of pain after the injuries he sustained at the hands of Silence's rib-crushing serpentine appendages, as well as the unpleasant nature of the crude healing agent itself wasn't designed for internal damages but it still did its job, very painfully at least. As they moved towards the light of the doorway back home, Minoru wanted to take a small trip to where he had combated the the hollow with the powerful scythes earlier.
"Kazue," the captain called out to his 2nd-in-command. "Help Hana walk if he needs it, just make sure you two get back to Soul Society no matter what before they close it off, because once it closes..." He didn't feel like he needed to say any more than that, but did add at the end, "I have to investigate something really quick, don't worry about me, I'll be back before it has to close."
He disappeared using shunpo to quickly return to the location of his battle with the vasto lorde. The circumstances were unfortunate, given the short window of opportunity before the portal was going to have to close, in maybe 30 minutes tops, Minoru would have no means to transport a live prisoner into a maximum-security cell for examination so he would have to resort to gathering what little date he could from the battlefield before returning home, unfortunately without the prized catch he had immobilized and trapped prior. Indeed, upon arrival of the scene, there was not a single trace of the enemy, sp all there was for Minoru to gather was the sand where the hollow had been laying down, convulsing from reishi-scrambling shockwaves released from the stake used as a weapon by the inventive shinigami.
"Ah, too bad," Minoru told himself aloud. "Too bad I couldn't study him directly..."
Minoru gathered what little data from the scene he could, and ran off in a hurry to catch up with his subordinates, who would have made it back by now and were probably already home and making their way back to Squad Twelve's command center to tend to Hana properly. While the injuries sustained would have been fixable by Squad Four, Hana wasn't the kind of guy who'd do well being examined closely by strangers, considering that the only two people in all of Soul Society were aware of him being a transvestite, and not the cute girl he appeared to be, were Kazue and Minoru themselves.
Minoru, being greeted by a few guards protecting the gate, confirmed that Kazue and Hana had made it through. Minoru looked back at the shadowy world of eternal night one last time before entering the giant gate that led back to Soul Society, what he learned about the Horror Vaccui would have to be shared with the other Captains during the absolutely immanent meeting that would surely be called once everyone made it back. Before it would be called, Minoru decided to meet up with his 3rd-seat to heal him properly instead of the quick patch-up from earlier.
There was much to discuss and Minoru was sure that this was only the beginning of something much larger. The day would go down as a grand victory in the history books, but the real threat to Soul Society was yet to come.
---
It was a familiar sensation, the pain of a massive storm of violent reiatsu that tried to rip apart his mind. From the point the two tall arrancar began to fight in the halls of Las Noches, it became too much for the young shinigami to handle. He felt all sensation leave his body as the two espada clashed thier swords at high speeds, other black-clad assassins being driven off by the young female arrancar, his last memories before drifting away into a semi-conscious self-induced sleep to handle the heavy spirit pressure...
... I must endure...I must hold it out...This can't be the end......I refuse to accept this is the end...
I must become stronger! I must take control of my own destiny!
While none of the nearby arrancar would be able to sense it with their own battles going on, but at that moment, a massive pulse of energy began flowing from Takeshi, a strong, heavy flow of clean reiatsu that allowed the teenage-looking shinigami to stop being so overwhelmed by everyone else if by just enough to make through. And of course, what nobody would ever possibly see except for himself, began to come into focus again as he appeared to be out cold.
The dusty world began to stir, a midnight sky drenched a violent red lit by a fiery moon that raged in the heavens and unleashed hell on the world below, bright flashes of lightning danced across the bloody night sky to the beat of an explosive thunder orchestra. Thick, torrential sands kicked high and pelted his pale white skin, but was kept out of the teen's colorful eyes with a gloved hand shielding his tired-looking face. The faint visage of a tall, muscular man in tattered cloak approached him and stopped, signaling to follow through the maze without walls, into the crimson-lit darkness and sand-blasted wasteland beyond, a low, booming voice softly calling out his name.
Come with me, Eric. Let your strength push forwards and never turn back on your resolve!
Takeshi held right hand over his eyes and he began to run as fast as he could in the loose, coarse sand that his feet sunk into with each step that wasn't thrown around like the other sand that thickened the air with tiny, grainy blades of stone. He pursued the enigmatic character that knew his name, his real name, pursued him in search of answers.
You wont escape this time!
Behind him, the ground collapsed and the sand fell into a massive sinkhole, but Takeshi had already leaped a long stride, landing on a small boulder that didn't budge with the river of sand around it, following suit as the robed man ahead hopped from stone to stone across a vast ocean of fast flowing desert towards the ever expanding abysmal chasm of darkness. They ran for what felt like hours, stone to stone, each step farther and smaller in size until they reached what looked like a massive tower made of ancient brown stones and weathered marble. At that point in the outside world, the titans Torre and Asmodeus were at their battle's epic conclusion, and thier ultimate attacks unleashed, the power was too much for Takeshi's zanpakuto to hold off.
As the battle concluded, the great gates of the tower exploded open, millions of tonnes of red sand pouring out, dragging away the person from his inner world into a black pit of nothing until he finally came to full awareness of his whereabouts. He was still in Las Noches, the white fortress in the white desert, a desert nothing like the world of his zanpakuto, this was still the bleak Hueco Mundo. Unlike his own desert, the sky dead and eternal, the air cold and silent. He had barely the time to see the black uniform and white haoris of the shinigami captains before the anxiety of his situation, still being trapped in Hueco Mundo, was too much, and despite his rescuers being right there, he wanted to pass out in frustration, but then suddenly whisked away by who appeared to be a little girl, was this the Squad 11 captain he had heard about?
In any case, he was being taken away by the captain of compact proportions, and even now as he could see the light that must have been Soul Society ahead, he couldn't help but want to struggle free of her tiny hands' grip, and be able to walk through the doorway himself.
"Let me go!" Takeshi yelled out loud to the small rescuer, in hopes of her actually listening. "Please let me down, I have do it myself! I cant let myself get dragged out just like I was dragged in!"
Seeing as they were right at the gate, there couldn't have been any harm done, so Nekomi gladly threw the teenage-looking boy off her back and he landed in the sand, packed hard down from hundreds of marching and charging soldiers who had both came out and back in the gate before him.
Standing to his feet, dusting the white sand off his blue academy uniform, he found himself taking a handful of white sand and letting the tiny colorless granules slip through his fingers like water. The white world, falling through his grip as he let go his involuntary attachment to this place. Staring deep into the vast white opening, he could see the blue sky and green flora of Soul Society at the far end. Throwing down the last bit of sand to the ground, Takeshi ran with everything he had to finally be in control of his fate for the first time since the evening that felt like it had to have been at least... 15 months ago.

Yamato dashed away as quickly as possible, knowing that Dementia was more than likely watching him, if not following. Every step was unnerving, as every sound Yamato heard seemed to turn into Dementia's insane, nightmarish giggles. As he got outside of Las Noches, he quickly honed in on his subordinates' Spiritual signatures and dashed to them as quickly as possible. Hearing the klaxon sound, he shouted to them.
"Retreat! Retreat! That's the call to return to Soul Society! There's the gate up there!" Yamato cursed as he saw one of his comrades had lost an arm and was noticably limping, though the damage didn't seem to be permanent in Yamato's mostly uninformed assessment. Maybe just a sprained ankle or a torqued knee? At any rate, there was no way he could leave his friend there, and so he bolstered his comrade with his own body and motioned frantically for the others to follow. The sound grew louder as Yamato and his division mates got closer to the gate, and Yamato noticed, as his heart jumped into his throat, that the gate was beginning to get smaller.
Redoubling his speed despite considerable pain in his own leg, Yamato dove through the gate just as it was closing, and with a sigh of relief, noticed that all his Division mates, while injured, had made it through in time as well. Yamato sighed as he carried his injured comrade, longing for the return home.
'I told myself that was going to be fun,' he thought bitterly, 'and I suppose it was until that...thing showed up. What the hell was that thing? Whatever it was, I've got a lot of work to do if I hope to destroy it.'
'Yes, you do, kid. Yes, you do.'

It was dark...too dark. Nothing could be discerned out of the shadows that coated the hallway stretching in front of the captain of Division 7. The Kidou master and three of his guardians were planning their next move. They had been lucky and had only encountered a total of two weak Arrancar, unfortunately two of the guardians were taken by surprise when they arrived and were quickly taken care of by the monsters. A third guardian, the young girl Yoshie, was ordered to go find captain Saigutschuu and stay with him to help with medical purposes if they were needed. So Ryo, Kai, and Shin were standing behind there captain, waiting for orders. Arashi crossed his arms and observed the intense darkness, trying to discern any spiritual pressure from it. "Go...there is something down there...I won't risk losing more of my Chosen. I want you to find Yoshie...get her to treat your wounds, and then leave Hueco Mundo. You have been invaluable until this point, but I won't risk losing you." Ryu gritted his teeth and was about to protest when Arashi cut him off. "Do as I say!" The authority and power of the Kidou master's voice could not be argued with. The three bowed in respect and vanished ala Shunpo, as Arashi began walking down the corridor. His footsteps echoed off the dark walls, his breathing the only other thing filling the air with noise. A light shined through the gloom, a pin prick at the end of the hallway. Arashi continued walking cautiously, aware of the Reietsu signatures at the end.
The corridor ended abruptly, coming out into an expansive room, where a pair of Arrancar were in an intense battle, each eying the other with a look of such intense concentration they took no heed of Arashi. One of them sneered as he flexed his hand, ready to move at any moment. He grinned wildly as he saw an opening in his opponents defenses, and moved in with a triumphant grin. "King me!" The other one slammed his forehead down on the table, causing the checker board to shake as the last of his pieces was taken off the board. "You suck Yuki..." The other Arrancar groaned, tears leaking down his face ala bad cartoon anime styles. "Ha ha! Best 10 out of 19?" The victorious Arrancar said with a grin. He had black hair and an all around handsome appearance, his eyes were blue, with a band of bone around the left side of his left eye. The other Arrancar was about a head shorter then the first. He had red hair with a piece of black cloth which tied it back into a pony tail. "Oh hello there, do you wanna play a game?" the first Arrancar said, the one called Yuki asked with a friendly smile.
Arashi just stood there gaping, the two were playing...checkers...Checkers...?! "What the fuck?" Arashi's hand slid to the hilt of his Zanpakuto, resting there loosely, his fingers cupped around the pommel.
The red headed Arrancar got up and examined Arashi from a distance. "You're one of them Shinigami aint'cha?" The Arrancar sighed in exasperation. "I really don't want to fight you...it's too much of a bother. Yuki you take care of him would you? I'm gonna go grab a drink..." Yuki rolled his eyes and got up, stretching his lean arms behind him. "Yer a lazy bastard ya know that Ich? Oh well..." Yuki turned toward Arashi with a warm smile on his face. "Well, you know our names by now. I'm Yuki, that's Ichi. He doesn't like me using his full name so I won't. But anyway...Who would you be sir Death God?" The Arrancar spoke with a generally good nature, as his friend left the room via sonido.
Arashi cocked an eyebrow at the Arrancar, studying him as he considered whether to answer or not. After a second or two, he shrugged thinking what harm could it do. "Arashi. Captain of Division 7 of the Gotei 13." Reietsu sparked in his free hand as he prepared to release a Kidou.
"Ah, Arashi eh...that's a pretty cool name. And a captain as well, hoo boy. I'm 104, Ichi's 105. But I'm sure I'll be more then a match for you. Prepare yourself Cap'n..." The Arrancar vanished, leaving behind a sound of static, like the white noise from a television set. His reietsu was easy to track through the air, before a burst of light entered Arashi's vision coming from behind him.
The captain whipped around, the two forefingers on his left hand laced with white electricity. "Byakurai!" The hado spell erupted from Arashi's fingers, colliding with the Bala that was flying toward him. "A privaron...that's what you are." Arashi said brushing his arms off from the dust that had coated his Haori from the resulting explosion of the collision of the two forces.
The privaron espada clapped his hand jovially. A grin across his face. "Very good Cap'n...yeah I was the Dos Espada way back when. Got kicked out when the bitch decided I was no longer filling her desires...probably cause I liked board games more than doing my duties...Oh well..." The fact that the ex-espada was telling Arashi so much revealed he was a carefree type of person. The fact that he was playing checkers...in the middle of a war...showed that he was a carefree type of person. Yuki cocked his head at Arashi, observing the Shinigami's stature. "You seem to be skilled in Kidou...Likewise, I'm skilled in the Hollow techniques. My cero was unmatched back in the day..." Yuki sighed and his hand began to glow with a violet light. "This is my Cero..." The resulting blast was the size of an average Gran Rey Cero, violet in color and speeding toward Arashi at high velocities. Arashi swore loudly, utilizing a flash step to escape the blast, which ended up ripping a trench in the stone floor and blowing a hole the size of a whale in the wall upon impact.
Arashi stared at the smoke that issued from the crater on the wall. "That...was a Cero?" Arashi cocked an eyebrow in disbelief. "I guess I can't really play around can I?" The Shinigami drew his zanpakuto, holding it out in front of him, it's blade reflecting the hidden source of light. "Release your gale...Hissorihime." The katana dissolved into a wind based energy, which wraps itself around Arashi's arm, encasing it in a bright light. A burst of energy pushes outward, revealing the Captain's shikai. The silver armor gleams in the light as Arashi flexes his fingers. "Let's see...It's been a while since I used my initial release..." A gust blows through the cavernous room as Arashi lifts off the ground and hovers a few inches above the stone floor. "Well...this feels familiar..." Arashi smiles at his own jest, and looks up to gaze at his opponent. He winks, and vanishes appearing behind the Arrancar. A clang resounds throughout the room, as Arashi's fist collides with Yuki's blade.
"Not bad Cap'n..." Yuki grinned, and ripped his blade through the air, parrying off the blow. "Your faster than before..." The Arrancar noted with a jerk of his chin. "This will be an interesting game..." The room got heavier as Yuki let his reietsu flow. He swung his blade at Arashi's neck, causing another clang of metal on metal to resonate through the air as Arashi blocked the blow. The Arrancar leaped back and released a flurry of Bala at the Captain who dodged repeatedly using his speed to his advantage. Another Cero was charged up and released, this time impacting on Arasi's arm, as he rose it to defend himself. He was sent back into the wall from the force of the blow, just barely avoiding a crash, pushing his feet against the wall to soften the collision. Rushing forward, the wind from his reietsu wrapped around him, Arashi vanished with his Kaze Shunpo technique appearing at the other side of the room high in the air, a Kazeken. The wind blade glowed brightly and was launched downward at the Privaron Espada, spinning in a fast enough rotation to have streams of air spiral around it. "You tricky bastard...." The Privaron sheathes his sword and puts his hands out in front of him, shaped in an 'O' formation. The Kazera was drawn to it like a magnet, and was reduced in size at it went through his fingers, into the hole in his chest. His chest glowed a bright purple, and the blast was launched back out of it as Yuki pulled his arms back. "My Diezmar... " The blast collided with the surprised Arashi, sending him flying backward into the ceiling before falling to the ground.
Groaning, the Wind Master pushes himself upwards..."Heh...guess I should have expected this...you were the 2nd most powerful Espada, or so you claim..." Arashi pushed the hand with his Zanpakuto out in front of him, putting his other hand in front of his face, his two forefingers standing upright while the rest were curled into a fist. "I who stand in the full light of heaven, command thee who opens the gates of hell! Come forth, divine lightning! Hadou 92. Tenshu Kanadzuchi!" A circle of lightning surrounded the Arrancar who looked around in astonishment. His eyes grew wide as he was slowly electrocuted, paralyzing him with pain. Arashi's hands were thrust in front of him together, and he ripped them apart from each other. A pillar of electricity descended upon the unlucky Privaron, causing him to scream out in agony. When the blue reishi faded, the Arrancar was left kneeling on the ground, smoke issuing from his body, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Arashi too was panting from the excursion of one of the more powerful of his Hado spells.
Yuki struggled into a standing position, breathing heavily as if he had ran several miles nonstop."Not...bad...Cap'n...Looks like I'll have to change my tactics..." The Arrancar drew his blade. Holding it out to the side, pointing downward. "Blaze...Umbrio Lumbre..." Reishi exploded outward from the Arrancar. Turning into a violet flame that surrounded him ala Super Seiyan style. The flames turned transparent, revealing Yuki. His mask had wrapped around both sides of his head, forming into a spike that covered each of his ears, about four inches each in length. His chest had the white armor of a Hollow as well, leaving his toned stomach open. Likewise his legs and waist were both covered as well, a feline tail waved back and forth behind him as he crossed his arms. "You're good enough to see me release my Zanpakuto...that's pretty impressive in my books. I really hate to do this, but I should probably kill you now." Yuki pulled his arm back, before thrusting it forward in a punch, causing a blast of the purple flames to speed toward Arashi.
A drop of sweat rolled down the Kidou Master's face from the excursions of his last spell, he wasn't able to move quick enough to dodge the blast. Crossing his arms in front of his face, he took it on full force, being pushed backward across the room. "Shit...this isn't good. Doesn't look like I have much of a choice..." Arashi balled his zanpakuto into a fist, and held it up in front of his face. "Bankai!" A blast of energy and wind radiates out from the Kidou Master, making it nearly impossible to discern any features through the cloud of Spirit Particles. The reietsu in the room got considerably denser. Through however, Arashi sensed other battles taking place all over Las Noches...one of them seemed to be between Arrancar...Arashi shook his head, there was no time to be worrying about that right now. The spirit particles faded away, and a completely changed Arashi was unveiled. His Shinigami robes were completely white, with a pair of white, feathered wings bursting out from his shoulder blades. Four viscous double-ended tri-bladed spears float around him, and both his arms were covered with white armor, each with an opening in the metal on the top of his wrists. "Hissorihime no Shi Kaze" Arashi flared his wings, before rocketing forward toward Yuki. He grasped one of the four spears, and aimed to impale the Arrancar onto it. Yuki was able to see through the attack though, and leaped into the air, more violet flames surging down his arm. The remaining trio of spears spun around at a high velocity to ward of the powerful attack. "Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens. Hadou 66! Soren Sokatsui!" Both ends of the trident that Arashi held erupted in blue fire as the Kidou master spun it around with a high enough velocity to make it seem like a plane's propeller. Arashi launched the spear, spinning like a giant wheel of flaming death, it collided with Yuki, who had no room to maneuver away from it due to the close proximity. The Arrancar flew backward, hitting the ceiling with a yelp of pain. Arashi released the spear he held letting it return to it's hovering position beside him. He thrust both his fists forward, a pair of Kazeken releasing from the slots on his fist. "Baizou Kazera!" The blades spun around each other in a double helix, leaving a stream of reishi behind them before colliding with Yuki. Arashi unleashed his attacks so quick that the Privaron Espada didn't have a chance to utilize a proper defense. That alone was his downfall. In short, the Seventh Division captain got a lucky shot.
Yuki fell to the ground with a groan, broken and bloody he laughed weakly. "I guess...you won...Cap'n..." Yuki collapsed, no longer breathing, a grin across his features. "So...he lost." Ichi appeared next to his fallen companion via sonido. "You better get out of here...there are people here who will kill you. Don't worry about him by the way, he wasn't called Yukito the Undying for nothing." Bending down, Ichi placed a hand on the previous Dos Espada's shoulder, before both of them vanished within a Garganta.
After the spirit gate closed, Arashi's bankai faded with a burst of reishi. The floating spirit particles from his bankai drew together to reform the sealed zanpakuto that belonged to the Kidou Master. Sheathing his blade, Arashi dashed back the way he came, sensing the reietsu of the other Shinigami gathering outside near the gate. Dashing down corridor after corridor, Arashi could feel the various battles ending. After what felt like an age, Arashi spotted the light of the bleak world of Heuco Mundo at the end of the tunnel he was traversing down. His arms flying freely behind him Arashi launched himself out from the belly of Las Noches. Everyone was retreating toward the gate, part of the wall of Las Noches was nothing but rubble, a black stain indicated that someone was completely annihilated. "Questions can wait till later...I need to get out of here." With that, Arashi checked to make sure his Guardians were no longer in Las Noches, confirming that Yoshie was still there he raced toward where she was, finishing healing someone who had been injured. "Yoshie, we have to leave now." The fourth seat stared up at her captain and nodded as the patient got up from his laying position.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Darkness...what was with this? This...was not happening. Desmae...he was dead. The entire squad was dead...Hikaru panted with the excursion. Her hands were shaking, causing Junsei Ryoushi's triggers to rattle slightly. "Come out Hrugar! Face me damn it! Hiding in the shadows. You're a coward!" The 10th Division Vice captain was for once in her life as a Shinigami scared for her own life. A laugh issued from the shadows, a bone chilling laugh that caused a shudder to roll down Hikaru's spine. Energy began gathering at the barrels of her pistols. "Eat this you son of a bitch!" The resulting blast from the Ryoku Bakuha flew into the darkness, being swallowed without any effect what so ever. "Shit...what are you..." A tendril lanced outward, wrapping around her wrist and trying to drag her forward. "Let go of me!" Another blast from her Shikai sliced the tendril, causing it to reel and recede back into the shadows.
"It seems your will to survive is stronger then your comrades...Unfortunately you must join them in the void..." Hrugar's voice sent another shiver down her back, which was intensified as not one, not two, not even three. But almost a dozen tendrils were lancing toward her, each wrapping around a different part of the vice captain's body.
Hikaru struggled, trying to break free from the shadows that were threatening to engulf her. "No, get off you piece of shit. Junsei...help me..." She called out to her Zanpakuto in vain, hoping for an answer to her pleas. "Are you just going to watch me die?"
"You need to learn to survive on your own. How do you expect to wield my power without the confidence in yourself first?" The voice of her spirit radiated inside her mind, it was scolding her...that stupid cat was scolding her! She growled and pulled her right arm back, straining against the tendril of darkness, until it actually snapped.
"Not today...I...will not...DIE HERE!!!" her vision blacked out, and she found herself in the jungle that served as her inner world. "What..." The massive panther gazed at her unblinkingly. It got up and stretched, yawning. Padding over to her Junsei looked at her straight in the eyes. "Do you want my help? Hikaru-chan..." Hikaru balled her fists. "No I don't want your help!" The Vice captain looked down, fear obvious in her stature. "However...if I do die here, I want it to be with you...but I'll give that bastard a fight he'll never forget!" The panther nodded, a small chuckle breaching her mind. "That's my Hikaru..." Junsei's tongue scraped against Hikaru's cheek. His head rubbing against her fondly. "We fight and die together..."
An explosion of reietsu shredded the remaining tendrils as the Reishi surged around the form of Hikaru. Invigorated with new energy her reietsu was visible, chips of stone from the floor hovering upward from the force of the spiritual pressure. "Ban...KAI!" She shouted, her eyes burning with her will to survive. Another surge in her reishi exploded outward as her form began changing. Her hair was shadowed and became black, a pair of cat ears replacing her old ones, in addition to the tail that was now swishing back and forth behind her. A new set of clothes adorns her form, the outfit is black, with her shoulders and upper back bare. She has no sleeves and the white cloth that keeps her hair in check, is now black and is tied around her hair into a ponytail. She wears very small shorts with skin tight fishnets on her legs. Her feet are left bare however. Finally we come to her eyes, they are no longer blue, but a bright green much like Junsei. Her pistols have transformed into a pair of P90 SMGs. "Junsei Ryoushi Yasuraka..." Hikaru marveled at her own strength, the fact that she finally achieved bankai...Her grip tightened on the pair of SMGs as a much larger tendril than before rose from the darkness, it had a scythe blade on it and was preparing for a strike. Without giving it the chance, Hikaru leaped into the air with the grace and dexterity of a feline, aiming both of her weapons a flurry of bullets released themselves from the barrels. A series of loud clinks were heard as the rain of bullets impacted against it.
"So...your stronger then I first realized. it looks like I might have to get serious..." That son of a bitch was mocking her! She sneered as a half a dozen tendrils, all with various weapons on the end came forth from the darkness.
Hikaru spun in the air, her arms stretched outward from her. A series of bullets were released in the air as she flipped and spun, taking out every single one of the tendrils that were attacking her with her powered up Rasenfurea. "Come out and face me you cowardly bastard!" Hikaru yelled into the darkness. A long sigh was what she got in return as the darkness began receding.
"If you insist..." Hrugar said, his voice no longer booming throughout the room seemingly coming from everywhere at once. The blond Arrancar grasped the hilt of a blade as the darkness vanished completely.A sonido later later, he had swung his blade effortlessly at the vice captain. Crossing her P90's in front of her, she was able to deflect the blow, before seemingly vanishing as she moved to the other end of the room. "This is fun you know, your a good playmate!" Hrugar smiled pleasantly, as if he was giving a compliment. His blue eyes glinted in the candle light as Hikaru began shooting her SMGs, aiming carefully trying to hit him. The Arrancar dodge the majority of them, but was clipped on the shoulder, a trail of blood rolling down his arm. "Ahh...seems like you got me. That wasn't very nice of you..." A sudden weight was pressed down on Hikaru's chest as the pressure of his reietsu increased dramatically. Blood spurted from her own shoulder as his blade dug into it. "This has been fun...but I can't play with you anymore..." Hrugar was right next to her, whispering softly in her ear as if too a lover. Hikaru's eyes widened as she felt his blade impale her stomach. She was lifted into the air, and felt the blade slide out of her as she was tossed through the walls, flying out into the desert of Hueco Mundo, landing unmovingly with a thud, staining the white sand red.
A lone figured groans in the corner of the room where Hrugar and Hikaru had done battle...the form of the presumed deceased leader of Death's Hand glared at the form of the fights victor as he vanished from sight. The voice of Desmae radiated out of Las Noches, fury layering his voice. "YOU BASTARD! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!" Common sense actually ran through the leader of the Death's Hand as he was able to push himself off the ground and regain enough strength to get out of the white walls of the Espada's home. He kneeled down on the ground where Hikaru lay, bloody and just barely conscious.
"D..Des...mae...?" She said softly, confused that his face had swam into her vision.
"Hikaru...shit..." Desmae lifted her up into his arms, and walked toward the gate back to Soul Society.

((OOC: This is the finale here. Post your closing statements in your next post for each character because my post after that will be the Epilogue and then the arc will officially close.))
-------------------------
The shinigami of soul society made their hasty retreat, a new threat driving them back and their objective thankfully complete despite extreme odds. Amidst this all it was doubtful one noticed as the outer shell of Las Noches rippled for a moment but it was very doubtful they missed what came next as a massive section on the “front” exploded outward in a mist of rock like shards, adding just one more war scar to the giant dome. A shadow came hurtling out at the same time clearly the victim of the brute force and slammed into the sand several times kicking up plumes of dust in the process before coming to rest halfway to the gate. It didn't rest for long and a moment later the one known as Chaos rose from up, slicked his hair back once more and cracked a mean grin back toward the hole. Many shinigami were swarming toward the gate and his arrival had been a surprise but he completely ignored them, and counting their lucky stars since his reiatsu was blaring and higher than all of them combined most were smart enough to just keep going. He raised his right hand and a large red circle with a strange star pattern formed directly in front of his open palm, moments later he launched multiple ceros in quick succession that were just slighty sub-par to a regular espadas fully charged gran ray cero.
They went on to form giant new holes in the outside of Las Noches and just a split second after they made impact another large hole exploded from inside but this time on the ground level. The two holes merged and finally weakened the structure enough that the entire front quarter of Las Noches collapsed so that one could actively see into many corridors that had moments prior been in deep seclusion. It was clear these new individuals had no care for Las Noches, whether they had other plans for the structure or just considered the manual labor to repair it a small thing was unknown, either way it made for quite a show. This latter hole saw another individual flying out and spiking in the sand even further than Chaos had. Unlike Chaos who had crumpled Yun placed his hand in the sand and performed a round about twist causing a large tidal wave of sand to shoot off in the opposite direction from the friction and force before he placed his feet back on the ground at a standing tilt. His right abdomen was completely shredded and while most of it was a bloody mess one could clearly see a singular broken rib jutting straight out. Despite this and the fact that he was clearly in pain he kept on the move and began retreating toward the portal since almost all had already made their escape. Behind him Chaos was aiming toward him while even further behind Fury came trotting out of Las Noches wielding his massive hammer which was still covered in Yun's blood and gore from one misjudged strike on Yun's part, the beast was far faster than one might believe as showcased when he sonido'd and showed up to his partner Chaos.
Yun dodged from side to side as Chaos fired his cero, Yun couldn't help but feel that Chaos was purposefully missing with some of his stronger attacks. Eventually the arrancar stopped firing as regularly when Yun put more distance between them, it didn't make much sense but he welcomed the breathing space it gave. At his speed it didn't take long for him to make it to the giant glowing gate that most of the Shinigami had already passed through. Upon arriving he found Kuatura still standing at the gate leaning against one of the polls that formed the boundary, crossing his arms and watching the field between them and Las Noches with a cold stare the younger man rarely wore. Yun turned around and looked out at the same sight, Chaos and Fury were still off a ways and seemed to be taking their time, for all intents and purposes it seemed what they said was true. However Yun was brutally aware of other strong signals popping up here and there and he spotted one young girl followed by a multitude of long tentacle like snakes appearing from one corner of Las Noches far off in the distance and a little closer, just a ways behind Chaos and Fury a dark skinned man with broken wings actually lifted out of the sand, appearing out of nowhere. Meanwhile Yun turned his attention to the few remaining shinigami making their way across the field and through the portal, amongst them he spotted Laetitia, he briefly remembered losing his lock on Hitotsu earlier though until now he had blamed it on the errant energy flying around and so called out.
“Where is your captain Laetitia?”
The girl who was hefting one of her followers who looked on the edge of death just shot him a glare and shook her head. Yun was taken aback by this, he didn't need to ask what she meant and as she disappeared through the portal along with the others he found it decreasingly hard to believe. True coming here he had expected to lose some shinigami allies but no captains, however with the arrival of this new threat as well as having had duked it out with Espada prior perhaps they should have considered themselves lucky to have only lost a single captain. He hated to sound dark but of the ones they could have lost the one who would make the least impact and could be easily replaced had been chosen.
Yun watched with a certain sort of disbelief as a battered and broken Desmae approached carrying an equally destroyed and now unconscious Hikaru. Though he kept himself as disconnected as possible and in truth he and Hikaru had, had by far the least intimate relationship of any in the long list of his own Vice-captains he still felt protective. Desmae never really approached him, Yun looked at Hikaru then to Desmae and with an unspoken affirmation the man walked right by his captain and Yun went right back to watching the opponents across the way. He could do nothing for the girl, she would have a far better chance on the other side and worrying would change nothing. Regardless his steely resolve to see this through to the end just increased and as Desmae disappeared through the gate behind him he vowed he would at the very least see the one who had done that to her brought to justice.
In the distance he became aware as the man who had parried his blow and ran off with Torre arose in the field and despite the distance he knew their eyes met for a brief moment, he was also aware that the Horro Vacui as they called themselves were reaching a limit several hundred meters out, stopping and watching them.
Yun felt he would die the moment he turned around as he could never face all of them at once but made the mistake of turning as someone burst through the gate behind him, he turned and even Kuatura who had still been standing behind him jumped away from where he had been leaning in surprise. However both men who were understandably on edge calmed down when they saw it was Nekomi, no doubt returned from delivering the children. She looked out at the field and the enemies arraying themselves against them and looked ready to charge out to a fight that very moment, Yun however held his arm out and the tiny captain though aggravated did not complain, perhaps having already received orders from the Commander General of a similar variety.
Several shinigami darted past them coming up from the far right of all places getting around the waiting Horro Vacui, Yun was aware it was what was left of second division, he was painfully aware Kisho was not amongst them. He had no great love for the second division but Kisho had been the first of its captains to try and get along with Yun who had a bad history amongst them, he hoped that the man was either already through or was bringing up the rear and was cloaking his reiatsu well. Yun spared an eye toward Kuatura and shook his head toward the gate telling the younger man to move on through but Kuatura shook his head in return.
“I'm waiting for Kaiba.” He did not sound certain in the least.
Yun thought about that one for a moment as well, he was sure Kuatura understood the meaning behind it as well as nobody else was making their way through the field, and even if anyone else was still within the structure the Horror Vacui were now in the way and he doubted their passiveness was going to last much longer. Thus turning around he grabbed Kuatura by the front of his open jacket and with his superior strength easily pushed the man into a stumble right through the gate. He imagined Kuatura might curse him out when he arrived on the other side but in the long run it was for the best. Kuatura had barely disappeared through the gate uttering an oath of surprise on the way when both Yun and Nekomi spun around hearing the sound of clashing blades behind them. At first Yun was on the defensive until he realized all the Horror Vacui that had already been present were still standing by patiently.
Their eyes fell on two clashing blades growing ever closer to the portal coming from the right. Despite how fast they were moving Yun's trained eyes easily tracked Kisho as he fought with a slender young arrancar cloaked in a skintight black suit and wielding an equally black dagger not much larger than Yun's. She possessed long flowing black hair and deep brown eyes, so dark they might as well have been black themselves, though they were moving quickly what Yun saw of her face suggested uncaring neutrality and an almost robotic nature to her movements, a killing machine of sorts. And killing she was, uninjured herself Kisho was bleeding from multiple wounds to his torso and upper-limbs, regardless he was making his way to the portal and it was doubtful she would win before then. Then in one amateur mistake that all changed and Yun thought he heard Nekomi let out a little gasp as Kisho apparently thinking he was close enough to the portal broke off from the fight and turned his back for a split-second. The girls blade plunged into their fellow captains neck at the top of the spine and in a moment had ripped down through every vertebrae within, launching an unreal quantity of blood into the air. In no time Kishos body went limp and slammed into the white sand staining it red for several meters as he came to a sliding stop, Yun had no doubt he was already quite dead and though that reality was hard to swallow both captains were veterans and were already moving on, they could contemplate this loss later. Yun momentarily reprimanded himself for allowing the seemingly non-hostile intentions of the Horror Vacui convince him they weren't actually going to kill any of them.
Regardless of the speed with which he reacted though even he was unprepared for the intense red cero that came rushing across the white sand, glassing it over in a semi-circle pattern as it passed. Chaos had aimed right for Yun, it was clear the charade was off and it was all or nothing now, and with that just as the cero came in for a home run he was slammed from behind. The impact told him immediately that Nekomi had forced him out of the way and just as he got out of its diameter the cero impacted. Able reaction times holding him he whipped around in time to see the narrow but impossibly powerful cero encompass the little girls body not five feet in front of him, the center of it clearly pierced her chest and in a moments time she was gone being blown straight through the portal. For the first time Yun froze momentarily to watch the girl who had fought with him and whom he had begun to believe as invincible as he often believed himself.
It was all the opening the enemy needed. He didn't know who or what had just arrived but in the blink of ones eye the Horror Vacui were assembled before him making no movement, and the reason was obvious the next as a single individual broke free from the walls of Las Noches, covered the endless terrain between and was on him before he could even turn his head. Time seemed to slow down as it often does when one is sharp enough to sense or even see what is coming but incapable of physically reacting with such speed. Something hit him so hard in the gut that the blood coming from his ruptured trachea and at least one lung came up almost as quickly as the air was pushed out of him. He vomited a great heaving mass of the crimson ichor while even more ejected from the wound The Fury had inflicted before spilling out into the white sand. At the same time he was convinced every bone in his torso had shattered and felt the organs within his body slam against his insides like ping-pong balls. Yun finally managed to look at his attacker if by nothing else through the momentum of the strike to his body and found a young blond man standing before him holding him a few inches off the ground, of course some instinctive part still working in the back of his brain told him calling anyone with this much power was a blatant lie to the senses. The man looked at him and Yun saw that his right eye was glowing bright red as the air around them shifted in just a way to blow his hair up in a showy fashion, Yun's dull senses only realized at the last second that this in reality seemed to be a practical event and a cyclone like energy was forming from below the man.
“It is time for you to go. Tell your people that from this day forward they should keep to their own, we don't care about you. Tell them I, Death and my fellow Dominus of the Horror Vacui have said as such. Return only should you wish to forfeit your life.”
And with a sickening lurch and a motion so quick Yun couldn't follow it he was in the air one moment and then a massive blow to his upper chest fractured whatever hadn't been broken in the first place, the sickening grinding sound it made within during this event was enough to tell you that wasn't many. He briefly noted the one named Death had kicked him, then he was looking at black sky and before he could understand why he was staring at blue sky. From somewhere he heard a mass of sound and though he didn't realize it was because of him quite a few screams were let off as he came sailing through the gate into Soul Society. Yun would likely have gone flying for hundreds of meters before crashing into the ground a long ways back but a large contingent of shinigami had produced a guard before the gate expecting enemies to come through at any moment. Instead they provided a living pillow for the flying Yun and though his injuries were significant already they did serve to lessen the final impact, how much power had been behind it was shown when nearly four dozen of them went toppling backwards from his impact against one in a domino like effect.
Sounds were dulled and what was happening was lost on him as the mass entanglement of bodies tried to once more find their footing, most of them still unsure what had just happened and if they were under attack. Yun as confused as his mind was at that point was still functioning on the most basic of levels, focusing on what had just happened. He brought himself to his feet and began walking in a punch-drunk fashion and though he felt like he was walking for hours he in fact covered no more than ten feet. Unbeknown to him he was actually calling out Nekomi's name at this point, meanwhile the recovered shinigami around him had at this point realized what a state he was in and were reaching out trying to get him to sit down. However he continued to wander until he spotted a group of division four members attending to a small body nearby which had lost an extreme amount of blood all over the ground crowded around them were countless members of the eleventh division. If he had been his normal self he might have noted with some amusement that many of them had broken down crying quite against elevenths attempt at a tough visage but instead he simply stared for a long time. Not because he was shocked for his brain was far beyond that, but rather because he was so weak himself that now that he had found what he was looking for he was unsure of what to do. He was vaguely aware that he must have received one hell of a concussion along the way but was incapable of really processing what that meant.
Meanwhile in the non-dazed world of a certain captain chaos was rampant particularly among the twelfth squad as the gate to Hueco Mundo collapsed. The problem was they had not been the ones to turn it off and something bad was happening. It started as the glowing portal simply ceased to exist and retreated into the edges of the actual senkaimon gate, however soon after the gate itself began to emanate a red aura and then even further it began to crack like glass only these cracks to emanated the aura. By this point the shinigami had lost all control and a moment later the gate simply imploded, the pieces shattering and disappearing, the red energy however remained. The Black Tower had remained open this entire time, the only way to keep a constant lock with the senkaimon on to the position on the opposite side. That was backfiring now though as the red energy from the gate as well as from an unknown source, seeming to stem both from the base and the top of the tower rushed up the its length and began to form a swelling maelstrom of energy above much like the purple and green energies the tower had created in the first place but far less controlled. Those familiar with such things already realized what was happening and were putting as much distance between themselves and the tower as possible, even those that didn't knew something was wrong and were backing up. Within the Black Tower everyone began abandoning their posts, unfortunately the main gate could not power up and evacuate everyone at once due to the negative energies running through it, regardless many would escape through back doors that had obviously been placed as emergency precautions, to Yun's later infinite abject horror Kama-mina would not be one of them. From high above in the cyclone of power a voice descended though only Yun would have recognized it as Deaths and obviously he was to far gone to do much more than stare skyward with a dizzied expression.
“And thus the end, do not return here shinigami, lest you seek your ends.”
And with that the red force came downward like a hammer, striking the top of the tower and instantly vaporizing it into a thousand pieces before running down the rest like a lightning bolt. The core shattered in the blink of an eye and the outer walls exploded outward, showering any shinigami who had not gotten far enough away with debris, including Yun. The broken and battered captain stood still in the middle of the storm watching his greatest achievement be blown apart with little if any effort. Massive chunks of debris went flying in every direction, there was a loud clanking sound and one of the giant gears that had brought the tower up in the first place came bouncing out of the explosion, barely missing the captain as it passed and crushing countless fellow shinigami behind him. Even places far from the initial strike weren't safe as smaller glass and iron shards rained down up to two miles away in an effect not all to dissimilar to a volcano.
The event took all of thirty seconds to finish and then the last of the tower that remained standing collapsed in unto itself and kicked up a massive rolling cloud of ash that encompassed everyone, and yet for all its brevity it left the whole of Soul Society in chaos. Screams immediately ensued upon the cease of the collapse, in all reality they had been there from the start but the roar of the explosion and following collapse had drowned them out. Though the dust was still high and wide one could already tell the devastation that lay about them, countless shinigami lay in the open clearly quite dead while others were borderline, bleeding out while they futilely called for aid that would never reach them in the rampant state of disarray. Still more were injured to varying degrees though most would recover with time. Among them all Yun stood as he had before, staring through the dust at the massive plume that ejected from where his tower had previously stretched out, weaving in and out of ones vision depending on the density of the swirling dust before them. He made a sort of scowl, walked forward a few steps as if he needed to go see for himself and then fell face forward with a hard slam into the ground before him.
“I must...go...” he muttered before blacking out.
In the operation to save the three academy students, later known as the Second War of Las Noches, a great price was payed. Many claimed that the objective was completed and many forces made it back, thus it was a victory of sorts, but these were unrealistic people. For honor and the fate of three students who might not even prove to return anything in the future the Gotei 13 had lost near a quarter of its fighting force. Half of the most skilled warriors of Soul Society, such as the Deaths Hand of 10th Division were either killed or trapped in the realm of Hueco Mundo, including but not limited to the Captains Manato Nekomi, Kisho Kyuettara and Hitotsu. Still more were injured in the final collapse, nearly a quarter of the defending forces were killed in that event, nearly another quarter were badly injured and took over a month to recover and of the remaining half very few escaped untouched. Worst of all perhaps many individuals who had been injured in Hueco Mundo and had been receiving aid that might have saved their lives were lost during the collapse of the Black Tower just adding to the casualties, the aforementioned Manato Nekomi was one such individual.
A victory indeed.

"Hold still, Captain Takahashi sir!" The 4th Division healer's voice was almost pleading with him, as though she was getting almost desperate for a semi-cooperative patient. Yamato's sword, which was laid on a nearby table, glowed slightly as he heard Vulcanus's voice in his head.
"She's right, kid. You might want to relax."
"How the hell am I supposed to relax when that Arrancar filth maimed so many of our comrades?" He said this aloud, so that both Vulcanus and the healer could hear him He gritted his teeth as he felt his ribs mending.
"I don't know, sir, but think of it this way. There's no way you can get revenge for them in this condition. So please, just let me heal you."
He sighed and leaned back, finally giving up on moving right away. She was right, there was nothing he could do, but at the same time, he couldn't help but be angry. Not just because of all the fallen, but because that damn Espada had gotten away, Not only that, but Dementia...what the hell was that thing? The power had been so raw, so terrifying, so unrelenting. Clearly, Yamato was going to be a busy man if he was going to finish his business.
"I suppose the good news is that I almost killed that Espada. The bad news is that it was almost."
The healer's eyes widened. "You nearly killed an Espada, sir?"
Yamato nodded. "Well, I assume so, yes, considering his body vaporized in a last ditch effort to save itself." He smiled as the healer suddenly got a slight glint in her eyes.
"It must have been scary. I'm lucky your injuries are only as bad as this, then. How did you come out of it?"
Yamato laughed. "I hit him first. Hard."
"That makes it sound considerably easier than it was, you know."
'Oh come on, I'm just agrandizing a bit. It's a morale thing.
"Tread carefully in the realm of falsehoods."
'Yeah yeah, whatever...' Yamato sighed again as he felt the most superficial of the injuries begin to heal themselves. It was almost over. He tested the flow of his reiatsu, seeing if his control was back to normal. Yes, so it was. Good thing. No permanent injuries. Talk about lucky. What were the chances?
"Well, I think that's everything, sir. Try standing."
Yamato stood, and there was no abnormal weakness. He nodded, giving the healer an appreciative smile as he put clothes back on the upper half of his body. "That's everything. Right as rain. Thanks very much. You worked very hard. I'll be sure to have your Captain commend you."
Her cheeks flushed in pleased embarrassment as she smiled. "Just doing my job, sir." She gave a slight little bow, and Yamato shook his head, bowing deeper to her as he placed his Captain's cloak on, and placed Vulcanus in its sheath and then back on his back in its usual place of honor.
Yamato walked away, out into the sunny weather, and sighed sadly. Usually he could enjoy weather such as this. Unfortunately, all he could see was the dark skies in the future, as the fighting was bound to escalate. It was time to prepare himself for the thing he hated more than any other:
True war.
KA-BLAAAAAM!
Yamato cursed and flashed away as quickly as possible, moving purely on instinct, The next thing that crossed his mind was abject horror, as he saw a massive piece of debris crash down on the healer that had been tending to him. In a panicked fury, Yamato slashed through the rock, stopping just before he got to her. Pushing the debris aside, Yamato placed a hand on her neck, vainly hoping she was still alive. There was no heartbeat.
Suddenly, Yamato felt rage begin to rise underneath the panic. They had done this. Them. The Hollow filth. A cowardly attack. How terribly unsurprising. Tenderly, Yamato reached down and closed the healer's eyes, while inwardly praying that they would attack again. For, when they did, he would murder each and every single one of them if that's what it took. Flashing frantically towards the Commander's office, destroying any falling debris he could to prevent further death. Granted, the entire event had been over within seconds, and all the pieces still falling were nothing more substantial than what may have been large hail, but it somehow felt better to destroy.
The commander would know what to do. Now was not the time for individual missions, individual battles. Now was the time for the Seireitei to come together, to grieve, and to protect all of their comrades. He was a Captain of the Gotei 13.
13. 13 swords all pointing to one objective. That was the true nature of their mission. 13 hearts, beating as one. 13 swords, slashing in unison.
As the rage boiled over further, Yamato suddenly felt a smile cross his face. Before long, it would be time to fight, to destroy. Before long....
...total war.
