Name: Ragnarok (Actual title to come at a later time) Genre: Fantasy with a taste of early steampunk. Length:Unknown at this point, I'm going to start it off small and if there is enough interest I will continue it. Rating: 4 to 6 depending on the players mostly. Synopsis: This is a RP based around the game Ragnarok Online, which itself is based around the manhwa(korean manga) Ragnarök. If you have played the game then that makes it easier for you to get in but it may also make you think more along how the game and things in it work, which is mostly not the case in this RP. For example, the skills in RO is simply there as guidelines of what their character can do, rather than how they work exactly. For those who havent played the game I suggest looking up some backstory or class information on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnarok_Online or irowiki.org/wiki/ClassesI would prefer if most chose to start off as first classes, because frankly I dont want everyone to be highly experienced adventurers, as such I will allow two Second class characters, the rest can be first class or recently changed to expanded class characters (a novice would be interesting though ) The RP will start of the in magical city of Geffen, I will allow players to be there for whatever reason but to start it off I will say that rumors of monsters emerging from the depths of the Geffen Tower have began to spread, however the city guards and mages have done their best to keep them at bay inside the tower and little true information is known. The Geffen Tower is a huge spire like structure in the middle of Geffen, with a kind of orb at the top. So if you want to join post it here, but I would also like to request a simple form of application to keep track of all the characters and their class, name and abilities. My Character. Name: Rei Gender: Male Age: 16 Class: Swordsman Personality: Rei is a bit weird, generarilly he seems to always be in a good mood, his eyes shining with excitement to what lies ahead. But sometimes, seemingly at random he seems to be hit by sudden shock, like if he saw a vision or something, usually ending by him grabbing his head and screaming something. He is a friendly young man who wouldent say no if someone asked him for help, but he is not overly naivé and can see through obvious lies. He easily befriends people, atleast on his end, and that side of him has lead him to serious trouble once. Due to his friendly personallity one would not expect much of him in terms of battle prowess, and they are probably right, although he has an incredible resistance to pain and injuries, being able to endure something others would fall over off. Description: Rei has the build of a average Swordsman. That is, prety tall and with a slim body, mostly looking like that of an athlete rather than a hardened warrior. His skin is a bit paler than that of the average caucasian, but by far not an unhealthy skintone, but it looks like if he hasnt been under the sun for some time. His hair is about two inches in length, standing up slightly and being a nearly golden blonde in color. His eyes are a dull grey color, almost completely opposite to his hair, and while they mostly look focused whenever he is talking to someone or listening intently, whenever he stops to think or not think at all they seem to become empty, lose focus and just look dead. Along his right wrist is a series of letters and numbers etched into his skin, that which it says "S-16-L2", in essence purely random numbers and letters. Along his back is a series of scars that look like the kind that will never heal, mostly because whatever caused them seem to have been etched nearly three inches into his flesh for more than a day, and then ripped off violently, but aside from these serious wounds he also has multiple scars across his legs, arms and chest, all seeming very carefully placed and if one looked at his left leg and then right they could see they were placed at the exact same locations. For clothes he wears the standard swordsman uniform, however there is some slight differences to it that would be hard to notice unless you looked closer, for one is a symbol that is of no language known in Rune Midgart etched on the back of it. Short history: Rei has lost most of his memories in an unknown facion, although he dimly remembers his childhood, his friends, his parents. But he cannot remember where it was, how it looked, other than that everyone was dirty and ragged. The rest of his life up until this point is a completely blank hole in his memories, even the most recent events in his life are strange and out of place, he remembers the sound of an airships spinning blades, the bellowing of the captain, and then he remembered the ground flying towards him at high speed, but then he hit a mat of green which turned out to be several trees standing really close, before he blacked out from the impact he could see the top of a massive white spire. Then a day later a few travelers found him lying under a few trees, they took him into the city and left him at a tavern where they knew an old woman who had knoweldge in healing herbs and the like, hoping he would recuperate. However they were amazed he was even breathing with such serious wounds. Equipment: Blade: A standard one handed longsword, double edged and with a sharp tip. The blade is about 75 centimeters in length, the hilt being about 15, making it a well rounded sword that can be wielded in both hands with ease. Arm and Leg guards: Reinforced steel guards covering his forearms and lower legs, making him able to block lighter blows should he be unable to with his sword. Leather undersuit: Under the Swordsman uniform Rei wears a light layer of leather in order to increase his protection slightly while not hindering movement in the least. Strange Glowing Crystal Shard: A mysterious crystal about the size of a grown up persons thumb, it glows with a mysterious inner light and Rei has no idea where he picked it up, but he feels strangely attached to it so he always carries it around with him in a small bag hidden under his clothes that hides its light. Abilities:Like most swordsmen Rei knows how to focus his mental energies into his sword arm in order to deliver a devastating blow that can cripple most defenses and even break badly crafted weapons straight off. (Bash) For unknown reasons Rei has an incredible resistance to pain and can shake off most injuries that would make many others scream in pain, but he is still not immune to damage and it is merely his resistance to it that keeps him going and also has quite potent natural healing, making him recover much faster than your average person. (Passive Endure and Increae HP Recovery) Rei, while not a master has a great affinity for handling swords and is quite capable with most forms of martial weapons. (Sword Mastery)

Name: Uriel Gabranth Gender: Male Age: 27 Class: Priest PersonalityThis is completely dependent on his relationship with the person whom is on the receiving end of his words and actions. He was once an incredibly friendly and helpful sort like many of the priest you find in Rune Midgard but age, experience and the trouble that have plagued his world have sucked the naivety and caring right out of him. This isn’t to say he can’t be friendly, just that he no longer has a vested interest in improving anyone’s life unless he cares for them on a personal level. To the outsider he is cold, blunt and doesn’t often stop to explain his actions or thoughts, he doesn’t really view other people as a help or a hindrance, sometimes you could say he looks right through them…as if they don’t exist at all. To those he is forced, for he would never join in willingly, to interact with he may eventually warm up. However this doesn’t result in an overwhelming change in personality, he is simply more open with his thoughts, may rely on the person more often and on the rare occasion may dead pan with some dry wit. For Uriel has not lost his humanity, he simply views the world in a realistic sense and knows he is not welcome in it. His religion is a place of great unrest and no doubt any current member of the clergy would view his way of thinking as downright heresy. He no longer believes in the exacting will of the church nor its members, he never prays though he is known to speak to the powers above in an off-hand and seemingly joking manner when alone. It is as if he believes in their power but no longer believes in the way it is enacted upon the world though he still makes use of it. His precise wording might be, “You have seen the truth in my actions and know they were for the right reason, I may not serve directly under your earthly center anymore but you still know I serve your purpose and can be of use.” Thus does he continue to wield his holy powers, even if they might not be so befitting of that first word anymore. Uriel possesses an exceedingly powerful will, his heart has been forged in fire and he knows how to endure any hardship that might be thrust upon him. He is battle hardened and doesn’t know fear as a normal person might and while not necessarily a brilliant tactician knows how to think in a fight. He no longer considers demons and the undead with the fiery passion of the church but still despises them for their actions and their role in his past; in particular he has become one of the most skilled demon hunters alive and knows their ways far more than most church members. He is not overly violent but does not shy from conflict and breaks the typical priest mold by often being on the front line. DescriptionWhile plenty good looking if you look past his outside “flaws” Uriel is cursed both by his history and an appearance that manifested from the stress of constantly fighting off the cursed air of his birth home. While completely pure having to fight several curses from his body left noticeable marks over time. His body is lean though plenty muscular and thus his face is sharp and heart shaped. He has a very light skin color made more so by shock white hair which is short and pulled back into a neat row of backwards spikes. His eyes are cat like and ever glow with an inner red luminescence with a single black demon like pupil in the center; to compliment the feline like appearance he has two “whisker” line tribal looking black lines on his right cheek. It was this appearance that certain elders within the church would prey on after the incident to help spread doubt about his actions since many already feared him. Uriels outfit is exactly like above with a matching pair or soldat pants and gold boots. He lacks the seals of Einbroch and shwartzwald that the soldier has. He also wears no hat or headgear. Short HistoryUriel was born in Niflheim, that’s right the Niflheim the cursed city of doom. His mother for whatever reason she had was on the run and made the terrible mistake of heading into the dark city of death, whatever had been following her never came but in return things got allot worse. There was no way to leave Niflheim once you were there, there was nobody to trust as the spirits could take on the forms of the living and other less subtle monstrosities walked the streets and fields. It wasn’t long after that the baby being carried in her womb before the event, Uriel, was born into the world and only through his existence did she continue to live on. Both of them were affected by the cursed air and this would give Uriel his unique appearance even though as far as his personality went he was no different than any other young child. Admitted he could not afford to be overly happy and care free, knowing full well the dangers that lurked outside. One unique thing happened though, forced to strive for himself he began to manifest spiritual power to fight the creatures that would occasionally gain the upper hand on him. Eventually Uriels mother was killed though, it was inevitable after all with death prowling every inch of the streets it had always been sheer luck they had stayed alive. Trapped in the cursed place his mother became one of the less malign spirits haunting the land and so in a funny sort of irony death wasn’t actually the end of their relationship and she continued to care for him. Uriel would remain in Niflheim until he was ten years of age, incapable of moving beyond its barriers and so in an odd sort of way to this day he considers it home. Then one day that all changed and the warriors of light came and took him away. They were envoys from the church, chasing a horrid demon who had slain many in the name of their gods. They were cornered by this demon who had recruited many of the weakling spirits that lived in Niflheim in preparation for their arrival. Happening to be in the area and having only seen a few other living people in his life he jumped into action and using the powers he had manifested, not knowing they were holy powers of the gods, a spot of light in this darkness he purged the demon and its entourage saving those from the church in the process. At first they were not sure what to make of him due to his appearance but through his actions and his still childish personality they realized he was just an unlucky soul who had been trapped there. They wished to take him away from the evil place where he would be safe and could do some good and after speaking with his mother in secret she agreed it would be best for him. So Uriel left with the group who could easily push through the dark shroud surrounding Niflheim due to their combined purity and he has never since seen his homeland. Like you might expect he was amazed by the world that lay outside and would eventually reach Prontera. He had instinctively made a connection with the gods and was by far the most promising candidate in ages though there were many misgivings due to his origins and appearance. Some believed he might be possessed; others that he might be a trickster demon messing with humans and even those who didn’t think such things were not that comfortable around him. Still with time he became a great priest and while some never lost those issues with him and few ever actually befriended him he was still more or less accepted. He was also respected to an extent due to his quick learning and strong powers and would move forward to become a high ranking priest in short order though he was still far from a leader he was expected to one day perhaps reach those ranks. He slew many demons and helped many villages purify themselves of the undead and unholy. Then one day something happened in a small town within the forest around the village of Payon. A small outlying border village complained about some sort of demon and undead infestation and asked for the help of the church. Uriel and several members of the order he had been given to command were sent to purify the village and kill them demon and its horde. Details are sketchy at best but what is known is that at that date Uriel was excommunicated from the order of the priests and that the town is no longer shown on any map. To top it off Uriel was not just released from the order and told to go away, he was labeled Excomunicae Nigrae and a death warrant was placed on his head. The church never listened to his side of the story and it seemed they often used whatever happened as an excuse to be rid of one they saw as someone who shouldn’t have been trusted in the first place. Despite saying that he was innocent several times when hunting teams caught up to him he has never allowed them to take him in, as if he knows that even if he thinks he did the right thing he also knows nobody else would accept that it was necessary. Eventually the church no longer had the resources or time to hunt for him though it might also have had something to do with a visit he received from an old friend, one of the men who had taken him from Niflheim in the first place, High Paladin Ezekial. He received a message while in a small towns church from an anonymous runner one day bearing the symbol of the church. It told him that so long as he caused no further trouble and never returned to Prontera, capital of Rune Midgard and house of the church he would not be hunted any longer. So Uriel has made his way around the world performing small tasks, acting as a personal exorcist and occasionally taking on larger jobs to make a living though never staying in one place to long. He trusts Ezekial and the message sent by the church and makes no real effort to hid his presence but he keeps his head down at the same time. Uriel has unfinished business with the world, the church and the unholy powers of evil but for all his personal strength has not taken the steps forward to setting matters straight…yet. EquipmentRagnhildrUpon his escape from the order the before mentioned High Paladin Ezekial found him. Ezekial took him aside and asked him what he had done and for the only time in his life Uriel recounted the entire event that had been hidden by the church. After hearing it all Ezekial gave Uriel a wrapped package, a sword and told him to live out his life somewhere else and keep doing the gods work. He then returned to the church and while Uriels actions were never forgiven the hunting squads were soon called back. Left in his possession was a pure steel short sword not all that different from a regular adventurer’s sword except that its steel sheen never dulls nor its black hilt, it has several ancient runes engraved along the blade that few would know the meaning of and it is an amazingly potent weapon against demons and the undead. Uriel is all to aware that had Ezekial not been satisfied with his answer this was likely the blade intended to take his life. Nam en het ZuiverenEquipment for exorcising demons from people or locations. It consist of Nam a pentagram seal with an inlaid glass rose patter with a hole in the very center and het Zuiveren, a plain brass cross which bottom extends a long ways into a needle fine point that can fit through the hole in Nam. On top of the cross is a rosary of brass beads. Both pieces have an immensely powerful holy barrier around them and simply touching weak undead with the implements would purge them, however Uriel would never waste their holy powers on something so small. The one problem is that when it comes to exorcising a demon from a human Nam en het Zuiveren is much more damaging to the host than typical rosaries but on the flip side is much faster and powerful. Codex DuisternisSome priest carry bibles, others rely on books of elemental power and then there is Uriel. He doesn’t tell anyone where he found the Codex but it is dangerous that is for certain. It is a small little book looking more like a journal, its edges have long ruffled and its face is aged and worn with no sign as to what it is. Uriel rarely employs it but apparently there are many inscriptions within that help power the heavier prayers for some of the truly despicable demons out there. However there’s something ever so off about the book, as if its there and not there at the same time, something dark, almost as if in destroying the darkness he utilizes its power at the same time. Magical StonesAll the forms of stone that can be found in the world are at some point utilized by Uriel. Like any class who relies on magic these stones can help power the larger spells in a priest repertoire with greater efficiency though he can cast most common spells without their help. Healing ImplementsUriels healing magic can only be used to cure so much. He may be able to handle small to medium wounds in the heat of battle but even so such healing is not an exact science and actual physical healing items are often necessary after the fighting is over, especially for heavy wounds. He knows how to put together many different medicines from wild items to man made objects and has a wide line of available cures. He is good at making pots which dull pain when consumed, potions that enhance skills for a time but his best skills are employed in making salves. These salves are often used for long term healing and more serious wounds but there are also varieties that can be applied to larger wounds in the middle of a fight to clot blood loss and lessen pain so the other person can remain in the fight until they can receive proper heavy healing procedures. Uriel also has items for muscular and spiritual healing. AbilitiesPhysical BattleUriel was always a battle priest, in shape and as ready to thwart the forces of evil with a face full of mace as he was to smite them with holy power. His time away from the church has only heightened these skills as he is forced to rely on himself and with his commitment to not causing physical death broken he now employs more effective weapons, the main one being his blade. Uriel is an excellent swordsman and while it is likely the other more physical fighters such as a knight in our own group would be better he is still far superior to most NPC’s (such as soldiers) we will meet. Holy BattleA demon and undead hunter through and through Uriel is one of the most impressive anti-evil specimens around. He is a near unstoppable juggernaut of holy power when it comes to weaker undead and is quite capable of holding a great tide of them back all alone. His skills are so impressive that even now he could face many of the larger and more powerful demons single handedly. He is not at the level of a master of the church yet but compared to the common priest and even crusaders that populate the world he is a holy monster. He will undoubtedly be of extreme use should the party run into a demon which the others cannot even touch due to its unholy properties. HealingA good healer Uriel is quite capable of healing small and medium wounds on the fly though the latter often requires medicinal application after the fight is over. With heavy wounds he is capable of removing the pain but can not heal them immediately and would need time, certainly not something he could do during a fight. However Uriels real skills as a healer aren’t in his magical abilities but rather his physical medicinal capabilities. He is a master of mixing such items (as can be read above) and many of his medicines can make up for his magical shortcomings in this area. BuffingHe is capable of spreading his own holy powers to the weapons of surrounding people making them much more effective against undead and unholy creatures though they must remain in his field of effect. As far as increasing the speed of a members body or lessening tension he is decently skilled, however again for these sorts of effects he is better at producing them through medicinal means.

Steven, thats fine if its what you want, but remember that this isnt THE game, so you dont have to base your character 100% of the thief class.

Name: Elander Collins , but goes by Lander Gender: Female Age: 19 Class: Thief Personality: Charming and carefree, Elander Collins gives the appearance of a young woman. From walking about leisurely to plundering from an unsuspecting "victim" to theft. Her beauty attracts many men, and even some women, but it is all for naught, for she has learned to live on her own and that others are meerly pawns, goods for the taking. However, it does not mean she is heartless, but she does have a layer of ice that could use some melting. Description: Height: 5'5" Weight: 107 lbs Short history: Born in Morrac, the child of two mere peddlers. Elander Collins was different than her parents. While they had stock black hair and pale white skin, she was born with natural blonde hair and emerald eyes. Her parents tried their best to take care of her, but they had a hard enough time on their own. Many of the items they managed to find were quickly taken away again, or used up. However, they still did their best to keep her happy. When Elander turned 7, marking 7 years of semi-misery and hard living, her mother perished, unable to live on in the cruel manor that they did. Seeing his wife die and fearing for himself in an act of selfishness, her dad left her alone, leaving for a better life by slicing open his own liver with alchohol. Suddenly thrust into the reality that was the world by herself, Lander's human instincts seemed to instruct her to find a way to survive. She found the easy way of pilfering from the bazaars and street vendors, using the crowds and shadows the make a clean getaway. However, even this living had it's downsides. Being alone wasn't all it was cut out to be. Elander Collins wasn't always making clean getaways either, and living in the rooftop attic of an abandoned building isn't considered "high class living". Hoping for a better living, at least to get away from the desert hell called her home, Elander set out for a new place. As life would have it, it just so happened to be Geffen... Equipment: Al Revs Short, sharp, curved and stolen, the Al Revs is meant to be used as an armblade. The actual blade is only 2 feet long, while the hilt that wraps around the arm is a foot long itself. The brace begins at the wrist and spreads to the elbow. [A loose reference in case my descriptive skills suck: ] Abilities: StealthExpirience has made this person warry of the sounds they make, the shadows they cast. The user has knowledge that they can make sounds, and implements learned skills from practice to move in silence. When moving in their stealthy fashion, only those who have a knack for noticing the unnoticable. Uncanny BattleUsing a mixture of unfair rules, quick maneuvers and tricky tactics, Lander is not above cheating to win. Such things like distractions, traps and taunting have kept her alive in combat. Tricking the foes into harming one another is such a clever move known, and letting the enemy grow enraged from teasing only to fall into range of the Al Revs is another such objective.

Great characters so far, although Steven its strange how your character wouldent have been recruited by the Thieves guild if she lived in Morroc, but oh well.
Made my character and edited him into the first post.

Name: Elemia Viscus Gender: Female Age: 23 Class: Assassin Personality: Elemia is a pretty girl with an unshared past. Only a select few in the Assassin's guild know her for who she really is. To most she is another average lone wolf with a tragic past. Over the few years she's been with the guild, she somehow developed a taste for crafting her own weapons and clothes. She's become an accomplished blacksmith and tanner, specializing in weapon crafting for her blacksmithing, and light armor for her tanning. Elemia enjoys reading as well, she's collected a few different scrolls over her 23 years of existance ranging anywhere from tragic tales, to ones about a supposed future. From poems, to lyrics, she's got any kind of writing imagineable. What truly would be able to make Elemia a friend though, is the proof that you would be loyal. That's all she requires, but her standards for that loyalty are so high that she has only one or two real friends in the Assassins guild. Though that might also be because not many people will put up with her short fuse. She'll explode at the smallest of insults, in her own way of course. By exploding I mean she'll make a sharp retort and declare them enemies untill proven otherwise. She's sarcastic and can be a sadistic bitch at times. But deep down she's got a kind heart, the trouble is diving deep enough to find it. Description: Since I don't feel like writing up a descripting...I have this lovely picture instead: (Please note that she does NOT where a panda hat...or any hat at all.) Short history: Elemia grew up in Morroc, abandoned at birth she was taken in by a thief named Malcolm who felt pity for the infant. He raised her as he was raised; on the streets, stealing for a living to support themselves. Eventually a member of the Assassin's guild contacted the man who had served as Elemia's father. He was invited to join their ranks, and underwent several trials before being accepted. His one condition was that his adopted daughter live with him within the pyramid that served as the Assassin's Headquarters. Elemia was 13 at the time, and had become an accomplished lock pick, and pick pocket under the guidance of her guardian. Around half a decade passed and she underwent the trials herself to become one of the Assassin's like her foster father. She was one of the most exceptional Thieve's any of the council had seen. Elemia was accepted immediately and continued to live with her foster father who had become just as much a friend as her guardian. She now has a seperate room from her Malcolm and calls him by his name, but she still looks to him for advice when she becomes lost. Equipment: Varus Laedo: A pair of Katar's given to her by Malcolm when she was accepted into the Assassin's guild though he wouldn't reveal where he got them. They have a circular indent in the top in which gems can be socketed into to give them different qualities. At this time Elemia only has one pair of gems. *Passionate Rubies: These gems allows them to send out sparks on contact, with whatever she strikes potentionally setting whatever it is on fire. Depending on what it is of course. A picture of the katar's are below. Velox and Pondera: The two daggers that she carries with her at all times. Malcolm said he found them with her. Venon: A simple throwing knife can be edged with one of three venoms. A paralyzing venom, a sleeping venom, or a deadly venom. Cloak of Vanishing: An enchanted cloak that allows her to reflect light to blend into her surroundings when completely covered by the cloth. She must be completely covered for it to work. Works best against a wall or other flat surface. Catalysts: Elemia carries several vials of prepared poison powder, and paste in which she can use for a few different abilities. AbilitiesStealth Mastery: As to be expected of an Assassin, Elemia is highly adept at concealing her movements, and sticking to the shadows. Blending in with them with ease. Swift Agility: Elemia is very athletic, and can dart and jump around like a cat. Sonic Blow: By focusing the energy in her shoulders and arms, Elemia is able to move her arms much faster and stronger for a limited amount of time. Giving her the ability to deliver a swift barrage of almost a dozen strikes with her Varus Laedo. Envenom: When using her daggers, Elemia can smear some of the poison paste onto them. Unfortunately due to the nature of the blades, the poison is spread very thin, and isn't very potent. Fortunately if she in fact wounds the target, they'll act as if under the effects of a crippling poison. Slowing there movements, reaction times, etc. Venom Dust: Elemia can use the Venom Powder to spread in a given area, causing the victum's inside to do one of the three various effects that her poison's do. IE Paralasys, Slow-Death, or Sleep.

Looks good FC, but I think you could fit in a few more skills/abilities (Even though it might not make 100% sense Sonic Blow is kind of a signature move for assassins, it could simply be seen as similiar to the swordsmans bash, a form of mental focus to increase strength/speed in a short time in order to do the move, but if you have other ideas you can post them and I will decide from that)

I will put this quite plainly... NO.
Quite frankly, you do not possess the writing skill to be one of the groups leaders and furthermore I do not want someone who do not have any experience with RO in general to play one of the second classes. You may make a mage or such if you wish, but second classes such as wizard are restricted to those with experience.
