Ah yes, that, Tsuno said calmly within his head. But him going in for the early assassination attempt and spending an entire fight constantly vanishing and reappearing all over the place while shooting a cannon from a safe range was something completely than attempting to run your opponent through with a blade up close and personally. He couldn't tell where she was with her voice echoing all throughout the complex, and that came as a problem when she suddenly decided to launch her offensive. The one of the attacks from the first volley hit his back, and when he turned, he managed to catch a glimpse of the second oncoming attacks that he managed to dodge by instinctively dropping nearly flat to the wet concrete floor and springing back up in an instant. When she stopped hiding, he pounced at her location, ready to slice her throat open with his shikai, but it felt like time stood still for a dead second as her reiatsu spiked just as her ultimate attack was about to fire. In this confined location, it would be impossible to avoid if he was to continue charging at her, so all he could do was get away as fast as possible. Punching at the air, a burst of flames masked his flash step back a couple meters, which he continued to use several times in short jumps to make his way outside and above ground.
The massive green cero obliterated the foundation of the building, causing it to come crashing to the ground and the screams of hundreds of terrified civilians filled the air. Dozens more silenced in an instant. The vice-captain of Squad Two watched on in horror as it all unfolded before his eyes, unable to prevent the calamity. A deep cutting pain exploded in his chest as he felt hopeless to protect the innocent lives so recklessly slaughtered, matched with a deep burning fire inside him that erupted into an inferno of passionate hatred for Gramica. He would have her heart ripped out and incinerated alive, provided that she actually had a heart at all being a hollow. Thats all she was, an evil hollow with no regard for human life whatsoever who say everyone as a toy for her to amuse herself with, break and throw away, and move onto the next lives to shatter. Her very existence would not not be permitted if Tsuno was to have anything to say about it.
The cloud of concrete dust flew high into the night sky, so high that Tsuno was well concealed by the wreckage despite being sitting in the air. His eyes caught a glimpse of Gramica, and Tsuno decided to try and finish her off as fast as was humanly possible for him, which was in most cases very fast. His reiatsu exploded in a fiery wave of determination, and he began spontaneously speeding all around the arrancar with his shunpo until he was directly in front of her, maybe ten feet apart, in easy range for him to hit her with direct melee attacks. His fiery reiatsu burned the air itself around him, and Tsuno threw a clenched fist at Gramica, hoping to hit her with such force that she'd be left stunned and open for the blade in his other hand to disembowel her, provided that hollows had bowels to... to disem(?)
He waited for a second to stare the arrancar in the eyes an unspoken final warning to give up, Tsuno was not in the mood to drag out this fight any longer as it was now clear that lives were at serious risk as long as the battle continued. Fortunately, Tsuno did still have one final kido spell he could unleash on the enemy, but he would have to be 100% certain he could hit her before unleashing his ultimate destructive ability.

‘She saw everyone as a toy for her to amuse herself with, break and throw away, and move onto the next lives to shatter.’ This was not an inaccurate description of the woman. Slightly more inhumane than she would of liked, but not inaccurate. This had originally been a game for her amusement. She was constantly on the search for a suitable Hollow to aide her in her quest for power. The lives her deceased pet took were simply a means to an end. The hundreds that died in the collapsing of the building were nothing more than an unfortunate by-product. Her goal was to take the life of the man that opposed her. However, he not only survived the ordeal but with absolutely no physical damage done to him whatsoever. Gramica was one of the more competent Numeros in Hueco Mundo. Her strongest attack, used in the most confined space she could find was evaded? How the fuck? It was blasphemy. A simple Vice-Captain who lacked his final release should have easily succumbed to extreme damage. Not only had there been no intense damage… there was no damage to speak of entirely. It was absolutely the most vexing outcome possible.
Gramica lay on the floor, motionless. Her body was still worn out from both the energy put into her useless attack and from the incredible strain she put on her self to escape the fall of the building. Her opponent was hidden by the dust and smoke of the former resident building now turned pile of rubble. The man’s reiatsu erupted in what seemed to be either anger or determination. As the man began speeding all around her, the woman rose up. Her back was against the giant object and her Zanpakuto was raised. Yes, she held her Zanpakuto. The strain from escaping the wreckage was too grand. Even for her level of speed and skills. She had reverted back to her original form. Except, her clothing was tattered. The only sleeve on her trench coat was torn apart and shredded away. Her clothing was littered with rips and tears. Both her arms were bare and her tattoos were in full view. Gramica readied herself for her opponent’s next attack.
The Arrancar parried each of the man’s melee attacks. Though it was clear the battle had worn her out, she still managed to keep up with his speedy blows. The heat of his reiatsu was easily felt as her own seemed absent. Then, as his fist was balled up and sent towards the woman’s head, a large black portal of torrential energy appeared on the giant block of concrete behind her. The man’s bone crunching punch locked in with her jaw and sent her flying through her own portal which immediately closed in after her.
Soaring into the white plains of Hueco Mundo Gramica was greeted by the dull night sky and the eternal white desert. She landed, skidding several feet before coming to a complete stop. This of course created track marks in the sand. The woman lay there, flat on her back. Her jaw was throbbing in pain as the rest of her body was merely exhausted. Her choice to flee the battle came from dislike towards the direction the fight took. She had set up the surroundings, she had unleashed her end all Cero of doom, and she brought an entire world crashing down upon her and her opponent… and gained absolutely no results. She’d have to make it a point to kill that man somewhere in the distant future, but as for now she was content laying sprawled out on the sands of Hueco Mundo, looking up at the night sky.
“Damn… what a bastard…”
Showing her extreme discontent, the woman closed her eyes and drifted off into some well deserved rest.

Tsuno wanted this arrancar dead. Plain and simple. The heat of the energy slowing burning around Tsuno as he gave a final staredown was evidence enough of that, and the determination to reduce her body from its humanoid form into a pile of charred ashes was visible in the force he put into his fist for a single punch. The fact that she did return to the form of a human instead of a white-armored monkey convinced Tsuno she was past her limit, unable to fight at the level she had been now that she had used that massive cero attack. Truth of the matter was that he too was at his limit, but he didn't have such telltale signs to identify this. After receiving countless shots from her cannon throughout the battle, as well as nearly being fried by more than one cero since engaging Gramica and her pet menos, Tsuno's body was pretty badly beat up, more than he would let on. That was just how he always was, Tsuno was able to ignore pain and injury better than others, out of sheer boldness to accomplish his mission no matter what, it would always be after the fighting that the sum total of his injuries would actually do their toll on him psychologically.
Tsuno threw his punch with everything he had, hopefully he'd break her skull in and leave her in a position for him to slice her open and fry her innards with his fire attacks, but that wouldn't be a problem. Tsuno's fist contacted with Gramica's skull and send her flying backwards. The moment impact was made, Tsuno was able to hear a cracking noise, one that would be associated with the breaking of bones. While it would be optimistic to guess it was Gramica's head, it was in fact several bones in the Vice-captain's hand fracturing on impact. It sure as hell hurt a lot, and Tsuno couldn't help but cringe and let out a loud groan of pain shooting throughout his entire left arm.
"Ah, son of a... damn!"
It was lucky that she used that opportunity to escape, because Tsuno would not have had much of a chance at continuing fighting with a broken arm. It must have been her hierro, the thick armored skin that arrancar were famous for, the same armor that was able to effortlessly deflect his blade barehanded at the beginning of the battle. When the black hole behind Gramica closed, Tsuno stood still in the air, and sighed as her presence had completely vanished. Not like when she would hide with her resureccion, this was totally no longer anywhere in this realm, having retreated back to Hueco Mundo where he could not continue his hunt. His guard lowered, and his reiatsu faded away to normal, and the chain on Lotomasa began to retract until the two sickles were end-to-end, transforming back into a short sword that was its sealed form. As Tsuno's battle-driven adrenaline faded, the pain of all of his injuries collided with him instantly, and he began to slowly lose consciousness as he started to drift towards the ground.
...I failed, thought the wounded Vice-captain as he landed on the ground, face up and in pain. Killed all those people and I let her get away.
You didn't get killed yourself, said the deep growl that was the spirit of Lotomasa, Tsuno's zanpakuto. You did well enough.
With that, Tsuno's temper began to raise in frustration with the slothful nature of his own zanpakuto, but he knew the lazy dog was right. No point arguing a valid point just because you don't like it. He was sprawled out on the hard pavement, looking up at the bright night sky, horribly polluted with the light of the city. Deep down, this really was more of a victory for Gramica than himself. While neither of the two combatants died, he was unable to prevent her from wreaking destruction and death, and chances are she was laying down in the white sand of Hueco Mundo which was probably more comfortable than this concrete rooftop.
I hate you. You know that, right? Tsuno groaned as he slowly arched his back, trying not to put pressure on his broken arm, and sliding the blade back into its sheath. He dropped back down, his body limp and tired and in pain as he then reached his right hand up to his glasses, and activating the hidden communication device inside.
"This is Vice-captain Azuka," he groaned into the hidden microphone. "The arrancar has retreated, the threat has been neutralized. Requesting assistance, injuries are significant. Over."
Tsuno groaned in pain as he struggled to his feet, lots of burns covering his body and he was starting to get lightheaded from blood loss.
[Affirmative, Commander Azuka-Sama, sending a relief team to accompany you back to Soul Society.]
Replied the hissy sound of the operator on the other end of the transmission. The communication was then filled with static before cutting out entirely. Tsuno turned towards the wreckage of the demolished building and witnessed emergency vehicles and relief workers trying desperately to save as many survivors as they could from the destruction of Gramica's games. Tsuno was sickened to the core that that hollow would so carelessly discard so many innocent lives just to try and get him, it was almost unfortunate how lucky he had been to escape the building as he did without getting killed himself. This would haunt him or a while until he'd have the chance to avenge the fallen here today and end Gramica's wretched life with his own hands. Or maybe his bankai instead seeing as he didn't fancy another broken hand, once he'd get back to Soul Society, he'd devote his entire time training his skills and mastering his zanpakuto until he could perform bankai against his enemies. That way, their rematch would be definitely involve himself standing over her ashes in glorious victory.
He waited for about a minute, and then the light of a senkaimon gate opening up lit his back, and out emerged four men clad in similar black attire to himself, these were members of the Onmitsukido's second division, the Patrol Corps.
"Azuka-sama! Are you alright?" Called one of the four men as they rushed to thier superior's side, helping him stand while trying not to disturb his injuries.
"Yeah, but I'm a terrible liar. I need to rest. One of you go to Squad Four to ask Captain Isami to have my regular bed prepared once we arrive, please."
"Yes, sir!"
The five shinigami carefully crossed into the senkaimon and returned to Seireitei with the guidance of a Hell Butterfly, closing the small doorway behind them. He would be accompanied to the hospital of Squad Four, where his injuries would be treated carefully and effectively. He expected he'd be out of commission for about a week or two afterwards, that would depend on just how serious his injuries really were. Lots of burns, broken bones, cuts, Tsuno was in a total mess. After his recovery he'd have to resume his training to become as powerful as his own captain used to be, no, preferably stronger than the former captain. He'd surpass the late captain and he'd surpass Gramica, that's all there was to it. Until then, all he could do was close his eyes and try not to exert himself too much, and hopefully get some much needed rest.
