Shinigami
Name: Suzuki Tôrokurô Tsuneyuki aka Onime no Suzuki (Suzuki of the Demon Eyes)
Gender: Male
Age: 400
Division: Yondaime
Rank: Fukutaicho
Physical Description:
Suzuki is a slender tall man, standing at 5'10" and weighing 140 lbs. As a whole, Suzuki could be described, off duty at least, as a pretty boy, unconcerned with the world. As a shinigami, he appears to be quite elegant, yet at the same time, he appears to be quite careful of every aspect of his own self. For this reason he does not wear the typical garb of a shinigami. Instead he wears a black armor, that he crafted himself once he obtained the necessary materials. It is a full body armor, with a black cape. Underneath this armor he wears a red shirt and red jeans, both made out of silk that he gathered and made himself. In actuality, he didn't have to as almost no part of his body doesn't have his armor on it. To complete his outfit, he wears two black earrings, one on each side. As a shinigami, his hair is usually spiked up, as opposed to the neatness of his gigai's hair. Another difference, is that as a shinigami his eyes are said to be like a demons. That is, they are blood red, and the pupil is slit like a snakes or a dragon.
Suzuki is a man that gives everything he does his all. For this reason, his Gigai is almost unrecognizable from his Shinigami self. When he's in his gigai, his hair, usually spiked, is in fact gelled and neat. His eyes, usually fearsome, are a mellow aqua color. Obviously, he doesn't wear his armor in his gigai, instead he wears the uniform of his school. (No this isn't Karakura's school. The school he goes to is in Inaba, the same place that Persona 4 takes place in. However, he will soon transfer to Karakura). That is, he wears a black jacket over a white t-shirt along with black pants.

Personality: Much like his appearance, his personality changes depending on if he's in a gigai or not. Let's start with his Gigai form.
When he is in his Gigai, he appears to be absent minded, and generally disinterested in most things that go on around him. Outside of his select group of friends, if someone wants to have a conversation with him, they must initiate it, as he has no desire to do so. He appears to have an immense interest in books, as he is almost always seen with a book to read. He is quite lazy, often times only starting on work the morning that it is due. He also appears to be very smart. In fact, he often completes assignments in thirty minutes, while other students take all night to do so. In truth, this is simply because of the fact that he has done all this work before. You can always tell when he's in thought, as his eyes will drift up to the ceiling.
When in a conversation with someone that isn't in his circle of friends, he will often respond only with one or two word answers. This has the effect of pissing off whoever tries to talk to him sometimes. If you manage to start and continue a conversation with him, he will often times switch topics without warning. In addition, he will rarely look anyone in the eye while he speaks.
Another quirk of his, is that he has horrendous memory in his Gigai form. As he will tell you himself, in his Gigai he cannot remember much. In fact, he has trouble remembering events that happened even a day before. He will forget all but the most important events. In his words, the monotony of life makes it hard for him to remember things.
In Shinigami form, however, he is quite different.. He is focused on whatever he happens to be doing at the time, usually fighting a hollow or healing an ally. Outside of that, he seems to be quite talkative, and, although he retains his policy of not speaking unless spoken to, he will no longer ever use a one word answer. Outside of a battle, he is usually rather kind, and will sometimes go out of his way to help others. He tends to be a militant pacifist, if at all possible. He detests fighting just for fightings sake, though he is more than capable. He simply respects life. In addition, he will never ever do anything half-assed, and he is never lazy. Whenever he sets his mind to something, such as training for Bankai, he will devote all his time to this one single thing.
In battle however, he is ruthless and calculating. If the opponent is capable of thought, Suzuki will taunt the opponent into a rage to exploit weaknesses that they will undoubtedly leave. Despite being in the healing division, he is more than capable of combat, hence, he is more of a field medic than anything. Finally, on one day of the year, March 23rd, he gets melancholic, and falls into a deep depression lasting the entirety of the day. You'll see why in the history.
In either case, however, he's very independent, only taking orders from his captain or the sotaicho. He is very self-sufficient. He cooks his own meals, sews his own clothes, and rarely spends any money. He is the only person in his family, besides his mother and his adopted daughter, that isn't an alcoholic, though he'll take a drink here and there. He also doesn't waste any energy whatsoever with his movements.
He absolutely hates his name, despite using it, for a reason I'll state in the history if I can fit it in. Another little tidbit about him, is that he has a healthy respect for women, in other words, he's a bit of a pervert. However, he never shows it, instead being polite and respectful. He loves bowling, and is extremely good at it--his average is 235.
Like all people, he has his flaws. His main weakness is one simple fact: his pride. He will never back down from a confrontation, and is very very stubborn. Yes, indeed, trying to argue with him is like trying to argue with a rock, his stance won't change a bit at all. The main problem with this is that it severely limits interaction with others, thus denying him valuable alliances unless one can get over his stubbornness. He knows this and tries to curb it, yet it never works out.
Also, while it is usually hard to get him riled up, so much as mention his family--especially his adopted daughter--in a negative way, and he loses control almost immediately. Also, he rather enjoys battle, much to his horror, and has a tendency to lose himself in a rage, especially if he gets hit.
History:
Additional Info: As a general rule, Suzuki prefers to keep a distance from an opponent, and attack using kido to keep his opponents at a distance. Therefore, by far his strongest trait is his Kido spells. He has also trained his speed and flexibility in the event that he has to fight up close. This is his second focus in his training. In life, speed and flexibility were also his focuses. Thus, he is slightly above average in these two traits. In addition, despite not usually going to the front lines, he keeps his skills with his Zanpakuto--in both Sealed and Shikai forms--in shape every day, as he does not wish to fall out of practice. In addition, he works out regularly and practices with his hand to hand skills for the same reason. Thus, he is average in these skills. As his entire fighting style leans towards not getting hit/eliminating them before they get close, his defense is lower than average. Another thing that is against him--though this can be considered an advantage...maybe--is his complete lack of a style or art when fighting with his fists.
Despite all that, he prefers to simply sit back on the sidelines and heal, simply because the emotional wound that the death of his daughter inflicted on him. Since he lost himself in rage, he prefers to simply sit back when he can't lose control of himself. That is why he is in the fourth squad instead of another squad, like the eleventh.
General
Name: Ten'i Shouten ( Natural Focus)
Spirit Description: Ten'i Shouten is...a tree, in Suzuki's 'mindscape' so to speak. However, the tree itself is no ordinary tree. It looks almost ethereal in appearance, yet it still gives off a chilly aura. In fact, to Suzuki( the only one who can really feel it) the aura gives off the very feel of death, as if it only took one move to kill him. The bark of the tree is pitch black, a stark contrast to the leaves. The leaves are silver in color, and seem almost translucent when looked at. However, as it's a tree, it can't talk to him, so the spirit manifests itself in three other ways. Suzuki refers to the tree as 'The Pillar' as it is the only thing in his expansive mindscape that is static. He also calls it this, because the tree is seemingly keeping the sky in the air, similar to the Greek titan Atlas. The tree is the true form of Ten'i Shouten
The second part of Ten'i Shouten (referring to the tree as the first part), is what would sterotypically be called a phoenix, albeit a very unusual phoenix. The phoenix, instead of being gold and red, is instead a brilliant blue and black combination. The flames, instead of being red or orange, are a chilly blue. This is Suzuki refers to as 'The Guide'. This is because this is the only part of the four that can transport Suzuki, 'The Wisdom', and 'The Prophet' across his mindscape instantly, an ability, not even Suzuki himself possesses.
The third part of Ten'i Shouten, is what appears to be a middle aged man. His skin is black, along with the irises of his eyes, however his hair is of a vibrant silver. This is the only part that talks. This part is also an amalgation of all the knowledge that Suzuki has gained both in life and in death, and it seems to know a good deal more as well. In addition it is a good thinker. It is for this reason, that Suzuki calls this part 'The Wisdom'. When Suzuki is stuck, he often turns to Wisdom to help him. This is also the only part that truly shows it's personality. As the Wisdom is the only part that talks, it is only through him that Suzuki can get any idea of the personality of his Zanpaktou at all. Usually, Wisdom is quite simply a jerk. His personality is akin to Snape if you've ever read Harry Potter mixed with Gilgamesh from Fate/stay Night. He is snarky, sarcastic, highly full of himself, and enjoys taunting the hell out of Suzuki and causing him no end of frustration. However, this is not a constant. Wisdom is, occasionally, calm and quiet. Usually, Suzuki takes this as a sign that something is wrong, or he is about to be in mortal danger. This has( or actually will save) his life on a few rare occasions. Wisdom will, grudgingly, give advice to Suzuki whenever he asks, but it is usually in the form of a riddle. If Wisdom gives a clear and concise answer without any insults or riddles involved, Suzuki KNOW's there's trouble ahead. In fact, the only two times that this has happened, he has come near death. The first time was when he gained Shikai, the second, an incident he hates to talk about. The death of his adopted 'daughter'. For an actual picture of him, think this guy: fc03.deviantart.com/fs42/f/2009/106/c/c/Ezio_Assassin__s_Creed_2_by_LittleAssassin.jpg with darker skin. His hair is silver, but as he always has his hood up, it isn't really visible. Same with his black eyes.
The final part is perhaps the oddest. It is another person, except this one stands silent, resolute. His guise seems to always be smiling, as though he wants to talk. Frankly, Suzuki considers him to quite creepy looking. He appears to be a fortune teller, if the table and tarot cards in front of him at all times are any indication. It is for this reason Suzuki calls this part 'The Prophet'. The prophet looks like this: i656.photobucket.com/albums/uu287/Personanet/Persona%204%20School/Velvet%20Hallway/personaigor_2.jpg . Suzuki doesn't know anything about the Prophet, simply because the Prophet has never spoken, and the one time he has, Suzuki himself couldn't hear it, though Wisdom did. Here's what he doesn't know about the Prophet: The Prophet is the very reason why Wisdom always seems to be serious when something is coming close, or some catastrophe happens. The two talk constantly between the two when Suzuki isn't here, and it is implied that neither likes Suzuki as of yet. Everyday the Prophet makes a new prediction, one prediction per day, though Suzuki doesn't know this. Another thing he doesn't know, is that once Suzuki himself can hear the Prophet, the entirety of his Zanpakuto can manifest itself.
Sealed:
Appearance: Ten'i Shouten is an ordinary looking blade. It's a straight katana approximately 3 feet in length. The tsuba is a five pointed star, made out of brass and gold. The blade has a dull sheen, but the edge is unmistakably razor sharp. His sheath (saya if I'm not mistaken) is a pitch black sheath, with the design of blood red rose petals littering the length of the sheath. A black ribbon is wrapped around the hilt.
Shikai
Activation Phrase: Watashi no tamashii ni hikari wo ate ru, Ten'i Shouten. (Shine a light on my soul, Natural Focus)
Appearance: His shikai initially looks very simple, but deceptive. When released, his zanpakutou initailly seems like a long silver bostaff. Engraved on the staff is the design of red thorny vines wrapping themselves around the entirety of the bostaff. The bostaff stands at an exact 71(5'11") inches, one inch taller than Suzuki himself. If one were to take a look at his Shikai, they would say that there is no way that he could be as much of a threat as other, more bladed Shikai. This is one of it's greatest deceptions.
Abilities: His Shikai is rather unique, in that it has no one element aligned to it. Rather, his zanpakuto deals with the manipulation of the Reiatsu around him, and the amplification of all kido used by Suzuki. His zanpakuto has four main powers, Kido, Manifestation, Division, and Infusion.
Kido Engi (Demon Arts Amplification): The staff can be used as a conductor for most of his kido spells. In other words, he can channel the spell through his staff. The power of any kido that he uses in this manner is doubled. There are some spells, such as Kurohitsugi, that cannot be conducted. To be more specific, any kido above 66 cannot be conducted. This is one of his most used powers in Shikai.
Hyoumei (Manifestation): By gathering Reishi from the air (or himself if he has to) , he can manifest two scythe blades made of pure reishi on his Zanpakuto. These blades can cut through things as easily as a blade. Where are these blades manifested? One blade manifests on the top of the zanpakuto, and the other on the bottom. Simply put, no matter how he holds it,there is always a blade facing the enemy, and one facing him. He can also choose only to manifest one of these blades.
Seppan (Division): This one is similar to Manifestation, in the sense that he uses reishi from the air (or himself) to use it. He can then split his zanpakuto through the middle, creating two much smaller 'hand scythes' connected by a chain of reishi. He can then use these as projectiles.
Senjigusuri (Infusion): This one combines the Kido ability with the Manifestation ability. By channeling a hado spell through his Shikai, he can infuse his scythe blades with the element of the hado used. In addition, the strength of the spell determines how long it lasts. For example, if he channels a Byakurai through his zanpakuto, the scythe blades formed from Manifestation become scythe blades of lightning. However, since the Byakurai is a low level kido, the effect lasts only one post. Soren Sokatsui, however, is a fire spell, and as such would forms blades of fire. Since it's a higher level spell than Byakurai, it lasts longer, to be exact it lasts 7 posts. Like the Kido ability, he cannot channel some hado, however the list of hado he can't channel is considerably smaller. In fact, if he had the ability to cast it, he would even be able to infuse his scythe blades with the Hiryugekizokushintenraiho, which would last 8 posts. This is the most technical part of his zanpakuto.
-----
Sorry if that was confusing. His shikai is rather hard to describe.
Actually, I just found a picture that is similar, though not identical by any sense of the word, to his shikai. dragoon516.deviantart.com/art/Shadow-Dancer-102871557 . The blades are more or less like scythes instead of warscythes, but meh, it's close enough.
Bankai
Activation Phrase: Not achieved yet
Appearance: See above. I will state that there are two forms.
Abilities:See above
-------------------
Healing (or as I'm calling it, Chiyudo)
-------------------
Name: Inori (Prayer)
Number: Unnumbered (as most all healing kido are)
Effect: Essentially, Inori converts Suzuki's reishi into a healing reishi. He can then apply this reishi to heal wounds. The more severe the wound, the more reishi it consumes, and the more time it takes to heal. In addition, after three minutes (10 or so minor wounds or two severe wounds), the costs begins to exponentially escalate each minute it is held afterwords. For example, let's say for the sake of simplicity, that it takes 2 reishi units to maintain the kido for three minutes. It will take 4 reishi units for 4 minutes, 8 reishi units for 5 minutes, and so forth. His shikai will lower the cost to 3/4 of it's normal cost. Of course it isn't going to be this inexpensive (I'm assuming this is inexpensive in the grand scheme of things). The main weakness of this kido is it's exponentially rising cost to use. He can barely hold it for 5 minutes. There is no incantation, besides the name.
Name: Jinchuuriki (Power of Human Sacrifice)
Number: Unnumbered.
Effect: This is a last resort healing kido that he has, to this day, never used. Not even his captain knows of this technique. This is because, although he developed it, he vowed never to use it, unless it would save a person he considered precious. Essentially, it completely heals the recipient at a cost. Any and all injuries, internal and external, are transferred from the recipient, to the caster. In other words, if the recipient lost an arm, and Suzuki used this technique, the recipients arm would be recovered, however, Suzuki's arm would be lost instead. He will only use this once, and I have an idea for it. You may be able to guess it. I am only giving him this technique because it is required for what I have planned in the future. There is another side effect that I will go into detail on, except to say that it is also required for what I have planned. The reason I will not disclose it, is because if I did, my plans would be painfully apparent.

Bakudo
------------------------
37. Tsuriboshi (吊星, Suspending Star) - Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.
Incantation: unknown/none.
--------------------------
61. Rikujōkōrō (六杖光牢, Six Rods Prison of Light) — Summons six thin, but wide, beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of there body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.
Incantation: "Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!"
-------------------------
Hado
-------------------------
4. Byakurai (白雷, Pale Lightning) - The user fires a concentrated, powerful lightning bolt from their finger
Incantation: unknown/none
--------------------------------
33. Sōkatsui (蒼火墜, Blue Fire, Crash Down) — Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to 31, but over a wider area and with more power.
Incantation: "Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws."
-----------------------------
90. Kurohitsugi (黒棺, Black Coffin) — Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition. Suzuki cannot fully control this hado, it is simply used as a desperation move, a move of last resort. Before using it, he will capture the opponent with Rikujokoro first, yet even then it may not work, or it may hit both him and the enemy. Of course, there is also a chance of it going perfectly, without a hitch. He still has a lot of work to do to master this Kido.
Incantation: unknown/none.
-------
I know that this is seven, however, he will only really use five. He may use Kurohitsugi if pushed, but it is no where near mastered, and as such is a desperation technique. In addition Jinchuuriki is a one use technique that he will use much later. Therefore, you could say that he only mastered five kido, and you'd be right.
Other Characters:None at the moment. Planning on making an arrancar and a vizard though.

Shinigami Techniques
