"WHY WON'T YOU DIE!!!!?"
The young shimigami screamed at Sojukin as he struck him for the thousandth time on the chest with his blade, again it seemed to have no effect further angering the young man as the arrancar before looked at him with pity, then spoke for the first time. It was unexpected and the young shimigami stopped his attack in sudden surprise, his zanpakuto still hanging in the air as he went to strike at him again.
"What is it you seek by fighting me shimigami? Are you so ignorant to see you are blind to the shear difference in power between us? You are second-rate and will soon become nothing more than a meal for me and join the multitude of souls already interwined in my long history of domaniance. I am being fair this one time, because you caught me in a moment of calm as a reflected on my previous life. Run while you still have this option, or your guts I will render from your body and burn the rest into a fine ash which will travel this world without end till the end of time."
"That will just give me an eternity to think of how to kill you when I am reborn."
Sojukin was taken aback by the young mans retort, did he think in any of his pathetic lives he would ever be a match for him? Was he just stupid or suicidal? He frowned as his brow furrowed a little, this kid had no respect for strength and must die. He was nothing more than a blemish on the face of the all powerful society that constructed the hierarcy of the spirit world. His energy lacked even enough force to puncture his hierro, so what hope did he have. Yet...there was a fire in his eyes, something that Sojukin remembered, a look that he once held. It was determination, a desire to prove those around him wrong and show the world that he could do what it said was impossible. He knew the look well, he had murdered plenty that had held that same fire in their eyes and he would murder many more, but he remembered it most as it was the same fire in his eyes, on the day he died.
"Your foolish and your feeling are completely useless and your determination will only end up getting you killed. However, I respect that to a degree, but it will not change things...you will still die here today for refusing to flee this area. I will honor your death, however by drawing my blade against you and not mauling you with my bare hands."
Sojukin slowly reached for his blade, reaching for the ornate hilt as he looked at the young shimigami again. He was a simple lout, dressed in the common shimigami robes, if his was a bit dusty and tattered from having done battle with him for almost half an hour now. He had a squad eleven insignia around his arm, which made sense, because only those people were dumb enough to try this. He sighed and kept examining, he was moderately handsome, or would be if not for the x shaped scar running from his left temple to his right cheek, then his right temple down to his lip. He was bald, but it was clear his head was shaved due to the small amounts of hair that were coming up out of the back of his neck. Sojukin looked more closely expecting it for a moment as his sword eased out of its sheathe, the blood red blade signalling the shimigami's death. The man's hair was black and his eyes were red it appeared. He shrugged, a bizarre trait red eyes, but it didn't matter, those eyes would soon dull and there would be nothing left of him to admire, expect maybe his courage.
"This facade of a battle is over, die with grace or flee with your life."
Sojukin said his voice booming over the hills as his blade exited his sheathe and he used sonido to close the gap between them. He was instantly upon the shimigami, leaving him with no time to react as he plunged his zanpakuto through his gullet. The blood that seeped out of his body perfectly matching the color of his sword, making it seem as it his blood was flowing down in a large arch that it should be. Sojukin had closed his eyes as he shoved his blade in a little further, then looked down. The young man was bleeding from his mouth, but he had not given in yet, he was clinging to life by the thinest of lines and would most likely die very soon if he didn't receive healing immediately. He began to speak and gripped at Sojukin's hand. How could one person possess so much will, that on the brink of death he would push himself further into his grave by trying to force himself up by means of gripping his assaliant?
"I...wi...will, not...d...d...die" His words were cut off, by an upheaval of blood, which landing splattering against Sojukin's robe. "th...this way....Yo...You...hav...haven't...bested me.....I...will...win....."
There was silence for a moment as he stared down at the young shimigami. He was clinging for dear life, yet he was still claiming he could win. How foolish, he was beaten and he had no hope of ever achieveing victory. Destiny had already decreed he would die today and that he would never be anything more than a peeble in his path, a insigificant part of his life that would only serve to remember his foolish nature from the past. The light began to fade from the shimigami's eyes and Sojukin pulled his blade out of him, holding him up in the air just long enough to wipe the blood off of his blade on his robes before dropping him to the ground.
"I don't care if your alive or dead...If your alive you will soon be dead or maybe not. It matters not, you will never amount to anything and the fangs that bear toward me will never pierce the armor which I bear. If you live take it as fates way of giving you a second chance for making a foolish mistake. Now I must bid you adu."
Sojukin however, stood there looking down at the shimigami's body wondering silently, what gave him that much courage and determination and what had given it to him so long ago.

Saru Kurushimi was cursing the fates as he scarfed down his third meal for the morning. As Captain of Division Eleven, he enjoyed battle. What he didn't enjoy, was the relentless waves of hollow all trying to kill a shinigami, and picking him to be the one they killed. Hitotsubishi loved that fact that Saru was using him more, and was making fun of him for tiring out so easily. Saru, if you let out more of your reitsu, you'd not be so tired. and if you released me- Hitotsu, shut up. If I show all my abilities up front, when I face an Espada i'll have no ace up my sleave. Point taken. but you're the captain of squad 11. you should not be so tired after a hundred puny hollow. Before the mental conversation could continue, a hell butterfly landed on his shoulder.
After leaving its message, Saru set down his empty rice bowl and chopsticks. "Damn. Another one trying to prove that they are stronger than everyone else when they are not. If you are lucky, Hitotsu, he'll be waist thick in hollow." He grabbed Hitotsuboshi's black sheath, and tied it back onto his sash. He scrawled out a message for Aiko, saying that he was fetching one of the dumb asses from outside of Tokyo. As he approached a senkaimon, he heard on of the guardians chuckling at him as a hell butterfly left his shoulder to lead Saru through the gate. "I'd stow the laughter. I could make your life a living hell before you could even blink." the man quickly straitened up, making Saru smile as the gate closed behind him. What it opened up to quickly wiped the smile off Saru's face.
Standing in front of Saru was a semi-well dressed Arrancar standing over the body of his dead squadmate. Shiketsu was his name, and from the looks of his clothes he had been fighting the Arrancar for a while. Hitotsu, looks like you get the full workout today. gripping hitotsuboshi's hilt, Saru locked his gaze on the back of the Arrancar's head. "What are you doing here in the Real world, hollow?" A scowl was on Saru's face, as the hand he had on hitotsuboshi started to shake with anger.

"What are you doing here in the Real world, hollow?"
Sojukin was already picking up the shimigami's spiritual pressure before he exited the senkaimon, he was pleasantly surprised to find someone with that much power coming out to meet him. He turned slowly on his heel, to meet eyes with him, there was the same fire and he noticed he was of the same squad as the man he had just slaughtered. Sojukin brushed the blood on his jacket slowly away, showing that to be the only stain on it as they glared at each other. There was a long pause before he spoke while messing with one the black tips in his hair. His voice coming out as thoughtful and wondering, but with a cynical twist and sarcastic undertones.
"I was just enjoying the day, Hueco Mundo gets very dull. Its nothing but eternal night in a desert with no weather. Not even a cloud to watch go by. It is simply a shame for us hollows, to have nothing to do, but fight eternally under the moon of Hueco Mundo."
Unless this man was completely stupid there was noway he was going to buy that dumb little story. Sojukin blinked once, then stopped playing with his hair ready to give the real reason he had come to this area. His body tensed a little knowing that combat would soon come about and he had no idea what abilities this man possessed. He was sure he was at the captain's level though and that would mean this fight wasn't going to be easy, but it would be enjoyable. Like everyone else that had ever stood in his way, this one would fall as well. He was confident in that, for he had only failed once in his life and that was the day he died and his rebirth began.
"This is the spot I died 1462 years ago, I come here every so often to reflect on my death and reconstruct it so I may see how I might have survived the conflict. In the past century I have yet to find a solution. I will keep visiting this spot until I do and noone is going to stop me. Not you, not that miserble little punk who couldn't even cut me, not even the Horrors will keep me from coming here!"
Sojukin grabbed his blade, lowering his right shoulder down and spreading his legs into a samurai quick draw stance, waiting for Saru to come to him. When he did he would draw rapidly and make an upward slice with both hands, before using sonido to make another gap between them.

Saru could already feel his berserker side trying to take over, and finish off this sorry excuse of a creature. But the Saru wasn't ready to get lost in the blood lust. He had no clue how much power this man had. Saru, if he has truly been a hollow for as long as he said, you must be careful. He may have fought captains before and won. he might even be able to stand on par with our shikai. You really think so, Hitotsu? Okay then. I take back my idea of holding back. As the arrancar finished with his little monologue, Saru grinned at the man. "You'll find that my blade is a lot more sharp than you think." As Saru saw the arrancar getting down into a stance, he smiled inwardly. he thinks i'm like the stereotype division 11 captain. wait'll he see's this.
Saru drew hitotsuboshi very slowly, giving off an air of a confident sword waiver. He held his zanpaktou out in front of him and roared in defiance, charging at him with deliberate slowness. when he got halfway there, he flash-stepped behind the arrancar. "Surprise." With that whisper, Saru slashed Hitotsubishi down rapidly, releasing a burst of reitsu at the end, giving him more than enough power to leave a nice gash in the arrancar's back.

Sojukin looked at the Captain with little interest as he neared him. Ok, theres no way this guy could be a Captain if he is this slow, then he began to think, he trying to fool me. He blinked just before the man flashed stepped and clicked his tongue letting the sonar go out. He was rewarded with a click bouncing back from behind him and used sonido to move his body just out of the way smiling at the Captain as he extended his hand out toward him.
“SURPRISE THIS! FUEGO DE DIABLILLO!”
The fireball rushed forth into Sojukin’s hand as the Captain’s sword moved threw the space where his body just was. At this range he would push it out, to ensure a hit and smiled as the green ball of fire finished constructing itself at the end of the thought. He grinned, then shoved the ball forward, launching it at five times the speed of cero. He grinned and in the split second it left his hand used sonido to leave the blast radius of the attack, finding himself hovering over a forest and thought perfect, I can use this area to my advantage later. He smiled a little and waved at the Captain who would either be putting out the flames on his clothing now or found a way to avoid his attack. Either way, he always did enjoy taunting his opponents.
“By the way, I’m Sojukin Asamoto, Tres Espada…who are you? You are obviously a Captain to move at the speed you just did.”

Saru saw the attack coming, and instead of catching it or batting it away, he took a very quick step to the right, and watched it pass by. Saru, release me now. this guy is not one to play with. Saru heard hitotsuboshi, and smiled. Whe he heard the the arrancar was actually an Espada, and the third one at that, the smile got very big. After the resounding explosion, Saru turned back to see a giant flaming crater. "Well, I am glad that was slow enough for me to dodge. Just so you know, I won't be holding back, Mr. Tres. Flame, Hitotsuboshi." There was a flash of light, smoke, and enough reitsu to make anyone lower than a VC eat dirt. Standing in the middle of the smoke was Saru, holding hitotsuboshi in his bo-staff form.
"My name is Saru Kurushimi, Captain of Division 11." With another big grin, Saru flash-stepped in front of Sojukin and spun hitotsuboshi around lightning-quick to aim a blow at his collar bone. With the amount of reitsu pulsing through Hitotsuboshi, it would of cut through a nice sized building.

Sojukin looked up and held up his hand as the man began his flash step. He yawned slightly bored with the tactic he had just used on him a moment before. What made him think if it didn’t work the first time it would work a second time under the same conditions? He sighed, such was his way of life, dealing with one pitiful idiot after another, each no different from the last. He looked up as the dark cubes collided together and formed a single black wall, after uttering the command; Barrera Oscuro. He always enjoyed the resounding ping that came after someone struck it. It filled his ears with a small sense of joy knowing that a sound so beautiful could come from something hideous. He grinned up at Saru.
“Well very nice to meet you Saru, but I’m afraid its time for you to die, but before you die, let me introduce you to my sword. Sword!”
Sojukin pushed up against the bo staff that Saru had produced, shoving it upward as he thrusted his own blade toward Saru’s left hip on purpose. It was meant as a warning to Saru, that this was his last chance to flee before he would get serious. The blade was glinting with its red blade and black lining running through it. In the light Saru could see just how ornate the blade was and how the red blade seemed to radiate with some separate energy than Sojukin as if it was being lead by four hands instead of just one. The smile grew wider on Sojukin’s face as he felt the blade whistle through the air speeding toward its target and the back draft ruffled his jacket. He was feeling that same exhilaration that he was way back when, though he did not fear death as he did before.
“MEET SARU!”

Saru felt his anger rise as a black wall appeared. This man hides behind walls. is he so weak that he cannot take a strike from me? Hitotsu, help me end this weak coward. He saw the espada push up his bo staff, and in his touching hitotsuboshi, he felt his muscles tense up to swing his blade at Saru. In a roar of anger and joy of the fight, Saru released a massive amount of reitsu. As his body was surrounded by a yellow glow, he spun his bo staff around, and blocked the Espada's blade. In the midst of the shower of sparks, he looked Sojukin in the eye.
"Well met, Sword." with that he pushed the opposite side of hitotsuboshi down, using the strength of the espada's strike to fuel his second, close-quarters attack at Sojukin's collar bone. No chance to block this one with your wall, Arrancar. When it connected, Saru would relish in the sound of bones breaking.

Sojukin yawned again, then slapped the bo-staff away with his barrier and saw it begin to crack and finally vanish as the strength of the attack had been enough to drain the rest of the energy out of his shield. He smiled a little jovially and moved slightly as Saru would probably be surprised by the ease that Sojukin had deflected his attack. He had to admit it was an impressive Reitsu, but nothing compared to his own. He grinned even more and looked at him evilly, it would also serve him well when he released as the captain was flooding the area with his own reitsu. He would just have to wait a little longer and he would be set. He held his blade tighter and laughed.
“Ahh, my blade says that was a fine welcome and he particularly enjoyed biting into your zanpakuto’s flesh. Shall we really begin now?”
Sojukin flared his own reitsu as well sending everything around the area into a dirt nap. He was grinning wickedly and looked at Saru, his face a light with joy.
“Let me show you how to control it.”
The reitsu soon compressed itself along Sojukin’s blade, before he used sonido to appear right in front of him, he was holding the blade in both hands now. He was looking up and grinning with his own murderous intent again as they blade flew up beneath his bo-staff up toward his chest which was little more than a few centimeters from where he moved to. He was still smiling and pressed his head up against the bo-staff so that to really hit him with it, Saru would have to swing back further, which by the time he did he’d be impaled. Sojukin loved making people play by his rules and his rules alone. Nothing was more entertaining to him than watching people squirm for their lives or believing they had a chance against him.
