"Your souls will all be mine! I will now take rule of your pathetic excuse for existance, and any who dare to defy me shall suffer!!" The hollow shouted as he continued killing those brave enough to oppose him. Every effort to kill the hollow was an easy and unfortunate death for that daring soul. Every man, woman and child who tried running even got caught in the feinds cero, obliterating buildings and homes without a conscious in the world.
"I'll stop you!......ahhhhhhhhhh!!" Yelled an old man, who drew a very old and rusty sword from the side of him. The man dressed as a shinigami, but his clothes were tattered and old... for a second, it seemed the demon would have a worthy adversary... perhaps this old man WAS in fact a shinigami... but as easy as he drew his blade, the hollow shot a cero at him, and took off his head.
"Soon you will all worship me!! And I'll kill any shinigami and soul to get in my way!"
***No threat is to be certain on the gates as far as we know. But the people are being torn apart and the hollow is becoming more and more dangerous by the moment. Though most souls being killed are criminals and thugs in district's 75-80, some of the poor innocent villagers are being killed as well.***
The hell butterfly notified Captain of the 3rd squad Sake Kruzyama of the alert first. As a protector of gate defense, this was definitly somthing that he was going to watch for... if this hollow... or whatever it was manages to kill enough souls, and gather enough strength, it could manage to break through these walls easily, He though to himself.
"This is somthing strange thats for sure..." Sake said a loud. Sitting at the bar, just on the outside of the 3rd districts boundries. He wasn't sure if it was somthing to engage with, or sit tight and alert sombody else, or even alert the commander himself about it.
Sake stood up and walked toward the door of the bar. His slight buzz quickly sub-siding with un-ease and adrenaline rushing through his veins. He turned and looks towards the air where the hell butterfly hovered above him, Sake then placed his finger in the air, signaling the butterfly to take a message...
***"To any captain in the area, This is Captain Sake Kruzyama with an urgent notice.. Districts 75-80 in the Rukongai in desperet need of assistance... this is not a test... meet me on the East Gate of the Seireitei immediatly..

Not a lot had changed in the past few days since the vacant commanding seat in the 2nd division was finally filled by the prominent former vice-captain, Tsuno Azuka. While one would expect the raise to captain-rank and joining the ranks of top-elite withing the Gotei 13, as well as assuming command of the Soul Society's most secretive organization of assassins and infiltrators, the Onmitsukido, to be full of hectic and busy administrative duties, one would be surprised to realize just how much more freedom the seemingly always working shinigami was able to enjoy. Tsuno was always always used to doing everything he could, both administratively and hands-on to ensure that everything was still running as smooth as possible after the death of the previous captain, and even before then. With the responsibilities of being one of the newest captains in the Gotei 13, Tsuno decided to cut back on the quantity of duties he unnecessarily handled and began focusing even more on the few that were most important to him. Those duties being those of a Squad Captain and Corps. Commander, and also husband and soon-to-be father.
Tsuno watched over the sleeping frame of Korin, his long-time bride since before ever even dying the first time in the world of the living at least 300 years ago. Of course he was unable to remember the details of their life together before coming to Soul Society, but he did know that he would always be there to look after her. He smiled as he roused from her gentle nap, and brushed away her silky black hair to plant a light kiss on her forehead.
"You have to go now, don't you dear?" She asked sleepily, already knowing the answer to her own question.
"Only for a while," her husband grinned softly as he began to stand straight, stretching and yawning giving away that he too had not long ago roused from his own much needed sleep.
"You know I'll be back this afternoon to have dinner ready, plus I also already prepared yakitori for you to eat if you're hungry before then. Anything else you need for when I get back?"
"Hmmm," the woman pondered, propping herself up on the tatami mat she was laying on. "Yeah, just one thing. Make sure to come back in one piece, I'll kill you if you get hurt out there, got it?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'd never dare piss you off if my life depended on it, dear." Tsuno chuckled as he reached his arms around her in embrace, breaking off after a good ten second hug, making his way to the balcony that oversaw the jurisdiction of Squad Two within the Seireitei while putting on the freshly new white captain's haori with the insignia of the Second Division on it's back and lined with a dark red interior. Placed the dark sunglasses he was most commonly seen wearing on his face, Tsuno glared into the sun as he slipped the sheathed zanpakuto into the back of his sash.
His eyes followed the fluttering silhouette of a Hell Butterfly and reached out his hand, letting it perch on his extended index finger.
*** "To any captain in the area, This is Captain Sake Kruzyama with an urgent notice.. Districts 75-80 in the Rukongai in desperate need of assistance... this is not a test... meet me on the East Gate of the Seireitei immediately..." ***
Now this was something worthwhile, Tsuno considered. Might as well lend a hand since Captain Kruzyama is in need of it. Tsuno released the beautiful messenger back into the sky to go about its business, whatever that may have been, who knows what Hell Butterflies did on their own time? In any case, Tsuno raised his hand in a gesturing motion, signaling a generic masked member of the Executive Militia to come to his side like as if from thin air, always on duty for their master's orders.
"Inform the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seated officers of Squad Two to go about their business as usual today, I have pressing matters to attend to regarding business with the captain of Squad Three. That is all, dismissed."
"Yes sir." The guardsman replied and promptly vanished as fast as he had appeared. Tsuno also disappeared into thin air, leaving only a breezy vacuum of air from the instant speed of his shunpo.
Captain Azuka very readily made his way towards the East Gate of Seireitei, in search of Captain Kruzyama. Arriving at the large doorway separating Seireitei from Rukongai, Tsuno perched himself atop a small building overlooking the street below. It wouldn't be long for him to make contact with Sake and find out what seemed to be the emergency in the outskirts of Rukongai, as much as Tsuno wouldn't mourn the loss of the lawless thugs and rogues who polluted the area, there were still innocent people who'd be harmed if not for people like him looking after the weak. The slender and somewhat short, yet incredibly fit captain stepped forward, dropping to the ground as he decided to pass the gate and enter Rukongai East District 1 and wait there after not no signs of the other captain on the Seireitei side.

Sake turned as he noticed the first sign of reaitsu from a fellow shinigami, which happend to be Captain Azuka of the 2nd squad. Sake quickly appeared at his side, as he was at first standing upon a pillar outside the East gate, staring intensely at what was felt to be coming.
"Thanks for showing up Tsuno, seems like theres a decently sized hollow out there. And if I had my assumptions correct. He's moving this way."
Indeed the hollow or whatever feindish phenomena was out there, any captain or maybe even vice captain would be able to feel it, once outside the gates.
"It would feel to me it's making it's way towards here..." Sake's hand reached for his zanpaktou... pulled it out of his sheath, and instantly a screeching echo raged the area. "Use your sound like radar... how far is he" Sake said under his breath. He was talking to his zanpaktou. Being the blade of sound, he could use it like a bat uses its own voice, to see. But of course Sake's was more defined.
Momentarily the screech came back and Sake re-sheltered his blade in its sheath. His face was shocked none the least, but he quickly gathered his composure.
"He's made it to the 59th district.... Frequency says people are dead in this things path of destruction, as if it's trying to get caught." Sake's looked back towards the districts.....
"Should we make a stand and immediatly attack it? Or wait and make a stand for an ambush?..... My blade says this thing doesn't look weak in the least".

This wasn't good news to say the least if anyone was asking. The fact that whatever was out there was coming closer nonstop was enough to set anyone's nerves on end, even Tsuno, who rarely let his nerves get the best of him. Watching Sake draw his blade and let out a sonar-like click to track the approaching hollow was somewhat impressive in the younger captain's opinion, all that his Lotomasa was good for was straight combat without much other useful tricks like Frequency seemed to possess. Being presented with the right to give his own input on the situation was rather rewarding for the new captain, being treated as an equal by one of the people who only not to long ago would have been considered above him, but he would not let this new position get to his head for there was a pressing emergency to tend to at the moment.
"I have the means to prepare an ambush, if you would bear with me for a moment, Captain Kruzyama." Tsuno told Sake, lifting his arm into the air. The Corps Commander needed to do little in order to assemble an audience, by drawing his own blade and sticking it into the ground beside him, within seconds a small crowd of nearly thirty identically dressed operatives revealed their presence to their new commander. Being in charge of the Onmitsukido did have benefits to say the least. Tsuno issued his orders to the agents and organized a strategy on the spot to prepare fighting the unidentified hollow.
"The enemy has last been located in District 59 East. Make your way in that direction and prepare an ambush to draw it away from populated areas, this hollow appears to be very dangerous so do not attempt to engage directly until Captain Kruzyama and myself catch up. Dismissed."
"Yes sir!" Replied the voices of several dozen masked assassins in unison before one-by-one disappearing from sight as Tsuno reached for his zanpakuto, cleaning it's blade with his hand before sliding it back into place in it's sheath. Tsuno turned back to Sake and addressed the fellow captain once again.
"They should be able to hold it off until we arrive ourselves," Tsuno commented, glancing off towards the east. "Some of them will probably die, but that's life for them in their line of duty. Still, as long as they are only trying to distract it, it could give us more than enough time to intercept it and kill it where it stands."
He was a bit nervous being so upfront towards another captain, but didn't let it show. Sake appeared to be a fairly smart fellow, surely he'd understand and hopefully agree with Tsuno's course of action and not question the new captain's decision. Even if not, anyone would have to recognize that the men sent ahead were Onmitsukido, not Gotei 13, and answered only to Captain Azuka on behalf of the Central 46 itself.
"I'm ready to go when you are, Sake."

Sake was pretty amazed by Tsuno's course of action. A multitude of men in an instant, pretty intriuging Sake had to admit at the least. For his men who might die, Tsuno was right..
"I agree Tsuno... it's not just there duty, but ours as well with all the other shinigami, to put our lives in risk and danger to protect the weak." Sake smirked a bit, always proud to be a soldier in any type of line of duty. It was his way of the samurai, and none the least, exciting as well.
"As a new captain your doing pretty well Tsuno, Im not too old a captain myself.... at least your squad has subordnates, I don't even have a VC in line" He then laughed a bit before motioning that they move along.
Within a few seconds, both of the captains speed made it to the 59th district, which had the smell of burnt flesh. Many homes were burnt to the ground, and innocent people were murdered. The monster wasn't even sensed in the area, but it seemed more than half of Tsuno's men were gone, and the others had the look of shock and despair on there faces.
"Where is the demon!" Sake yelled, asking one of the men, but there would be no answer. It was like they were totally ignoring him, scared perhaps, or just devastated.
"Do you feel anything?... where is it?"

The compliments received from Captain Kruzyama did manage to give somewhat of a morale boost to the younger captain, but there was pressing business that had to be tended to. Tsuno quickly followed Sake using constant use of shunpo and began moving their way to the hollow's last known destination, East District 59. Tsuno had no problems keeping up with Sake, who seemed rather talented at the flash step technique himself, which of the two was more adept at it would be interesting to find out but now was not the time as the destination drew closer and closer. As they drew near to their intended area, Tsuno couldn't help but notice how little the other districts closer to the Seireitei were barely affected.
"...something isn't right," Tsuno uttered under his breath as they kept moving.
"Whatever it is we are after, it seemed to stop advancing towards the Seireitei. If it had kept moving at the pace it was earlier, we should have intercepted it by at least District 55 if not sooner, was it resting? Or did it know we were coming... this is bad."
Arriving at the location, the sight was terrible and the smell of blood and smoke, burnt bodies and destroyed houses polluted the usually fresh air of Rukongai. It was repulsing, particularly to one like Tsuno who knew firsthand the devastation that occured out this far into the back country of Soul Society would very well be ignored if not for people like himself, or Sake, who took it on themselves in order to protect those otherwise ignored by the Gotei 13. Tsuno turned to the wounded man being interrogated by Sake to no avail, and tried his luck with him. These men had no loyalty to any of the thirteen court guard squads asides from Squad Two, perhaps that meant he would only answer to Captain Azuka, and not Kruzyama.
"What happened here? Somebody report, now!" Tsuno ordered, only a few of the surviving agents seeming to even acknowledge their commander's presence. While some tended to the wounds of their injured allies, one particular man sitting on the ground managed to reply to Tsuno's command.
"Hollow..." he began, coughing up some blood and clenching his chest in pain. "Some of us managed to injure it, it disappeared and started attacking from out of sight... we couldn't get away... our failure to carry out your orders, sir, was unacceptable... death is the reward for our incompetence."
With that, the man collapsed dead from internal injuries. This was very troubling indeed, a hollow that was able to defeat nearly an entire patrol of elite guardsmen from the Executive Militia while utilizing some sort of stealth capability. Did this only mask it from sight or also hide its spirit pressure? Tsuno had enough bad experiences fighting an opponent like this already to expect the worst was still to come. He decided to issue a full retreat for his surviving men while the captains would continue the hunt for this hollow themselves.
"Everyone, listen up! I order everyone to gather the wounded and regroup at Outpost East 55 to rest before returning to Seireitei. Captain Kruzyama and I will finish the job, dismissed."
Without any reply, the surviving men hurried as they could, the healthiest performing healing kido on the most injured. Others helped each other up and they vanished from sight, some using shunpo, other using kido to simply hide themselves. In any case, Tsuno was confident that they would be okay from this point, now that Sake and himself were going to be doing the fighting. Tsuno's hand found it's place on the handle of his zanpakuto, ready to draw at a moment's notice, survaying the surrounding area in hopes of finding some clue as to the whereabouts of the hollow. Hopefully Sake would also be doing the same and they'd be able to flush out the monster soon enough.
