Hands crossed between my knees,
held clamped together roses interwined through each.
Thorns may pierce the flesh, but for her it is no test.
On this merry summers eve, I stand ready.
For this is the day I let the world know this love is real.
That our commitment is not just some half baked cherade.
The ordeals we faced, saw fit to make that real.
Holding you closely now, my hands tremble as I open them.
The roses bring a gleam to your eye and you smile taking them.
The glee is apprent in your eyes as you bring them up.
You smell them for a moment, while I hide my blood stains.
The blood on my hands the same color as the petals of the rose.
