Standing at a simple 5'8 Suri could not be called short nor tall. Her long legs which are decorated with scars from battle and being a clutz give her most of her height but her torso does a fair amount of work as well. While her arms are scraggly and raather useless looking they have enough muscle in them to swing a blade a tremendous forces. Suri's arms are the palest part of her body, somehow no matter the intensity of the sun that reaches them her arms never tan.
Suri's face is round at most angles, yet pointed every so slightly at the skin. Her ears are often hidden behind her hair, for no reason other than the fact that Suri hates to have her hair pinned back from her face. Because of this Suri's bangs will sometimes loosen themselves to dangle ahead of her eyes.
Suri refuses the term beautiful, but she won't accept those who claim her as ugly. Her hair is a striking purple-maroon color that reaches past her shoulder and down across her back in long strangs of straight and shining slices. Though her hair is the same dark shade as her eyes the two colors do not balance well. A brown with a purple-red seems to be the last thing expected from her but Suri had never objected to her difference of contrast. Her light hair allows her skin to have a slightly tanned contrast though looking closely one could easily tell that Suri is a pale girl, certainly not from lack of sun.
Suri's body is fair toned for a sword-weidling girl, but she isn't anerexic;y thin. She is thin enough to be confident, not so thing that it makes one cringe. Luckily enough, Suri was graced with having an incredibly small chest. Perhaps one of her least-favored traits. The rest of Suri's body tends to be frail and thin as well, meaning her fingers which are oddly long and thin. She was always told she had 'proper paino playing fingers'.
For clothing and other attire Suri refers to the proper Shinigami robes and clogs. The only adjustment to the robes are the light purple ribbons that decorate around her waist to match her eyes. Purposly, Suri has made a rather large tear at each shoulder of her robes feeling that she needed to make a statement by doing so.
Suri wears no necklaces, bracelets, rings, or any sort of jewelery as she fears it will get caught during battle and strangle her. Perhas a childish fear but one that seems logical enough to Suri to follow it. Though Suri is attracted to shiny things she pefers to keep them in her pockets or rooms instead of on her.
Personality:
Suri’s outside shell is that of a fierce, independent young girl who never struggles through her life, never fears, and never backs down. This is the mask that she wishes to wear, she does not fool people with this by mistake. Her intentions are not cruel, but if people really learned how weak she was inside, how close she was to falling through the cracks they wouldn’t look at her the same. In all honesty Suri can be quite a whimp and fears very many things such as the dark and snakes, along with killing herself again. Suri finds that the worst way to die is suffocation, thus she is slightly clausterphobic and stays away from small, tight spaces that can close her in. Suri also stays away from packed areas where there are too many people to be comfortable around.
Suri prefers not to be silence in fear of someone finding her awkward. Though Suri would comfortably sit and listen to someone talk to her about anything, so long as there is noise for her to distract herself with. When Suri was living she listened to music very often to block out things around her. Suri's tastes in music are anything but the harsh scream of heavy metal, seeing as she listens to music to get away from people yelling at her in high pitched voices.
Suri is always shy and silent. To her friends she is carefree, a bird with unclipped wings. She portrays the atmosphere of someone who never fears death, as she had been through it before, but when it comes down to the last scratch of battle where blood is thick on the ground and in the air, her fear is like nothing else. Suri enjoys life, but not to a point where she wishes to give it away doing something foolish.
Growing up Suri was taught to be a ‘proper young girl’. The scolding was always something similar to ‘sit up straight’ or ‘don’t let your hair fall in front of your eyes, how will we see you?’ even her least favorite was constantly repeated; ‘A young lady such as yourself should not be wasting time day-dreaming and slacking where there is so much to learn!’ Because of these constant naggings Suri has brought herself to hate those who put manners as their first priority. Suri will never be rude, but to follow what her parents always wanted of her is too much to ask.
To put it simply, Suri does not believe in love. She holds no desire to spend her life dedicating it to someone else. She enjoys flirting, perhaps even the odd affair, but never will Suri allow herself to love another person. There are many people that Suri would not hesitate to risk her life for, though, in friendship, never love or lust.
Perhaps Suri’s weakness is her lack of will when it comes to temptation and addictions. Suri easily falls for something too fast, whether it’s food or a new hobby, she lives for the crave of something she is not allowed to possess. Drugs were never her scene, but should Suri be drawn to try one she would be addicted momentarily. Thus she had never allowed herself to stray anywhere near anything dangerously addicting.
Suri never lets her temper show through, as her desire to make friends is far too tremendous. There have been cases where Suri has blown a fuse, mostly towards her parents, but during the heat of battle Suri will loose herself and take out any contained anger on her target. Suri survives in battle by releasing the emotions that she has kept locked inside. She finds it easier than allowing others that she is close with to see what she is feeling.
Like most other Shinigami Suri enjoys a thrilling battle. To her there is nothing that will get her adrenaline rising like her blades slicing through the skin of an opponent. Suri has never, and never intends to, allow herself to feel guilt at another’s expense. If someone gave Suri a reason to destroy them it was their own foolish actions that did so.
Suri does not eat much, simply because she is not so often hungry. But she does have an incredible sweet tooth that has led her to eating far too many sweets, making her often sick and lowering her immune system.
History:
That thing called life
Suri found herself born into a life of bright colors, flashes of loves and pictures of loss everywhere around her. It was normal for a child herself to be curious about the world around her. Suri’s parents understood for the most part. They were never strict with her as a four-year-old girl. Some of the fondest memories were by the river in rainstorms watching the fish bob to the surface hunting for food that would never be there. Splashing in puddles in her bright yellow raincoat and boots to match. It was always a smile she wore. Whether rain or shine Suri and her family could always find a way to make the best of everyday, it was heaven on earth.
Two years later Suri’s brother Mikki was born. He was a gift to the family and everyone was excited to be creating the perfect family, even Suri. She had always wanted a younger sibling, she had always wanted to be a role model for someone. Things would get even better, right? They always did. But with the birth of the new boy the family life became hectic. Suri’s parents never had enough time to spend with her, not when they were busy mending her baby brother’s life into a web of perfection.
It left Suri wondering if they had ever spent so much time on her.
Life Without Meaning
Even after suffering through the loss of her parent’s free time Suri spent her days outside doing the things she would have normally done with her mother and father. At the age of ten she had been spending more time with her friends than anything else anyway.
Then her brother learned to do the things that Suri’s parents had always dreamt of her achieving. They called him ‘Mikki-the great’. A name that could have always used more imagination, but it wasn’t something that Suri got a say in.
Mikki could speak like a proper boy, never slurring his words. He was a gentlemen in the flesh, the last ‘prince-charming’, every parent’s dream come true. And Suri? She was ‘that girl’ she was always ‘Mikki’s sister’. Though it never felt like it. In fact, it never felt like she was part of the family at all.
Within the month that everyone discovered Mikki’s talent to be perfect they always started pressing Suri to be the same. She had to sit straight. She had to use grammar in speaking and writing. Schooling was always the most important thing. Everyone scolded Suri for her purple hair. It wasn’t ladylike at all. A more proper shade of an elegant brunette would be more fitting. Though every brand of dye washed from her hair without a trace.
She was a lost case, and she didn’t care. If only her family had felt the same way about it. Maybe they didn't see her struggling to regain the happiness and warmth that she had before. That was their own loss, because Suri didn't need them or anyone-anything else to get on in life.
What’s lost is always gained
Five months through horrid work and Suri had not become any better. But there was a change in Mikki. He still strived to please, still wanted everyone to think the best of him, but he seemed to need Suri’s attention more than anything. He was always banging at her bedroom door with the flawless cookies that he had baked or the stories he had written about princesses for her to hear. Nothing would make Suri want to accept her brother as a friend. Mikki ruined everything. Everything bad was his fault.
Yet somehow the need for love from her family wore her out and Suri allowed herself to listen to her brother. Just this once, she told herself, because he would ruin every thin again. But Mikki wasn’t a stuck-up snob; he wasn’t a trophy his parents had created through sex. He was a boy, longing for someone to see something in him other than talent.
Suri’s parents didn’t understand why Mikki gave up the hours he usually spent with homework to play outside with Suri, but perhaps the older people did loose sight of things that would make them happy. Suri had lost that once.
It was a summer that left Suri breathless, come October she was back to shining and playing around the river with Mikki. They were siblings. They were best friends. For that small amount of time, everything was perfect. Flawless, even.
That Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Spring came early, baring new joys. For once Suri was sure she had everything perfectly laid out, and falling in love with the boy of her dreams didn't do anything to dim it, either. Her life was perfect, whether her parents liked it or not.
Though perhaps it was the constant need to be with him that drove Suri's first love to cheat on her. Maybe she had been to clingy. Lots of girls said that it was a horrible thing to do. But to cheat on her? To betray her love?
With the thought in mind, the thought that he would never love her back, Suri decided to end it. End everything. She cleared her mind of her brother and parents and with one quick swipe of the long knife across her chest Suri found herself knowing the quick and deadly cut of love. Something that she would never allowed herself to feel again. That was a promise she intended to keep to herself.
Life After Living
Suri did regret killing herself. And all over love. Her life had mended itself and she ended it. What would her brother think? And her friends? And the fact that she had let that boy take over her life sickened her.
But it was just like Suri to stash away her emotions and continue on through the second life that she was given like nothing was wrong. She had gotten used to it, by then. Even in the present though, the fact that she had been stupid enough to kill herself naggs at her. That tiny voice in her head tells her she's stupid, and she knew she was.
Nothing could fix that.
It was never in Suri's wildest dreams that she herself would be one of the Gotei 13, one to take the lives of others, but quite a few things were turning out un-planned. She no longer felt it was right to keep herself at bay and watch while others changed things, she needed to do something that would change the world. She needed people to look up to her and say 'That's Suri Komikozu'.
With this intent in mind Suri joined the academy where she was pushed to the limits. Limits she never thought could even be reached were passed and even after long days of sore arms Suri continued through her training with dedication. For some moronic reason Suri had told herself that school back at her home couldn't possibly get worse. Perhaps the extra effort put into work would assist her in the furture though. She had no clue what she was getting into, so expecting the unexpected was all she could do.
Hours of training, un-needed bloodshed, and incredibly will power paid off when Suri made up her mind to become a member of the tenth division. The facts seemed obvious to Suri, the tenth division took care of Hollow, Hollow resided in the World of the Living, and so did the reason of Suri's death. Without a good reason to sneak away to the World of the living Suri was unsure she could go at all aside from the occasional requested visit. There were thoughts of joining the 4th division and assisting with medical theories, but somehow to idea of tending to those who had been injured didn't please Suri, and the 11th squad was far from where she should be. Somehow, the tenth simply fit everything she was looking for and possibly more.
The Dedication Fulfilled
Training along side the students in the academy was helpful, but the real, mind blowing work of the divisions was much more and Suri couldn't help but be thankful for working so hard during her time in the academy. It seemed that as she grew stronger so did her enemies, and so did her will to take them out. It was like a fire unwilling to die, and Suri enjoyed the addiction of always having more to do. Every wound, every close encounter that brought her close to death pushed at her spirits. They made her feel invencible and undefeatable, they made her feel above everyone else. A feeling that Suri had never experienced before, yet she knew not to let it get to her head. She had seen that happen to people perhaps too many times before her.
With effort and work put into the tenth division's requirements of her Suri slowly worked her way up the later of ranks, reaching from the 20th seat to the 10th, where Suri was sure she couldn't make it any further.
Of course during this time Suri was given the chance to meet people. Some liked and trusted, others far from it. None of them were people that Suri would have ever called close, but they were her fellow Division members and their lives were her own. She never would have thought to make her division her first priority during the Academy years, it just seemed like a place to learn more than, but finding out how much they were like another family was un unreplacabled feeling.
Mission after mission, Suri's feelings never changed. Her desire to accomplish and her determination to please never faded but incresed in time instead. And thought she still felt strongly, her desires seemed to be wearing her down. But they would never change. That was a promise that Suri made to herself, and a promise that she had enough confidence to know it would last.

General
Name: Bara {rose}
Spirit Description:Bara
Bara is a touchy character with a wicked attitude. Her intents to protect Suri from harm are the same as her intents to kill who gets in her way. She would have made the perfect moody-teenage girl.
Bara's short black hair reaches just past her odd cat-like ears that spike up from her pale face. Her ears and long feline tail and the only resemblence that Bara has to a cat. Her eyes are a gorgeous purple that shines with the joy she contains in living life in her own rather private world.
Bara tends to wear black clothing that makes her skin appear even paler than it is, of course the black hair also helps this. Bara has a pointed face and thin lips where her sharp canine-teeth tend to peak out.
Bara stands at a short height of 5'5 and has an incredibly frail figure, as if there is nothing to her. Her grace and stamina can be somewhat overwhelming in the case that she does tend to be a know-it-all. Bara also enjoys stretching the truth to extreme points. In other words, she lies very often. Bara is quick on her feet and silent as well. Her feet can move fast enough to leave no prints in snow.
Sealed: The sealed form of Bara is a simple blade much to the appearance of an average sword though tinged deep crimson in color. Along the blade are markings of cherry blossom pedals in a light pink nearing white, these markings reach to the sharpened tip of the blade and do not fall in a straight line, yet more of a zig-zagging pattern.
The true color of the hilt of the sword is midnight black, but this is not visible because of the bright red ribbons that decorate it. These ribbons allow for Suri to find more grip during battle. Seeing as the sword is light and narrow it allowes for quick movements and agile attacks.
Shikai
Not yet achieved
Activation Phrase: Deliver no mercy, Bara
Appearance: The size and shape of the blade remain much the same. The only difference would be the red ribbons coming loose from the hilt and drifting to wrap around Suri's pale arms, and the light pink cherry blossom pedals glowing with the same radiant color.
Abilities:
[Torent]: The ability 'Torent' allows Bara and Suri to summon a current of wind to their aid. This wind acts as either a shield which will be broken the moment Suri strike out to her opponent, or a deadly weapon when pushed forward by Suri's hand. Though the breeze does not cut her enemy in anyway, it will knock them back and give Suri a chance to attack without being interupted. The wind is invisible to the naked eye, and seeing as it is incredibly light it is an easy-to-handle ability.
[Radiant Gust]: This ability works in the same way that 'Torent' would as it allows Suri to take control of the wind around her. Though with Radiant Gust the wind will also pick up stray leaves and small stones that can cause serious damage to the opponent should the gust be pushed with enough force. 'Radian Gust' does not act as a barrier, but in a defensive and offensive movement to stun and harm the enemy. The strength of this Ability varies with the force of the wind around the battlegrounds.
Bankai
Yet to be achieved
Activation Phrase: Calm the heavens, Bara
Appearance: Bara gains a few inches in width and length but would still be considered a small blade. During Bankai the blade will take on the exact differences that the blade obtains during Shikai but the entire blade will be surronded with a soft pink aura that flares along with Suri's temper.
Abilities:
[Wicked Blossom]: During this Ability the blossoms from the blade shake free to reveal incredibly sharpened edges. These pedals act as tiny razors that will immediatly shoot at the largest threat around Suri. The cherry blossoms easily cut into skin and slowly spread a light, yet reactive venom through the enemie's body. Though it will take an incredibly long time for it to make its full effect, the venom will slow movements in the affected's body.
[Terrible Beauty]: In the last and most confusing ability Suri is able to connect with the flowers all around her and use them to her will. Though most plants do not act as threatning causes, the vines that entangle feet and tightly wrap around one's throat can. Using 'Terrible Beauty' Suri can strangle, trip, or cut her opponent if given the chance.
[4] White Lightning - Fires a concentrated bolt of from the caster's finger
[1] Thrust - Pushes target away from the caster
[9] Strike- When cast this kido sends a concentrated orb of red light toward the target at amazing speeds, and if it hits engulfs them in a blinding light that paralyzes all their bodily functions for a short period depending on their overall strength.
*Incantation: Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!*

Suri took a deep breath and pushed open the training room where she knew her sensei would be waiting for her very patiently. She had asked her sensei to teach her new kidou, allow her to learn them and then master them completely. She was not the best with kidou, hardly an expert and wanted to train more in order to improve. The young girl could see the lights casting ominous glows as she walked in. Her teacher was standing there, waiting for her. The girl cast a glance at the room. There were wooden boards, like the ones used for archery, hanging about three feet away from where she was currently standing. Suri bowed to her sensei and whispered.
"Ohaiyo gozaimasu, sensei"
"You're very on time, Suri. Now, let us get right in with the training session, shall we?"
The girl heaved a sigh and then put on a pleasant smile. Then she nodded her head, signifying a mutual consent to what her teacher had said. With the nod, the old man before her produced what she knew was the kidou book. She had seen the kidou book when she first learned kidou spells in the academy. Suri also knew that her teacher often used this book for training his students. He leafed through the pages, searching for a kidou. Then he settled on one kidou.
"You are capable of something more than kidou spells such as soukatsui or shakahou. Let me see how you fare with this one. I will leave you with the kidou book. It will prove to be very useful. Remember, every time you want to train kidou spells, just come here and look through this book."
And with that, he tossed the book to her. Suri took a look at it and her eyes widened. The kidou before her was more advanced than she had ever been associated with. The girl looked at her sensei for a moment and he nodded. So, he had so much trust in her? This added pressure to the girl but she knew that it was only for her own good. Her objective WAS to learn new kidou spells, ne? Her teacher smiled at her and said. "You must first perfect and completely master Hadou no yon-Byakurai first before attempting the kidou."The girl nodded her head and stepped towards one of the panels three feet before her.
Suri took a deep breath in and closed her eyes. She needed full concentration for a technique such as this. The girl could feel her reiatsu coursing through her veins, a heat which made her tremble slightly. This was one of the most important steps to learning any kidou spell, as she had been told many times before when she was still an academy student. This process was very important for the success of any kidou. The girl usually needed almost five minutes in order to conjure up the necessary reiatsu for a kidou spell as high as Hadou no Gojuuroku.
Hope I can get this right...
She knew that she would have to first perform the Byakurai technique which was not a problem since she had already learned and mastered the kidou. She could feel the reiatsu conjure in her body and travel to one place, her right arm. The right arm was her dominant, the one which she used for kidou spells. She pointed her index and middle finger towards the wooden panel on the far right. She hoped to be able to perform this technique to its fullest, where the reiatsu discharge would be the greatest and where her accuracy level would also be great. Once she felt the numbing feeling in the palm of her hand and edge towards her fingertips, she whispered.
"Hadou no yon-Byakurai"
A bolt of blue light discharged from her fingertips the second she finished speaking the phrase. She knew that with her reiatsu discharge, it was at a great potential but that she would have to conjure up way more reiatsu for Hadou no Gojuuroku. She knew that Byakurai only fired one white lightning spark but Kyouran Byakurai would fire multiple. The more reiatsu discharge and the more refined, the girl would be able to fire more white lightning sparks. But Suri knew that she was going to need more concentration and more energy for this. But she was ready for anything which lay ahead.
"Good, now make sure that your reiatsu is more defined, more precise and stronger. The stronger the reiatsu discharge, the better chance you will have of being able to learn this kidou."
The girl smiled and nodded her head at her sensei’s words. This was going to be harder for her right now. Suri turned her attention back to the boards. Her objective was to hit three boards, which meant that she would have to create three sparks of lightning. The young Shinigami closed her eyes again, concentrating on reiatsu formation. This was the first time she was performing a kidou of such high level and thus she did not know how much reiatsu was enough.
She felt the warmth in her body as she felt the reiatsu travel. She trembled slightly at the sudden warmth as it became stronger and stronger. Suri directed the energy towards her hand. She could feel her hand numbing and her fingers numb as well. She brought her right hand upward, pointing her fingers towards one of the wooden panels. Then she opened her eyes abruptly and with no hesitation, she whispered the incantation.
"Lord, the shattered vault! Pale the midnight rose. Silver rain, broken sky. Sigh the man's cry in the deep sepulture of cowards. Carry the arched fool to the gates of torn hearts!"
The girl could see her hand radiating with the blue and white energy as she said the words. It was only after she said the incantation that she stop for a moment, allowing the reiatsu to refine before discharge. Then she called out "Hadou no Gojuuroku Kyouran Byakurai!" Her voice was only a mere whisper as she said these words. As soon as the words were said, the girl released the reiatsu in her hand, seeing the blue and white energy flow from her body and into the air.
I hope this works...
The girl could see the spark carry and launch towards the board. It should then seperate as soon as the reiatsu was launched from her fingertips. From what she could tell, it wasn't doing that. She wondered why and looked towards her sensei who was also assessing the situation closely. Her fingers fell to her side as the spark was launched and the disappeared, before hitting the wooden board that was her target. She thought of reasons why it was unsuccessful.
“Perhaps too early to teach you such complex things. Do not feel discouraged, you gave it your best.”
That wasn’t enough for her, Suri wanted more, but she knew that her sensei was done with her for the time being. Suri bowed and faked a smile. It was completely useless, after training in only three kidou she thought she could manage such a thing? She could have hurt someone.
Or she could have mastered something that no one her rank had. Determination swelled within her as she rushed through the doors into the soft breeze.

Zanpakuto
General
Name: Bara {rose}

The blackest dark, a percing night...
There's nothing better than to feed off your fright
