Name: Ein Thane aka Wanzer
Gender: Male
Age:654
Ranking:Masked Syndicate Below Council former Squad 2 Vice Captain and Squad 12 Fifth Seat
Physical Description:
Ein stands at 5 feet five inches, giving him a rather short stature and coupled with his weight of only 147, he is one of the most unimposing Vizards. Ein's body type seems to be more endomorphic than anything else and has trouble building much muscle and maintaining it. Aside from this he does have some degree of muscle, but is still incredibly skinny and lacking muscles larger than the size of a tennis ball. Ein's hair is a light brown and is slightly unkempt, giving it a short spiked look, but can easily be combined out to give it a more natural appearance. His face is a little round as if not maturing all the way, but there are several sharp features upon it such as his chin which juts a bit from his face and gives a sort of regal appearance. His nose is small and button shaped and his ears are about the same with the lobes being connected to the side of his face. Ein's eyes are soft and hazel colored, usually appearing bored or out of place.
Ein commonly dresses as a normal day to day person keeping up with staying incognito in the human world. He wears thick rimmed glasses to throw would be pursuers off of his trail and for the fact he has a slight stigmatism which he normally corrects with contacts. He wears blue jeans that appear to be used to work quite a bit as they have traces of dust and grime on them and a simple black t-shirt with a white symbols written in calligraphy. The shirt says The Truth best hidden behind lies in japanese. Ein usually also carries a locksmiths kit in his pocket which hangs out a little along with a sheet of paper with a grocery list. This is all of ascetic purposes and helps him to blend in. His shoes are just normal tennis shoes without high tops and are colored white and black. The only other thing he wears is a brown belt that he has neglected to buckle all the way.
Ein's second outfit his used only when he knows that blending in is no longer an option. It is much more comfortable and a little more outlandish that his first one, but it gets the job done. Ein's second outfit is composed of a pair of white slacks with three golden buttons running down the outside of the legs. Each of these buttons are spaced at about four inches and the last one stops just before reaching the foot. In the belt loops is a black belt which goes all the way around and is buckled this time with a golden buckle. His upper body is covered with the same black shirt though tucked in and over this is a simple red leather jacket that hangs down just below the waist and is always left open. The cuffs of the jacket are rolled up and his wrists are visible. Inside of the jackets pocket is a small pocket watch which Ein never appears to look at. Along with everything else Ein will keep a case on him with several diseases to use during combat on him.
Personality
Ein is kind and understanding, who listens to both sides of an argument before acting unless its clear one desires to do harm for no other reason than to prove himself or herself greater than the other. Ein likes to observe before acting in any situation and is annoyed when forced to act without any information on an opponent or subject matter. More often than not Ein will find himself looking over some new subject, but also neglects to look at the smaller details taking in what he deems necessary, instead of everything. He believes that any situation can be solved through negotiation, but if that fails or an opponent won't listen to reason, a quick stab to the back of the neck solves all problems. Ein also doesn't believe in lording over weaker opponents and no one should be allowed to challenge some that is weaker than they are, this often drives him crazy and causes him to act irrationally.
Ein's pride in the fact of being a shimigami left him when he became a vizard, do to years of studying their actions before and after he was a shimigami through libraries he didn't have access too when he wasn't a vizard. He no longer respects the shimigami, because of their lack of negotiation skills and their tendency to strike at anything that doesn't agree with their way of life. He often will look back on his actions as a shimigami and wonder if they are just are not and on several occasions has made questions of his own morals. He has lost much of his confidence over these questionings and has sworn to right all the wrongs he has committed by helping the vizards and other races should they need them. However, he will work with the Shimigami if he believes they are working for a similar goal or stopping someone else from destroying the other races.
Ein holds all the races in respect of being possible allies as equals and even though he knows some are not as physically powerful as others, each race has their own given place and right to live. Hollows and Arrancar being no different, they were given a lot in life and they follow it just as shimigami and humans follow theirs. He will often preach on this too members of the vizards till they have to smack him to get him to stop. He also enjoys the company of the other races and when he can he especially enjoys speaking to Hollows or Arrancar on equal ground. Though most of them time he is fighting them over some small matter. He will not kill a hollow for eating a soul before it can be given a soul burial, they are just doing their jobs or trying to become stronger and will not interfere in one these matters as who knows what that hollow could become in the future, possibly a potential ally.
Ein believes Arrancar to be one of the most interesting of all races as they like him are a hybrid race and hold extraordinary power. He very much likes to speak with them in civil ways and when in fights will try to convince them to stop attacking so they may speak and he can find out more about them and their beliefs and why they do what they do. He has not yet learned of the Horror Vacui, but he would be immensely interested if someone told him about them. He treats all of them with respect and had the pleasure of meeting the former princess just before she died, though they didn't get to speak much.
He is knowledgeable on most things and he is driven by finding out new things and discovering all of his abilities and his own limits. Ein constantly wants to break over his limits and trains hard to do this, primarily in hakuda. He keeps a daily record of how much his body can handle before it collapses and then monitors the list daily for signs of improvement. The driving force behind most of his actions were the teachings of his father, who passed away after Ein became seventeen of heart problems. Ein took all of his father's sayings and teachings to heart and became a little philosopher, ending several of the disputes around his town.
Ein admires and pities the quincies and bounts, do to their noble upbringings and their resilience through all of the trials their races have been thrown. He however, does not agree with the rogue bounts killing live humans and will interfere with this when he must. Normal humans, Ein tends to treat like children and those that have spiritual powers he treats like adolescences and tries to guide them. Ein just recently discovered the NWO and finds them to be a pitiful organization and wishes nothing more than their destruction for their arrogance. He is self-righteous which is odd, because he constantly belittles the shinigami for their self-righteousness.
Ein's biggest fear is being unable to do anything or being unable to save someone. He is very action based and falls into a depression when he realizes that he is powerless to help or fails to act. He also has a fear of certain insects like spiders, bees and locusts. This is do in part when he was a small child he was stung repeatedly by a swarm of them. One of Ein's biggest goals is to find a cure for every known heart illness and a way to reverse the effects of cancer. The first due to it killing his father and wanting to never see another child have to go through that again. The second do to the epidemic that plagues every nation of the world, it is a horrible disease that torments a being to their death bed before terrorizing the remains of the body. Before he was moved to the second division he spent a lot of time researching the two and made small steps in their progress, but not enough to hold any water.
Ein enjoys being in large crowds and socializing and when he is alone is usually listening to some debate over the radio or television. He considers knowing every point of a debate to be necessary before continuing on with it, but still will jump to his own conclusions as everyone else does. His favorite food is anything spicy and he will constantly push the boundaries to find something hotter than his previous meal, usually ordering the items on the menu that require you to sign a waver. He dislikes cold foods and refuses to eat ice cream or anything else that is cold to the touch, aside from a drink. He can generally be found doing some mindless errand while eating a hot dog or drinking pepsi.

Ein was born July 19th 1355, in a small village in what is now Denmark. He was born into the Thane family, a poor family of clock makers, who devoted themselves to making the most beautiful clocks in the world. The village relied on the small family to keep everything running smoothly time wise within the village. His family was well respected and held much weight in the matters of the village, along with a great amount of sway during their council meetings. Ein's father, Herrick Thane, usually kept things quiet in the town because of his cunning and charming personality. Though there were quiet whisperings of him just trying to set the village up like a hierarchy and many also distrusted him.
Ein was raised mostly in seclusion until he was twelve. He was being taught the art of making clocks by the time he was four and he showed some promise. He created his first complete work after a year of learning and it was a small mantle clock, much like the ones you see in senior citizen's homes. He continued to work with his father, spending almost all his time inside of the workshop learning the trade. Diligently he studies and pieced together marvelous works of art all the while looking to the outside world and wondering what it must be like out there. Those thoughts never lasted long though as there was always work to be done and time to become better at his trade. When he grew weary he would usually sleep in the workshop, on a small cot he made for himself. He never got tired of making clocks and only worked harder to make one as grand as time itself. This continued until he was seven.
Having spent three years working on clocks, Ein found a spare lock in his father's drawers when looking for more gears. The lock was open at the side and Ein looked into it, its construction was similar to a clock and he began to tinker with it and soon figured out how everything worked. He smiled and soon began to test himself on its knowledge and used several clock makers tools to open the lock without a key. He smiled to himself and decided if clock making ever failed him, he knew he could always pick locks. Soon after this event began to wonder more about the outside world and snuck toward the door that lead from the workshop to the outside. It was locked as usual, but Ein picked it easily, before poking his head outside. He felt a rush of cold air touch his face and shivered a little as he pressed out through the heavy oak door. He looked up and saw the sky for the first time in his life, then a chunk of a bee's nest between his eyes, before being stung repeatedly. He yelped and ran inside the pain cause him terror as he shut the door tight and made sure the bees were outside. His face was hurting bad, but he knew he'd be ok after some of his mom's kisses anyway. He took a fleeting glace back and run up the stairs, thinking the outside was beautiful, but dangerous.
Having had his fill of the outside world, Ein once again returned to the workshop and continued to work on clocks and occasionally find a new lock to practice lock picking on. His parents would normally leave him secluded in the workshop and only called him to get him to eat or to tell him that he needed to sleep. He obeyed with little hesitation and would always lay down and dream of the world outside, before raising just before dawn and continuing his work for the next day. This pattern of raise, work, sleep, dream, raise, work, sleep, dream continued for the next four years with little variation aside from the occasional interruption by his father who came to check on him. Ein never grew lonely, till the a month before he turned twelve and he saw children outside of the small window playing in the summer flowers and warm air. He was slightly envious, but he ignored them and continued his hard work. Another month rolled by and he turned twelve after his party and a small cake he went to his room to rest and noticed the children again. He sighed and thought how much fun they looked like they were having and went to join them the next day. He smiled as he picked the lock again to the door that lead outside and walked around and joined the kids in play. He didn't know, but his mother and father watched with joy as they saw their little boy socialize so well. Ein continued his frolic with them for a long time and all was well, he would work at night and play during the day and his parents considered him well balanced. He grew older and hormones kicked in by the time we was fifteen, he soon found the young girl that played with him every day becoming more and more attractive. He began to flirt and the two became more than friends and slowly developed a budding relation in the era. Ein knew he wasnft expected to live much longer than twenty-five and gathered his courage and introduced the girl to his parents. His parents were overjoyed and convinced him to finally take up his own clock making shop as his father was becoming to frail to continue his work. Ein did and soon construction of a new home had began, the construction took two years and by that time, he was now married and his wife was pregnant, his father had died from heart failure and his mother was a grieving widow, who out of compassion for his mother Ein allowed to stay with them.
Ein's business soon thrived and he found himself at his father's standing not so long ago. He worked even harder now and did what he could to provide for his family and raise his child well. He began to wonder though if he had made the right choice with his life though several times, but pushed the thoughts aside and went back to work. Soon however, as Ein turned twenty he became obsessed with his grandest work. It was a massive clock tower he planed to implement in the middle of their town and encourage new immigrants to join them. The entire town helped with the effort of building the massive tower, while Ein alone toiled day in and day out researching and building, adding more and more advanced gears, cogs, switches, springs and coils to the mechanisms of the tower making the giant look tick and tock with every passing second. His wife soon grew worried over this, but Ein pushed her worry aside and told her not to worry over him.
Ein began the final part of production ten minutes before seven a.m., June 17th 1375, he began the grueling climb to to the top of the tower to put the final pieces of the clock into place and everything went smoothly after his initial exhaustion from the climb. He soon after arriving at the clock werenft section secured himself to a rafter at the top of the tower. His work took him the better part of an hour, placing every little gear into place wasn't difficult work, just time consuming. Each one had to be put perfectly in place, then with a series of rods and counter-balances be set so that it would turn slowly to make the clock accurate. He was almost finished when he noted that to reach his last gear he'd have to untie the rope from the rafter. Ein did this carefully and crept along the clock work before putting the final gear in place. The clock slowly started after Ein did this and he moved out with a great deal of grace before he began his decent down to the ground, but not before standing in the middle of the great clock and marveling at its intricacies. He smiled as with each second the slow, tick, tock, tick, tock rang through his years and grinned more with every movement of the second hand. He left after that.
Ein would continue to live with his family for the next three years, before succumbing to an unknown disease that was beginning to spread through his little town. Ein was one of the first cases and the doctors had no idea what to do for him, so they quarantined him and he died shortly after. They retrieved his body after finding a cure for the disease and buried him next to his father in a funeral that everyone in the town attended. His spirit watched quietly from afar and was at rest and moved about quietly for a few weeks, before being picked up by a shinigami. At first he was confused over this, but she gave him a soul burial and he entered into the spirit world of Distract 67 East. Ein's new life in the spirit world was hard on especially because of the zone he lived in. Thugs and thieves were everywhere and one had to know how to defend oneself to survive here. Ein began to teach himself a form of martial arts, training hard with his own home on different body and nerve strikes that would render opponents helpless.
Ein's studies for this mixed involved primarily being a hypocrite and stealing several books on the human anatomy. After this it was a simple form of applying it to combat and striking every nerve with enough force and enough times to paralyze that point of the body for a moment. It took him almost two years to perfect the technique, but he never really tired it on a real opponent until the following September. On September 9th 1379, Ein left his home on a routine grocery run. As he left the grocery with several loaves bread, a package of meat and a assorted bag of vegetables, namely cabbage, Ein was attacked by three large thugs, each at least two to three heads taller than he was.
"Hey little man, you got some food, we want it."
"Sorry, but its my food."
"I don't think you get our drift," The smallest of the group who was still around 6'1 said to him while he picked his teeth with a knife and belched a foul oder. "We, want it." He stuck his hand forward and shoved at Ein, but was surprised when Ein put dropped the bags perfectly on the ground and gripped two of his fingers and crushed them together, applying more force as he went.
"What ya, think that gonna, OWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!" The giant of a man began to scream as his fingers were being crushed. He was soon on one knee before Ein who let go and all three charged him. He smiled a little and thought this would be a great chance to test my abilities.
Every fist seemed to move in slow motion to him as he ducked around them and moved with ease, gripping each arm as he moved around them and striking the nerves several times before they could turn around. He ducked again as another blow sailed over his head and smiled, before striking the nerves around the stomach, causing the biggest one of them to vomit. The air was soon full of the foul iron and rotten meat smell as he continued to hurl and Ein moved onto the other two. Under the fight, over the leg sweep, it all seemed so routine to him like he had been doing it all of his life. He bent his back and went under another swinging fist and struck several nerves on the behemoth's arms again and he felt the entire thing go limp under his fist. He moved out of the way and took another stance as the two that were unharmed ran away and the third began to throw his weight around wildly while he swung his knife. Ein moved around him again, gripped his wrist and squeezed hard, while repeatedly striking his arm. It wasn't long till his fist was covered in blood and the man was screaming for mercy. Ein let him run away, then picked up his bags and returned home to cook his meal. It was the best damn meal he had had since he died.
The dreams started then, they were terrible and awe-inspiring at the same time. He was in the middle of a massive mountain range, the ground was covered in what appeared to be snow, soot and blood. He walked around the area slowly and saw nothing, the sky was in a perpetual night and the entire sky was lit up by an Aura Borealis effect, creating a beautiful array of rainbow like colors. The scene was interrupted though by a massive screech and the flapping of wings. He looked around, but it echoed through out the range and soon he saw what had created it. A massive black dragon of European descent was wrapped around a peak almost five hundred feet from him and was looking down upon Ein with a hungry glazed look in its eye. Ein nearly wet himself as he looked up at the beast and it spread its wings and roared again..wait, he understood it. Another roar and it came out clearer.
"I will beat the wind to death and set free the sky in which I roam. Held within this plane no more shall I be or my name is not....."
The rest came out as a roar and the area was engulfed in darkness, before the dragon receded into the abyss below the mountain range and Ein woke up.
"What was that? What did it mean?"
He asked himself silently and noticed that his stomach was growling. That was odd, he hadn't actually needed food before, he sighed and moved out of his home carefully moving to the market and getting food to satisfy his hunger. This process would be the make up of his life for the next three years, when his world changed as his dreams began to have an effect on his home and his neighbors' homes. The air around the area began to get heavy and there was always a sense of dread in the air around it. Residents felt fear from being around it and soon the houses were empty expect for the middle one. The shinigami soon came to investigate and informed Ein that his spiritual pressure was causing discomfort to others and that he should either move away or join the academy. Ein began to mull over his options and they gave him two days to decide. He found a bottle of sake in the market and debated with himself over the options, until he finally decided to join the academy and learn how to control his own power and to discover the meaning of his dreams.
The following morning he arrived at the academy and was awestruck by its appearance. He had never seen anything so big or grand before in his life and certainly not so set up for students. He began to wander the academy awestruck at its appearance and at how good his uniform felt against his skin. Each step was bliss compared to the itchy fabrics that he had to deal with in the real world. He smiled and learned his schedule for the classes he had to attend and on what days. It all seemed like a bit much, but he got the hang of it soon enough after a few times walking through it. Soon after he found his quarters and laid down in the bunk, his first official day as a student would begin tomorrow and he had been told to relax while he could. Ein never regretted his decision to do just that.
The horn for the students to wake up was blow at 6:40 A.M. and Ein, who had rarely ever gotten up so early since his death was in a moment of shock from the rude awakening. He rose swiftly and began to clean himself for the morning, before heading down to breakfast. Everything was at a frantic pace, until everyone began to eat, then it slowed down and there was a precision to every movement as if everyone ate in unison. He was perplexed by the sudden change but didn't reply to it as he seemed to eat in the same beat with them. He got up after finishing and moved slowly through the line returning his plate, before the franticness started up again and his first class was kido.
"What in the world is kido?"
Ein found himself asking another student, who simply laughed at him and said he'd find out as they marched into a square room and an instructor drone on and on about how important kido was and how it was the manifestation of spirit energy, through incantations that others would call magic. He, then began the long, arduous and overly complex explanation on how to use spirit energy for this purpose, the entire lecture lasted about forty minutes with only ten minutes left in class to practice. Ein paired up with a tired looking young man, who shied away from him at first but allowed himself to be paired with him. The pair soon began to focus spirit energy into a ball between them and let it rest carefully as a single white light between the two. Each continued to push in more spirit energy and it grew as they leveled themselves out to allow for loss and gain. Soon the horn rang again and they dropped the spirit energy. Ein felt exhausted from it and would later find out that his spirit energy was a direct relation to his well being and the more he used the weaker he would become. This didn't trouble Ein much as his next class was hakuda.
Hakuda was where Ein thrived; no one in the class could even touch him, not even the seventh year members. He was like a miniature torrent of death as he moved carefully around a flurry of blows and applied his own version of martial arts to the hakuda. He grinned from ear to ear as he had several opponents on him, at the instructors wish. Sweat glistened off his brow as he began to work. The woman on his left snap kicked at his head and he ducked under her leg, turning his body rapidly into the curvature of her leg and giving her a shattering nerve blow into the stomach, before ducking a uppercut and a double round house. He watched carefully as his opponent threw punch after punch, kick after kick, he was fast and it was a little hard to keep up but it was doable. He jumped over a low kick and had to twist his body in midair to avoid the high kick that came after it. He was surprised to see another student behind him coming in close to strike him with a hard right hook. Ein grinned and stuck his hands on the ground spinning his legs under the student behind who feel over and then gripped by Ein's free hand and thrown into the faster opponent who narrowly dodged the hulking body, but not fast enough to avoid seven nerve blows to his head arms and chest.
"Stop, I have seen enough!"
The instructor yelled as Ein bowed to the three and was patted on the back by the instructor. Ein was asked from then on out to teach the class as his style was superior to the teachers. After the hakuda class came swordsman ship. Ein had a little trouble in the class, but it was nothing he couldn't handle. He just had to learn as he had learned his martial arts, even if that meant losing a few sword fights. Ein grinned on his third day of training and he clashed swords with the same man that had wailed on him the two days before. He was showing a great ability to learn and predict his opponents and soon the two were on equal grounds and Ein was pushing against him. They clashed more and the battle ended in a draw and Ein bowed to his partner, who promptly bowed back. The two became something of friends for a while, but a dispute over who had the better chances with a new girl soon ended their friendship. Of course the girl liked neither of them and ended up with some sophomore.
Ein was never much one for tardiness and his next class much to his delight taught him how to move faster. It was a shunpo class and though initially hard, Ein got the hang of it after a month. Hs first days were so great though, they were playing tag on the third day and he was embarrassed by his lack of ability in it.
"Hey slow poke your it again!"
"Hey hurry up!"
"Can't you catch me?"
The shouts echoed through his ears as the sophomores and juniors taunted him and he ended up tagging another freshman, before darting off in the shady area of the woods again. He pounced around from tree to tree, his footing never much more than shaky as he landed on the thin branches. He continued to rush along them as he heard one creak and suddenly snap beneath him. He collided with the ground hard and rubbed his hand gingerly as it bleed a little. He shook it off however, but was tagged before he could really regain composure. He sighed and the chase began all over again.
The next month however was a different story, he was moving brilliantly amongst them and his speed was rivaling the sophomores. He grinned as he tagged a junior, then dashed away. He briskly hoped through the trees and used shunpo across a large creek, which another sophomore tried to imitate and ended up in the water. Ein grinned at his advancing rate and was now only having trouble in swordsmanship. He ignored his lack there and practiced little thinking that his skills in his other classes would help carry him through. He smiled as a few future 'Fodder Squad' snuck up behind him one day. Each was carrying wooden swords and were getting ready to hit him with them out of aggravation for beating the hell out of them in Hakuda. Thump Thump, thwack, whack! Blows ruined down upon Ein like he was in a storm as the three men struck wildly at him and it was all Ein could do to defend him. He groaned and begin to reach down for one of his books to use as a shield when he felt it. His zanpukato, it had appeared beneath his hands somehow, but where had the sword come from? Ein was just about to draw the blade and cut the wooden swords down when a senior beat him to it and slashed the three blades down to the root.
"Beat it you punks."
The female said as she stood like a sentinel over Ein. A brief rush of wind blew her auburn hair aside as she hovered over him and helped him to his feet, while the 'fodder' ran off. Ein recognized her immediately as she turned to face him and looked at him with concern. It was Lisa Montamu, one of the so called geniuses of his class, she was perfect in almost every class and was close to learning the name of her zanpakuto. Several of the court guard squads had already tried their hands at recruiting her most without any luck and Ein was flattered that she had come to help him and was also embarrassed.
"You didn't need to do that, I had it under control."
Ein said calmly, his face bright red out of having to be saved by her.
"Didn't look that way Thane, come on let me tend to your wounds."
Ein was bleeding in several places, including around his eyes and his back. She had him remove his shirt and slowly green light came around her hands and she began to heal him. It was rare for shinigami to be good at healing kido, but Lisa was incredible as most of his wounds just began to vanish. Startled, Ein turned slowly around to her as she smiled at her work.
"I don't want to fight Ein, before you ask, thats why I haven't joined any of the court guard squads. I want to become a member of squad 4, I despise fighting and want to stop it, want to bring peace to the spirit world."
Ein listened to her as she spilled her guts to him and went on through a lengthy confession about how she was born into one of the noble families, but had run away because of their constant grooming for a life of warfare. She had eventually hidden herself away in the rukongai and had entered the academy when she thought it was safe. She came with hopes of entering the court guard squad in squad four and teaching through example how to make peace with the other races. Ein listened for a long time and nodded, before asking.
"Why did you tell me all this?"
"Because I figured you would be the only person that would listen after I just saved your butt."
"Oh, that explains that."
Ein looked at her for a moment and they stared at each other awkwardly for a few moments, before they both began laughing and became close friends. The conversation continued with Ein, explaining how he had died and how he had come to the academy, before the next bell rang and the two went their separate ways. They continued to meet and share stories and be there for each other when the other was having problems, the relationship eventually calumniated into a minor romance. This was short lived after Lisa was finally accepted into Squad four. Ein was happy for her, but at the same time sad that he might not ever see his friend again and sulked for two days in his room as it was a holiday. The morning after school started anew and he caught himself thinking of her instead of focusing on his classes.
"It was just a crush, everything is fine."
Ein lied to himself as he practiced his kido again, eventually succeeding in getting her off of his mind. Though the thought of her holding him always came back after a moment and distracted him, usually with disastrous results especially during kido class. Ein on one such occasion was in the middle of a incantation and finished it as his mind slipped over to Lisa. He gulped and tried to focus, but the image of her face distracted him and the kido blew up in his face. He sighed and took the day off from classes the following day to clear his head after having his instructors berate him. After another two days of some mild distractions, he got over constantly thinking about her and found a time and a place to do and continued on with his life.
During Ein's fourth year in the academy, he began to feel pings from his zanpakuto constantly, as if it was calling to him. He questioned some of the older students about it and each of them told him to listen to it and follow the voice. Not understanding what they meant, he listened, but only felt vibrations for a while. Words began to form after that, though slurred and inaudible. Soon he began to make out all the words until only the name remained unclear to him. During one of this 'conversations' Ein felt a sharp tug at his mind and when he opened his eyes he was in the same dream world he had seen before. He looked around at the mountain pass and the deep abyss below. His breath was visible to him and each time he inhaled it drew sharp pains to his lungs. He took another look around and panted as he shivered, all around him were mountains and placed on the edge of the abyss was a massive black castle with a small pyre burning at the top. He gulped again and began to make his way toward the castle his feet moving through the soot and snow that was on the ground. He drew his hands up to his face to breathe on them to give them warmth when there was a massive roar behind him, then the beating of wings.
Ein turned and was horrified to see the large black dragon raising out of the depths of the abyss once more. Ein began to run as the castle looked to be the only safe haven. He gulped and ran faster as the dragon roared again, the immensity and magnitude of Ein'sfear blocking out his thought. He ran harder, tripping and crawling through the soot and snow for a moment, before gathering himself back up from his heap and continuing on. He looked back and the dragon was hurtling toward him from the air andcit was speaking to him!?
"Human, I will fest on your soul! You have no business being in my realm!"
"What the hell are you talking about!?"
Ein cried out as his body soaked itself in the sweat of fear and exertion as he continued to run and the dragon's stomps rattled the mountain. He took a good look behind him and noticed the dragon's eyes glowing red and purple as he gave him chase. He swallowed hard and let his adrenaline carry his body faster, just another mile to the castle, then he could hide inside of it. He felt the sweep of an attack from the dragon try to tear off his head as it continued after him.
"Get out of here you idiot, how dare you defile my home, I am the great king of my people I am....!"
Ein's ears felt blocked as the dragon cried out his name he heard only the first syllable as his legs felt like they were giving out on him. His mind hazed over and he left his feet leave the air as he jumped down the mountain side down to the castle blew and rolled through the snow while the dragon screamed his adamant hate for Ein. Ein got up slowly as the snow and soot clung to him and rushed into the castle. He swallowed hard as he looked around the massive construct and hurriedly began to close the door to the castle as he heard the dragon outside rage against the door and felt the entire place shake from every blow. Ein began to think a little about his situation and looked up at the castle around him and the mountain side as he thought about his dream before. It hit him, the dragon was his zanpakuto spirit and this place was his mind. It startled him as he realized this and shouted back at the dragon.
"This is not your realm you beast, it is mine! This is my mind, you are but the dweller of it! You serve me not the other way around!"
"You arrogant human, you have no idea the force with which you call to! I may be a dweller in your mind, but this is my plain and I rule with an iron fist! You are but a visitor seeking my power and so forth you are unworthy of the power of Shintan Tsume!"
Ein heard the dragons name that time, there was no hiding it as the dragon roared and Ein shouted his name out commanding him to stop as he shook in fear and anger.
"Shintan Tsume! You listen to me! We are partners, neither ruler nor ruled. If you help me I will help you and from there on out we will be friends."
There was no reply and Ein returned back to the academy his head pounding as he was sprawled on the floor of his room his Zanpakuto now in front of him. He held his head which was now aching from the yelling and felt like someone had just put a bucket over his head and rattled it with a lead pipe. He groaned, then rushed over to the window and bent over it puking and wishing that it didn"t have such a revolting taste. He panted for another long moment, then sat down and walked to the bathroom. He sighed and washed his face and hands, before drinking a glass of ice cold water and looking down at his blade. It seemed to growl when he touched it, but soon quelled and submitted itself to his touch.
"Shintan Tsume, I think this is the start of something."
The sword seemed to snuff at him and he had a mental image of something rolling its eyes, before he began to exit the bathroom and head over to his swordsmanship instructor, he wanted to speak to him about this issue first as he was the most knowledgeable about swords. Shintan Tsume had a few words for Ein first though.
"Ein, that is your name is it not? I will aid you if only to make sure I myself survive, but you listen close you maggot, if I ever break free of my bound of this sword, I will murder you first and you best pray that the day never comes that I am set free."
"I'll keep that in mind."
Ein said quietly as he took a step onto the training grounds for swordsmanship. Normally they would use the inside grounds, nothing more than a large rectangular room with an area for fighting while the other students watched, but there was an outside area. It was a large stone squard with several benches and mats set around for seating and a platform for the instructor to watch. The entire place was shrouded in a emerald glow coming from the sun shining through the trees around them, most of them with near transparent leaves. Ein walked along the long wooden path way, each step creaking softly under his light steps, before he entered the training grounds. He stopped for a moment as the instructor seemed to be meditating and waited for him to notice him. That didn't take long though as the instructors keen sixth sense immediately alerted him to Ein'spresence.
"What can I help you with young man?"
"Master, I just had a experience that I wish to speak with you about."
"Then speak of it child."
"Master, I just entered my own mind and was attacked by my own zanpakuto spirit. It terrified me and drove me deep into the recesses of my own mind. I have never seen anything so blood thirsty or vicious."
"Hey, I heard that you excuse for a blood stain!"
"Master, I learned his name at the end of this mental journey and speaks to me now constantly."
"Young man, please call out to your spirit and command it to reveal itself."
Ein looked a the instructor for a moment and was scared, but he got up and searched for the words to summon Shintan Tsume. His mind came to a small phrase and Ein called out to his blade as he drew it.
"Rise from the Darkness, Shintan Tsume!"
As Ein called out as his zanpakuto it burst into a thousand black shards and pulled back to his hands and encircled them. As they darkness faded, two black claws resembling the dragon's claws in its manifested form. He stared down at them for a long time and noticed bracers beginning to extend out from the claws which stopped at his forearm on each side. He looked down at awe of his released state as the instructor before him began to speak again.
"Ein this is called 'Shikai' or your first release. It shows that you and your zanpakuto are in sync and no longer in need of the academy, but do not forget what you have learned here Ein and always remember that you can rely on yourself just as much as your partner."
Ein was soon was surprised by two captains jumping down out from the trees beside him. The respective Captains of Squad 12 and Squad 2, both were legendary and Ein hastily bowed. The began to speak to him about their squads and what they stood for and asked which one would he join. Ein shaking asked to be put in the twelfth division so he could study diseases and help find cures. Ein's zanpakuto had long since returned to normal as Ein terrified by the sudden emergence of the captains wanted to show that he submitted to them. He looked up for a moment and the squad 2 captain had disappeared and the Squad twelve Captain motioned him forward to come with him.
Ein walked along the street of the Seireiti quietly as the squad twelve talked to him about his duties as the new fifth seat of the division. Ein nodded in agreement, but was mostly in shock as they wandered through the streets and eventually came to the Squad 12 section of the seireiti. The captain left him a small list of things to do and Ein got on it. He sighed quietly after he was done and noticed a book left on the tiny desk in the office he was lent. It was a book full of the diseases of the spirit and human world. Ein's eyes widened as he began to flip through the pages and wandered into the lab which held samples of every disease in the book. Ein gulped and looked around in awe and set to work. He did research and sweep through the book learning causes and possible cures, finding ways to prevent the disease and the way it was spread. He spent four hundred years, almost always locked inside of the lab, finding the diseases cures and working diligently to fix their causes. He was interrupted one day by a sudden arrival of his captain and another officer.
"Ein, your being moved to Sqaud 2 as their Vice Captain you know so many diseases thats useful in assassinations as well as your zanpakuto is good for them as well. Ein, your free to continue your work anytime you want to here, but the central fourty-six have decided it would better benefit the seireiti if you were in Squad 2."
Ein froze for a moment over his microscope, but didn't argue. He knew it was pointless and rushed out of the room with a small tear in his eyes as he flashed stepped to Squad 2. He didn't even know how the other Captains had known he had also been training and had increased his power up to the level of a Vice Captain. He kept moving across the roof tops of the seireiti and finally Shintan Tsume spoke to him.
"Hey, Ein you have enough power why didn't you say no."
"Because, I don't have enough power and I never will."
"You belittle yourself for no reason Ein."
"I belittle myself, because I have a reason to Tsume. I lack the ability to shape my own future and am a pawn in everyone else's game. I need to become stronger Tsume and maybe squad 2 can help me become that."
Tsume was silent and agreed with Ein for once. Ein arrived a moment later at Squad Two's door and was then instructed through the art of assassinations and was given a week to master it before he was given his first assignment. Ein went through the paces and carefully studied a new list of anatomical parts that resulted in instant death. The work and hours were long and it wasn't something like studying diseases that Ein enjoyed. He sighed just before going about his assignment, the assassination of one Lisa Montamu.
"Lisa? What did she do?"
"She has rebelled against the Soul Society Ein, she is no longer one of us and helps those of Arrancar, Vizard and Human. Her heart may be in the right place, but we can not tolerate traitors end her life."
"But..."
"No buts Ein, do it or you'll suffer the same fate."
Ein flashed stepped away, wondering what had gotten into Lisa as he passed through to the human world and investigated her last known location. She was there, standing on a roof top north of Ein's birthplace, holding something against her chest as she looked out across the endless icy plains.
"I knew they would send you eventually Ein."
Lisa said without turning to him, her voice seemed to be on the verge of tears and Ein could see it was the picture of him and her back from the academy before they had to separate.
"You're here to kill me aren't you? Those bastards in the Soul Society are making you do it! Ein don't be a fool! Don't play to their games, please come on lets make a life together."
Ein wanted to reach out to her and had his hand just about to touch her face when his zanpakuto spirit roared at him and in that instant everything went straight to hell. His body froze as he looked around and three low level arrancar were upon him. He growled himself this time and began combat with them. His body was torn to shreds, but he won the long and bloody battle and Lisa ran to him crying and was starting a healing kido, but before he knew it, a suggestion from Shintan Tsume poured through his head and it screamed stab her. In his hypnotic state of mind Ein obeyed before his starled eyes opened wide and tears flowed down his face as he clutched her body.
"She was trying to kill you Ein! Stop crying over that whore traitor's body! Ein! Stop your sobbing!"
"You idiot! she was trying to heal me! You absolute moron!"
Ein wept for a long time over her and pressed his body forward and without knowing it caused the hollow virus inside of his shirt to crack and the vapors reached Ein's nostrils. He didn't even realize what was happening as he set her body down and prepared to travel back to the Seireiti, by that time it was two late. He was half way down the path when his body froze and he began to feel the mask form on his face and roared at the men near the entrance to shut it quickly. They did as he bid and he stood there looking up as the hollow form completely over took him and he shot back into the human world. After a spree of destruction, several vizards bound him and cast him into the bottom of the brotherhoods tower. They had him bound with several binding kidos from nearly every level Ein laid there locked in mental combat with his inner hollow for nearly a hundred years and finally woke up near the present day. His body had decayed slightly from lack of food which had to be forced down his throat. He arose slowly and spent weeks reconditioning his body, but it would take a much longer time to repair the spirit damage caused from the long period of no use and the war that had raged inside of his body. He slowly gathered his clothes around him and shielded his eyes as he stepped into the light of day for the first time in over a hundred years, beginning his new role as a Vizard.

General
Name: Shintan Tsume
Spirit Description:
www.deviantart.com/download/47276994/black_dragon_attack_by_el_grimlock.jpg <<== SHRINK THIS DAMMIT - Goldenkitten
Shintan Tsume appears as a large black European style dragon with a long sweeping tail and monstrous red and purple eyes which only reflex his pure intent to kill. His entire body is covered in heavy adamant scales which do not impede his ability to fly on his large leather wings that spread out for a total wing span of three hundred feet. Along its back and heading down half way its tail are long rows of spines that lay back giving it a stream lined look and a malicious one as well. His claws are as sharp as razors and each one is about four feet long, along with his teeth being the same way only being less than half that size. Just above the dragons forehead is a large scar, which seems to symbolize that the dragon was once hunted by humans.
Tsume's personality, is vicious, cruel, inconstant and murderous. It has no interest in keeping any friends and during shikai it has shown tendencies to strike at either friends or foe when given leeway. Its greatest desire is to eradicate all non-dragonoids from the planet and to enslave those that are not, however this he can not do until he is free from his prison inside of Ein's zanpakuto. Tsume can be poetic and caring though and often will speak to Ein when he is feeling down. Though this could just because Ein's emotions directly effect his world.
Sealed:
Ein's zanpakuto when sealed takes the shape of a wakazashi or a long katana. It is roughly three and a half feet long and Ein does not normally use it during combat and keeps it stored on his back until he needs to draw it. When drawn the blade is slightly odd in design as the base of blade seemed to appear in a little cork screw while the rest is straight. The hand guard is also triangular in shape and allows the full extent of the cork screw to be seen by anyone who looks at it. The swords hilt is purple in color and the sheathe is red, likely a kick back to Tsume's eyes. The blade is slightly discolored as if it has been rusted, but this is well is only because of Ein's recent awakening and only symbolizes Ein's lost power.
Shikai
Activation Phrase: Rise from the Darkness
Appearance:
When released Shintan Tsume, takes the form of two dark guanlets that turn Ein's hands into claws and have spikes running down to the forearm like the dragon's tail. The claws themselves form black and each finger is just like the claws on the dragon, sharp as razors and able to penetrate the flesh easily. At the center of the palms is a small outline in red to each finger and it pulsates in different colors depending on Ein's mood, but this only effects the power of his attacks as the more raw the emotion the greater the power.
Abilities:
Malicious Aurora: Creates a purple outline of Shintan Tsume's dragon claws which add length and power to Ein's attacks. The effective added range by the claws is about two feet and the increased amount of power condenses his reitsu higher than his normal output which allowing for more slashing power.. Malicious aura can only be activated for three posts at a time and is only usable two to three times in a battle. Each usage requires ten percent of Ein's total reitsu.
(40 seconds)
Malicious Borealis: Creates a purple outline of Shintan Tsume's entire body around Ein without his wings. This increases his power and condenses the reitsu around him allowing for better slicing. During this state it is harder to hurt Ein as the outline around him acts as a thin barrier which slows down blows going through, but puts up little resistance and can be easily punctured. Ein will also enter a sort of frenzy in which he will strike out randomly and rapidly. Using Borealis requires Ein to sacriface 20% of his total reitsu and can only be used once per battle and last for two posts after its initial creation. (30seconds) (Borelias does add Tsume's tail which is only about a foot and a third long)
These two powers can not be activated at the same time.

Inner Hollow
Appearance:
Ein's inner hollow like most inner hollows does not have a formal name and has told Ein a dozen different names to call him by, but Ein refers to him mostly as just Ite (lit Shooter) Ite's appearance is that of a run down cowboy. He is usually dressed in a heavy brown jacket with blue jeans and some kind of boots that appear to be made of some unearthly animal. On top of his entire outfit is a large ten gallon hat with several holes in the rim, which he likes to pull of his eyes during battle. Ein's inner hollow does not wear a shirt underneath this and his hollow hole can be seen squarely in the center of his chest as a normal hole. Unlike most hollows Ite's skin is tannish, but his face is still the same pale shade. Ite is a very laid back hollow and appears not to care about fighting that much, he spends most of his time inside of the castle in Ein's mind avoiding Tsume as he really doesn't want to kill it nor does he want it to kill him. Whenever Ein enters his own mind Ite is always the first one to greet him and will usually challenge him to a card game or some mental game for control of the body. Ein normally refuses.
Level Of Control: Phase 1 though still has bouts with his Hollow for control in which it will manifest itself in several unusual ways. First, it will force the hollow mask completely back onto Ein, though this one appears to be more sunken toward the face and with a number of protrusions sticking out around the sides. During the time that his hollow is in control, bright flashes of red light come out of the holes where his eyes are supposed to be.
Hollow Abilites:
Cero:: High-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers. Ein fires his cero from his finger tips, usually his right pointer. When the hollow is in full control of Ein's body it uses both index fingers and mimics firing a flintlock pistol or revolver. His Ceros are a silver grey color and are focused in an x shape.
Shatter Cero: Only Usable during Full Hollow Control until Ein reachs Stage Two Control: Fires a larger than normal cero that after two seconds of travel splits into twenty smaller ceros that strike in a more condensed area but with less strength. Costs double the amount of a normal cero and requires seven seconds to charge.
Bala Cero: Fires a high powered energy blast that is twenty times smaller than a normal cero, but has compressed all of the power of a normal one into it, greatly increasing its piercing ability and speed. Costs triple the amount of a normal cero.

Shinigami Files
File: 19F4G7Q1VZ
Subject: Vizard Ein Thane: Former Vice Captain of Squad 2
Current Location: Unknown
Threat to Seireiti: Possible threat is under surveillance
Last known location: Twenty Miles South of Tokyo

Zanpakuto
General
Name: Shintan Tsume
Spirit Description:
www.deviantart.com/download/47276994/black_dragon_attack_by_el_grimlock.jpg <<== SHRINK THIS DAMMIT - Goldenkitten
