After many years my doctors have decided that my condition is no longer manageable via medicinal means and minor surgical procedures. Though I'm unaware of when it will happen as I'll first have to do some planning with the surgeon and go through a few more exploratory surgeries to decide what exactly will be done we're now looking at a major procedure, likely a illeostomy or possibly even a colectomy. This means probably starting within the next month, but definitely by the end of the year, I'll probably be disappearing off to the hospital for short periods; culminating in what I imagine will be another lengthy visit and recovery.
At this point I've no real idea of when it will begin or what it will comprise but I figured I'd alert you now before I dropped off the map at some point in the future.

Sounds tough. I know this seems like a big one compared to the others, but the most I can say is the same as always: good luck, man, I really hope everything goes more than well.

Still don't know exactly when it will be, saw surgeon today. Will be as soon as next week, but without a doubt it will be by the end of the month. More importantly I found out the recovery time is in excess of four weeks, I doubt I'll be gone that WHOLE time, but I imagine a week in the hospital plus probably a week of being stuck in bed. Trust me when I say though, this will suck more for me.

Don't worry about us (I know you won't ), your health is far more important than a few bits of digital letters, so take your time and good luck!
