"I'm well aware of My own Reiatsu, Kovath. Please, Don't patronize me." Reks replied to Kovath's comment. he then turned to focus on the Target in front of him. "What now, Zan?" Reks asked his Zanpakuto mentally.
"Well, young one, first you must learn how to attack. We'll increase the skills of your offensive Kido first. Practice the White Lightening Kido until you've mastered it, then we'll move on to binding." his Zanpakuto replied.
Reks began to focus his Kido into his left index finger and pointed it at the target. He felt some static build up on the tip of his finger, but nothing happened other than that.

"I'm fine, Kovath. I'll do things my own way. I'm a fifth year student, even though my skills don't show it. I've been a Slacker my whole life up to this point. I've never really used my Kido a lot. I can barely perform the level one Destruction and Binding Kido techniques. This day was only a warm-up as far as I'm concerned. I'm not going to stop until I master this Technique. I have made some progress, you know....." Reks states as he points a very sore finger at the dummy and manages to send a spark of white electricity six inches from his finger.
"You can go if you want, but I'm going to continue practicing. My mind is stressed from frustration, and my finger is sore, but since my skill in Kido is lacking I haven't really used enough of my kido to really have an effect on my stamina. I prefer to work alone anyway, sorry."
Reks the pointed his right finger at the target instead of his left. He concentrated his Kido there and prepared to fire it out. This time the arc of the small bolt reached almost a foot and a half away from his finger. "See, my other finger was just too sore to produce the full effect of my current potential....even if that isn't much."

"Thank you, kovath. I expect I'll see you here again tomorrow then, eh? If I'm not awake when you get here then wake me up, ok?" Reks Replied to Kovath before he could leave. Reks then turned back to the dummy and began to focus his energy into his finger again. This time he had a bit more control over the energy. He could feel it getting stronger at a faster pace than before. Soon enough he felt he had enough power built up. He released the energy and a large bolt fired from his finger. This time it actually managed to reach the target with surprising speed, but it had taken him so long to build up the power that it would have been nearly useless in a battle.
It was time for another attempt, but this time he had to work harder. He began to focus everything on his energy. Craming every ounce he could muster as fast as possible into his finger. His finger began to hurt from the amount of energy it contained. This wasn't because he had massive amounts of energy, it was just due to the fact that he hadn't used his energy much, so the lack of training made it more difficult to train now.
A moment later he fired another bolt of white lightening at the target. this one actually burned a small hole in the target, and was quicker than the previous one, but not by enough for it to really matter if he was in combat. "Okay, Zan, I've made some progress, but i'm hitting a bump in the road. What do I do now? I need to gather energy faster." Reks asked his Zanpakuto as he made another futile attempt at charging faster than before.
"Well, young one, the only way you'll increase your speed is with much practice. Gathering power is the easy part. Getting it quickly is what's difficult. Now, keep trying. I know you can do it. I have faith in you." His Zanpakuto replied.
Reks knew he was never the type to train before, so he was dreading tomorrow. He knew his whole body would ache, especially his fingers. He had to persevere though. It was likely that his brother would be alive for another four days at least, so he expected he had that much time at the maximum.
