Hollow Hunt

First off, Torre, the Tres Espada, was ordered by her superiors to go to the living world and abduct a handful of students from Soul Society on a training mission, doing so she owned the Lietenant of Squad 11 assigned to overlook the training mission and made off with the students Dante, Namida, and Takeshi.

Shinigami Hunt / Conviction: A Captain's Meeting.

Simultaneously, Zetsumei and Asmodeus, the Dos Espada and Uno Espada invaded Soul Society itself and attacked Rukongai as a diversion. Then there was a Captain's Meeting to assess the situation, and they came up with a plan to get the hostages back. Captain Saigotschuu Yun of Squad Ten reveals that he had secretly constructed a massive tower teleport into Hueco Mundo and get chewed out at by an angry Commander General but then agrees to let Yun along with fellow captains Matano Nekomi of Squad 11 and Minoru Daichi of Squad 12 use it to infiltrate Hueco Mundo.

For The Fallen

Once there, Minoru being the genius he is, managed to open a Senkaimon gate outside of Las Noches (which is normally impossible because Senkaimon gates usually only connect Earth to Soul Society but Minoru is just that awesome, and yes, I am narcissistic) and Soul Society invaded Hueco Mundo and Captains set out to fightthe Espada.

Just prior, Calixta, the new ruler of Las Noches following her brother's disappearance orders the execution of Torre. Meanwhile, Torre, who had originally abducted the children against her own will by orders of the Arrancar King who had just mysteriously disappeared while she was in the process of carrying out her mission, decided she'd best repay her mistakes and help the kidnapped teenagers escape. During this escape she was accompanied by Umbra, the Cuatro Espada, Jessica, a numeros, and Mr Snugglebottoms, Torre's pet cat Hollow.

Torre is attacked by a mysterious Arrancar named Death who surpasses strength of any of the Espada but she manages to get away with only minor injuries. Umbra is attacked by Zetsumei and defeated after a close battle, but is saved by Torre who finishes off Zetsumei before he can kill the defeated Umbra, who has pulled a Nel Tu and via severe head trauma reverted into a child. At the same time Jessica is fighting off a group of mysterious arrancar assassins who are different from the Exequias, and with the help of Snugglebottoms, who is actually named Akabane and is Torre's Fraccion, defeats the assassins.

Then Asmodeus retreats from his battle against Yun and Nekomi to fight Torre, and other Captains and Espada start wrapping up their fights. As Torre and Asmodeus have their epic fight, more of these Super Arrancar like Death show up all over Las Noches and introduce themselves as a group called Horror Vacui and confront various major characters.

And now we are awaiting further developments, I hope that clears things up so far.

On the flip side I am quite annoyed that a year of RP'ing and several novels worth of text was able to be wrapped up into a nice little 3-part/6-paragraph gift...=_o...really puts all that time into an annoyingly “Was that just a waste of time?” cynical perspective.

And its always worth it. It's what happens in the middle that matters, anyway.
And just remember, the whole Bleach series can be summerized in a similar way, and people still love it. ;P
