Was completely ignoring him looking for his squad 11 mates and attacking them like a complete imbecile he was always told he was. He laughed after being all the lowest ranks and the goes over to a tree and settle against it for a long long nap.
(I character isn’t stupid it was for the sake of the RP.) The day fades away to him as he falls into a deep sleep snoring loudly against a tree his Zanpakuto saying one final word to end the conversation …..I told you, you imbecile. The sword sighs and settles as his Wielder sleeps.

Overlooking the entire experiment, or skirmish, (what it was a matter of perspective depending on which involved person you asked,) was a well-known being of high stature in Soul Society. The captain of Squad 12, and therefore Kazue's immediate superior officer, Captain Daichi, had decided to keep a curious eye on what sorts of interesting experiments his trusted minions, I mean subordinates, were doing on their free time. Not knowing what his Vice-captain was up to really took a bite out of Minoru, and he was incredibly curious as to what genius device the young subordinate came up with. The fact he was risking his own safety by confronting a ruffian from Squad 11 to test his creation was very respectable in the eyes of the Squad 12 Captain.
He oversaw Kazue avoiding the charging Squad 11 juggernaut, but knew not to step in seeing as he was avoiding any major damage, it wasn't until Zaraka had used a high-level hado spell like Abolishing Flames that Minoru even was concerned about his second-in-command's well-being. It was an honest surprise that someone from Squad 11 would be so proficient in Kido, wasn't one of their unspoken rules to never stoop to such low-standards as to use unmanly methods of battle? But then again, giant fireballs could also be considered manly, so one would suppose that perhaps that some hado was acceptable as long as it was only used in moderation.
And then there was that box Kazue had made. It appeared to be some sort of amplifier for his Quincy-based abilities at first glance, given the change in his arrow's color and its increased speed, but upon impact, it appeared to not be a weapon in the least bit, more so a tool for improving the fighting capabilities of a target judging on the explosive increase of Zaraka's strength, speed, and the size of his fire attacks. Truly amazing the potential of this tool, incredible to think of what else might be capable by utilizing the powers of a Quincy instead of just that of a Shinigami. Science was truly wonderful.
When Zaraka had wandered off, probably in search of stronger foes with his temporarily increased power, Minoru stopped hiding his presence and approached his Vice-captain casually.
"That's quite the interesting device you put on there, Kazue. Do you have a name for that new toy yet?"

Kazue observed as Zaraka attempted to find a new opponent, but collapsed against a tree and began snoring peacefully. Upon waking, the Shinigami would have no remnants of the massive power boost. In fact, if anything the entire confrontation would probably feel like a dream. "It would seem that I have a lot of work to do..."
As he turned around to head back to lab to make some modifications, he was greeted by none other then his own captain. "Minoru-taichou! So you were watching?" the Vice Captain smirked. "I don't have a name for it yet...but it isn't finished either..."
The Shinigami took the device in his hands as his bow vanished. "It would seem that the burst in strength, stamina, and overall ability is short lived...Not only that but it drains your energy so you'll be asleep by the time it wears off..." Kazue crossed his arms thinking hard. "With that power, he could easily hold his own against a Captain...maybe not defeat the captain but certainly not be completely devastated by one either. The problem is increasing the time frame the boost will remain active... The theory is, it supercharged the reishi within the blood stream and muscles, as well as infusing the adrenaline hormone with additional reishi. But I can't keep the charge sustained without a continuous stream."

A small glimmer of amusement sprouted from Minoru as he was addressed by his Vice-captain so formally, he almost considered on the spot imitating what might have been a typical response of Kazue had he been addressed so similarly by a subordinate, somthing along the lines of 'that's Daichi-taichou to you 2nd seat' but he let it slide like it was nothing, unlike how a more formal captain might have acted.
"It was quite the risky move testing an incomplete invention on someone like that, who knows what might have happened had he still came at you, or if he went out of control and went on a rampage before crashing."
Indeed, what the Vice-captain did was very risky, both to himself and also to anyone else Zaraka might have decided to try his temporary power-boost on, Minoru was surprised Kazue would be so bold and that impressed the bimillennial-old captain. Based on the short description about how the unnamed device operated, Minoru's greyish-blue eyes were instantly drawn to the black Senrei glove on Kazue's hand. Everything he just heard sounded like the effects of a Quincy being powered up by removing a Senrei glove, albeit the drain afterwards not being a permanent rejection of reishi that would otherwise be known as a Quincy loosing his or her powers.
The idea behind the effect, while not original in its concept (whether or not Kazue was actually aware of the fact,) was never before attempted to be applied in a way that would power a separate individual asides from oneself. While very dangerous, potentially able to cause serious problems if abused irresponsibly, the basis of the idea was very remarkable to say the least, and had potential to be put to great use.
"Perhaps," Minoru began saying, taking a very brief pause, "perhaps the issue is not maintaining a continuous stream, but prolonging the effects over a longer period of time. The instantaneous increase of reishi is able to burn off quickly and leaves the subject suddenly drained, if the enhanced boost was not so sudden, but instead extended over a longer period with a more gradual increase in strength, the body could have more time to gradually handle the growth and burn-off of energy at a more stable rate, preventing the crash."
If this ability to increase another's power was put to proper use, Minoru speculated that perhaps it would enable for an overall more effective fighting force, able to become stronger in the face of a dangerous, more powerful opponent, without running the risk of it cutting short too soon and putting the depleted soldier at risk. If Kazue was to improve this technology in his hands, then maybe other members of Squad Twelve would be able to carry out more dangerous missions and broaden their horizons for an overall more effective division.
"If you can make that device more effective, do you think it would be able to be put to use safely in battle for our less powerful members to be able to compare with more combat-focused divisions?"

The ideas that flowed from his captain's mind was simply staggering. How had Kazue not thought of that before? "Yes, it was risky...but. The only way to get an effective test." The Vice Captain paused as he pondered Minoru's thoughts. "It seems like it would work...If I alter the frequency that the amplifier itself responds too, and change the Reishi node to a Reietsu node...I should be able to have it be a gradual increase rather then a sudden burst."
Kazue concentrated hard at the specific details of the device. "The wiring uses an enhanced casing...if I use a Sekkiseki laced casing...I may be able to decrease the immediate flow of energy with that as well..." Kazue held the device in front of him, gazing at it with a look of glee. One of the few inventions he wasn't actually making with himself in mind he was quite proud of the work he had done on it so far.
Then the question that Kazue had been waiting for his captain to ask was stated. "It shouldn't be a problem, the problem is finding an alternative conduit. Mass producing these could be a problem, I doubt we could have more then a dozen made over the next year or two even. I've been working on this for several months now. Today was the first real field test I was able to perform and the results were definitely outstanding...However." the Vice Captain paused briefly. His next words being chosen with care. "If...I can perfect the device, and find an alternative conduit than my zanpakuto...Yes, I believe it would be possible to amplify our weaker members abilities to the point where we could rival division seven or eleven even in battle prowess...But don't quote me on that, I still have a lot of work and testing to do on it."
Kazue grinned suddenly. "I also need to come up with a good name for it don't I? I wonder if Hana has any ideas...He's usually good with nicknames..." Only his Captain has, and will ever hear Kazue praise the third seat. In reality...Kazue LIKED his nickname, even if he didn't show it. "Regardless...I should probably head back to the lab and consult him on it, and start making the necessary modifications."
