((I'm so sorry for how long this took. It's sorta crappy, but here it is))
A sudden spike of reiatsu rent the heavy air of the damp sewer, and Masaru's eyes snapped open in surprise, his eyebrows slanting. Why? His lips pressed together in a thin line as he took a few measured steps in the direction of Azerin's location. Something wasn't right... it started in the nape of his neck, this horrid rattling sensation... like being electrocuted. That reiatsu...
He stopped dead, bringing a trembling hand to his forehead, pressing his fingertips hard against his skull, as though he could drive the memory from his mind. It disturbed him to relive it all in that short instant. It rushed through his mind incredibly fast, like the snap of a person's fingers. Back then time stood so still, as though he'd never escape that moment, and yet in the future it revisited him as a sideshow, a whirlwind of images and feelings... all because of the painful buzz Masaru felt, recognized, in Azerin's reiatsu.
He wanted out. He wanted to just escape the sewers and steal away into the friendly shadows of the real world where he was not seen, where thousands of glances could drift right through him. But he couldn't, he was here, he was needed. With a heavy sigh, Masaru drew his dagger-like zanpakutou, his eyes narrowing. What was he waiting for?
Just as soon as it had come, the spirit force dropped, and Masaru swore under his breath before sprinting in Azerins direction, mentally kicking himself in the ass for hesitating as long as he did. As he approached the area, he felt the presence of several other shinigami, including the well-controlled reiatsu of Shimizu Atsue, the vice captain of division 4. He changed his course to meet hers, hoping that she could tell him any new information on the runaway.
Soon he heard her quiet footsteps in the distance, and he flash stepped, appearing beside her. He met her pace and ran with her, his Zanpakutou held firmly at his side, “Did you see him, Shimizu?” He stared down at her, his expression heavy. It frightened him that squad 4 was already involved.

Yun had been trudging along the waterway at a slow speed but through his excellent tracking abilities staying on Azerin mentally so that he did nothing without him knowing, the task was made easier thanks to how erratic and obviously split second his followers movements were. He was able to locate the other shinigami ahead of Azerin as they were standing relatively still and so even through the stone their signatures remained constant, he didn’t know how soon they would run into each other as Azerins signature was flickering from location to location but he had a feeling it would be soon, silently he wondered what would happen. Inside Tranquility and Chaos had been yapping back and forth but he noted that Peace was remaining rather silent, this was usually a good sign she had noticed something worth listening too.
“What is it Peace?”
“We all felt the reiatsu right?” she spoke apprehensively.
“Yes, we already confirmed that…what of it?”
“Well what signs have these individuals usually shown in the past?”
“…aggression, anger, no proper considerations…a general lack of grasping the rules.”
“Exactly.”
“Damnation.”
Yun took off in the last direction he had felt Azerins reiatsu cursing under his breath that he had let the man get so far ahead, he faltered in the initial moments and now it was going to cost them. There had been similar situations in the past, people had died and the one time someone of Yuns stature had been there to stop it before it had begun his actions had faltered as well. This wasn’t good, he already felt the deathly reiatsu flaring up ahead and knowing Azerin well enough was quite aware this was not his reiatsu but rather the thing that tagged alongside him, so his theory was proven, not that he hadn’t known that the moment his zanpaktou had also noticed but now there could be no doubt. Unfortunately he had been a distance behind and he knew as he felt the reiatsu lash out and then fade away that he was already too late, Azerin once more left the scene but by now Yun had closed the gap and was putting his entire mind into keeping track of him. He felt several others pass by after him and unlike the other nobodies dotting the surface and spread through the sewers he knew who these two were.
“Um…wall.” was all Chaos said as they headed directly for a wall upon which about twenty feet through laid the corridor the others had gone through.
“I know…the next juncture is too far.
“Well fu-”
But Chaos was drained out even in Yuns mind as the explosive noise of Yun impacting the wall with his outturned palm sent ripples of noise and power through the enclosed space. Enormous amounts of reiatsu were pumped into the structure and even this powerful stone could not stand as the thick wall blew outward into the next corridor, slamming against the next wall as Yun came sailing through. He landed on the walkway on this side and his eyes scanned the area, he saw nothing but a few signs of battle and after feeling Shimizu he came to the conclusion 4th Squad must already have removed whoever had been injured…or worse, he thought spotting a patch of black blood in the darkness. Yun could sense the others despite their careful attempts at masking their power but above all he felt Azerin. He released several pulses of reiatsu, unafraid of revealing his position at this point as they raced through the system burning a map of the surrounding tunnels in his mind as well as the few people around. He turned toward the nearest exit and blasted off once more shunpo’ing down the corridor so quickly he actually began to create a bit of suction down the tunnel shafts. It took him barely five seconds to pass by Masaru and Shimizu, they seemed to be trying to figure out which way to go.
“Follow…” Was all he said as he blew past them.
Knowing him Masaru would know that Yun had senses that few could rival and if anyone could know where Azerin was in this dank hole in the ground it was him. He sped off and rounded the next corner, not really watching to see if the two others followed him, the singular goal of catching Azerin burning in his mind as he reached inside his coat and slowly drew Oouruzan-boukon.

News traveled like wildfire across Soul Society, ironically it wasn’t any one with power that spread the news but low ranking shinigami, most naturally the battle division and Hizeme’s own division that spread the news faster than others, Hizeme was drinking a cup of tea when the ruckus started. His office was relatively removed from the main hallways and corridors, but that didn’t stop two officers from bursting in while he enjoyed the sun and tea. In all fairness Hizeme didn’t keep up with his division, it was always changing, new people, old people, new people, old people, so logically Hizeme gave up trying to learn there names.
The two that entered were higher up ranked officers, but lower than 3rd seat, which was Hizeme’s cut off for remembering names. On a normal day the vice-captain would burst through his door with this news, but only later did Hizeme learn that the vice captain was already handling the situation at the two farthest gates. Setting his cup down Hizeme looked up at the both of them a brief smile crossed his face as the two sputtered the news at the same time
*There is a run away shinigami* *A shinigami is trying to escape* * There is a rouge shinigami in the sewers* * Several Captains are already on the route* * It is requested that Captains should assist if possible*
Hizeme’s voice rang out, stern, cold and tired, “Enough, silent both of you; since so many captains are involved, I highly doubt this shinigami will get very far, in fact I doubt he will even make it to the gates, now any else gentlemen… errrm gentleman and woman” Hizeme didn’t notice the female at first, a sad fortune indeed because she was quite cute.
Both of them replied at the same time *Fourth Division is involved, several injured, the target is moving towards the gates as we speak*
For once in a great while, Hizeme actually felt nervous, in all of his time, runners have never made it as far as his pearly gates, but this sounded a bit serious, scoffed at yes, but taken lightly no. Hizeme ran over a few objectives in his mind, which gate would the fool choose, which section is he currently in, where could he possibly be going, but he settled on a course of action and decided that it was time to stick with it.
“Alright here is what is going to happen, one of you will find the vice-captain and tell him to take the regular gates as for myself I shall take the gate the shinigami is currently headed in, then that person will stay with the vice captain no matter what there orders, the second one will go to the gate monitoring center and rely this message “All Gate Watchers are to immediately secure all gates, no one is to enter or exit without my direct authority, as for everyone on the outside stand by at the gates for further instructions” Now once that happens stay at the monitoring center and await further instructions” The two shinigami looked at each other and the female took off down the hall, while the male stayed in the room for a moment before taking off, Hizeme sighed as the cute shinigami didn’t pick to stay in the monitoring center.
A brisk walk down the hall leads him to the outside, as he left he was informed off all the passing details, where currently the captains were heading, giving Hizeme a general idea of which way to go,; selfish he knew, but Hizeme wanted to meet this shinigami who roused him from his tea, and caused him to actually think about how to set up, clever indeed or foolish, but either way it was certain that he wasn’t going to get past those gates without a broken limb.
Hizeme never believed in luck, everything has a purpose, but lucky for him his division center was close to the senkaimon gate, which was where the shinigami was headed. He crested a small hill and could see the gate ahead, no one was scrabling or moving, two people were lazily sitting around, one was drinking something; Hizeme knew these were his division members to say the least; his voice now returned to its normal bemused tone “It looks like I am early for the party” he said as he made his way towards the gate, the shinigami on guard jumped to salute; stopping he turned on his heels and looked around, he continued to survey the area before realizing a most grevious error “Shit, why on earth didn’t I bring a chair, dam my early pretext” his voice wasn’t angry, annoyed, he should have brought a chair, he didn’t want to stand until the problem was solved, that could take hours in those tunnels, perhaps days if the man is clever enough. A small preliminary report was in his hand, he had taken it as he left the division, just basic information about who the man was, what division, what rank etc etc… recently demoted interesting…. One of Captain Yun’s officers… well this shall be entertaining indeed. A cool breeze filled the air, it blew at his hair, like a haunting melody it whipped and twisted the air around it, Hizeme shivered, the wind told him it’s secrets, “Can you feel them” it whispered, “Something comes this way, are you ready?” as he blew across his face, and as abruptly as it came it left without even a kiss goodbye. Hizeme stood alone, and waited, for what exactly he didn’t know, but he hoped it was fate.
(Note/OCC: the wind isn’t actually talking; just Hizeme’s way of sensing spiritual presences and power outputs, as well as normal stuff, just thought it gave it a nice touch, and thanks to GK, you saved me a whole lot of waiting)

Azerin was running as fast as he could through the dwindling corridors of the sewers, now he was going in as straight a path as possible, reason might have been how he looked like if he was in a trance. Over and over in his head he tried to deny the killing of one of his own, he didnt do it! No...
He was snapped out of his thinking however when he heard a loud boom echoing through the sewers as Yun impacted the wall some ways back. Azerin could clearly feel the reiatsu he unleashed when he made a new tunnel for himself, although he wasnt sure of what it meant. Was Yun on his tail and taking large shortcuts by running through the walls of the sewers? How someone could even do that without slowing down was amazing enough, but how he could track him so well in the sewers didnt help to lower the stress he had been feeling for the past hour, or was it two? He couldent tell.
Azerin realized the situation became even more dire when Yun released his reiatsu in large pulses that coarsed through the sewers, he could feel several passing by him and he had a general idea of what they were used for... Crap...
Realizing the urgency of the situation Azerin began to run even faster, pushing himself beyond his limits while using his shadow walk ability whenever possible, to skip areas of twenty to fourty meters depending on the layout of the tunnel ahead of him, and the few sources of light around.
After comming to yet another crossway Azerin took a sharp right, knowing that the Senkai Gates should be in that direction. He was getting closer, he could feel it, but there was still several problems around him, biggest was probably his captain who was closing in, slowly but surely, despite his almost constant shadow walking. Second was another large reiatsu ahead of him, probably near the gates themselves... That was both good and bad, good because it gave him a place to focus at, bad because that could be the end of his escape.
'Damn it... This never looked good from the start but now its even worse... Still...' Images of the dead shinigami collapsing on his outstretched left arm, the second one he had almost directly killed... 'No! I didnt... It was not me...' While still running Azerin put his right hand over his face, the hollow had been right...
In his blind running Azerin had almost not noticed the young Shinigami that was just a few meters ahead of him, who had now drawn his zanpakutou, and while obviously scared waited for him to get closer, readying to strike at him. 'Not again! Even if I have to hurt them I wont let the hollow make me kill again!' Azerin thought, determined to not let the hollow take controll.
As the young Shinigami thrust at him with his sword Azerin jumped to the side, his right foot meeting with the tunnel wall, and as he kicked off he went into a roundhouse kick that hit the shinigami on the side of the boys face with his left foot, making him fall over, apparently unconcious. As he landed on his feet Azerin sighed, he didnt like what he was doing, but he had little choice.
The sound of something slowly gliding against the floor caught his attention as he turned around and noticed the Shinigami's unconcious body was starting to fall into the sewer canal. "Crap!" Azerin yelled as he threw himself forward, grabbing the shinigami's wrist just as the rest of the body plunged into the stinking water. 'Close call... Well I really dont have time for this...' Azerin thought as he pulled the Shinigami up on the walkway, he was soaked, but atleast he was alive.
And with that Azerin rushed off once more, going as fast as he possibly could and shadow walking whenever possible. He knew Yun would be on his tail by now, so he had to hurry even more now, though he hoped the shinigami he had knocked unconcious would be some form of distraction.
EDIT: Added some more since GK kicked me in the butt for being lazy xD
Just a little more... He was almost by the gates, he knew it as he could feel the large mass of reiatsu just a short distance ahead of him. Anticipating the person ahead of him to try and stop him Azerin drew his zanpakutou with his right hand, holding it at his side. His left arm was still mostly covered in now bandages that was drenched in now dried blood, but the carapace like skin didnt show too much.
Azerin knew he had no chance to sneak past or simply rush past the person ahead, his or her reiatsu was way too high for that, but there was a possibility he could fool the person, use his ability to get past and that way make it to the gate... It was worth a try...
'I should be there... Now.' Azerin thought, and at that pushed away with his legs against the grounds, sending him flying upwards, raising his sword at the same time. Another explosion of dust and debris was sent up into the air, this time in the plaza where the senkai gates were standing. And as the dust cleared Azerin could be seen standing just by the hole.
Azerin could clearly see the captain standing by the gate infront of him, this was worse than he had thought... If it had been a vice-captain he could probably have gotten through without too much trouble, but a captain... He needed to play this smart.
As was customary for him he took note of all larger shadows in the vicinity, and just a few seconds after first getting up from the sewers he walked to the side, now standing in a rather large shadow, though he was also facing the captain directly, his Zanpakutou infront of him in a ready position. He just hoped the captain would act and try to get to him, otherwise this would not work out very well...

Masaru felt the tinge of familiar reiatsu in the distance followed by an earth shattering crash that seemed to reverberate throughout the tunnels. His eyes snapped open in shock and his fingers gripped the handle of his zanpakuto like a vise until his knuckles went white. He recognized the Shinigami as Yun, 10th squad Captain.... Azerin's Captain. He felt the hairs on his arms and neck stand on end. What the hell was that?! He looked over his shoulder just in time to see the approaching captain, who seemed to be shedding dust and rubble everywhere and Masaru realized in slight horror than Yun had broken down a wall.
He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted by a single word from Yun: Follow. He closed his mouth and picked up the pace, hardly aware of whether Shimizu did the same or not. The seriousness in Yun's voice affected him, and Masaru's eyes narrowed. He did not feel the same pull that Yun seemed to, but Masaru understood. Azerin was one of his own. If one of his squad caused such upheaval, Masaru would feel immensely responsible, though he in no way blamed Yun for what had occurred. Azerin was acting outside Soul Society law... he gave no warning for his action, and so it was reasonable that a good portion of the Gotei was on his trail. It was important that he be contained and questioned. It seemed however, that Azerin was determined as well, determined to evade capture, and such determination to escape could only spell disaster. A cornered beast would sooner attack than surrender, and Masaru very well understood the implications of what they were doing. If Azerin killed anyone... he would be in deep shit and Masaru would in turn feel slightly at fault for chasing him to the point of such action... though -he swallowed the dry lump that had formed in the back of his throat- that sudden burst in reiatsu earlier... Azerin might have already done the unthinkable, which could only mean bad news for the runaway.
As they ran, Masaru felt the gentle throb of reiatsu flowing from the unconscious Shinigami, and Masaru slowed only slightly, wondering if Shimizu would have to abandon the chase and stay with him. This really didn't concern him however; the shinigami seemed alive enough, and they had to keep pushing forward. He picked up the pace again, reassured by Yun's lead. Yun's reiatsu detection was indeed much keener than his, and he could only trust in Yun at this time, although he was beginning to feel Azerin's trail as they pursued. In the distance he could also sense the presence of Hizime, and he suddenly realized that they were practically herding Azerin into a trap.
This discovery made Masaru feel a lot more confident in the capture of Azerin, though he could not help but fear for his safety. Azerin was still a shinigami of the Gotei 13, and Masaru did not wish to see any harm befall him. If it came to that however, Masaru knew he would have to take certain measures and he accepted this, granted he accepted it rather unwillingly. As a captain, Masaru was bound by his duties, as all were.

Atsue hadn’t run on her own for long, for it was only moments before the woman’s senses were bombarded with the reiatsu of several very powerful parties. The first to find his way to her side was the Sixth Division Captain, Takahashi Masaru. As Atsue glanced at him when he had appeared at her side, she noted the strange and somber look on his face. While she hadn’t known him to display a lot of joy or excitement in his features, he seemed more troubled than usual. It seemed to her that there was a lot on his mind, as if something about the situation was deeply troubling for him.
Concern was apparent in her eyes as well, as Atsue was not accustomed to having to haul away the dead from the very heart of Soul Society. It certainly wasn’t an everyday occurrence for a shinigami to lose control and begin slaying comrades. Given all of the powerful forces converging nearby, threatening to crush the very air from the lungs of those who weren’t prepared, things were quickly taking a turn for the worse. The Vice Captain was becoming very concerned that there would be many injuries, or worse, casualties as a result of this dangerous situation.
“No. I haven’t seen him yet,” she responded to the Captain moving at her side. “The companions of a shinigami slain at his hand informed me that he’d gone this way.” Her tone was low and solemn, as she didn’t like to admit to arriving too late to save someone. Atsue was well aware that there would be no possible way for her to save everyone from the icy grip of death, though it was no less upsetting to her when it happened.
The sound of destruction called the Vice Captain’s attention away from her thoughts. It seemed an explosion had occurred not terribly far behind them. Given the volume and direction of the noise, it didn’t seem far from where Atsue had just attended to the injured and dead shinigami a moment ago. Her head had turned and her pace slowed slightly as she considered the possibility of trouble in that area and the fact that her subordinates likely hadn’t yet moved far from there. The signature of the massive reiatsu that followed the impact could only have been Tenth Division Captain Saigotschuu Yun, which gave Atsue some hope that her comrades were still safe, though perhaps startled. Whatever Yun had just done was likely going to require a good deal of clean-up on her Division’s part, she estimated.
It was only a few moments before, as she had expected, Saigotshcuu Yun rushed forward and appeared in front of the pair, Atsue having fallen a bit behind Masaru due to her hesitation at the noise. He ordered that they follow him, which both heeded. Atsue was well aware that Yun would be the most able to track his rogue subordinate, so she obediently did as she was told.
Shortly after the trio had united in pursuit, they came upon another shinigami. Suddenly Atsue found herself torn in her duties. The medic’s senses and experience told her that no serious injury had occurred to the fallen soldier, though she was indeed obligated to make sure and see that he got out of the area safely. With the two captains hot on Azerin’s trail, Atsue quickly determined that she should fall behind and check on the unconscious shinigami.
Just as she began to slow her stride, his eyes fluttered open. Pain was apparent in his face as he raised a dripping wet hand to the reddened bump on the side of his head. He appeared confused for a moment at his injury, whereabouts, and currently soaked condition, though his eyes widened at seeing the two Captains rush by followed by Atsue, coming to a stop before him. It certainly wasn’t a common sight, after all.
Atsue placed a hand on his forehead and sent a burst of her own reiatsu through it, causing the young man’s pain to subside. He had no other obvious injuries, and was able to stand and stare at her in awe. She gave him a quick smile, knowing that he was relatively unharmed and spoke to him as she turned again in the direction she had been heading.
“Please get out of here as quickly as possible. This problem will be taken care of.”
The other shinigami didn’t hesitate to scramble away in the direction of the nearest exit, as he recognized that things had reached a level that was far beyond his capability to handle. Atsue had little concern about him making it out safely, as it was nearly a guaranty, given that the individual responsible for his abrasion was nowhere nearby. Thus, her attention turned again to the hunt in progress.
Atsue suddenly burst into a full sprint after the two Captains who had moved ahead. Once out of sight of the young man she’d ordered out of the sewers, she took a couple of flash steps to make up some lost ground before resuming her sprint. Luckily, her knowledge of these dank halls aided her in catching up quickly. She was well aware of Yun’s position, given his overwhelming reiatsu, and as a result, she no longer bothered masking her own.
She could still feel the presence of many powerful entities nearby. There was no telling how this would end. Atsue’s only hope was that it would result in as little bloodshed as possible. Only time would tell.

OOC: As Hizeme seems to not have any intentions of posting I will controll his character during the remainder of this rp, permission was given by Harmony. I know this might not be how Hizeme would act, but as I'm not sure what he had intentions of saying I will simply not have him talk. And yeah, the post sucks but I wanted to finish this damn thread already.
When Azerin had appeared out of the sewers Hizeme that had waited for him took note of him in a moment, waiting cautiously for the renegade Shinigami to act, but as Azerin stepped sideways for some reason, seemingly going to go around him the captain took action immidiately, judging that this man was no big threat he knew he could easily defeat him without using his zanpakutou. In the blink of an eye Hizeme disappeared from before the gate, only to appear right infront of Azerin, just about to strike.
Azerin himself had been awaiting the captains approach by flashstep, and had focused as much energy he could into his zanpakutou, partially to protect from the first strike, but mostly to shadow walk. Even though he had been ready for the flashstep, someone moving at such speeds was always hard to cope with, but his reflexes kicked in and made him able to lift his sword in time to block the punch from the captain, however the powerfull blow still sent him reeling backwards, yet he remained standing as he shadow then sunk into the large shadow in but a moment, making the captain surprised, however it was too late.
When the captain had turned around to look towards the gate he could clearly see Azerin sliding out from slightly beside the gate, apparently chanting some kind of incantation as he jumped into the large senkai gate. As he turned back to the exit of the gate, Azerin could see Yun appear from outside the sewers. "I'm sorry." Azerin said aloud, yet his voice trembled as he pointed his already raised arm above himself and muttered a quick phrase, sending a blast of reiatsu into the gate, causing the soul society entrance to crumble. Then he was gone.
