Up here, far above the rest of Seireitei where you were closest to heaven it was easy to forget yourself and just let go. It was often deathly quiet aside from the occasional ruckus from below that caused little more than a minor fluctuation in the whining pitch of silence that struck the air. It was especially so today as there was no wind and so as if all time had stopped everything was utterly and completely still. So as it was despite the morbid implications behind the Sokyoku Hill it was still one of the best places to come when you wanted to be alone, wanted time to think or needed to have a private discussion. In Saigotschuu Yun, the 10th Squad Captain's case it was a little bit of each as he stood on the closer end, the side where the winding stairs that lead up to the top of the plateau came out instead of the far end where the Sokyoku itself rest. He stood at the precipice of the tall cliff a couple feet from where the steps exited looking out over the whole of Soul Society that laid out before him with lazy crimson red eyes that gazed across the bridge of his glasses as he let out a light sigh, a more or less silent and still black gargoyle looking at his longtime home. Unlike most captains Yun was not immediately obvious as he did not wear a complete captains robe but instead two strips of white fabric that fell down his back and if there had been a wind would have flailed around in it signified him as such. Still his massive black and red jacket was more than iconic enough for most Shinigami to pick him out immediately.
Yun was not particularly happy with his life, he had been a captain for over two hundred years now but that did not mean he particularly enjoyed the position and lately with all the oddities in the outside world he as the Outer Defenses head was even busier than usual. He would have given anything to go back to how life was before he had agreed to take the position when the Commander General had offered it but that was in the past. So now he sat around, grumbling about how unlucky he was, taking every opportunity he could to get away from everyone else, and yet still forcing himself to take care of whatever happened to be necessary that day. Right now though his thoughts were elsewhere, the one he was waiting for was late and now as always this tall hill reminded him very much of a place from his past. He shuffled around in one of his many coat pockets for a few moments before producing a long plastic toothpick which he placed in the side of his mouth and began to chomp on ceaselessly. He turned around to face away from the edge and proceeded toward the tree line, above which in the distance the Sokyoku's blade could be seen piercing the sky and beyond that the great cross. As he walked forward he pushed his glasses up a bit on his nose using his ring finger his eyes narrowed a bit from the lazy, imprecise glaze he had carried when he had looked over the land to a much more discerning piercing look, regardless he did not look mean so much as determined...of course despite being lazy Yun always looked determined, it was one reason his followers trusted him. As he picked up speed to the tree line the two white strands on his back which carried the tenth squad symbol kicked up and snapped freely through the air, Yun looked skyward for a minute at the terribly bright sun, it was surprisingly so given that it was a warm but not overbearingly hot day.
“You...would have liked it here. Just like you always thought you would.”
He whispered to the wind obviously reminiscing about the place the Sokyoku hill reminded him of.
“No she wouldn't have.” A young, harsh males voice said.
“SO CRUEL CHAOS!!! LEAVE YUN ALONE!!!” Another young boy who had a kindness about him responded.
“Make me you little turd.”
“I...I!!!! YOU BIG POOPY HEAD!!!!”
The sound of fighting went off behind Yun and his serious face dropped for a moment as a stoic almost “this happens every freaking day” look crossed his face for just a moment before a paw dropped over his face, he looked up with his eyes. A striped tabby was without warning sitting on his head and it looked down at him with giant green eyes.
“Good morning Yun.” It said in a young females voice.
“Good morning Peace, you three slept later than usual today.”
“You think I ever sleep with those two around?”
Yun turned around, Peace balancing perfectly above to spot Chaos and Tranquility, Chaos a black kitten with gold eyes and Tranquility a calico with blue rolling in a ball and fighting each other as they often did. They were both spinning around the pedestals that they always “warped” in on whenever they appeared before Yun though they could come and go as they pleased, plus they could just talk telepathically but Yun knew they liked to get out and move around. The three of them were far to restless to stay couped up the whole day. Regardless as quickly as the three of them had appeared they disappeared again, even Peace just simply vanished from his head. He turned back around and continued walking, quite often they would disappear to bicker amongst themselves only to return in a few minutes.
He reached the trees and spun around as he reached the nearest one leaning against it and after proceeding to cross his arms he gave out another long winded sigh wondering where Azerin the one he was waiting for was. Of course he shouldn't have been surprised, something very odd was going on with his previous third seat who had gone through a series of downgrades that had been propositioned by his lieutenant and he had eventually had to go along with now putting him in the tenth seat and even then he was quickly slipping from there. Azerin's quality and skill had been dropping ever since a day not long ago when he had disappeared, he came back quickly enough but when he did so he had lost all drive and seemed to always be sickly and lacking. Yun had of course immediately had him inspected by fourth squad but they could find nothing particularly wrong, he had no doubt something was happening though and that Azerin knew exactly what it was. Yun had been going to great lengths to catch Azerin and whatever he was hiding but the man was proving exceedingly skilled at hiding himself when necessary and pulling one over on Yun himself and the others he had recruited into his little game whenever they tried to figure him out, especially for what at most other times seemed to be effectively an empty shell. Yun was willing to accept that it was just something going on in Azerins personal life but if it was going to keep effecting the Squad itself then it had to be dealt with. That was why he had called Azerin out here today, far from all others, in a place where even the second squad would have trouble avoiding his senses, so that he could ask the man directly and maybe just maybe Azerin would feel comfortable enough to answer.
“Hes an odd one alright.” Peace said inside him.
“You have to be more accepting sometimes, who knows what might be wrong?” Tranquility followed up, he responded to neither, they gave him their opinions on his own thoughts like this often.
Eventually though he closed his eyes, and while he was still completely aware of what was going on around him, every little thing from the birds in the trees to the leaves that occasionally fell from the always dehydrated Sokyuku trees he still managed to fall into a deep rhythmic mediation style rest.
You know Yun, you should be more trusting of people.
Thats how you wind up dead.
Oh please! Not everyone thinks about backstabbing everybody every minute of the day like some people who shall remain unnamed do.
People always have something to hide. Always have something that could incriminate them and something they would die for, kill their friends for, kill their family for... if it meant keeping it a secret. And those are just the “good” people.
You are so full of it. Just try it sometime.
Whatever, if you say so.
Yun's eyes shot open and immediately darted to the stairs that were the only straight entrance to the Sokyuku. He pushed off the tree and brought his arms to his sides walking out away from the tree to the center of the clearing just as the footsteps coming up the stairs became clearly audible to anyone standing around. He put on a half smile, removed the plastic toothpick re-pocketing it and waved a bit.
“I was beginning to wonder if you would come.” He said to Azerin.
“Should kill him, insufferable little prick!” Chaoses voice echoed in his head but Yun just ignored him as he often did.

OOC: Prety crap, hopefully the next post will be better.
Much as always these days Azerin had spent the majority of the day in his own room in the tenth squad quarters, sitting with his legs crossed in the middle of the room, staring into nothing. And he had thought it would end up as one of those days too. A knock on the door made him snap out of his trance and look at the door, he had not even felt the persons reiatsu as he approached, he was begining to lighten up, he needed to be more carefull. "Tenth seat Azerin? I have a message from captain Saigotchuu for you." The male voice behind the door announced before sliping a small letter under the door. "Thank you..." Azerin said to whoever was behind the door in an acted hoarse voice, he wanted to give the impression he was sick, and that was the reason why he almost never left his room, but as he heard the footsteps of the man leave Azerin slowly got up on his feet and walked towards the door, bending down to pick up the letter.
After taking the letter he took up a small knife from a desk at the wall opposite of the door, using it to open the letter, he then drew it out and read it slowly. So... The captain wanted to meet him on the Soukyoku hill... He could guess the reason, he didnt have to be a genius to figure out it had to do with his current "condition". What was he going to do? He wasnt sure he could lie to his captains face about it, he didnt even want to, but he was aware that Yun would probably do what is "right" and report it to the commander general if Azerin told him. Well he couldent deny a direct order to go see him, he would just have to figure a way out on his own.
Azerin let go off the letter, then walked up to the door and pulled his hood up his head before opening the door, the hood protecting his face from the sudden glare of the sun, he still had to adjust his eyes a little due to the reflection of the light in the surrounding area though, and after a few seconds he was slowly walking off towards the stairs that lead to the Soukyoku hill. At first a lot of people had almost admired Azerin for his quick succession through the shinigami ranks, eventualy ending up as third seat of the tenth division, but not more and more people had started to talk behind his back at how useless he was, and even though no one did straight to his face he occasionaly heard two or three shinigami talking amongst themselves only to stop to stare at him as he passed, it made him uncomfortable, but as always he could understand the reason for all of this.
He had enjoyed the view of Soul Society once, but now he just felt empty when he gazed out over the vast Seireitei, with Rukongai off in the distance. At first he could find peace in just standing there and take it all in, but now... He knew that he'd eventualy have to leave, but he was trying to post-pone the innevitable. Sighing deeply Azerin continued onwards towards the stairs, by now he was probably late, not that he cared much anyways. Upon finally reaching the stairs he started to slowly work his way up, while still thinking through what he should do. Most shinigami had their zanpakutou to ask for advice at times like these, but Hitozarai wasnt the talkactive type and he didnt think the shadow had much respect for Azerin to begin with, atleast not now.
After several minutes of climbing the stairs Azerin was about to reach the top, and as he did he could see his captain standing a few meters away from where he would come out. "I was beginning to wonder if you would come" Yun said to him, Azerin bowed to his captain in response. "I'm sorry for being late... I had a lot on my mind." Azerin said in response before taking the last few steps onto the top. "What was it you wanted, Captain?"

((OOC: I am assuming everyone reading has figured out that Chaos is the angry, violence prone one, Peace is the quiet, reserved and neutral one who doesn’t fight and Tranquility is the super happy, naïve and accident prone one. Thus I am not going to put “Chaos said, Tranquility said, etc.” after every one of their lines, only if they are conjoined with comments from Yun himself. Instead I will just point out when it was the kittens speaking and you would not have heard the discussion so it does not cause confusion but instead leave it up to your mind to peace together which one is speaking and how its happening…I think it makes it funnier.))
-------
“Playing dumb…can’t we at least hit him with some sticks?”
“No we cannot.”
“It would be quick, I promise! No more blood than necessary.”
“No.”
The kittens quieted down in the back of Yun’s mind though he had to admit he did see where Chaos was coming from, Azerin had to know why he was out here. Regardless Yun had lived over eight hundred years now and had, had more than enough experience with situations like this. He was no longer quick to jump the gun, judging or orating his thoughts as he did when he was younger and displayed this by staying quiet for a moment as he took a deep breath and proceeded toward Azerin. He would normally have taken some offense to the tone with which his follower had just spoken to him in and at least called him out on it though he wasn’t one to actually reprimand such behavior…he just preferred correct speech, today though he let it slide since he wanted to make the 10th Seat feel welcome and not ostracized.
“I think you know Azerin.”
“Daaaaamn straight” said Chaos.
“Quiet” said peace.
He arrived next to the man and pulled his hand up, placing it on Azerins shoulder and applying pressure as if suggesting he should turn around. When he was finally able to get the man to turn around they were both facing outward, looking over the vast expanse of Soul Society he had been watching just a few minutes before, even then it was just a fraction of the entire society. He wasn’t pulling the man close to him or anything but it was obvious that he had been brought close enough to whisper if Azerin did not feel like talking out loud.
“You know me, I don’t often launch into tirades about Soul Society but I think it may be necessary today. Why do you think we are here in the realm of souls, their bastion if you will?” It was obviously a rhetorical question “For us it is the direct protection of all in the living world whether they are souls or not and of course the destruction of souls and their reforming into pure souls so our world can continue. For Shinigami as a whole it is the protection of the real world, Soul Society and all souls everywhere.
It was rudimentary stuff, all Soul Societies inhabitants knew it and in the Academy all Shinigami had to go into great depth on the subject but he was clearly setting something up.
“Everyone has to try their hardest to make that happen…and Azerin, I don’t judge often but in this case I must say, you are not trying your hardest. I was willing to ignore it at first but you have now slipped farther than I ever imagined and it is not only a concern about you anymore, it is having a direct effect on the Squad as a whole now…and even farther for a Squad of the Gotei 13 to be in constant reorganization and disorder means that the entire Shinigami populace as a whole is in disorder, the populace that must stay a stable foundation for the entire world.”
He let that sit and simmer for a minute and then looked at the man, removing his hand from his shoulder. When he spoke he was no longer speaking in a grand tone, he was done making a speech trying to appeal to good will and now he spoke in a curt, straight to the point fashion that he hoped would hit the nail right on the head.
“Do you know what is being suggested Azerin? It is being suggested that you be permanently relieved of duty until you display a willingness to perform your duties as you have for so long. I don’t want to agree but at this point it is quickly falling out of my hands so I offer you this Azerin. If it is a personal matter you can tell me now, nobody else has to know and you know I never betray confidence, I will not seek to give any answers if you do not want them…but if you can just give me a half decent reason then I will not let them have their way and will wait for you to return as you were before.”
He walked away from the man and then at about five feet out spun on his heel, all his long clothing kicking up for a moment as he raised his hand and pointed at Azerin.
“HOLY FUDGING EPIC!!!” Tranquility yelled.
“So tell me now Azerin and save yourself, what is the issue that has come to trouble your commitment to Soul Society?”

Azerin flinched slightly when Yun told him he should already know the reason, it was true, but he wanted to avoid the subject as much as possible for an obvious reason, atleast it was obvious to him. As Yun walked towards him he couldent help but feel a bit threatened, it was strange, he had never gotten a feeling even similiar to this from Yun's precense... Maybe it was the Hollow that felt threatened by Yun.
Although when Yun placed a hand on his shoulder Azerin felt scared himself, if he had placed it a little closer to the neck he'd have felt the white "carapace" growing out of Azerin's skin, and because of this it took him a while to realise Yun wanted him to turn around, which he did right away. He decided to stay quiet, or rather, he couldent come up with a good way to respond, so he let the captain keep talking, while he understood what Yun was getting at with his "tirade" about Soul Society he knew there was not much he himself could do about his current condition right now, but Yun did not know what was going on inside Azerin's soul.
Azerin couldent help but feel shocked when Yun told him about what apparently had been suggested about him. Permantently remove him from duty? Was it really becomming that bad? At that he lowered his head and looked down at the ground, to think his life would be shattered twice by those damned hollows...
While he had great respect for Yun he had grown to not be very trusting of others recently, he wanted to tell him, to be rid of everything, but he was too scared to take the chance, the fear reflected in his eyes was just as much for the Hollow itself, and for his fellow Shinigami. If they realised what he was becomming, would they simply strike him down without thought or regret?
“So tell me now Azerin and save yourself, what is the issue that has come to trouble your commitment to Soul Society?”
So it was already time to make his decision was it? He had hoped he'd have more time, but he had figured it might come to this now that he had called him up here, yet that did not help him make up his mind about this. A voice in his head told him to tell Yun so that he could help him, another to run away. He was confused and scared, he wanted to trust his captain, but he just couldent bring himself to take the risk. "Save myself...?" Azerin responded slowly, his voice trembling slightly as he then walked up to the edge of the cliff and looked down, his hood was still covering most of his face though. "You wouldent understand... No one would..." He said, silently, almost as if he was talking to himself.

((OOC: sorry for the confusion, I am trying several different ways of identifying the kittens to see which way looks best. This time we try color codes, red for Chaos, Green for Peace and purple for Tranquility.))
“Oh poo-poo on him!”
“For once were in agreement.”
“Watch out something’s wrong.”
“NO KIDDING SHERLOCK!!! See; see? This is why people should listen to me, something’s ALWAYS wrong with him!”
“Hush Chaos! He’s just scared.”
“Probably something wrong with him the day he popped out of his mama, she probably looked at him and went “HOLY HELL WHAT HAVE I DONE?!!!” … and no he’s being devious.”
Yun had been about to respond to Azerin when his face once again fell into a very annoyed look as he just fell silent looking into space. This was not uncommon and though he never mentioned it almost everyone in tenth squad was aware of these little silent periods that usually ended with him screaming at nobody in particular. Most of his squad had come to the obvious conclusion that he had been graced with a rather annoying and talkative Zanpaktou that had to be told to shut up…every five minutes…every day… if he ever wanted to hear anything correctly. The kittens kept up their ongoing conversation for a few more seconds before Yun chimed in quietly without looking toward Azerin but instead the sky.
“Quiet please.”
“But seriously now, sit-um down and string-um up that’s the way we did it in my day!”
“YOUR DAY?!!! WE ARE THE SAME AGE!!!”
“Me your age? Please little boy, don’t be insulting.
“You two are particularly annoying today…”
“ME?!! WHY Y-”
In the meantime Yun’s brow had furrowed and he had begun tapping his foot like an impatient parent. The Kittens had a way of pulling the seriousness out of any situation and now his concern for Azerin had dropped for a moment in his aura of pure annoyance. He finally broke as Chaos was saying something about taking the world over with muffins.
“IF YOU THREE DON’T SHUT UP I AM GOING TO COME IN THERE AND BEAT YOU WITH A FISH STICK OF DOOM UNTIL LITTLE KITTEN JUICES OOZE OUT YOUR EYESOCKETS!!!”
Everything went suddenly and quite eerily quiet on the hill once more though of course to everyone else but Yun it would have been that way anyhow. He returned his attention to Azerin and took another breath, he did this often but especially when he was having to deal with someone’s emotional situations, he could be nice enough of course but as far as actual emotions went he had always been a bit lacking so he could not completely understand all situations. Regardless he had to agree with his councilors, there was something very abnormal going on here and he was beginning to grasp that it might not be as simple as personal people bound issues. Sure it might not have been comfortable if it had been such but he doubted Azerin would have shown such resistance, no in his long years he had learned to spot those issues which stood out and this one got his attention.
“Listen I am not claiming that I have all the answers and will know what to do as far as your problem goes, but if you don’t tell me then there’s no possibility of figuring it out anyway. Not only that but you forsake everything you have built here, whatever it is it can’t be so bad as to lose a life you have built and you know me well enough to know I would not betray your confidence unless the situation was dire. So just tell me!”
Even Yun had a limit to his patience as far as these issues went, all his subordinates knew that. He might be willing to put a façade for someone who was just sad or who would at least tell him their problems but when they resisted his already lack of interest in the whole overly emotional world grew out of proportion. He had not reached that point yet but the way his wording was becoming more direct and less fluffy proved he was edging that direction.
“Uh-oh.
A sign of annoyance flickered over his face again, Chaos was particularly talkative today it seemed and it was not helping Yun’s patience with Azerin.
“He is backing up…” Peace had been saying but Chaos had yelled out loud causing Yun to not hear her, he often listened to Peace since she actually gave good advice so he concentrated for a moment and spoke within his mind.
What did you say Peace?

Azerin was staring down at the ground below the cliff, a large part of the district below him covered in its shadow, it was quiet, no wind, no nothing. Then suddenly Yun yelled out at something, making Azerin flinch first, then realising it was one of his captains regular "discussions" with what he had assumed to be the zanpakutou.
Afterwards it became earily quiet again, but after a few seconds Yun took a deep breath, which despite Azerin not looking at him could easily be heard. Then he tried to talk to him again about his problem. Yes, the life he had built in Soul Society was crashing down on him, there was no doubt about it. But if he told them that a Hollow was corrupting his very being what would they do? Shrug it off and just live with it? No.. They would probably give him to the twelth squad... And while he didnt know what Yun considered to be "dire" he had no doubt that his captain would report it as soon as he got to know.
He looked back and watched his captain from the corner of his right eye, he seemed to be pre-occupied with something else, probably his Zanpakutou again. This was most likely his only chance to get away, he'd have to take it. Without wasting any time Azerin leapt off the cliff and started falling towards the ground below, as crazy a maneuver for someone like him it might have seemed he knew exactly what he was doing.
Grabbing ahold of the hilt of his zanpakutou Azerin concentrated for a moment and just as he was about to hit the ground head first he melded into the shadows that covered the ground and just an instant later shot out from the side of the cliff, using his falling speed to increase his momentum. Shortly before hitting the ground he spun around in the air so as to correct himself and then started sliding across the tile floor for almost twenty meters before gliding into another shadow, melding into that as well and appearing in no more than an instant about thirty meters to an alley to his right which ended in a dead-end.
Knowing that his captain was probably not far after him by now Azerin pulled out his Zanpakutou, raised it above himself and gathered up as much reiatsu as he could muster, and then swung it down onto the ground with all of his strength, crushing the stone under it and making a small cloud of smoke rise up over the walls.
While this most certainly brought attention to him, which partialy increased the panic that was building inside him, Azerin was relieved to see he had found the right place as there was now a hole in the ground that lead into the sewers. Not wasting anymore time Azerin jumped down the hole he had created and then dashed off down the tunnels of the sewers, hiding his reiatsu the best he could.

“I said he’s backing up…aaaand now he’s gone.”
“What?!”
But sure enough by the time Yun had returned his attention back toward Azerin his tenth seat had taken a plunge off of the edge of Sokyoku hill. Yun had run to the edge and looked down, he knew immediately what Azerin planned to do as he knew all his followers abilities. Regardless he just stood dumbfounded for a moment as to why the hell he was doing it in the first place, had the man gone completely insane? Yun had picked up that whatever he was hiding was big by his reluctance but this new action through it into a new light, it could very well be something down right evil since running usually implied guilt.
“What the hell is that idiot thinking?!”
“Freaks gonna get it, freaks gonna get it!”
Yun catapulted over the edge straightening out and dropping head first like a rock right about the time Azerin blasted out of the wall outward with enough speed to keep him ahead for a moment. Yun was not entirely certain how he planned to get away but he knew Azerin was not a fool, everyone knew Yun had incredible speed and his follower likely had a trick up his sleeve to get rid of that advantage soon. Yun hit the ground with a bang creating a medium crater as he impacted the tile just long enough to change the direction of his momentum before charging off in the direction Azerin had. He immediately realized that Azerin was using all his skill to shadow jump away and was already out of sight, he immediately vanished only pushing off the ground here and there long enough to build up the speed to shunpo once more. He knew he was just about to catch Azerin when a blast of smoke rose into the air just a few hundred feet ahead, he grimaced, he had a feeling he had just figured out the mans plan and it did not bode well. He was moving so fast that when he had to make the sharp corner to where the explosion had just been two or three of the tiles ripped straight from the ground and went flying through the air.
“Dammit all…this is ridiculous, what has he done?”
Yun slowed down and approached a giant hole into the lower sewers that his tenth seat had just created, he had been right and under all the stone and tile layers of Seireitei his soul signature was already becoming hard to decipher and track. Yun knew what lay below, a hellish maze of tunnels and waterways, the perfect place for Azerin. Why? Because down there where soul signatures were difficult to read and there were many paths it would be just as hard for them to run into each other as anyone else, Azerin was as smart as Yun had figured him to be, he had effectively downplayed Yuns power and speed superiority. With little choice Yun kneeled down before rushing off into the sewers like some fool.
“Black and white net. Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns and belts. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp peak, engulfing land, hidden in the night, sea of clouds, blue line. Form a circle and fly through the heavens.”
Yun began drawing symbols on his left arm with his right and far away in the Tenth division building a certain lieutenant suddenly started receiving messages in their mind.
((OOC: Due to not having a Lieutenant yet I currently just put a ---- whenever I say their name. Whenever one is accepted I will replace these with the real name. If you have to mention this lieutenant in your post just call them the tenth division lieutenant I imagine.))
---, I need you to contact 4th Division and have them get in touch with 11th Division, I don’t care if they have their damned differences we need strong guards at every exit to the Sewer systems but tell them to only subdue anyone coming out, if they seriously injure anyone they will be answering directly to me. Once you’ve delivered that message to them I need you to get in touch with 2nd and 6th division captains and tell them that we currently have a shinigami in need of questioning who is on the run, they may or may not see fit to help but the word needs to be put out…and --- give them Azerins description. Also…get 3rd Division to be prepped, I don’t want to but I have a feeling this isn’t going to end as pleasantly as I had hoped the day would be…
Yun stopped drawing on his arm and after a short period opened his eyes glancing upward and blinking a few times before standing up. He reached up and lowered his glasses a bit and looked down into the hole and without saying anything else (and his zanpaktou being rather quiet for once) he jumped down after Azerin.

Run! Was the thought that kept repeating inside Azerins head as he dashed down the walkpath made beside the sewer canals, he had kept running ever since he jumped down into the sewers, he did not know if his captain had followed, but if he did he could not be far behind, this alone spurred Azerin to keep running. He had done his best to hide his reiatsu signature, but he did not know how well it went. He did know that the sewers was probably the only place where he could hide himself in the whole of Seireitei, but he did not want to risk getting caught, therefore he had kept running and switching passage all the time, to make him harder to track, although he mapped the path he took in his mind so he wouldent get lost or run in circles.
After running for almost twenty minutes Azerin was out of breath, he had forced himself to run this far, and he was almost about to collapse now. Gasping for air Azerin collapsed with his back against the sewer wall, as much as he did not like it he had to rest, he couldent keep running, if he kept on and was found by someone he wouldent have the strength to fight back or run. 'What am I going to do...? I cant possibly outrun the whole of Seireitei... And even if I can manage that... How should I escape?' Azerin thought, he'd never felt this depressed before, now knowing that those he had lived with, fought togheter with and become friends with, would think of him as a traitor, and hunt him down. He almost felt like he should just give up, and hope they could help him, but he doubted it, he knew many of the captains were good people, but also that just as many were not... Not to mention he had run from his captain, which would definitely make them doubt him, there was too many variables to calculate the outcome for Azerin, but the odds was not on his side.
His thoughts was interupted however by a malicious laughter that seemed to resonate inside the sewer tunnel, atleast thats what it appeared like for Azerin. "y.. You! Leave me alone!" Azerin said with a paniced voice while looking around franticaly to find the source, even though he knew deep down it came from inside him. "Poor poor Shinigami, so your friends have forsaken you? Shinigami are not better than us hollow, at first sign of difference they strike you down, if you disobey, you are an outlaw and is sentenced to death..." The same voice that had laughed at Azerin said, it seemed to be a twisted form of Azerin's own voice, although with an echo to it. "No your wrong! They wouldent..." Azerin began, but his voice died, he didnt know what to say. "Precisely, you deny it yet you are doubting your own words, your own thoughts. If you simply gave in, everything wou-"
"SHUT UP! Your wrong!" Azerin yelled out, grasping his head between his hands. "Hehehe... If you say so. We will see after you get caught what happens, dont say I didnt warn you, shinigami. When they turn on you it will be up to you to fight, it will be you who slices their throat, not me." The hollow, Kehiel said, his precense fading from Azerin's mind. Azerin was laying against the sewer wall shaking, the hollow was probably right about that he would have to fight, but if he could prevent it he would, and he refused to kill one of his own! No matter how much they tried to end him. At the thought of his pursuers however reality hit Azerin like a brick to the face, he had talked to the hollow aloud, and in this place the sound could have echoed far, especialy his last shout. Despite his stressed and paniced condition Azerin stood up once again and started running, he had to get to one of the Senkai gates before it was too late.

Far away from the action of our story, Tarukane Sokou of the 11th Gotei was comfortably laying on the roof of the division's headquarters. Having completed his daily duties, the lieutenant was peacefully sleeping away the rest of the day; having threatened to cripple any man who disturb him for anything besides the imminent apocalypse. Of course he wasn't serious, the worst the long haired man would ever do to one of his own wouldn't even warrant more then a night in the 4th Gotei; but those idiotic recruits didn't have to know that. The shinigami usually wasn't this lazy, or even as temperamental as he was at the moment; but making sure the new academy graduates that the Soutaichou had assigned to the 11th were ready for the field was possibly one of the most grating jobs ever. Sure the first day was always fun, but that's because all he did was scare the shit out of them; just encase they had mistaken him for one of those over hyped baby-sitters at the academy. After that it was all business, like supervising twelve bumbling rookies on a hollow hunt; it had taken the brats six hours just to find the bastard, which was followed by another seven spent finding it a second time after they had let it escape. "Tarukane-sama," the sounded young and nervous, that along with how she had address him meant she was new; now one called him Sama after the first year. Without bothering to turn his head or even open his eyes to look at her, the tattooed man made his displeasure very clear, "What part of leave me alone or bodily harm didn't you understand?" "You said any man, I'm not a man," a tiny bit of confidence could now be heard in her voice, most likely because she thought her little joke would spare her. "Smart... why the hell did they put you in the 11th?" ~~~ Fifteen minutes later, Sokou watched as his men went off in every direction to fulfill Saigotschuu-Taichou's request; two seated officers at every sewer exit. Sokou of course added a small instruction of his own, use any force necessary to defend themselves; Yun could deal with him if he had a problem with that. As for the 11th Lieutenant himself, he planned to take a more preemptive approach to the 10th Gotei's little problem. Kneeling on the ground of the 11th courtyard, the bare chested man made a circle in the dirt in front of him. Cutting the circle in four, Sokou drew a symbol in each, "Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain." "Binding Spell 58, Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows."Since he was unfamiliar with the shinigami named Azerin, considering him nothing more then trash; it would have been useless for Sokou to try and track him by his spiritual energy. Instead, the warrior chose a far more prestigious target; the massive reiatsu of Saigotschuu-Taichou. Reacting to his own spiritual energy, the circle came alive; revealing the old man's location to him. Burning the coordinates into his memory, Sokou was gone in a flash. If the 10th wanted to use his men, their captain was going to to tell him everything.

((sorry if this sucks))
"Where are you going?"
Masaru turned at the sound of a quiet voice, his face a painting of pure surprise and guilt, like a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar. He was perched precariously in the window of his office, no doubt preparing to plunge several hundred feet to the ground below. He would then disappear as he so often did to fight hollow in the living realm; It was his own personal way of cleansing his sins, and burying the shadows of his past. He scattered white carnations of remembrance about the broken town of Karakura, and he screamed apologies and farewells to the stars above until his throat was raw. That was his life, his secret life that no one knew. He kept it clutched closely to his chest and dared others to try and tear it from him with bared teeth and glistening eyes. No one dared.
All suspected however... his entire division knew that he left them often, sometimes during their times of need. He was never confronted about this, but instead saw it in their eyes, and could feel it fighting to surface past their tightly clenched jaws. He was not without remorse: he claimed his division was the most important thing in his life; it was his refuge, his child, his friend, and his only love. He would live and die for these people, and perhaps one day he would come to terms with the grief he caused them... perhaps one day he would cease to steal away into the night.
A bit of a smirk crossed his features, "I'm not going anywhere... just appreciating the beautiful day..." His eyes glimmered with the heavy lie, and he gazed intently at the young unranked officer, as though he were pleading with her to leave him be.
"Oh" was her response, and Masaru detected in her voice the thick feeling of disappointment. She did not admire him as her Captain. He felt a pang in his chest as he recalled how he once felt the same disappointment towards his own Captain, Gahrok... He could picture those days so clearly in his mind even now as he fought so desperately to bury the past with every slash of his silent Zanpakuto. Yes, he knew how it was to stand in the shadow of a seemingly careless captain, and he grimaced... how did they all see him? Did they perceive him for how he really was? Or did they only see the obvious?
He would not be leaving them today.
With a reluctant sigh, Masaru came down from the windowsill. "Did you need me for something?"
"It's about the Tenth Division..." She clutched at the fabric of her uniform like a nervous child, "Saigotschuu Taicho needs your help..."
--And that is how Masaru learned of the happenings at Sokyoku Hill--
Masaru knew very well the issues revolving around Azerin, former third seat of Tenth Division: word traveled furiously. He had become something like a recluse, abandoned his duties... and now he was on the run. It seemed to Masaru that he was hiding something... something that could incriminate him.
Whatever the reason for Azerin's rash actions, he had involved members of other Divisions now, and things had grown more serious for him.
And so there he was, racing reluctantly across Seireitei to aid in the capture of a fellow Shinigami. Such things were not pleasant for Masaru, who felt the only true enemy was the creatures of Hueco Mundo... those who relished in ascendancy and the anguish of their victims. The idea of hunting down a member of the Gotei Thirteen seemed rather barbaric to him, though he did understand the consequences if the situation were to be left alone...
...In the sewers...
That's what the girl had said...
A shudder passed briefly through the Captain as he unhappily envisioned the webbing of tunnels he was about to enter... That Azerin was playing this game of cat and mouse intelligently... though... it seemed to Masaru that only a desperate man would enter the depths of Sereitei's underground so suddenly.
The task at hand was rather complicated... there was no good way to go about following the runaway, and the very idea of choosing a location to enter the sewer system seemed daunting. At this moment, Azerin could be anywhere, and Masaru had no time to debate his own point of entrance. He was not a strategic thinker; he grew easily bored of games like chess, and it seemed to him that the situation at hand was a bit like a game of chess... a game that Masaru never finished.
With a heavy sigh, Masaru jumped from the rooftops to the ground below, landing gracefully on the balls of his feet. He knew of an entrance in this location, and he decided feebly that one entrance was as good as any in a situation like this.
He kicked at the loose tile to his left, and as it obediently moved aside, Masaru peered down into the darkness. A moldy, mildewy smell wafted upwards and he squinted his eyes in a smirk.
"Charming."
With that, Masaru dropped down, landing in a catlike crouch. Darkness surrounded him, and so he began his disinclined search for Azerin, the lost boy of Tenth Division.

“Well this is beautiful.”
“Truly a wonderful place, the sort of place you would come even if you didn't have a worthwhile goal driving you.”
“O shut it.”
Initially Yun had been running around at random, even though the underground tunnels disorganized ones soul energy Yun with his years of experience was still able to tell the direction Azerin was in. However as they had run deeper the energy had become harder to read and it had finally caused Yun to slow down to a crawl for fear that if he went darting off in the direction he thought Azerin might be in he would just miss him all together. One thing had changed even more over the past few minutes though, when Yun had awoken this morning he was willing to show kindness and pity on Azerin in an attempt to be the fair captain he tried to be, then he had been confused by his subordinates action, but now he was just ticked off. Yun was not one to show his anger except when it came to telling his zanpaktou to shut up but his entire Division knew the veins of his patience ran shallow and even if he didn't act angry his leniency could disappear in a flash. That was what had happened in this case, Yun had quickly gone from searching for a companion acting strangely outside to simply hunting down another target, he would still attempt to bring him in without harm but as usual with every passing moment his own conviction to this decree was fading. His Zanpaktou was reading his mind and the three kittens were discussing what could have caused Azerins actions.
“He's a freak. Of course he ran.”
“CHAOS!!! He's just scared and doesn't want to get in trouble...”
“But what sort of trouble is he trying to avoid exactly?”
“I...I don't know.”
“I like to try and hold hope too Tranquility but in this case it can't be something pleasant that is just going to roll off our backs. Plus this little running stunt won't help his position.”
“Did you feel it?” for once in a rare occasion Chaos wasn't speaking in a sarcastic tone.
“Feel what?”
“Yes I did...I wondered if it was just me.”
“FEEL WHAT?!”
The Hollow Yun finally chimed into the conversation, he tended to ignore their comments but when it got serious he sometimes joined in.
“The...Hollow?”
When Azerin ran there was an odd feeling...it was not focused, almost as if it was waking up, it felt like a Hollow. I am not sure if he was the source but if it wasn't him then who? No...I think we know who it was, the real question is how, to what extent and for what purpose? We will find him, we will question him, but this will not end well...I gave up on that the moment I jumped into this hole.
“Thats...”
“Haha, killin time!” Chaos said sounding more like his usual self.
“As much as I hate to agree with the little devil shrimp that may be the direction this is headed. We have all seen it happen a few times in the past, it never goes well.”
“THE WHAT?!!!”
The three went on arguing in the background but Yun stopped paying attention when they went off topic again and got into whether penguins could survive being lit on fire. He was still just walking along the edge of the canal down a path that looked the exact same as all the others, about thirty seconds ago he had felt Azerins energy just stop in place, then without warning it had dropped liked a hole in the water, reappeared and taken off again. However Yun still could not be certain of just how many canals away it was so he adopted a different technique, he started looking around for random bits of rock and debris laying along the canal edge. He would bend down, pick them up and then throw them into the water and listen for which direction caused the deepest echo, that meant more mass was in that direction and with a general proximity by feeling Azerins soul energy and using the more precise tones of the water he slowly followed the mans trail...hey, you don't live for over eight-hundred years and not pick up some tricks for dealing with odd situations along the way. On a brighter note at least Yun could feel a significant amount of spiritual energy gathering somewhere above which meant his message had made it out and the other squads had actually paid attention, he was even feeling a few others within the sewer though thankfully not enough to detract his attention from which one was Azerin.
((OOC: Gato, I was not sure if you wanted me to respond or like Harm you were just going to do it yourself and find your way to the sewers. Either way is fine but in case you were planning on doing it yourself I will not post anything about it, however if you would prefer I posted something just PM me and I will add it here.))

Shimizu Atsue heard someone calling her name, though she was in no rush to answer the summons. A clear list of priorities was essential when working in the Fourth Gotei. If she immediately responded to all of the calls for her, she’d be leaving patients only partially healed and half-finishing other important tasks on a regular basis. As for now, the dutiful soldier lying next to her was the priority. His wounds were not life threatening, now that the bleeding had been stopped, though it was obvious that he was in no less pain. She was nearly finished with her examination of the unfortunate man, merely taking a closer look at the deep laceration of his upper left arm. It didn’t appear that the bones had been broken, though she was going to have to check for nerve damage.
“I am almost finished. Please remain calm because this is probably going to hurt,” she said to the man with a reassuring smile. He gave a nod of understanding in response. Her hands moved to the injured arm and taking a gentle hold of it, she very slightly shifted its position. A pained grunt and an obvious grimace alerted the lieutenant that this man could indeed feel what was happening. Her skilled hands shifted further down the arm where she attempted the technique again. In the blink of an eye, a fist flew towards Atsue’s head and she was forced to let go and dodge the blow.
“Shimizu-fukutaichou!” faintly emanated again from the hallway outside the room.
“Hmm… I would say that you are going to be fine, provided you refrain from swinging at me again,” Atsue chuckled, turning her golden gaze upon the injured man.
“I… I’m sorry,” was all he could say.
“Think nothing of it,” Atsue replied cheerfully, placing her hand on his forehead. “Please, just try to rest.” The lieutenant closed her eyes for a moment to better focus her reiatsu. A quick burst was delivered from her hand to the man through her touch, and his expression changed immediately. It was obvious that he no longer felt the same tremendous pain, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
The door to the room quickly slid open, revealing a flustered young man who bowed low promptly upon locking eyes with Atsue, his superior officer. He scrambled over to her side and whispered a short message into her ear. Her pleasant expression did not change, though it was apparent that her mental list of priorities had suddenly shifted. She nodded in understanding and whispered a short command to the young man, causing him to straighten up, nod, and dash from the room.
“Kiku-san, please apply this ointment and dress the wounds,” Atsue advised, turning her attention to the wide-eyed girl in the corner and holding a small vial up for her.
“Yes, Shimizu-sama,” the girl replied as she stood and moved to take the vial and begin her assigned task.
It was with a soft sigh that Atsue made her way to the door. After quietly exiting the room, she could hear commotion in the main hall of the building. Walking coolly in that direction, she gathered her thoughts and prepared to direct her Squad Four comrades as best she could. When she entered the main hall, the uproar subsided significantly while her subordinates awaited her instructions. She stood before them, still bearing her usual gentle smile and beginning her address.
“Thank you for assembling on such short notice. I would like you all to be aware that we have been placed on alert. Saigotschuu-taichou has requested we remain ready to receive any injured parties involved with the pursuit of one of his subordinates. Though injury is anticipated to be minimal, Gotei 11 has been drawn into this matter as well as high-ranking officers from other squads. I would prefer we stand ready for anything, knowing that various Captains and Vice-Captains are involved. The destruction that they have the potential to cause, even if it isn’t likely, must be taken into consideration. I ask that you please prepare all beds and rooms, and have all critical medical supplies available and ready. We remain on alert until further notice.”
As soon as Atsue’s statements had concluded, the more experienced Gotei Four members quickly dispersed, dragging various newer members along with them. Directions were being shouted from everywhere within the building. Atsue quickly intermingled herself within the orderly chaos, and it was only a few tumultuous minutes before Squad Four was prepared and ready to meet the influx of any injured in the pursuit of one of Seireitei’s own.

OOC: Sorry for the time it took to get this up, writers block and vacations dont go well in hand.
He had been running for... He did not know how long, it felt like forever, but it was probably less than an hour, not too long ago however he felt the precense of other Shinigami inside the sewer tunnels, which only spurred his panic to new heights. He knew he had to keep calm, as there was no way to get out of this situation without thinking it through properly, but with things happening so fast, how could he simply calm down?
He decided that to keep running was the best he could do right now while masking his reiatsu as best he could. And so he did, as he ran through the tunnels in, what to a regular human, would be blinding speed, but to a shinigami was simply fast, kicking up small pieces that had fallen from the ceiling and wall. He was just about to run around a corner when he stopped suddenly, he could hear voices over in the tunnel right around the corner, and while he did not recognize their voices he knew they were Shinigami even before he carefully peaked over the corner.
"Why are we down here in this stinking place now again?" A large, really large, almost fat shinigami said, from here Azerin could not see any actual features, but he seemed to be wearing a hood.
"Quit your whining, we are here to find that tenth squad run-away." A smaller, almost short shinigami said, both were males.
"Oh yeah, that Ase-whatchamacallim, I heard he was demoted from ninth seat to tenth seat recently, wonder if thats why he decided to jump the ship?" The larger Shinigami responded.
"He has went down more than that demotion, but I think the reason for him running is hidden in the reason for why he was demoted in the first place, either way it doesnt matter, we are here to capture him, not to find out why, now keep quiet or we might alert him if he is nearby" The smaller one said, obviously the smarter of the two.
"Yeah yeah... I get I get it." The large Shinigami responded, then they started moving again, luckily for Azerin they were heading in the opposite direction.
'Guess I should take a detour... Better than trying to sneak by them atleast.' Azerin thought as he turned around and took quick, but silent steps in the opposite direction, and after a few meters broke up into a all-out run, however things were not going his way as he bumped right into another shinigami as both rounded the corner at the same time, the shinigami he had ran straight into falling on his back-end, his two companions that came shortly after looking shocked for a few seconds.
"Hey look where your going you idiot! You could seriously have hurt someone like that!" The man Azerin had knocked over yelled out, Azerin then realized a fact. Most in the thirteen squads did not know how Azerin looked! Sure they could probably guess it was him due to his somewhat customized outfit, but this group had apparently not noticed that yet, taking the chance Azerin mumbled "Sorry" as he jumped over to the other side of the sewer canal and started running in the opposite direction as they were heading, unfortunately for Azerin one of the Shinigami actualy realized who he was and shouted to the others.
"That was him! Lets get him!" It only took a few moments for the two other Shinigami to catch on and then they started pursuing him. 'Damn it... Well from their reiatsu levels they dont appear to be much more than non-ranked or low rank Shinigami, so I can probably shake them.... off....' Azerin stopped his train of thoughts as he realized he had ran straight into a dead end. Trying to turn around and run out fast enough to get away Azerin did not take note of the soul energy that was being gathered around the corner, and just as he was about to come out of the dead-end one of the shinigame jumped out infront of him. "Shakka Hou!" Normally Azerin would have been able to dodge the reiatsu projectile, but right now he was in such a bad mental state he barely had any focus at all, it was almost a amazing feat for him then to brace for the impact, which came only a moment after.
Azerin was sent flying by the almost point blank shot as it hit him in his stomach, pushing all air out of his lungs as it sent him straight into the dead-end, crashing into the wall. Even though the energy blast had not been increadibly powerfull and not sent him in insane speed or force into the wall it was in enough of a bad shape that the outer layer of it broke down, half-burying Azerin in rubble. Azerin was slightly disoriented after the short flight and crash, some rocks to the head afterwards had not helped his condition either, but he could still make out the three men's shapes as they approached, ready to draw their zanpakutous.
"Heh, this was easier than I thought!" One of them said, probably expecting Azerin to atleast put up some form of resistance.
"I'm surprised he was beaten so easily, I guess they had a reason to demote him" Another said, it seemed to be the same one that had realized that it was Azerin they had bumped into.
His vision was already disoriented, but suddenly a familiar sensation settled over him, making his vision even more clouded. 'Is that it? Is your will to survive so weak that you cannot even fight your way past these weaklings? Your pathetic.' The voice of the Hollow echoed in his mind spitefully. "Shut up..." Azerin said silently, almost whispering. The first person to have commented on Azerin looked down on him with a grin on his face. "Huh? What did ya say?" and at the same time the hollow continued talking to him 'Look at them, mocking you, because you are running they no longer think of you as a comrade, if you do not fight they may even kill you, pathetic as you are.' At that Azerin was half-way up on his feet in a moment. "SHUT UP!" he yelled out, while the shout definitely sounded to be mostly of anger there was fear in it, but most would probably not notice it, whatever else he was planning or saying though was cut off as another 'shot of red fire' hit him in the chest, sending him back into the small pile of rubble.
"Not so tough now are ya?" The man who had mocked him earlier said, he was obviously a big push-over as he had not actualy done anything himself, and it had been his comrade, the smart one, who had actualy used the demon art both times. Said man frowned at the push-overs stance to the situation, he apparently didnt think of Azerin in the same sense as that guy, but he knew better than to discuss their different view points in something that could turn into a battle. "...Whatever, lets just bring him back so we can get this over with, you fetch him, you should atleast do something during this trip, dont you think?" The smarter of the three said, the push-over obviously being annoyed by what he said but still complying.
However Azerin had not noticed any of what had happened after the reiatsu blast hit him and sent him crashing back into the rubble, he had halfly lost conciousness, and while he normally could have prevented it he was in no such mental condition at this moment to do anything.
The push-over approached Azerins seemingly unconsious body, muttering something about him not being awake for his triumphant remark, however just as he was about to bend over and drag him out a snap could be heard, like cloth being torn appart in an instant, and just a split second later blood sprayed out of the unfortunate shinigamis back as something ressembling a hand struck straight through him, right in the center of his chest. The shinigamis two comrades stared on the body that went limp and fell to the floor in both surprise and horror.
To all those in the sewers at this moment Azerin's reiatsu had been very low, some might not even have felt it at all as he had done his best to conceal it, however now it suddenly spiked up tremendously, even so much that he might have been considered a vice-captain class shinigami, however something about it was wrong, there was something mixed in with his own reiatsu, but most would not be able to guess what it was. Strangely however it seemed to become distorted, making it hard to find its exact location, even if it was easy to tell in which direction one was to travel at this moment.
Azerin pulled out his left hand from the corpse of the now dead push-over, and as his body fell limp to the floor the blood stained bandages that wrapped around his hand could easily be made out even in the dimly lit tunnel, the most outstanding thing right now though was the glowing gold color of Azerin's eyes, and while it could be seen it was not what truly drew ones view to it, the tips of his left hands claws was slightly visible as the thrust he had done with the arm had brought the bandages off.
The second Shinigami who had spoken, the one who seemed to be the smartest one started backing away, understanding right away that this situation was beyond their controll, the third one was not so clever however and drew his sword and rushed at Azerin yelling. Azerin however did not seem very threatened by this as he simply took a step forward and raised his left arm towards the incomming sword, easily catching the zanpakutou in what might have appeared a bare hand to most, but the second Shinigami noticed that there seemed to be something covering it under the bandages, but he also knew that his friend was no match for Azerin. Just a moment after having his sword stopped by Azerin's left hand the third shinigami stared in surprise as his left chest side, barely missing the heart, recieved a deep slash, and then Azerin was on his side, stepping forwards towards the last standing Shinigami as the third one fell to the floor, still alive but badly wounded.
"Your next..." Azerin said in a sinister tone, his voice was even slightly warped, sounding almost like there was someone talking just after Azerin, the blood thirsty look on his face told all that needed to be said however, this was not the same person that had fleed in panic from them just a minute earlier. Holding his Zanpakutou in his right hand, dragging it behind him with its tip touching the sewer floor, however his every step was steady and determined, the young shinigami opposite him was still backing away, holding the hilt of his Zanpakutou, he doubted that he would make it out of this alive, but he wouldent go down without a fight, but suddenly the reiatsu levels dropped, and Azerin rushed off past the shinigami, the sudden change causing him to lose focus. It only took him a few moments to gather himself, and he ignored the running Azerin and turned to his wounded comrade, running up to him and trying to keep him as stable as possible on his own, until help arrived, which it soon did in the form of the two Azerin had listened in on earlier, but they unfortunately did not know how to help the badly wounded Shinigami, and instead rushed off to get actual help.
Several hundred meters away a paniced Azerin was running down the sewer tunnels at even higher speed than before, he did not seem to really look where he was going however as he mostly just stared down at his blood stained left hand. He had killed one of his own, even if it had been under the influence of the hollow it was his fault that he had not been able to resist the hollow. "dammnit..." He said silently in a defeated voice, what was he going to do now? There was no way for them to help him now, they would kill him, no doubt about it. He had to fight his way to the closest Senkai gate, no matter the cost.
OOC: Sorry if its bad, had to take pauses when I wrote it so it might come off as a bit loose :/

1st division headquarters.
Kaiba Katayama was sitting cross legged with his zanpakutou on his lap engaging in a conversation with Kaen the spirit which inhabited the blade. Thats what he appeared to be doing when Sano, an unseated member of the 1st gotei entered the headquarters. Fearful of Kaiba's known temper kept him from interrupting. taking a position along the wall, Sano planned to wait for the 3rd seat to finish so as not to incite his wrath.
"what the hell do you want?" Kaiba asked in rough manner without opening his eyes, startling the junior member of his squad.
"Uhm uh...." Stuttered the startled shinigami (ooc-say that 5 times fast lol) "SPIT IT OUT" Yelled Kaiba obviously getting annoyed.
"Ss..sir, tenth division is requesting for back up. A member of their squad is on the run in the sewers and wanted for questioning." Sano managed to spit out despite the look of fury threatening to send him running away he was receiving from Kaiba.
"Super" Kaiba said with a roll of his eyes as Sano made a hasty exit now that he had delivered his message. Wonder where Kuatura is?........Kaiba thought to himself looking around for his brother quickly. Aw who am i kidding, he's probably out searching for girls again. he answered himself mentally.
Making his way towards the outskirts of Sereitei, Kaiba was cursing his luck internally. If i wasn't at the headquarters when that wimp came by i could be doing something constructive right now like attaining my bankai, I'm so close to materialization, i can feel it. he went on. Passing by other shinigami posted at the exits of the sewers throughout the city, Kaiba was looking for a deserted one, finding one, Kaiba took up a position at it.
Unable to feel the tenth division's runaways reiatsu, Kaiba was forced to do nothing but wait. Which really irritated him. He was already rethinking his orders to not harm the boy before questioning. hmmm i wonder if he'll be able to answer questions with a broken jaw? he thought to himself with a smile and continued to wait.
Just as Kaiba thought he had wasted enough time on this and was about to go back to his divisions headquarters when a shinigami came bolting out of the sewer exit . Thinking it to be his target, Kaiba unsheathed his zanpakutou and was readying to disable him when the person in front of him, looking terrified and more than a little disheveled saw Kaibas blade and immediately kow towed before a surprised Kaiba.
"announce yourself, why have you run from your division?" He asked the frantic man on his knees.
"Na...Not me him.....freak"
not understanding what was going on but recognizing that the man in front of him was from the medical division Kaiba began to ease up and questioned the man in a more calm tone of voice.
"Look, just take a second and explain it to me,I won't hurt you." He finished by re-sheathing his sword.
"I...I..I was in the sewer" He started meekly.
"I could see that, get to the freak part" Kaiba interrupted, his impatience apparent.
"I didn't see......... just.......felt. It was horrible i felt his power.......so.......EVIL... He.....he was close to me so i ran i couldn't stay...i...i just couldn't." the unnamed shinigami got out before standing and turning tail and ran towards sereitei
Not knowing what to do, Kaiba took the best course of action he could think of, seeing as the 4th division coward was close to him but couldnt verify in which direction, Kaiba had no choice but to keep his position and wait and hope that the runaway shinigami would come his way.
ooc- sorry bout the crappy post will step it up later on

Reports slowly began to trickle into Gotei Four from various locations around the Court of Pure Souls. Most updates revealed small bits of information such who had been seen recently and who was assumed to have become involved with the unfolding dilemma. A familiar ringing sound emanated from somewhere upon Atsue’s person as she stood near a desk in the main hall, writing a few notes into a book.
The lieutenant’s hand instinctively moved to the communicator stowed within her shinigami robes. Flipping it open, the woman’s golden gaze scanned its screen for a moment before she answered the call. Her movements froze as she listened to the message given by the caller. Her mind worked quickly to piece together all of the information received and come up with a plan. “I see. Your location?” said Atsue in response to the incoming transmission. After a few seconds, she nodded and answered. “Try to keep the injured one alive and stable. We are on our way.”
With a flick of the wrist, the communicator was closed and slipped within her robes once more. Atsue waved her hand to a few individuals nearby, signaling that she needed their aid. She had quickly come to a decision about how things would be handled, and it was now merely a matter of directing others to set it into motion. Once her subordinates had gathered close enough to hear her orders, she gave them a small smile and began to speak.
“I’m going to need you all to come with me. We’re heading into the sewers beneath Seireitei. There are a few injuries already, so we’ll need stretchers and emergency medical supplies. I’ll tell the Captain of our task and reassign some others to take care of things here while we’re gone. I’ll meet you behind the building in a moment.”
The small group then scattered. Atsue headed off to the Captain’s office as the others packed up supplies and retrieved stretchers. It wasn’t long before the six seemingly random members of Squad Four found themselves staring down at a metal door behind their building which masked one of the many entrances to the sewers beneath Seireitei.
No words were spoken as Atsue carefully pulled aside the door, revealing a dark and damp sewer. The group carefully descended with their gear and began the task of finding their targets. It took very little time, however, since the Fourth Squad as a whole was more than familiar with the relatively unpleasant passages hidden below the Court. Atsue had known which direction to take even before they’d departed from the rest of their squad. She was careful to keep an eye out for the one who had caused all of this commotion, however, because she was not about to lose members of her own squad to a renegade shinigami on a rampage.
The twists and turns of the dank halls were skillfully maneuvered by the small group and it was only a matter of minutes from the initial transmission to Atsue that she and her companions arrived to find the rogue’s victims. Once they had arrived on the scene, the lieutenant quickly moved to the side of her subordinate. He had been the one to call her and had been struggling to aid an unconscious shinigami. Though the gash across the patient’s chest was large, the medics were able to quickly stop the bleeding and wrap the wound sufficiently for transport. He was placed on a stretcher, as was another who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Atsue was more than dismayed to see how quickly the situation had escalated. It seemed that the longer this rogue shinigami was on the loose, the more likely the death toll would rise. It was also a possibility that the longer he remained in the sewers, the more likely he’d be to have a run-in with her subordinates, as they often used this area to make quick time across Seireitei. Thus, it seemed the Vice-Captain of Gotei Four had little choice. She would have to safeguard this area, either incapacitating the troubled member of Squad Ten or flushing the other less-than-qualified shinigami out for their own protection. With these thoughts in mind, she directed her subordinates out with the injured. She instructed them to get out of the sewers immediately, since it was no longer safe. They were hesitant to leave without her, but understood that her orders were not given without reason.
Turning to the three shinigami remaining, Shimizu Atsue smiled warmly. One of the three appeared much more distressed over the situation than the others. He was pallid and watched wide-eyed as the medics walked down the dark corridor with the stretchers. It seemed that the two that had fallen were his friends.
“Thank you for contacting us,” she calmly said to the three. Turning to the distraught shinigami she continued. “If they are friends of yours, perhaps it would be best if you accompanied them to Gotei Four.”
The pale shinigami said nothing in response, but walked off in pursuit of his fallen comrades. The lieutenant was not particularly concerned that the group would be attacked by the renegade of Gotei Ten, as she’d purposely chosen this particular group of her subordinates. They would be able to care for the injured as well as defend themselves effectively if necessary.
Finally, she turned to the two remaining shinigami once more and addressed them. “If you wouldn’t mind, I would prefer if you vacated the sewers now. It is no longer safe here.”
The two nodded in response, not really sure who the small woman was or whether to honor her request. It didn’t appear that they wanted to spend any more time in the sewer, however, so they silently agreed to do as she had asked. As they walked away, one of them turned back to Atsue and pointed vaguely to her right.
“I think he went that way,” he said, then headed off with his companion in the direction of the nearest exit.
Atsue nodded and smiled in understanding, then began to move quickly off in the direction the man had pointed out. Her demeanor was composed, though her senses were keen. Her own reiatsu was kept in check so as to prevent giving away her position, and as she progressed she kept herself ready for the presence of anyone else wandering the dark, unpleasant halls beneath the Court of Pure Souls.
