Shinigami
Name: Mouretsu Arashi "Arashi the Wind Master"
Gender: Male
Age: 870 years dead, died at age 14. Total: 884 Looks to be about 18
Division: 7th Division
Rank: Captain
Physical Description:
With an athletic muscle build, Arashi may not seem very strong at first glance. But he has trained himself mercilessly in order to be strong enough to fight one-on-one with any creature that exists, living or not. He stands at about five foot, seven inches tall and weighs around one hundred and forty pounds. Arashi’s eyes are a soft muddy brown, which reflect his lust for battle, and the fires that burn in his soul which fuel his strength. Untidy silver hair adorns his head, falling down to his chin in straight lengths. His face is soft and kind normally, save for when he enters the battlefield; his face warps into a look of passion and lust, so pronounced that the transformation is almost scary.
Arashi always has to brush his hair out of his eyes, so he keeps a strip of black cloth around his forehead to keep his hair in check. When dressing casually, he wears the bottoms to his Shinigami robes, and a plain white t-shirt. For formal and battle wear, he adorns his full Shinigami robes, with his zanpakuto strapped horizontally across the back of his waist. Hidden under all of his clothing, he has a black tattoo of a pair of wings wrapped around a sword on the left side of his chest, right over his heart.
Personality: Arashi is very flamboyant at times, and other times very dull. All in all he has a good sense of humor and likes to make cracks at whoever is unfortunate enough to be his opponent. Even if he is losing, and has certain death placed upon him he’ll still be grinning and taunting his enemy. When bored he’ll often challenge people to spar, making jokes and comments aimed at them until they anger enough to accept his challenge. If he fails in this, well…then he’ll just either move on to another, or give up and slouch around someplace.
During the times where Arashi doesn’t feel like fighting, rare as they may be, he’ll be writing down battles he has fought, or adventures he has been on to share with his best friends Kai, and Julia; the two beings that were the closest to him in all of Soul Society.
Arashi's aim, is to one day take all the knowledge he has learned in battle, and compose it in a guide. He dreams to teach young Shinigami about battle, wishing to pass on his knowledge to any who will listen.
History: A baby’s cry ripped through the night air, coming from a house on the outskirts of Tokyo. A raven-haired woman of middle age clutched a small bundle of blankets to her chest, her face coated with sweat, and her hair very damp. A kind faced man with soft blue eyes, and untidy silver hair sat next to the woman on the bed. Both were smiling deeply at one another, the woman’s muddy brown eyes reflecting nothing but passion and love for her husband, and newly born child. “What shall we name him?” The man asks, taking the bundle from the woman.
The woman sat quietly for a few minutes, before speaking quietly, her voice soft as a flower petal. “We shall name him Arashi, after his great grandfather.” She beamed at her husband and child, never letting them leave her line of sight. “Oh Gin…This is the happiest moment of my life…” The couple embraced, holding the baby Arashi between them.
“This is a happy moment for me as well Kokoro my love…” Mouretsu Gin pressed his lips to Kokoro’s and they shared a moment of happiness.
Fourteen Years Later…
“Arashi!” A bang loud enough to crack someone’s eardrums resounding upstairs “I’m going to kill you Arashi!” A female voice was screaming at the top of her lungs, and a teenage girl of about eighteen hurtling down the stairs followed it. “That little piece of…” She turned towards her parents, who were both standing in the kitchen rolling their eyes at each other. “Mom that little demon you call a son was in my stuff again! Look what he did to my brand new kimono!” She held up a blue sleeveless shirt that had “Nee-chan is MEAN!” written on it in black paint.
The couple sighed, and Gin walked forward and put a hand on his daughter’s shoulder. “We’ll talk to him when he gets home…right now he’s out.” The father of the girl smiled, and the girl sighed in turn.
“You probably won’t even punish him,” she mutters softly, so that her father couldn’t hear her. She moved towards the stairs and started upwards.
“Oh, and one more thing Kohana…” The girl froze as her foot landed on the bottom stair. “We’re going out for dinner tonight…So be ready to leave at around five okay?” Kohana sighed with relief and smiled down at her father. “Okay father, I will.” She said brightly before dashing up the stairs and into her room.
Meanwhile, a commotion could be heard somewhere down an ally in Tokyo. Shouts could be heard, and fists and feet impacting with something, was resounding off the building walls. “You son of a bitch!” Arashi muttered, wiping blood from his chin. He leaped back onto the wall and kicked off it delivering a shattering blow with his fist to a tall black haired boy a few years older then him in the face. Arashi fell into a roll and was back on his feet in no time.
The boy clutched his nose; blood was streaming out of it, through his clenched fingers. “You’ll pay for that one Mouretsu…” He muttered through his broken nose. He pulled back a fist and swung it at Arashi who dodged, and dropped to a squatting position, before swinging his legs at the other boy’s ankles, knocking his legs out from under him.
“You sure about that Iyashii? Seems to me like I’m kicking your ass…” Arashi smirks, brushing his pants off, and then began walking away. A pain suddenly ripped across the back of his head, which made Arashi cringe and clutch at his skull in pain. “You bastard!” He yells, whipping around, just in time to catch the rock that was chucked at the back of his head. “You cheap bastard…” Arashi’s eyes narrow and he runs forward at the now standing Iyashii, delivering a blow to his stomach and then an uppercut into his chin, knocking his head back and making him fall to the ground. “Next time you try a cheap trick like that I won’t be so merciful…” Arashi glowers before running off when he hears footsteps approaching the scene.
The young teenager slows down as he gets away from earshot, and walks along the dusty road towards his home. “Damn that Iyashii…Why is he always picking a fight with me? I beat him every time…but he still persists…” Arashi sighs and turns left onto a worn path big enough for a single cart to be pulled along. He stops suddenly as a strange noise fills his ears, it sounded like some kind of beast roaring…but yet, it wasn’t like anything Arashi every heard. The boy shrugs and continues on, thinking he must have been hearing things.
The roar rips through the air again, this time closer. Arashi whips around. “Okay, that time I KNOW I heard something…” Before he could look around for what it was, he was knocked off his feet by something he couldn’t see. “What the hell?!” He yelled as he flew through the air and landed about four yards away. He groaned as he got back to his feet. “Who…who’s there?” Arashi paused. “Man it must be hot out, I’m seeing heat waves here…” he stared at a ripple in the air, distorting the landscape slightly. The roar ripped through him again, and he felt a massive pressure push down on his chest, making him fall to the ground. “I…I can’t move…the hell is going on…” He tried desperately to get up again, but there was something large and heavy preventing him from doing so.
A wave of heat fell over Arashi’s face, and a white skull-like mask swam into view out of thin air. “So you can see me little human?” It laughed; it’s voice reeking of murderous intent. “Your soul will taste delicious…” It laughed harder and began to open its massive jaws, when suddenly it stopped, a blade had poked through its forehead. A deafening roar filled Arashi’s ears, as the creature faded into black particles, before vanishing completely. A man in black robes, with a sword resting across his shoulder stood where the creature had been.
He brushes hair out of his eyes and frowns. “That’s it? Man…these Hallow are just pathetic…Ah well…” He crouches down and leaps up, and vanishes from Arashi’s view.
Arashi was dumbfounded…what the hell was that creature, and who was that guy? “Man…this is nuts…I’m going to bed…” And with that he got up and broke into a run towards his house in the distance.
The following weekend…
Arashi bared his teeth, staring fixedly at the blade in his face. “You won’t get me this time Mouretsu… “ Iyashii said thickly, his nose was covered in some kind of off-white material. He grinned, and lunged forward. A scream of agony ripped the air, as Arashi felt the cold steel of the knife pierce his chest. “You…bastard…” He groaned, before collapsing in a pool of his own blood.
Light’s faded around him, everything felt cold…is this what it means…to die? Losing my senses…everything turning…dark… These thoughts and more swam through his mind, as the last breath he would take in the world left him, and all fell into nothingness.
Arashi awoke with a start, he was staring at the ceiling of his bedroom, and he could feel the mat he slept on beneath him. “Man…all just a bad dream…” He groaned and sat up, shaking his head and looking down at his lap. He yelped suddenly, as he saw some kind of chain protruding from his chest. “What the hell!?” He said in exasperation as he yanked on it. “Oh…Kohana…I’m gonna kill you…” He leaped off his bed and dashed for the door, yanking it open and flying down the hallway towards the kitchen.
What Arashi saw made him stop dead in his tracks, he stood frozen on the spot at the sight before him. HE was lying on a mat in the kitchen; a dark red spot had taken up the majority of his chest, which he saw had a deep hole in it. His eyes were glazed over, and unseeing. His mother and sister lay weeping over the lifeless form, while his father stood shaking while talking to a man with pale skin and a calm expression. “Mom?” Arashi asked tentatively, walking over to his mother, his arms shaking so bad he thought they would fall off. No response…”Kohana?” He said turning to his sister, who clutched at the lifeless Arashi’s chest.
“They can’t hear you…Mouretsu Arashi…”a feminine voice said from behind him. Arashi turned around and stared at another one of those swordsman he saw from the previous week.
“W-who are you?” Arashi stammered out, his voice clenched and shaking.
The woman smiled and placed a hand on his shoulder. “I am a Soul Reaper…I have come to guide you to a place called Soul Society, where you’ll be able to stay in peace in your afterlife.”
Arashi looked down, and stopped shaking, the truth hitting him. “So I really am dead…” he glanced back at his mourning family. “Alright…No point staying here then…” He turned back to the Soul Reaper and nodded. She smiled reassuringly and drew her blade, pressing the pommel to his forehead. Arashi felt deep warmth spread through him, and he felt himself sinking into this warmth, taking all his worries and regrets away.
Arashi found himself at a sort of gate, the woman stood next to him. “This is Soul Society, a place where most souls go after they have passed on.” She explained.
“Where do the other souls go?” Arashi questioned, staring around at the buildings around him. They were of middle class, about the same as where he used to live. “And what’s your name?”
The woman laughed softly. “I am Julia, 6th Seat of Squad 5 of the 13 Court Guard Squads. We protect Soul Society, and help souls come here as I explained earlier.” Julia paused briefly, before continuing. “As for the souls that do not make it, some lived an evil life and go through the Hell Gates until their sins are purged, sometimes lasting a few millennia, depending on how bad they were when they were alive. Others get turned into creatures called Hallow, if they still have regrets and stay in the world of the living. If the records are correct, you were attacked by one, which awoke a Spiritual Awareness.”
“You mean I wasn’t hallucinating when I saw those ghosts?” Arashi asked surprised.
Julia laughed again and shook her head. “No you weren’t hallucinating.” She smiled. “Is there anything else you need to know?”
Arashi thought for a minute. “No…I got it…Arigato Julia-san…”
“You are welcome, now I’m sure if you wander around, you can meet some people who will be willing to take you in. If you need anything, just gimme a shout, I’ll know when and where you need me.” Julia smiled and vanished leaving Arashi to go about to get used to the area.
Forty or so years later…
Arashi yawned widely, and sighed collapsing against a tree trunk. “Man…It’s always so boring here…” He complained too a boy about his age next to him.
“Get used to it Arashi…Your gonna be here a while…” He grinned and collapsed next to Arashi, sighing and leaning back against the trunk shifting to make it more comfortable.
Arashi laughed and punched him playfully in the shoulder. “You can be a real ass sometimes Kai…” Arashi said grinning back.
“Man…wouldn’t it be cool if we could be Soul Reapers?” Kai spoke suddenly, leaning forward and wrapping his arms around his knees.
Arashi grinned and nodded. “Yeah no kidding…I just want to be able to fight one…Or fight in general.”
Kai shook his head laughing. “You are ALWAYS looking for trouble.” He laughed and sighed, leaning back once again on the tree.
“Yeah…so what? It’s fun…Keeps things interesting.” Arashi retorted with a smirk. “But I don’t think we’ll get into the Soul Reaper academy…I had a brief period when I was still alive where I was spiritually aware, but…It’s not like I can harness my Reietsu or anything…Or even have any…” He sighed in frustration.
Kai sighed deeply. “Well…I mean you do have a chance…you get tired out, you do end up using spiritual energy.” Kai gazed at his friend with thoughtfulness.
“Oh come off it…I don’t have spiritual energy.” Arashi glared back with a ‘Yeah right’ expression. A tap on Arashi’s shoulder made him whip around. Julia stood there smiling. “Julia-san!” He cried out happily and embraced the young Soul Reaper. “Why are you here? Has something happened?” Arashi was bursting with questions; it has been nearly a year since he last saw his friend.
Julia giggled happily. “Yes, something HAS happened. Something very GOOD has happened. Arashi…you’ve been accepted into the Soul Reaper academy!”
Kai smirked at Arashi with an “I told you so” look, while Arashi sat there dumbfounded. “I…what?” He couldn’t believe it, a Soul Reaper…it was his most cherished dream. “Are you serious?!”
Julia laughed again, and embraced the boy that felt like a younger brother to her. “You start at noon tomorrow! And I have the entire time off from now till later in the afternoon tomorrow.”
“This is great…Oh wow this is great…” Arashi grinned, but then his happiness faltered. “But what about Kai?”
“Ah don’t worry ‘bout me…Just be sure to have good stories to tell me aight?” Kai grinned and braced arms with Arashi. The two boys laughed and wrestled around for the next few hours, before heading back to their home with Julia for the night.
Graduation day…
Arashi grinned, he was standing in front of the Commander-General. “Congratulations Mouretsu Arashi. You have graduated the Soul Reaper academy, and have been assigned 6th Seat of Squad 7. Your swift progress from sealed to Initial Release has been noticed by a few of the Captains, and as you wished to be in the 7th Squad anyway to harness your elemental capabilities...” Arashi bowed his head, he did indeed wish to master his efficiency of wind.
Over the course of the years he spent in the Seireite he trained hard and long, going on missions whenever he was asked and being loyal to anyone that would be loyal to him in turn. Eventually, he was promoted to Captain of Squad 7. Being one of the strongest fighters in all of Soul Society. Now this is not saying his is the strongest, their are a few that have bested him in sparring, or fighting. But his prowess in battle has not gone unoticed by any of the Gotei 13.
Additional Info: Arashi writes a lot, keeps a log of all of his adventures, missions, and fights inside and out of Soul Society.
General
Name: Hissorihime (Silent Princess)
Spirit Description: Hissorihime is simply, an angel. She has gray-purple hair, which reaches down past her waist. Her eyes are also a gray-purple color and are soft and kind. Her skin and overall complexion is soft, and caring. Her skintone is fairly pale, but not overly so.
Hissorihime wears a long black coat with white trim, which reaches just above her ankles. This coat splits into four at the waist. Effectively making it appear as a trench coat. She also wears a purple shirt under her coat, with a split white stripe going down the center, which also carries on down to the bottom of her black skirt. The skirt in question only reaches to about two-thirds up her thighs. Adorning her hands are a pair of simple purple gloves. And to top it all off she wears a pair of black high-heel boots, which reach about two-thirds up her shins, and have a white stripe going down the center in the front. And finally, to complete this visualization, she has a pair of massive white, feathered wings bursting from her shoulder blades.
Here is a picture to better visualize what she looks like:
Sealed: Hissorihime (Silent Princess) is a simple Katana when in it’s sealed form. The only notable thing about it is the markings on the silver oval-shaped guard. These markings depict gusts of wind blowing around in a circular pattern around the base of the blade. The blade itself is that of a normal katana, nothing special whatsoever, being about a yard long in size, and a few inches thick. The handle is wrapped in a black cloth very tightly, and the pommel is also black.
Shikai
Activation Phrase: Release your gale Hissorihime...
Appearance:After Arashi says his release phrase, his Zanpakuto shifts into white energy, which swirls up and around the entire length of his right arm, engulfing it so it looks to be made of white light. When this light fades, Arashi’s arm is covered by what looks like silvery metal armor, covering the entire length of his arm. On the top of his wrist, is an opening in the metal, about three inches wide.
Abilities: Kaze Souran: Or, Wind Control. This ability allows Arashi to control the wind to a certain extent, and as such Arashi can create strong gusts that lift him from the ground slightly, allowing him to hover just above the surface and ‘glide’ along the ground rather than actually running. In other words, he can ride the air currents, increasing his speed, and agility greatly.
Kazeken: Or, Windblade. Arashi can create semi-visible blades of highly concentrated wind from the opening in the metal on the top of his wrist, which he can then fire at his opponents from a distance, or get close and use it as a melee weapon.
Kazera: Wind Spiral. The Kazeken that Arashi utilizes, can be fired from a distance as stated above. This blade spins, while moving through the air, giving it the name Wind Spiral.
Kaze Shunpo: Wind Flash Step, it's just like it sounds, a Flash Step type move, but using the wind to propel him farther, increasing the speed and distance at which he can Flash to.
Bankai
Activation Phrase: Bankai!
Appearance: Once Arashi cries out “Bankai”, a blast of energy and wind radiates out from him, making it nearly impossible to discern any features through the cloud of Spirit Particles. When this cloud fades away, a completely changed Arashi has taken his place. Arashi’s Shinigami robes are now completely white, with a pair of white, feathered wings bursting out from his shoulder blades. Four viscous double-ended tri-bladed spears float around him, and both his arms are covered with white armor, each with an opening in the metal on the top of his wrists.
Abilities: Kaze Taitoku: Wind Mastery...Arashi has the capability to move through the air unhindered, coupled with his wings and his new master over the wind. This ability allows him to move at unbelievable speeds, only a trained eye can actually track him steadily and predict his movements. Any normal person would just see a blur streakign through the sky.
Baizou Kazera: Or Double Wind Spiral. Arashi can now release blades of concentrated wind from both of his arms instead of just one. Arashi is able to use them as melee weapons, or he can fire a pair of wind blades simultaneously, which travel spiraling around each other in a double helix. This has more destructive power then a Single Wind Spiral, and can severely wound anyone who suffers a direct hit.
Saishuu Nagare: Final Current: Arashi's Trump card while in Bankai. An enourmas blast of wind radiats out from him, and engulfs him and his opponent in a tornado, where Arashi travels around in lightning fast speeds striking at his helpless opponent who is liften in the air, right in the eye of the twister. Arashi can hold this tornado for only a couple seconds, before the energy consumption becomes to much and his Bankai fades to it's previous form. This lasts only untill I post again.
Shunpo, or Flash Step
Bakudo
Bakudo Number 1: Sai: Restrain: Arashi's version of this is strong enough that a visible chain made of reietsu is wrapped rightly around the targets arms, binding them behind there back. Arashi can tighten these chains at will, causing the victim pain, though he only does this if he's mad and trying to get information. He won't do this under normal circumstances.
Bakudo Number 57: Kakushitsuijaku Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows: Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on. To activate it, the user must draw a circle on the ground, cut into four parts with a specific character in each. The incantation animates the circle, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.
Bakudo Number 59: Rensa no Kaze Chains of Wind: This Binding Demon Art summons chains made from the very air itself to bind the target in place. These chains are unbreakable, accept by Reietsu larger then Arashi's. However it is difficult to maintain for more then a few minutes. Lasts 2 posts for those equal and higher in power to Arashi, 4 anyone from Vice Captain to 6th Seat, and 6 posts for anyone weaker then that.
Incantation: "Air condense, forming a chain. Hold the bird with a mighty grasp, and bind them to the earth!"
Bakudo Number 74: Assai Negaigoto Crushing Dream: This Binding Demon Art traps the target in a state of hullicination making them believe their worse nightmares are coming to life around them. The weakness of this Binding Art, is Arashi must not be moved, or touched or anything while channeling his Reietsu to keep the Binding Art active. If any of the above happen, the Art will be interrupted and the target will be freed without so much as a scratch. High level spiritual beings can see this as not real, but find it exceedingly difficult to actually break. Lasts up to 5 posts or so without interruptions, before he starts to get tired
Bakudo number 75: Gochūtekkan Quintet of Iron Pillars: Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars to pin a target to the ground.
Incantation: "Walls of ironsand, a priestly pagoda, glowing ironclad fireflies. Standing upright, silent to the end."
Hadou
Hadou 4: Byukurai White Lightning: Arashi's version of this fires quite literally a 2 seconds laser of electricity that will fry, and/or electrocute upon contact. Also causes spontaneous electrical explosions on contact.
Hadou 31: ShakkahoShot of Red Fire: Used by a normal shinigami with average kidou, this fires a ball of red energy. However, similar to Yun's Shakkaho, Arashi's is more of a refined beam of crimson death.
Incantation: "Ye Lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, The sea barrier surges, March on to the south!*
Hadou 54: Haien Abolishing Flames: Arashi's Haien fires a continuous stream of violet flames upon use rather then the single incinerating blast. However, it slowly depletes Arashi's reishi so he can't sustain it forever.
Hadou 66: Raikoho Thunder Roar Cannon: Arashi's version of this powerful Kidou projects a 20 foot wall of yellow energy for about a half mile, obliterating anything of 3rd class and lower utterly. To any higher they will sustain enough damage to throw them out of a battle via unconsciousness (4th and 5th) to just high damage (6th upwards) should they come in direct contact with the blast.
Hadou 66: Soren Sokatsui Twin Lotus, Blue Fire Crash Down: Arashi's hands are engulfed in blue flames, which are then launched at either a single, or pair of opponents. The blasts are roughly the size of a typical gran rey cero, at about half the strength each. It also comes with the nice little edition of exploding on contact doing splash damage to anyone within a 5 meter radius.
Incantation: "Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens."
Hadou 88: Hiryugekizokushintenraiho Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon: Fires a gigantic blast of spiritual energy in the shape of a four second stream usually as large, if not larger then the user . Rarely used, as it consumes a lot of energy, but it is one of Arashi's most devastating techniques.
Hadou 90: Kurohitsugi Black Coffin: Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition. Another rarely used technique, Arashi tries to avoid this one save as a last resort because of it's brutal fashion.
Hadou 92: Tenshu Kanadzuchi God's Hammer: A circle of electricity appears around the target. Causing them pain from the close proximity of the field of lightning but not serious damage. However, a pillar of lightning descends upon anyone trapped inside the ring, causing massive damage regardless of what class they are. For those who are Captain and higher they sustain high damage, but are still capable of fighting. For vice captain and third seat, they sustain higher damage, putting them out of the fight more then likely. For anyone lower, they would likely be killed.
Incantation: I who stand in the full light of the heavens command thee who opens the gates of hell, come forth divine lightning!
Hanki Reverse Demon: This technique nullifies an opponent's kidou by hitting them with a perfectly opposite surge of energy.

Zanpakuto
Shinigami Techniques
