Greetings new recruits.
I welcome all of you to Division 13. For all that came to this division believing that you would never do any work, prepare to be corrected; I do not tolerate members falling behind on their requirements.
This division's purpose it to be capable of stepping in and assisting any and every division in the event that they are overwhelmed. All members of this division are required to be capable of functioning in at least two other divisions; the only exceptions are for the specialist groups. I will check up on your progress regularly, and those who are not meeting this requirement will have jobs assigned to them.
It is advisable that you memorize the path around the Division grounds. It is understood that the division layout is unusually complicated compared to the others, basically being a city, but there are signs along the way, and the various sections are clearly marked. A map is provided to all new recruits, and you can register for tours at the central command.
On the specialist groups: If you choose to specialise in the research, medical, or espionage fields, you are not required to be able to handle other duties. However, keep in mind that the training for these groups is very intensive, and you will be held to a much higher standard. Your group leaders are required to send me reports on your progress biweekly, and stragglers will be expelled from the program.
For those aiming to be seated officers, you are required to have a decent record for at least three months, and you must pass tests administered by myself or a representative. If you wish to take the third seat or vice-captain position, you will be personally tested by me. You are forewarned that for either test, you are near guaranteed to be injured, and especially for the vice-captaincy exam, you run at least a moderate risk of death.
Joining the seihei is done on an invitational basis. To be considered, one must excel at the espionage studies, and gain the approval of the current head of the seihei. Good luck with that.
Any further questions should be directed to the central command.
