Name: Artemis Tientai.
Age: She appears in her late teens or young twenties; But in reality, is 231.
Gender: Female.
Race: Shinigami.
Physical Appearance: Artemis is a striking woman; one who meets and overshoots all expectations, radiating a strange aura to those who can feel it --- essentially, those with an aptitude for observation or a sense of power.
She stands quite tall for a woman, standing at 5’9”. However, her build is not visibly muscular; conversely, Artemis is quite thin, although not to the point of unhealthiness, as she could never be described as gaunt, and her figure is certainly curvaceous in the right places. Upon close inspection, Artemis is physically capable, and her body is fitted with a thin layer of sinewy muscle, which, unfortunately for her opponents, only really shows itself in battle.
Artemis’ choice in clothing is quite unique; although, it all follows a certain theme. She dons a black dress, which falls to just above her knees before slightly billowing out and halting. Beneath the dress, she wears black tights, following her color scheme (which, although a scheme, resembles more of a theme, as it consists of a single color: black). You would think that with brown hair, brown eyes and completely black armour, Artemis would look slightly on the plain side, but no! These singular colors only bring out her unique beauty, and make her even more arresting.
Artemis hair, as mentioned before, is brown. It is wild, and falls down her shoulders and back like vines, until thick wreaths of hair taper off and stop completely just before her waist. Although there is quite a lot of it – as she has grown it long – she never ties it up, preferring to wear it loose. Her hair color, a deep brown, goes perfectly with her medium skin tone and her deep hazel eyes. Messy bangs fall down Artemis’s face and stop between her ears and her chin, framing the next important feature: her face.
Although Artemis is not traditionally beautiful, she is certainly unique; she has a wild, slightly Bohemian look, from her hair to the clothes she wears. Her face is flawlessly crafted, like the work of a master sculptor. No feature is too wide, or too uneven, or too small, or too sickly. Every feature on Artemis’s face is completely and utterly suited to the others. This is what makes her conspicuous on first sight; not any flaw or feature in particular, but her significant lack in any flaws whatsoever. However, if one feature stands out – among her sharp nose, her red lips and her cheekbones, neither too prominent nor too invisible – it is her eyes, a light hazel in color and shot through with veins of brown, black, and even gold (although this could be a trick of the light). Each framed with a thick rim of lashes and dotted with a thick orb, containing more hues than the sun, Artemis’s eyes are certainly distinctive.
Personality: Artemis is a woman not easily forgotten; her tones, while perfectly articulate, are always sarcastic or cynical – And often, such is the context she speaks them in, her sarcasm is always there due to her nature being so sarcastic that her voice has naturally melded itself into being constantly sarcastic.
Artemis is a very unapproachable person due to her striking features, but her personality isn’t exactly the most revered thing in the universe – She is cold and cynical, tolerating only those she cares about, simply, because she has to – there is no other real reason behind it. She is a strict self-preservationist, believing that only she herself should be looking after herself and that she should never be looked after by anyone other than herself (or the medics when she needs medical attention). Artemis, in short, is cold, apathetic, and at the end of the day, a bitch. There is only one possible case where Artemis would ever be nice, and that would be if she was talking to someone, only those two, and if she completely trusted and had formed a bond with. She would have to care for this person, a lot, to be nice - even if it screams against ever fiber of Artemis’s being. Unfortunately, she is far too proud and arrogant to show this ‘warmer’ side of her when with anyone other than those she honestly trusts, so it isn’t seen very often, at all.
Clothing/Armour: Artemis’ armour is very intricate and is more for show than it is for protection – So it will be described from the top down, for the sake of simplicity: Artemis’ arms are the first piece to – only her forearms are covered by metallic plates, and these plates are almost completely bare, but are patterned, barely – a single rose creeps along the plates, the thorns twisting up from the elbow to the hands, where the metal spreads out to form a rose-flower shaped opening which Artemis’ hands protrude from. Artemis’ midriff is covered by a strangely shaped plate –a brassiere is built into the armour itself, which covers Artemis. This plate is perfectly fitted to her body shape, and curves around her gracefully. A spiralling pattern is etched into the breastplate, and borders the outer edges of the brassiere on both sides. At Artemis’ sides themselves, in between her shoulders and hips, the armour is meshed rather than a solid metal plate, and this, as such, gives the armour both more surface area and less weight. A thin centimetre long strip of metal is attached to the edges of the bottom halves of the brassiere, and then there is a gap in the metal: This starts at the strip of metal, which forms a rough upside down V at top – this then seamlessly curves outwards, the spirals aforementioned forming this outwards curve, but as the spirals subside, the curves meet in a long sloping U, ending a centimetre or two before any other ‘areas’ can be seen, at all. The bottom of the series of spirals connecting to the Mesh is actually separate from the lower half, which is part of the lower half of the U itself: This ‘lower’ part is one thin strip of metal, the already mentioned ‘U’ and the strip that connects it around each individual leg: just below the meshing and on the strip, there are 2 ‘M’ shapes strips of metal that are sharp – these are more ornamental than anything, however. At the top of the U is a larger U-Shaped piece of translucent-beige fabric that hangs down, covering Artemis’ exposed stomach.
Finally are the leg-pieces, which are easily the most ornate of the pieces of armour: They start just below the bottom of the U from Artemis’ breastplate, and are cylindrical with small semicircles protruding every 2 centimetres, each being a centimetre apart. Each gap is a downwards sloping V, albeit very narrowly. The semicircles are patterned also, with a small triple moon symbol in each, carved elaborately into the metal. Below that, the metal has been cut into in numerous places, and on each of Artemis’ upper legs, the armour shows an angel, carved into the metal – and beneath each of the wings, an ellipse – this stretches all the way around the leg plates, with a 2 inch gap between the tips of the ovals.
The last, separate part of Artemis’ armour is her shin guards, these are in the same style as her aforementioned leg armour: two ellipses stretching all the way around the leg plates, with a 2 inch gap between the tips of the ellipses – with the central bit of metal in the centre dotted with holes, in order to let Artemis’ skin ‘breathe’. This, however, is rarely revealed in a fight; as Artemis makes it a very clear and obvious point, as a signaling of her structure and integrity, that a kimono should be worn at all times, and she follows her belief rigorously - wearing a simple black kimono at all times.
