Arrancar
Name: Miura Islero
Gender: Male
Age: 280-ish
Ranking:Numeros
Number: 19
Base Type:Adjuchas
Physical Description:
Miura stands at roughly 5'5” and is a lightweight at only 105 lbs, making him a being of noticeably shorter stature compared to most people around him, but this is by no means a safe way to judge any combatant's strength in battle. Despite his size, he is still rather well built muscularly and has incredibly agile and swift frame that makes him dangerous to compete against in a bout of blood and blades. His face is noticeably narrow with a pointed chin and pronounced cheekbones accompanied by a somewhat long, flat nose with small almond-like eyes that one would be hard-pressed to find any emotion in. His expression is often one of cold seriousness, rarely being of any particular mood asides from the occasional grin of malicious intent or warm content from fulfilling said intent. His skin is lightly tanned and of a clean complexion, appearing to be of Spanish origin, complimented by dark, short hair in loosely bound curls.
His mask remains wrap around the top of his head and bulge outwards to the sides resembling a matador's montera hat and the rest of his outfit is similarly reminiscent of a Spanish bullfighter, donning black and white breeches on his legs and a white vest over his chest with a frilly black shirt under that. Adding flair to his ceremonial attire is a short white scarf around his neck and a long black sash around his waist that hangs down over his left side halfway down his leg. On his left thigh is his hollow hole, marking off where he was originally gored by a bull and subsequently killed.
Personality
Miura looks at combat as an art form, making himself an artist whose emphasizes the beauty of stylistic, flawless grace in the killing of one's foe. To him, to battle or to fight is barbaric and savage involving dragged out violence and blood, utterly disgraceful. In his mind, a duel must either be ended effortlessly with as a testament to the victor's artistic form being able to land swift fatal blows, or there be no clear winner with neither combatant being able of drawing blood. in summary, he believes that one should never receive minor injuries from a sword when in combat, the only wounds dealt should be fatal ones or at least a series of crippling ones that lead up to a fatal one. Such crippling injuries include attacking one's joints and tendons to disable the limbs of the target, or severing the opponents soul chain to render an opponent powerless and unable to defend against his next attacks. Anything less would be disgraceful, and undeserving of anyone who demands his respect. The kill is the ultimate destination and the only means to get to it is through beautiful and flawless skill and finesse. Killing to Miura is his main objective that must be attained in order to achieve satisfaction and relieve his pent up desire to draw the life from the victim, in essence he has a fetish for killing people and it must be done as gracefully as possible. Miura even openly and shamelessly doesn't mind comparing it to a lustful sexual fulfillment, forcing one's dominance over another, achieving the ultimate satisfaction for himself at the cost of the life of his adversary.
He views the weak in a way that they are expendable, once their usefulness is expired than so should they. This includes himself, thus making himself strive to be undefeatable in his art, so that he will never be of no more use to his superiors and always be able to keep living, continuing to kill more and more. Still, he remains calm and confident in his abilities to kill his enemies and fulfill his duties as a servant of Las Noches and of the Horror Vacui above them all. While will serve any particular espada as his master, he does not feel any attachment to them, just as he never felt any attachment to any master he's ever pretended to serve, not even an attachment to Death or any other of the Dominus. He simply follows orders from whomever has higher authority than him, determined solely by strength, and would gladly betray any of his so-called allies if it was ordered by those who rule Las Noches. He will serve any master without any questions and without any attachment. He simply chooses to serve whomever he deems worthy of his blade, and to kill those he does not deem worthy to live for whatever reason. He will not defend the life of those who are unfit to rule if in danger or cannot defend themselves on their own, but if he considers a leader fit to rule he will follow out his orders without second thought.
While he may be unable to be ranked among the Espada themselves due to his lack of sheer reiatsu comparable to a shinigami captain, he himself is one of the more powerful of the numeros, able to at least easily defeat a being of Vice-captain strength given the right circumstances. If there was need of the Exequias to acquire a new leader then Miura would be the prime candidate for such a position. Already he carries out a similar role in that he will often be ordered to kill someone, to which he will approach and declare his intention to kill and follow through, usually attempting to do so flawlessly and often succeeding. If he were to command Las Noches' executioners, he would have the mindless, identical foot soldier arrancar created by the shinigamification of mindless menos take care of lowly beings deemed unworthy to live, and forbid them from as much as drawing their blades at stronger opponents, whom he'd kill himself.
Some people consider themselves predators, or hunters, these people Miura considers no different than animals and should be killed. To Miura, just as people are separated from animals, arrancar are separated from hollows in that they are above their primal instincts. Beasts like animals and regular hollows hunt and feed to survive, but intelligent beings such as man and arrancar are superior in that they can create art and their actions are done to fulfill pleasure instead of simply survival. People who try to avoid combat or fight using stealth to avoid hard are disgraceful to Miura's honor, and he enjoys drawing them out to kill personally head on. Under normal circumstances, Miura is the embodiment of professionalism, his actions are well thought out and always taken with care and precision with no intention to make himself do more than what is necessary to make ends meet, but when in battle, his passionate desire to make the perfect kill makes him become extravagantly frivolous and obsessively dramatic at times, while he does not enjoy trying to drag out confrontations like Squad 11 members who shrug off injuries and try to avoid killing the enemy for as long as possible, he will in order to wait for the chance to land a single fatal injury on his opponent, essentially dancing his way around his opponent, parrying and avoiding attacks until the finale where he can can sink his blade into victim's body and cut out their life.
History:
There was once a young upstart from a small wealthy family of lesser noble stock from Spain, who gallivanted the world in pursuit of wealth and women. A truly nasty fellow, little morals, no responsibility to anyone but himself. One day this man had visited the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain, after hearing rumors that he had a bastard son from his last visit there. He had revisited every young girl whom he had forced himself upon just under a year ago to see if he was in fact a father, and upon finding the woman whom did in fact bear his offspring, he decided to kidnap her and sell her off into slavery and take the child back home be put to work as a servant or something along those lines, he really didn't care all too much seeing as the kid already belonged to him in his mindset. Yes, a rather unpleasant man indeed. When they arrived back in Spain, the man decided he'd just let the boy be his son seeing as he could just kill him if he became too much of a hassle.
In a few years it became clear that the boy really did take after his father in his appreciation for art, as well as his desire to end life as he saw fit. At the age of six, young Miura was well educated and refined, and had developed a habit of taking his anger out on small defenseless animals. It was from an early age that he had realized that he could take great pride his talent at killing others, and had made a habit of killing more and more until he at the age of nine had began killing human beings for fun, peasants, farmers and servants that would not be missed and could do nothing to defend their nonexistent rights. Miura decided that even that was not worth his time, and at the age of thirteen, he killed his father himself, who he knew to also be rather violent and would make a worthy challenge to survive against.
After that, Miura had decided he'd best continue on, and moved to a large city where he made a living as a a competitive matador. It was the life he had always dreamed of, slaying powerful, dangerous beasts for glory and pride. He managed to make a decent name for himself for a few years, being the most prominent of bullfighters in the area, but one day he snapped when another matador had attempted to finish off a bull he had already wounded, so in retaliation he murdered the other man in broad daylight, before a crowd of five hundred spectators. Miura continued to kill over thirty other people including professionally trained soldiers who had attempted to capture and execute him for his crimes. As he became too tired to fight on, he was suddenly attacked and gored in the leg by the wounded bull that he himself was originally going to kill before going on his own rampage. Within minutes he was bled dry from the femoral artery and dead.
Killed by the lowly beast that had been his own victim, Miura was rather quick to be driven mad in the afterlife, taking the form of a bloodthirsty monster of a hollow that haunted the bullfighting arena he had died in. As a hollow, Miura would kill every person to enter his arena in his rage until in time he had began developing a sense of new identity seperate from his original, violent self. One day he looked upon his reflection in a pool of blood he drained from one of his victims, and recognized that he had reduced to a beast himself. From then on, he abandoned his hunt for lesser beings like bulls and men, instead targeting other hollows who could provide him a challenge.
In Hueco Mundo, Miura had became a powerful hollow, already preconditioned for the eat-or-be-eaten life that was that of the menos, and upon becoming an adjuchas, was ready for all sorts of new challenges. One day, he encountered a rather strange looking hollow, one with the body and clothes resembling the shinigami whom he had killed a few of before, except in white, who spoke of some sort of kingdom up above called Las Noches where many other human-like hollows resided. To Miura this humanoid, unlike countless weak beasts whom he'd killed before, was of some value at least until Miura could learn more about this Las Noches. In due time, as much information that the arrancar knew was spilled as painfully as Miura could manage to extract, and thus with no more purpose to keep him alive Miura quickly executed his prisoner semi-humanely and painlessly to make up for the rather undignified torture until then, and he began his search for more information in how to become arrancar himself, and to challenge the Espada in combat, the reigning ten most powerful arrancar serving the Hollow King.
After many years as an arrancar, Miura had a rather unpleasant habit of killing others he'd encounter, no matter their affiliation to any of the various factions of Hueco Mundo, such as Las Noches, The Maestro, The Reapers, and other rouges like himself alike. He was certain that he'd be able to kill the infamous Espada and claim the title of the greatest warrior in all of Hueco Mundo, poor naive, overconfident Miura. The day he had first actually entered Las Noches itself, there was quite an uproar. The shinigami were attacking, and Miura was forced to side with the arrancar he had intended to fight himself, only to realize just how fruitless his ambitions were. While he himself was able to easily dispatch of the weaklings he had encountered, he witnessed for the first time, true power, as the Espada and Shinigami Captains fought, and even more yet upon witnessing the strength of the Horror Vacui's Dominus. He realized that his power was nowhere sufficient to kill them, yet, so that day he had decided to serve the white fortress' new masters until he could manage to kill his way to the top of the Espada themselves and beyond them.
Abilities (pre resurrecction ):
Additional Info:
General:
Appearance:
Miura's zanpakuto, Aurochs, is different than the usual soul cutter in that it is not shaped as a katana like the norm, but instead like a bullfighting saber. Though nowhere nearly as effective in guarding against heavy attacks like a Japanese sword, his matador blade is able to thrust and pierce with deadly pinpoint accuracy. The Most interesting aspect of the sword is that its handle is much shorter than a normal sword's, holding it in his hand more awkwardly than most other fighting styles using his wrist as a fulcrum to pivit and direct the straight and narrow blade into his enemy from unpredictable angles of penetration.
Resurrecctión
“Stampede, Aurochs!”
Armor/ Appearance:
Taking a radical transformation, Miura becomes a large minotaur-like beast standing at around 12 feet tall and weighing nearly five thousand pounds. His lower body takes the aspect of a bull, with bovine-like legs encased in thick white armor and ending with large sharpened hoofed feet. His hollow hole is now visible on his left leg, but that is of least importance to note as it moreso resembles a cattle brand than anything else, and if he is in this form you won't have the time to worry about such details as he will be trying to kill you quite aggressively.
His torso remains primarily humanoid, though radically more buff, encased in rock hard muscle mass with large humped shoulders and arched back reminiscent of a bull as well as having his arms grow much longer, becoming muscular logs that droop down touching the ground at his knuckles which also become encased in white armor, resembling hoofed feet when looked at head on. The helmet on his head grows, the side bulges extending into sharpened bull horns pointing forward for optimal goring capability while the remainder of his head is transformed into a bull's skull.
Abilities:
One should note that Miura does not particularly enjoy the prospect of having to use his resurrecction form in combat, as it is crude, brutish, and appalling to the fine art of killing. But nonetheless, it gets the job done if brutality is what measures call for in order to obtain that ever-desired kill. Miura in his Aurochs form is a force of pure physical strength and might, able to use his massive body to its fullest potential in terms of trampling, crushing and impaling everything that stands in his path.
His hooves are sharp, and because of that and their semi-circular shape he is able to sever the heads of his enemies with a single stomp to the neck should they be fallen to the ground, which is of course dependent of the victim's own strength but still most beings would find themselves decapitated under his hoof. His large arms are able to pummel enemies into a pulp as his armor-plated knuckles act as weapons all on their own with more force behind each punch to shatter bones and demolish stone walls as if someone was to launch a rocket-propelled sledgehammer into a sheet of quarter-inch plywood. His horns are also fully capable of goring people in his way and can even crack released zanpakuto belonging to shinigami of similar strength to himself if they were to try and block a head-on attack (no pun intended.) From his horns, Miura can also fire powerful cero blasts at a surprisingly fast pace. In this form he is unable to use sonido, but can still rush forth at horrifyingly fast speed and tends to do so recklessly in straight charges, making his movements easy to predict but deadly if you can't get out of the way in time.
Bala
Miura's bala is a somewhat slower than the usual arrancar bullet attack, but also packs slightly more of a punch. It is launched exclusively from his left hand, as his right is reserved for carrying his beloved sword, and is usually fired in rapid bursts of 2-5 shots in a row. This is done to weaken a foe and prepare them for one of his finishing blows dealt most likely with his sword.
Cero
Fired from the tips of his extended fingers on his flat left hand, almost resembling a fascist salute, Miura rarely uses cero as he tends to prefer reserving it's highly concentrated attack power for a finishing attack, but he still prefers using his blade to deal the lethal blow. If he does land a mortal wound with his blade and the enemy is still able to keep fighting instead of bleed to death on the spot, then he'll likely use his cero at point-blank to destroy the already injured opponent. In resurrecction he can shoot two beams simultaneously from his horns with amazing firepower.
Garganta
Little can be said as to what makes Miura's use of garganta different than any other arrancar, so moving on...
Hierro
The iron skin of the arrancar is one of Miura's more potent abilities that accent his style. His hierro is actually stronger on different parts of his body, essentially his protects his arms, legs and other parts that injuries would be less than fatal greatly, but is thinner at his joints and over his vital organs, essentially making it so that he can shrug off minor lacerations and cuts easily but crippling or fatal wounds will be more effective against him. If he were to fight an exact copy of himself, the locations he would attack on anyone else would be the places that should be targeted on himself. This is in some sort of way a means to make his enemies try to imitate his style and thus allowing his combat to be more of an art as he would prefer.
Negacion
Same as garganta, little differentiates this impenetrable interdimensional force-field encased tractor beam from any other menos', so move along...
Pesquisa
Miura's soul-detecting sonar is fairly different than the usual, in both how he performs it and how the extent of it's capabilities. The matador arrancar does raise his left arm straight as if he were saluting to a fascist dictator, while also sticking his blade into the ground to sense and judge the location and strength of spirit signatures more accurately so he can anticipate how much of a challenge his opponent will pose. If fighting in an aerial battle, he simply raises his blade into the air like an antennae for a similar, though not as clearly accurate result. At close range, within 10 feet of a target, he is able to not only see the spirit pressure of his adversaries, but also the vital concentrations of spirit energy within their bodies, allowing him to attack with pinpoint accuracy targeting the vital organs, or even making him able to sever one's soul chain and ribbon, as a form of ultimate punishment and humiliation before he ends the opponent's life.
Sonido
Miura's most commonly used attack is a quick stab to the target areas of his foes, done so while using the arrancar-version of the shinigami's instant-relocation technique. Miura can use sonido very proficiently, able to be used nearly constantly as long as only performed in short distances of under ten feet per use, and only can be used consecutively to that extent in a period of under 5 seconds. And longer than that and he will become too tired to fight. He is unable to use sonido while in resurrecction, thus adding to his dislike of that brutish state.

Roleplay Sample:
Not a lot had changed in the past few days since the vacant commanding seat in the 2nd division was finally filled by the prominent former vice-captain, Tsuno Azuka. While one would expect the raise to captain-rank and joining the ranks of top-elite withing the Gotei 13, as well as assuming command of the Soul Society's most secretive organization of assassins and infiltrators, the Onmitsukido, to be full of hectic and busy administrative duties, one would be surprised to realize just how much more freedom the seemingly always working shinigami was able to enjoy. Tsuno was always always used to doing everything he could, both administratively and hands-on to ensure that everything was still running as smooth as possible after the death of the previous captain, and even before then. With the responsibilities of being one of the newest captains in the Gotei 13, Tsuno decided to cut back on the quantity of duties he unnecessarily handled and began focusing even more on the few that were most important to him. Those duties being those of a Squad Captain and Corps. Commander, and also husband and soon-to-be father.
Tsuno watched over the sleeping frame of Korin, his long-time bride since before ever even dying the first time in the world of the living at least 300 years ago. Of course he was unable to remember the details of their life together before coming to Soul Society, but he did know that he would always be there to look after her. He smiled as he roused from her gentle nap, and brushed away her silky black hair to plant a light kiss on her forehead.
"You have to go now, don't you dear?" She asked sleepily, already knowing the answer to her own question.
"Only for a while," her husband grinned softly as he began to stand straight, stretching and yawning giving away that he too had not long ago roused from his own much needed sleep.
"You know I'll be back this afternoon to have dinner ready, plus I also already prepared yakitori for you to eat if you're hungry before then. Anything else you need for when I get back?"
"Hmmm," the woman pondered, propping herself up on the tatami mat she was laying on. "Yeah, just one thing. Make sure to come back in one piece, I'll kill you if you get hurt out there, got it?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'd never dare piss you off if my life depended on it, dear." Tsuno chuckled as he reached his arms around her in embrace, breaking off after a good ten second hug, making his way to the balcony that oversaw the jurisdiction of Squad Two within the Seireitei while putting on the freshly new white captain's haori with the insignia of the Second Division on it's back and lined with a dark red interior. Placed the dark sunglasses he was most commonly seen wearing on his face, Tsuno glared into the sun as he slipped the sheathed zanpakuto into the back of his sash.
His eyes followed the fluttering silhouette of a Hell Butterfly and reached out his hand, letting it perch on his extended index finger.
*** "To any captain in the area, This is Captain Sake Kruzyama with an urgent notice.. Districts 75-80 in the Rukongai in desperate need of assistance... this is not a test... meet me on the East Gate of the Seireitei immediately..." ***
Now this was something worthwhile, Tsuno considered. Might as well lend a hand since Captain Kruzyama is in need of it. Tsuno released the beautiful messenger back into the sky to go about its business, whatever that may have been, who knows what Hell Butterflies did on their own time? In any case, Tsuno raised his hand in a gesturing motion, signaling a generic masked member of the Executive Militia to come to his side like as if from thin air, always on duty for their master's orders.
"Inform the seated officers of Squad Two to go about their own business as usual today, I have pressing matters to attend to regarding business with the captain of Squad Three. That is all, dismissed."
"Yes sir." The guardsman replied and promptly vanished as fast as he had appeared. Tsuno also disappeared into thin air, leaving only a breezy vacuum of air from the instant speed of his shunpo.
Captain Azuka very readily made his way towards the East Gate of Seireitei, in search of Captain Kruzyama. Arriving at the large doorway separating Seireitei from Rukongai, Tsuno perched himself atop a small building overlooking the street below. It wouldn't be long for him to make contact with Sake and find out what seemed to be the emergency in the outskirts of Rukongai, as much as Tsuno wouldn't mourn the loss of the lawless thugs and rogues who polluted the area, there were still innocent people who'd be harmed if not for people like him looking after the weak. The slender and somewhat short, yet incredibly fit captain stepped forward, dropping to the ground as he decided to pass the gate and enter Rukongai East District 1 and wait there after not no signs of the other captain on the Seireitei side.

Zanpakuto
General:
Hollow Techniques
