It was painfully apparent that Soul Society was desperate and still recovering from the last mission when Tsuno watched as vice-captains and even seated officers began filing into the meeting room. It may have made him feel somewhat hypocritical considering his only recent promotion out of vice-captaincy and definitely an asshole to think it but it was almost pointless letting in people too weak to make a difference. Granted, he did not question the leadership abilities or experience of the present vice-captains and seated officers, but he did understand the grim reality that brilliant organization and strategy could easily be pointless when faced against a vastly superior adversary. An ambush of ten thousand poison-tipped flaming arrows would bounce off harmlessly against the hull of a battleship, and Tsuno did not want Soul Society to cripple itself by sending its limited swords to fight impossible fights when regular hollows would still need slaying on a regular basis that high-ranking shinigami would be too busy to deal with. Sending Yasuo, Aiko, and Sagara to deal with Espada-rank enemies would be suicidal, however, Tsuno was willing to reason and find some way for everyone present to feel valuable and confident in their involvement for the upcoming battle. "If I may speak,: Tsuno began, despite the fact that it was clear that nobody was really sticking to a formal, speak-when-addressed format. "I understand that this clearly is intended as a trap, but the Commander is far from helpless. Asides from him being the most powerful warrior of all the Soul Society, he will be accompanied by the Saigotschuu and Daichi. If anyone else is that worried for his safety, then perhaps Shimizu could also accompany Irashi-sama?" Tsuno did not want to single Rin out, but he was well aware of her amazing prowess as a warrior and if nothing else, her added protection would be beneficial if anyone else was to doubt the capabilities of Soul Society's top three captains. The Horror Vacui's power was phenomenal, yes, but last time they were ambushed during a full-blown retreat. "If not, then at least I recommend that other than the Commander and his escorts, any other available captains such as Shimizu, Shiboo, and myself be accompanied by Yasuo, Aiko, Sagara, and any other small handful of elite combatants to spread throughout the city to confront any Espada who might otherwise close in on and attempt to ambush the Commander. That being said, I won't argue that Soul Society itself needs to be protected during this time, but we need to consider all of our options." - As vizard continued to penetrate the Brotherhood's base, wanton violence was inflicted to even the most innocent of inhabitants of the school. Soon after a blood-curdling scream of pain could be heard echoing from the receptionist office, those invaders would encounter their first formidable resistance when a large arrow-shaped projectile aimed at the shoulder of the apparent leader of this attack squad came flying down the hallway and clean through the window of a door. Bursting through immediately afterwards to confront the invaders were Galihan and his three amigos. They would never let these despicable assailants target Torre-sama, or harm anyone else under their protection. "Blood of the innocent, absolutely unforgivable. Roja, Temor, Alegria, you three hold off his followers while I handle this bastard. They'll never raise their blades against Victoria-sama or anyone innocent ever again." While it may have seemed ridiculous, a lone quincy child challenging a vizard, hopefully that deception would be what the ex-'spada needed to lure his enemy into a false confidence. All things considered, Galihan understood that after this it would probably be pointless keeping up the charade from the very humans who were supposed to trust him as a brotherhood, so if this guy was going to prove to be a challenge then he'd simply discard the gigai and let loose with what hollow strength he still had. While not close to his former Cuatro Espada power, if Galihan were to go all out even in his reduced form, surely he'd be able to defeat this man. - So many explosions rocked the facility sending vibrations of soothing death through the cybernetically-augmented bones of the semi-human Daniel. One smaller hollow did appear from around the corner to rush him, but the large armored Battle Operative gave the beast no thought and ripped it to pieces in a shower of pure reiatsu bullets that had nearly caught a group of grunts in the crossfire who hurried on by, guns a blazing down the hallway at an intersection. A few moments later a large explosion of energy killed those very soldiers and cut a hole in the wall where a second hollow, resembling a much more colossal version of the previous was charging, along with two other hollows and two shinigami. Despicable bastards, only their ultimate destruction would ensure the safety of mankind. Raising his energy cannon, Daniel fired a barrage of medium-sized energy shells that exploded and made the charging beast falter but it still continued towards him, snarling and snapping with its' mask's large white teeth. "Ghost-scum! Suffer and burn!" Daniel leaped back several meters and avoided being chomped down on, and continued his assault on the hollow by alternating his firing mode from rapid to medium fire. Several dozens of tiny energy rounds followed by a larger exploding shell began to cripple the hollow and render it unable to continue its charge until it collapsed for a moment before getting back to its feet, enraged and howling. At that point, Daniel had managed to slowly edge his way back to another large doorway and let off a large beam of energy akin to what they would have called cero from his cannon towards the hollow before falling back through the door behind him to find a more strategic location to ensure their destruction. Hopefully he'd encounter another Battle Operative who could help him split up the attackers in half from 4-on-1 to only 2-on-1. Not that Daniel particularly enjoyed the prospect of sharing the kills and glory, but he did understand the need to survive. He booked it around the corner with the large Hollow in pursuit, injured from the powerful energy attack but still as dangerous as ever and Daniel needed some time for his cannon to cool down after having fired its beam. Luckily, a second shot was fired and finished the hollow off. Daniel looked ahead to see a man holding a cannon similar to his own, except larger and seeming to pack a stronger punch even though the man's armor hinted that he was in fact a Stealth Operative. What would a Stealth Operative be doing with a heavy weapon clearly intended for a Battle Operative? No matter, as long as they both pointed their own guns in the same direction, Daniel was content with having to put up with anyone for now. "There should be two more hollows and two shinigami showing up any moment now. They're probably tougher than they appear, especially the shinigami. Don't let the swords fool you, they can close the distance in a heartbeat or even attack at range using some sort of magic. The moment you see them, open up and GIVE THEM HELL!" Just as Daniel began to finish up giving the people a little heads up, the two hollows came hurling around the bend and one of them dropped low covering itself in heavily armored plates like a mix between a hedgehog and an armadillo and was a shield that protected its' partner. The second hollow appeared to be some sort of spider that began to launch steel-like threads to hold the pair in place in the hallway and from it hundreds of tiny versions of itself began to crawl towards the defending humans. The tiny spider hollows were being cut down effortlessly, but their numbers would become tiresome as some men had to reload or wait for their weapons to recharge or cool off. The hollows inched closer ever moment towards Daniel, the Stealth Operative and their backup consisting of four other soldiers and a scientist. What they needed was to get past the armored hull of the first hollow using some sort of explosive, which he had learned from the Helsinki mission to be very effective against hollow armor, devastating compared to reiatsu-charged bullets which were already proven to be more powerful then pure-energy ones.

Sin looked around as the hollows that had been affected by his command were decimated in an instant, and all he saw was a faint glimmer of shining mist for an instant before it vanished. Creating a platform of sand, Sin stepped onto it and raised himself up above the battlefield, trying to get an idea of what it was that had attacked, unable to see anything again, he sighed and turned his attentions to the people below him, the masked warriors were showing the upper hand, their powers were obviously beyond that of their opponents. Hmm, seems I wasn’t needed here after all.[/i] He began to lower himself, until a familiar voice rang through his skull. ” Ahhh – Sssssin, we were sssss-told you might interfere. All posssssible reactions have been predicted and accounted for. You included...”[/b]
Sin didn’t have time to turn about, a ball of lightning struck him in the back, knocking him from the sand platform and sending him crashing to the ground. Sickening cracking sounds issued from the impact as his bones were broken with the impact. As he pulled himself up, a tall European-esque man fell to the ground, a massive gaping hole in his chest pumping blood onto the ground below as a thin smoke issued from the wound. Sin placed his hand on the chest of the man as he coughed blood and struggled to draw breath. I shall end your pain, masked warrior, so that you might pass onto the next world in peace.[/i] Sand rose from the ground and encased the man, and within moments, the sand blew away, leaving nothing behind. Sin stood and stretched, the broken bones had reversed themselves, returning to a more complete form. Coatl, I should have expected a traitorous snake such as you to be involved in this. I’ve noticed no other Arrancar seem to be involved around here; mayhap your Menos overlords didn’t deem you worthy of being with them? I wouldn’t be surprised if you were still nothing to them.[/i] Sin turned about, leapt into the air, and sealed his ressureccion, powerful as it was, his original form is what he had used to do battle with Coatl before, and would do so again. It was a tradition, and tradition was a good thing, even in war.
Black reptilian wings stretched afar, Sin took to the sky, scanning the area, searching for the faintest hint of mist, towards which Sin unleashed a torrent of Soul Fire, blanketing the area in which he had seen the glint of Coatl’s existence, and hoping to force him out into a more visible form.

Kuroi smiled, there was more and more of these intruders coming, and she was in the mood to tear things apart. Three masked men approached her, swords drawn, and moving at high speeds. Victoria beside her seemed to be otherwise occupied with her own opponents, and Kuroi was more than happy to deal with this lot herself. The first of the three men raised his hand and threw a ball of blue fire at Kuroi, who stepped out of the way with a smirk, she had hoped they would have more than this in store for her, and she was not to be let down.
The second two men split to either side of her, bringing their blades at her from either side, met by shield and sword which held them in place. Kuroi smiled again, these Vaizards had extraordinary strength, enough so that she was struggling to hold them in place. ”Oh, you boys are strong, I like that, makes things more fun.”[/b] Kuroir pushed out on both sides, and moved with incredible speed, knocking back the Vaizard’s blades, and plunging her own through the chest of one of them. In doing so, the third man saw an opportunity to attack, and raised his sword, which glistened with a pale green light, before a scythe blade burst through his chest, and Akumu hovered behind him, a wicked smile splitting his face. Kuroi span and raised her blade, blocking an overhead slash from the last remaining Vaizard. His sword had changed, and was now much bigger, and the strength with which he brought his blade down was enough to force Kuroi to raise her shield as well in order to block the blade. She turned over to see Akumu grinning over the twitching body of the now dead Vaizard. ”Akumu you bastard, that one was mine…”[/b] Akumu simply sighed and floated around, keeping an eye on the continuing battle between Kuroi and the last Vaizard.
The Vaizard who was left realised he was gaining the upper hand, and redoubled the force with which he pushed down on Kuroi, forcing her onto one knee. Kuroi moved slowly, and repositioned herself as he pushed down again with even greater force, this time knocking her to the ground. As she fell though, she spread her legs so that she kicked both of his out from under him, causing him to impale himself on her blade. She lifted her mask and looked at the man as his own mask crumbled and fell to the floor before him. ”You know, you were a lot of fun.”[/b] She smiled and threw his body off of her blade, before standing and dusting herself off, when she moved forth to see if anyone else was coming. And they were, another group of Vaizards was heading towards them, to which Kuroi lowered her mask and performed a shot pirouette, ending with her blade facing towards the new arrivals. ”Entertain me boys, I’m in the mood for a massacre, but it wouldn’t be no fun if you didn’t fight back.”[/b]

Oketsu winced as he heard the sickening crunch that preceded the ending of his phone call, things were not going well. The Vaizard who was approaching stopped and raised his arm, and the two bestial hollows charged forth towards Oketsu. Their reiatsu flared, but was so low Oketsu barely even noticed it, and as they leapt into the air Oketsu simply laughed, pivoting on the spot and slamming both into the ground, before stabbing Genesis through both of their masks simultaneously as they twitched and vanished with a faint bestial scream. The Vaizard across from Oketsu cracked his neck and began to move towards Oketsu, and while Oketsu couldn’t hear it, by seeing the dramatic changes on his blade, Oketsu was certain his shikai had been released.
The Vaizard’s blade warped and bent into an extended bladed whip which dripped with a glowing blue liquid. Poison? Spiritual poison? I am going to love this…”[/i] The Vaizard cracked the whip, and drops of the liquid flew forth and sprayed the ground, slowly burning through the ground as steam rose from the small holes. He cracked his neck and ran forward, swinging the whip so that the acidic liquid flew straight at Oketsu. Oketsu leapt into the air and held Genesis forward, ”Decimate the unholy, Genesis!”
As Genesis extended into its spear form, and the spiritual wingframes formed behind Oketsu, he span in mid air and swung Genesis, crackling white energy tracing through the air and launching towards the Vaizard on the ground. The Vaizard dodged easily, and returned fire with another spray of acid which flew through the air, hissing menacingly as it did. Oketsu turned to his side, and thanked his misfortune that the acid flew straight through where his arm used to be, being crippled had its upsides after all!
Spinning through the air, Oketsu landed with Genesis in the ground, and realised the impact with which he had hit the ground was far greater than he had expected, and he could not pull Genesis’ head from the concrete. ”Excuse me, I seem to be stuck here, would you mind giving me a second?”[/color] Oketsu’s opponent simply laughed and dashed towards Oketsu, his whip forming into a long solid blade, coated in steaming acid, poised to strike, until Oketsu smiled. When he did, a burst of bright white energy soared through the ground and cleaved the oncoming Vaizard through the midsection, causing him to fall to the ground in a bloodied heap as his spine was split in two, severing his nerves. ”Right, that’s you lot dealt with, I need to go find out why Vaizard are attacking my library with hollows…”
Oketsu drew his phone and, with no small amount of difficulty, called Faith. ”Faith, stay here, and don’t let ANYONE in unless I call you from this phone. You’re tech savvy, you know how that ‘caller ID’ stuff works, don’t let anyone fool you, I need to pay Ms. Ashley a visit, I’ll be back soon.”[/b] With that said, Oketsu leapt off and started moving towards the cathedral, Ashley had said she knew what every Vaizard in the area was doing, so Oketsu was sure she would know why one was attacking him, and more importantly, Oketsu would find out if she was behind it.

Richard couldn't help but grin victoriously as dozens of the invading forces were obliterated by the hidden blastdoors and the explosive reiatsu enriched gas he had seeped into the closed spaces. The explosions this produced had been even more powerful than he had predicted and had nearly caused some of the blastdoors to fail, but he was satisfied to see that not one of them had fallen due to the force and with the few assailants that had escaped the imminent purge the NWO soldiers easily wiped them out. Watching this from one of the many security cameras around the facility, Richard then turned his attention to the reiatsu and radar grid that was currently displaying a detailed overview of the entire HQ as a 3D map, several nearby displays showing individual floors and they were filled with white dots, with red dots coming from the main hangar of the Armor Divisions area of the facility signifying more enemies were on their way.
Something there caught his attention though, and as he brought up the grid of the invaded area he saw how there were a few enemy signatures at the edge of one of the recently dropped blastdoors... Quickly switching his attention to the security feed showing the specific area he watched how the large thick door turned a blazing white before a large hole was burned straight through it killing several Grunts that had been too close. Richard cursed angrily as he watched what was no doubt the leaders, or at least some kind of elite group as they made their way through the hole seemingly unharmed by the explosion and the raging hellfire, with one of the three hollows charging straight at someone though the cameras current position didn't allow him to see who. As they went forward the one who seemed to be the leader pointed a cylindrical object that was most likely a released zanpakutou at a group of grunts and in the blink of an eye they were simply gone. Though he hated to admit it Richard had no idea what the shinigami had just done, other than that it was some form of offensive power... He hoped they would be able to study it later however, if it proved an efficient attack it could be a viable alternative to Operative Takahashi's little energy guzzling pet project... Why he kept approving funds to the Stealth Operative he didn't know, though his theories did seem sound on paper so maybe the fault was that their technology itself wasn't ready yet?
Whatever the case they now had additional outbreaks and from the readings Richard was getting outside the facility the newly arrived Reginald was battling the outside forces and in case there was no further reinforcements sent to aid the shinigami or hollow, that meant they would soon be battling on two fronts which as most well-versed in warfare knew was not something you wanted to happen if your forces were limited. Either way Richard still had tricks up his sleeve, though to prevent causing trouble for the defending soldiers Richard turned his attention to those making their way through alternative access points from those currently closed off or on fire. Richard watched for a short while as small groups filtered in through different areas, breaking through several of the standard blast doors as they went though as they were beginning to encroach on the defending forces it was time to take action.
Once again there was an internal rumbling as a massive blastdoor shot out from the wall itself and blocked the path of the attackers though as Richard watched through a nearby hidden camera he noted how they were suddenly backing away, seemingly having been informed of the trap he had sprung earlier though he had expected and partially hoped for this because the moment they turned a loose panel in the ceiling slid to the side as a large machine-gun like turret lowered from it and began shredding the running attackers to pieces as bullets scattered all over the corridor in mere seconds allowing barely no room for evasive action. This was not to say all of them were made into paste in a split second of course, those among them that were of more significant strength managed to take shelter or defend themselves fast enough to avoid an instant death though under the never-ending barrage a few of the initial survivors fell as well until one of the stronger individuals managed to fire off a reiatsu projectile that destroyed the semi-automated defense turret. However having been so pre-occupied with the turrets fire the few remaining shinigami or hollow did not have time to react when a blastdoor on the other end slammed shut, and just moments after they realized they had been caught a dozen more explosions rocked the facility. For a sudden surprise attack the NWO managed to hold it off remarkably well so far, it was truly unfortunate Y1 had slipped out of their grasp though as they could otherwise have sent it off to deal with that bothersome leader individual... Well, he did have other alternatives so not a big deal.
---
Things were truly escalating beyond control in Karakura and other parts of Tokyo as all manner of spirits and spiritually aware humans began attacking certain points throughout the city. In what could potentially be called luck Edrian had spent the entire previous day and night at the Bount compound where he acted as a contact and mediator between them and the Brotherhood easing tension while also attempting to find a mutually beneficial solution so they could coexist. Not an easy task but one Edrian greatly preferred to bloodshed, being an all-around peace-loving guy. Though Edrian's own ability to sense and perceive reiatsu was nothing to scoff at, it was indeed way above the norm for someone his level, it had been Geheimnis who had pointed out the presence of arrancar within the city as they seemed to be working to hide their presence though what their exact purpose was, he could not tell and he knew it would be foolish to try and speak with one as he was probably the physically weakest Bount around and would most likely end up skewered in a second...
That was not to say he could just watch and do nothing however, that was not Edrian's style (much to Geheimnis annoyance) and after making sure the Brotherhood was managing to deal with the attack and confirming his fears that the attackers were indeed Vizard he quickly moved toward the Masked Syndicate's home, the grand cathedral. Though he had never been inside the large structure Edrian knew full well that was were the Vizard lived and he had spoken with a few of them at times though usually they seemed to hold themselves over "mortals" such as him... Still he had seen no reason for them to attack the Brotherhood, he just couldn't fathom what could be gained by doing so...
It didn't take very long for him to reach one of the nearby buildings surrounding the Cathedral and once reaching it his suspicions that something foul being afoot was confirmed, though he would never have expected to see humans fighting alongside hollow against the vizard... Had it just been the humans he could have seen it as a pre-emptive counter-attack by the Brotherhood, though despite her merciless behaviour in battle he was pretty sure she'd try to solve the issue through use of diplomacy or at least not throw countless lives away against superior opponents... No something else was going on here, though he needed more data to truly piece it together. No doubt the Arrancar was behind it, but for what purpose? They seemed like the kind of group that would look down of humans as pathetic and unworthy of attention, was it these Horror Vacui that Victoria had spoken off? Too many questions and too few answers... After this was over he'd try to press her for some answers, she had to know more than she had told them so far. Suddenly though, Geheimnis began to speak, having previously only been humming an annoying tune the book-shaped doll had picked up from some electronics store they had passed by the previous day.
"Hey, you might want to move."
Having been so caught in his thoughts Edrian had completely missed the reiatsu signature of a younger and less experienced Vizard who had snuck up on him from behind right as the late teen-looking boy made a jumping slash at Edrian who just barely managed to side-step the attack though it did cut part of his robe-like sleeve. "Well guess that will teach you to zone out IN THE MIDDLE OF A FREAKING WARZONE!" Geheimnis yelled angrily though the doll also seemed a bit amused, Edrian on the other hand had a look of surprise and a slight bit of fright in his eyes as he saw the blade sweep down right in-front of him as small pieces of blue fabric slowly fell to the ground. With his wits about him Edrian quickly began to jump back several steps as he took up a ready stance though anyone with experience could probably tell he seemed reluctant to engage in battle. "I'm not your enemy! Someone's attacking the Brotherhood as well, this is not their work! Let me speak with Ashley!" Edrian exclaimed in-between desperate and somewhat comical dodging of the young vizards exaggerated slashes. Edrian hoped he didn't have to use his powers against this fool, but if he wouldn't listen there would be little he could do, he couldn't simply let this battle rage on. Though almost out of nowhere a massive black dragon shot up into the sky from before the Cathedral causing both Edrian and the Vizard to pause though the former still had the wits about him to react should the other chose to exploit the opportunity. Whatever that... Thing... Was it did not seem interested in the battle itself for now.

Well that went well, you know, EVERYONE talking back like a bunch of smarmy five year olds who didn’t think their elders knew anything. It seemed everybody had an opinion and perhaps the open policy of this leadership was backfiring because not a one of them had problem voicing them, loudly, annoyingly. Or, at the very least these were the thoughts of Kuatura who was still standing next to the Commander General as this entire scene played out. He kept calm as they all had their way with the floor but as each one passed he grew increasingly angered by their forwardness. Finally he was tired of it and stepped forward, pointing at nobody in particular.
“Who do you think you all are? Or rather who do you think you are talking to?” He stepped back and made an aggravated motion with his hands around his head, “Do you think the Commander General would order you without first considering things? He was making plans when you all were-”
Kazuma seemed ready to come forward several times, then perhaps he considered that maybe the other Captains could use some accosting and backed off. Thus it was not he but another voice from the back of the room that intruded and caused the Vice-captain to stop.
“Was’ I thin' the Vyse-capn’s try’ say-” It began but now people were turning to the new arrival. He was a tall man that appeared to be in his early thirties, black hair tightly plastered backward, wearing the outfit of Seireitei nobility with the Central 46 badge on his shoulder. He spoke in a thick difficult to ascertain dialect. Anytime he paused in his speech he brought his hand to his face and would chew on a stick he was holding. In all despite the patch he certainly didn’t give the appearance or demeanor of a higher-up.
He continued speaking, “S’ tha’ Syntrul four’six fahyth in yas’ah has 'come…” he sighed as if searching for the word before deciding upon it and finishing, “Stra’ne-ud”, it seemed in retrospect he had been attempting to figure out how to say ’Strained’ in a way they could all understand him…and failed.
A black cat appeared on Yuns shoulder and said quite clearly where everybody could hear, “Wh-what did he say?”
The Commander General shifted slightly, if anybody caught it they would realize he had been attempting to keep this from happening. Everybody knew that the Royalty and Central 46 had been silently judging the Gotei 13 leadership since the blatant failure in Horror Vacui. For the last few years the Gotei 13 had been gaining ground in self-control, many had thought within a generation the Central 46 would be a thing of the past. In a day that had all gone out the window and a number of restrictions had once more been placed upon them, mostly requiring all paperwork to go directly through them. Most in the room would realize that the bureaucrats were using the slip up to once more reassert power over the shinigami. It was a delicate dance, of course the Gotei 13 could simply ignore the Central 46 but in doing so they would lose the support of much of the Royalty which was one of their best ways of recruiting new members, either through skilled youngsters amongst the royals or by utilizing the royals financial means to scan Rukongai for bright new recruits.
He motioned toward the man, “Masaka Ikagi, one of the speakers from Central 46 that will be acting as a go-between for us.” Ikagi bowed before Kazuma looked to him, “Well…you heard them, you know what I’ve voiced already.”
Ikagi nodded a few times while chewing on his nail and looking around the room before he came to a conclusion, “K’ k’. You has' go genahral, beyon’s this’n be tha’ stip’uh’lution from thah C-for’six we has confuh…” He seemed to realize nobody understood that word and rethought, “We has seeyan tha’ the wan a’ Tokyo towe’ is thah wan nam’ Death. You all forgets, thah-t thah Comman’ Genahral.” Kazuma nodded but couldn’t say anything before Ikagi continued to speak, “Thin’ though I’ze buy yah time. Sends Kuatura wis Aiko’n’Sagaras's'Yasuo. They’se may noz’ 'nuf ‘lone buh’ they still strong, togeth’ they mak’ capain'an’ thah they don’ get in any'n'capn way? Other’wise send thah seets'n'fah now bout Tokyo towe’ an’n hol’da otha back by’n now while I’ze go an’ speakin thah’C-for’six. In’n’nd they ains gon’gree but no' say I gots tah run out’bout. I‘ a‘so requ‘sn Zero Division, see we can‘n‘nah‘ge‘ an ‘spirnced capn‘ o‘two.”
Chaos quipped again, “I think he's making this up as he goes to confuse us...”, this time Yun reached up and grabbed the cat by the head and squeezed, making Chaos explode in a puff of red smoke.
Kazuma spoke to those surrounding, “Well then you heard the man. That’s all we can do right now, Fifth, Sixth and Eleven will combine, I’ll send Kuatura with you. Remember he is my Vice-captain and communication and control is our specialty even if it is sometimes forgotten. I will however be attending though as has been pointed out some of you seem to forget who I am, beyond that with Death, the seeming leader being present it will be necessary that I am there…do any of you plan to defeat him?” The question was pointed as if to say ‘I dare you to respond’.
Kazuma turned away from them, “So go now, get the seated members together and prepared for insertion. Keep any other active members on backup, we’ll call it the Seireitei defense squad for now but they need to be ready should we need backup on the other side in an instant.”
He then motioned them off, Kuatura traveled with Aiko and Sagara as they left. As they were leaving Chaos appeared on Yuns shoulder again and just as they walked out the door he said, “I'm still seriously convinced he's just fucking with us.”
Once all the captains were gone he looked to the “invader”, “Ikagi…why would you help?”
Ikagi had turned around and was about to walk out before he looked over his shoulder to the General, “My’n busnuss plan mah’n be different fro’ you’n bah I’n’nah wan’ dozahn…hundid die, ‘clude some I know fah’no. Plus’n, c-for’six plan’o’nah, can’ much do with’n’ou’ a Seireitei to contro’”
He smiled at the commander and then left.
--------------------------
Sin released a row of black fire at a glimmer of mist but by the time it hit his invisible opponent was long gone. As he prodded with words a low laugh echoed to him from no particular direction.
“Ah are we using real names now? How cute. Nice try but you should realize I am far to old to be cowed by such displays, and unlike you I actually know how to control my instincts. Whose to say I‘m not in charge?”
Another row of electricity was launched at Sin though now that he was aware his chances of dodging it were far more likely, especially since Coatl was keeping his distance. This would however make it difficult for Sin to retaliate and even if he did there was no target where the attack had been launched from by the time he got an angle at it. However he wasn’t out as a long inhuman squeal sounded out from below and when Sin turned to look a young brown-haired girl had shoved a machete clear through the black form of his foe.
He was as he had long appeared, a spindly black humanoid form with bird like wings spreading from the back, stuck upon a massive and whipping serpents body. The remnant mask was equal measures snake and avian. However before any further actions could be taken it turned to mist on the girls blade and disappeared into the air, unbeknownst to Sin this girl, Ash, could probably have killed Coatl but did not want to waste energy and did not currently realize the grief she could be saving them all by doing so. Ash went to directing several individuals around her and once done turned her attentions to Sin high above, him being an oddity, while Coatl spoke to them.
“Ah well, this day is hardly over, I suspect we shall see each other again.” Any sign of his presence seemed to disappear clear off the map as soon as he finished speaking.
--------------------------
The boy Kaito was fighting easily dodged the two sword strikes which seemed at odds with his awkwardly large frame. Almost like the serpent outside he had swung under and over the strikes with his upper torso yet his feet never left the ground. Kaito may have bounded off of him but he probably didn’t get as much bounce as he had assumed he would get, like the boy had eaten away the momentum with the move he made. As the yellow beam shot out at the boy he raised his hand and snapped again creating a stream of fire that connected with the attack, stopping it and when the dusty cloud created by the connection cleared it was apparent he had instead pulled back.
Pulling his arms apart in a wide arc in front of him a string of fire formed between his hands, then with a snappy motion a wave was sent in Kaitos direction. He shot off after the arc pulling his hands to the side as flames began forming again, this time they quickly flattened out into large discs. It appeared there might be more than pure control of fire at play here as the discs seemed to be coated in a condensed disc of reiatsu, they had high cutting power. He spun and brought one down at Kaito while keep the other to the side, likely in case it needed to be used defensively.
--------------------------
As the Vizard approached Victoria pointed at one of them and spoke threateningly.
“I would prefer not to but attack me and you will die.”
The attackers were either stupid or fanatical because they didn't even flinch. A blond haired boy was the first to strike but in the time he had brought his blade up Victoria was behind him. It was of course true that she was one of the slowest “superpowers” of the spirit world but compared to foes of this caliber she was still a flash. The boys body broke in a dozen places as blood went flying every which way, despite the grisly display and her claim he was not in fact dead. Until she could discover what was occurring she wouldn't kill anyone unless a Brotherhood members life was in imminent peril. It wasn't as if anyone was going to get up and cause trouble once their knees and shoulders were broken anyway.
Inside the facility one of the few remaining members of the Brotherhood inside the building went flying through the ceiling, likely to his death. The man that seemed to be the head Vizard fell back and bounced on his feet making a mock martial arts call as if taunting them. He ripped his rapier blade which had been thrust into the ground up and deflected a flurry of blows before a wave of energy exited from its tip and slammed Seiani in the chest sending her back though she flipped and slid to firm footing. The Vizard performed a polite golf clap before he came at her again, their power levels weren't drastically different but he still had the edge and now she was the only powerful member remaining inside.
Back outside a dozen Vizard were collapsed on the ground. Those remaining weren't so keen to jump in headlong anymore as Victoria snapped another unfortunates arm before tossing him to the ground, writhing in pain. She looked across to Kuroi who had just finished a group and called out her name while pointing to the facility.
“Their leader is inside! I'll take care of this, you and all others go aid them, he's alone but there are few inside with the power to combat him.”
She said this as she smacked an incoming attacker in the chest and he crumpled over her fist, not to surprising, every rib in his body has just been splintered.

Oketsu made it most of the way to the Cathedral unchallenged. He however, might have noticed that shortly before he passed into the forest at the far end of the park he was being watched. Who it was nobody could say but the tell-tell signs of movement and suppressed reiatsu should have been noted, by the time he might look to the building where it had come from though they were gone. Should he have spotted this though he would doubtlessly find actually venturing into the forest infinitely more perilous than it had been just moments before. Unfortunately while it was true that he could have made his way around the edges of the park to reach his objective it would add precious minutes to his travel time and activating Genesis to fly over it would use reiatsu that he could very well need at a moments notice given the cities current situation.
Thus passing through the forest was the only efficient and timely option. But as per the obvious he had only just lost sight of the city side of the forest when a foe appeared, a whirlwind of energy swept through the trees and a moment later three young girls were standing in front of Oketsu. The front girl appeared the youngest and had hip-length black hair with a small ornamental hair band over her head, she had a small sliver of white over her left eye that looked like the remnants of her mask. The two girls behind her seemed to be twin sisters as they were identical but for one wearing her hair loose and the other in a pony-tail, similarly each had half their face covered with a jackal like mask, the opposite side for each girl. They were all wearing semi-punk outfits though in the black and gold of the Horror Vacui, further individualizing them one of the twins wore a puffy drivers-cap.
The front girl stepped forward and shook her finger at Oketsu, “Nope~~~~! Far as you go for now. I don't suppose I could get you t-” She paused and stepped a little closer to Oketsu and squinted as if studying him before she stepped back and smiled, “Hey...you're kind of hot, wanna fuck?”
“Nuuuuuuuu~~~~!” The two girls behind her squealed in unison as they ran in circles. “Dirty Solanum-onee-san!” “Perverted Solanum-onee-san!” “Don't touch him!” “Sick, sick, sick!”
They stopped and Solanum tilted her head at him, “Is that a no? Oh well...it was worth a try!”, she gave him one more look and happened to lick her lips. Immediately the two girls behind her squealed and ran about again.
“NASTY!” “DISGUSTING!”
Solanum added, “Oh well...once you're dead there aren't many places you can go to get away from me.”
“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~~~~~~!!!!” “YOU WOULDN'T DO THAT!” “OH GOD OH GOD!!! GRODY!!!”
Then completely without warning Solanum fell back into a battle pose and yelled, “Dahilia! Bellidia!”. Both girls nodded and just as Solanum had their previous demeanors dropped completely, going devoid of expression. The twins shot to each side of Solanum and Oketsu, holding their hands out in the process and as they did so large gold shell shaped objects materialized in their hands. As soon as they were complete blue beams shot from each of them straight at Oketsu forcing him to dodge, before he did so though he might note something was solidifying in Solanums hand as well but did not look the same.
Whether he got hit and was sent flying or dodged the moment he recovered a close-quarters blow came at him and once he had time to focus he found Solanum wielding a multi-bladed scythe with a shaft almost five meters long. At the same time he might notice the twins had now disappeared into the trees around them and completely hid their presence. From the blow he might guess that she wasn't the strongest opponent but that was likely where its length came into play along with the fact that the curved blades could strike from blind angles. Add that along with the ranged attacks that could be coming from any direction and the slight strength superiority Oketsu experienced here was nullified.
Solanum smiled at him, “Should have just said yes.” She giggled.
--------------------------
The Vizard didn't pause nearly as long as Edrian did and he soon found more sword blows coming his direction. Thankfully for him if nothing else his pacifistic nature had given him enough chances to perfect running and dodging. Also in his favor was the fact that he seemed to be up against one of the weaker Vizard, that along with his distance from the Citadel seemed to suggest he might have in fact been fleeing the battle. Perhaps at the last moment he had spotted Edrian and noting his underwhelming power had regained some of his battle vigor. It was these set of events that lead into Edrians graces for whether he knew it or not the boy was in no particular hurry to battle, so a possible out was music to his ears, at the same time his bonds with the other Vizard forced him to continue the fight.
“You lie!” He yelled out, still flailing about with his blade, “Only a fool would fall for that sort of-”
He had been charging in as he spoke when he let out a pained scream. Moments later a swordpoint exploded through his chest with far more force than seemed both possible or was necessary. The force applied carved a much larger hole than just the blade and a vast spray of blood splattered over Edrian, coating him in the Vizards insides. The Vizard looked to him and mouthed a silent curse, clearly thinking the Bount was responsible before he passed out, likely dieing soon after. Edrian wasn't given time to mourn the fact though as a leg came flying around the body (which if it belonged to the attacker, seemed to defy the laws of flexibility) and impacted him like a bulldozer. Should he manage to block it, it still kicked him back several meters whereas taking the blow would send him clear down the street, pinging off it like a ball.
The blade was brought to the side quickly which tossed the Vizard off unceremoniously into the nearest building with a bang. This was the first point at which the humans of Tokyo became involved, pointing at Edrian in confusion and breaking into screams while running when the ensuing explosion from tossing the boy occurred. Regardless for the moment it remained a contained incident though since the humans could actually see Edrian he might be in trouble if law enforcement showed up.
Meanwhile his attacker walked toward him dragging the large black claymore blade along the ground which let out a pained squeal the whole way. This was telling of his ridiculous and counter-appearance level of strength as he was wielding the massive blade in one hand and a very chaotic deep purple aura of reiatsu was shimmering along its length like flames. The man walking toward him was tall and young but his presence was cut down by sickly features and a lost expression on his face. He was in the dark black robes that had replaced the Arrancars uniform of choice though his sported no gold like the others. A long mane of tussled red hair fell down his back and as he moved forward his motions seemed unnatural, strangely elastic as if his joints didn't work like a normal person.
At three meters from Edrian he stopped and cocked his head to the side, his eyes were wide and dazed as if not quite watching what everyone else would be seeing at the same time. He spoke in a hushed voice, “Interloper. I...do not remember your name, names escape me, but I remember the face. An expected Interloper.”
He brought his blade up high with a single fluid motion of his right arm and his head pivoted on his neck in eerily flat circles, “Mama...Mama Silence said I had to help Death-sama with the Interlopers. She said...she said soon as you were gone-” he let out a small smile but it was clear he was not smiling at anything present, “That I could go join her as soon at that was done. I can't wait to see Mama again.”
The smile disappeared and so to should any of Edrians thoughts that this could be ended peaceably. Of course that was no guarantee but it would have been a rational individuals conclusion. This man was Aggribel, Prodigum of Silence Cradle. Many insane individuals called Las Noches home but most of them were obsessed with killing and death, they could often be discouraged or convinced to run so that they might live to fight another day. Aggribel was different, unless ordered to he never gave up, for Aggribels obsession was not something so intangible, it was concrete, it was a person and as long as she willed it his insanity would never let him stop.
In the blink of an eye Aggribel had closed the distance between he and Edrian, poking his face right into the mans. His eyes were large and almost owl-like as his face turned almost upside down and then the blade came after it, cleaving the spot where Edrian was. It tore a gaping ten by three meter gash in the street with a good deal of penetration as well. Edrian would have to have dodged, he would have been killed elsewise but hardly a moment had passed and Aggribel was already charging at him with superior speed and power once more.

Sojukin continued and Death looked away from him, he was listening but had no further desire to answer. The previous question was a direct and rare one, these were different. He had heard them before and more importantly they sounded like the questions of a schemer, like somebody looking for weakness. Death didn’t have any weaknesses but neither did he have reason to indulge Sojukin. It was at this time that a young blond woman walked out from beneath Tokyo Tower where she had been stationed at the other side. Though Juniperus was known as Deaths little follower it was also known that two other girls, Viola and this girl, Narcissus were the leaders of his Prodigum. Narcissus was widely recognized as she sported virtually super-model proportions and looks.
She was also known for a quick temper and a direct personality in all situations. She looked to Sojukin with a glare and placed her hands on her hips, “God you’re nosy yah wannabe…”
Narcissus couldn’t beat Sojukin in a straight fight but she wasn’t weak enough to be easy prey either, if he just reacted in anger she could win. More over only a fool reacted when in the presence of a superior who could put them down before they even got to their target. Sojukin was probably smart enough to realize this…though if not he’d quickly find his head smashed into the ground with just shy the force necessary to kill him.
At the same time Death wasn’t talking her down making it clear where his graces lay in this confrontation. However after she made her way to stand a bit closer to Death he looked over his shoulder at Sojukin, “You’ll see. With you’re aspirations being painted so clearly across your face take solace in the fact that once it is complete you will have learned a few things you might be capable of putting forward toward future acts you make. As to the latter question, you first, but probably none of your business.”
He made a motion as if inviting Sojukin to share.
--------------------------
While the two hollows kept Daniel and his group busy the other hollow and lesser shinigami did the same with the other half of the NWO forces. The NWO had the strategic upper ground but the spirit creatures sheer tenacity was forcing them back. Eventually by creating bottlenecks and having the home advantage the humans would win but they were losing countless men in the process and being forced away from the core of the facility. At the same time dozens of smaller hollows and a few shinigami continued to appear around the facility, they weren't singly as strong as the leaders but there numbers aided the seeming objective of the attackers. That being to keep them occupied, or so should have been the obvious conclusion to an intelligent human as this was not a coordinated attack in the way one aimed at actually taking the facility should have.
While everyone else was occupied the head shinigami once more aimed his “gun” at a nearby wall and a hole simply existed in the wall he had aimed it. Stepping through he found himself in a hallway, several soldiers moved to engage but same as before all he did was bring his weapon up and in a bright flash of light they were no longer there. He twisted his head looking around as if trying to pinpoint something, then seemingly having found it he moved forward. After several steps he aimed the weapon upward and bore a hole in the ceiling whereupon he promptly jumped through. After making his way through several more walls, creating shortcuts through the HQ and around having to engage troops his objective became obvious.
Richard might not have seen all of it but some was no doubt caught on camera and it was likely becoming obvious, somehow amongst all this chaos this shinigami could sense him. And he was headed straight for his location in the quickest manner possible. More over that weapon of his seemed specifically suited for the task of penetrating a heavily fortified stronghold like this one and attacking a single target.
--------------------------
Shamus appearing was to Reginalds benefit, he of course didn't put as much stock in them as the HALO Storm but they were the next best thing. In this situation where they weren't facing something like that monster from before their skill would be just as effective as the Storms pure power. Plus they still had Tank and that was going a long way to making them less outclassed against the behemoth. On the other hand while at first it seemed they were doing a decent job mopping the dog hollow up it soon became evident that more and more were flooding in.
Reginald had a sneaking suspicion that as long as the leader was here that would continue, plus he was the larger danger in the long run. If he got to the actual facility he might knock a hole in one of the walls which would allow easy penetration of the interior by the smaller hollows, in close quarters they would be far more effective. Thankfully for the time being Tank seemed to be proving an adequate distraction to the hot head and so they had not yet undertaken this course of action.
The shinigami had simply smashed his fist into the hollow tossed toward him sending it flying away, he was a large man. Similarly the next grenade didn't do much but offer a distraction, however it was distraction enough. They had turned slightly to get a look at their new foe Shamus and that was when Tank unleashed a barrage into their side. This didn't kill the hollow or even flip it but it did force it down on one leg for a moment and that was all the time they needed. As if they had it planned Tank ran full-long into the downed creatures side and Reginald at the last moment jumped off rolling to a stop on top of the hollow. He pulled his gun on the shinigami who in turn having steadied himself from the ramming retrieved his zanpakutou.
Meanwhile Tank retreated to get better firing room on the now recovering hollow. Shamus was probably feeling the effects of being close to Reginald by now, feeling more in control and as if he could see the whole battlefield through his minds eye. Though since unlike Reginalds squad he was not used to this he probably couldn't make as efficient use of it as they could. Most importantly for him though was the fact that they were now being swarmed by dozens of the smaller hollows...they did not have dozens of guns.

Makkuro sat in stunned silence when the member of the Central forty-six came into the room and remained transfixed upon the old man with the heavy accent. Not that he could understand a word that came out of his mouth; it was just that...he was there. A member of the Central forty-six had bothered to come out of the council room that they had shut themselves away in and come to tell the Gotei thirteen how to do THEIR job? That was a laugh and a half right there and one of the most ironic things he had heard in a long time. Makkuro had thought the Forty-six had just disappeared from existence their reign as the backbone of the Seireiti long since faded from his mind and now all they were good for was drawing in new recruits to the Gotei Thirteen. While he supposed that was a grand and glorious role in their society it still seemed like this man was overstepping his bounds.
That was until he heard what he had to say, then his jaw nearly dropped in response. He had come to agree with the other Captains in the issue and force their hand slightly. Despite it not being entirely up to par with what he was expecting, Makkuro was thankful for the old man's intervention...even though he couldn't understand a damn word he said and was ever thankful for the translator that had come with him. Swearing that the man must have had something screw up his tongue in the past or possibly had a speech impediment; Makkuro listened solely when his translator spoke and nodded in agreement. He had no reason not to after all it had been the similar points he and his comrades had made to the Commander General whom was stepping further than he should have at the point. Makkuro was just about pipe up again in agreement when the Commander General had his final say and He found himself walking out of the meeting room.
He sighed and shook his head walking slowly across the pathways that had connected the meeting room with the rest of the Seireiti and stopped about twenty yards away from the meeting hall and leaned over the railing to stare blankly into the sky for a moment, then out towards the repentence cell and the execution grounds. He wondered when everything would finally be all over and peace would come back to the Seireiti. He doubted that it would ever come as new hollows just sprouted up weeds everytime another mortal died in the realm of the living. Those thoughts did nothing but to torment him as he thought about his subordinates who had recently died under his command to that bastard Abelardo. Gritting his teeth, he hammered his fist into the railing causing it to crack as tears ran down his face in thick streams.
I couldn't protect them....I couldn't even save one of their lives...what good am I to the Seireiti if I couldn't even save the lives of nine men. Sighing, he leaned back against the wall behind him and turned his head back to the Captain's meeting hall and waited to see who all would come out as the tears fogged his vision. He could just barely make most of them out and brushed aside the tears and thought himself a fool for allowing himself to get so worked up. Coughing several times in an attempt to clear his throat he found it wasn't working and looked back up into the air as Meuma, his zanpakuto spirit, spoke to him.
"Makkuro, why must you let yourself be so consumed by the past? Can you not let it go and move on into the future? I suggest you speak to Rin once more. She can usually cheer you up at least a little."
"Meuma, I don't know my heart continually aches for those men. I lead them into their deaths and now there isn't even enough to bury respectfully between the ten of them. How can I rest easy knowing that those men received no burial only a marker to represent where they and countless other souls had died that night?
You avenged their deaths didn't you and stopped that monster from continueing his onslaught didn't you?
"Yes, but I...."
"No buts! Makkuro, stop this foolishness and speak to someone about this before you end up killing yourself!" Makkuro didn't reply to that, but just continued leaning against the wall as he waited for another Captain to walk by.
_________________________________________________ Back in Tokyo (I think I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so!)
Sojukin's head turned back slowly to Narcissus, the female equivalent of himself minus some of the insanity. He made a slow grin as he gave her a once over and shot her wink as she called him a wannabe, he feigned some hurt and laughed as he looked down upon her. There was no contempt in his eyes, just some humor from the situation and an overbearing urge, which he would soon give into, to play his own form of twenty questions with her. The smile dimmed away as did the laughter and he stared her down and kept his cool in the moment. He had been handling his inner demons well and they were only just coming out during fights or rare moments when the insanity became to much. He finally found his voice after Death spoke to him which he responded to with a shrug and continued on with Narcissus
"That's pretty funny coming from you Narcissus...considering the way we're both constructed." He gave a sharp chuckle, then looked back into her eyes as he thought about what she said for a moment and shook his head. Everyone and he knew everyone was eager to know what Death had up his sleeve; those who said they weren't were liars and those who truly didn't were fools or blinded by their own ambitions.
"If you wish to tell me that you have no curiosity to ask Death what he is planning, then I'll call you a liar right here. I have no interest to start a fight right now and I'll take Death's invitation." He stopped speaking at that point and took his place at Death's otherside least he be tempted to do more than just mock Narcissus after all she did have a sexy body and Sojukin did have to admire it even if he would admit it outloud. His eyes were turned back to the havoc spread out over Tokyo in that moment as they stood there talking. Hollows, Arrancar and various other beings were tearing each other apart. It was mass chaos on all sides and the solitude and serentity of this area would never be the same after this. Just the amount of spiritual pressure in the region was enough to make the weaker beings crash to the ground and begin choking in fear and writhing in pain. Sojukin felt some of it against him, like a constant downpour of rain coming from all sides, but easy enough to ignore for someone of his standing.
Biting his lip, he wondered if Death knew what his true goal was or if he was just playing off what he thought he had told him before. He wanted power that was true and he wanted to stand on top one day, but what he truly wanted was to be more of a father figure for the future hollows. He wanted to become strong enough to usher in a new world for them and to turn their old world into a new Earth. Possibly bring humans to that land and turn certain areas into hunting reserves for the hollows where they might hunt without fear of Shinigami intervention. Sojukin let out a brief sigh as he cut his eyes to Death for a moment and found himself unable to contain the question that danced on his tongue.
"Just...how much do you know about me and the other Espada?" His voice was quivering at that point, in an awe struck fear that the man next to him, just might be the closest thing to a God anyone in Hueco Mundo had ever encountered.

As the torrent of flames engulfed the sky Sin was sure his foe had occupied, he quickly realised he had missed as Coatl’s voice echoed around him, a low laugh haunting his words. ” Ah are we using real names now? How cute. Nice try but you should realize I am far to old to be cowed by such displays, and unlike you I actually know how to control my instincts. Whose to say I‘m not in charge?”[/b] Sin roared in anger, he knew Coatl was, like him, and ancient being of great power, but to have him speaking down at him was something Sin would not tolerate. Coatl you bastard, I’ll tear you apart before this day is through.[/i] Sin sensed a sudden flare of reiatsu as a row of lightning screeched through the air towards Sin. However, Sin was not caught unprepared this time, and a massive beat of his wings took him up into the sky, allowing him to fly over the blast, but before he could retaliate Coatl had long since moved on. How typical it is for you to run and hide you gutless snake, I would have hoped all these years of servitude to your beloved menos overlords would have taught you how to face a foe with some vague semblance of honour!”[/i]
Scanning the area, Sin could not find Coatl anywhere, the night provided the perfect cover for him, and Sin’s senses were overloaded by the massive battle going on below, preventing him from locating his nemesis. A sudden squeal sounded out from below him, and Sin looked down to see the long, wiry frame of Coatl, pierced by a machete held by a small brown haired girl whom Sin did not recognise. Sin lowered himself to the cathedral roof and watched as Coatl dissipated into mist and vanished, his final words telling he was not done, and merely biding his time. Sin growled in anger, but managed (barely) to keep control of his rage for the time being. He noticed the brown haired girl had gone around and given orders to the masked warriors below him, and he assumed she was some kind of leader of theirs. Sin spoke only to her as she looked up at him, if she had been able to attack Coatl so easily, he was not keen to see what she could do to him given the chance. Madam, I am Sin, an Arrancar from Hueco Mundo. My people and I have long fought against the denizens of Las Noches, as you are now, and I have come here to provide you with my support.[/i]
Raising his head up into the air, Sin let out a massive roar which shook the surrounding area, and in response to this a large black hole tore through the area behind the forces attacking the cathedral. From this hole appeared three large hollows, leading groups of smaller hollows all marked by a large crystal implanted into their chests. These hollows wasted no time getting into action, and immediately descended upon the forces attacking the cathedral. Sin spoke to the girl again, she seemed most able to ensure the battle on the ground went well at the moment, and if she could command the masked warriors to work in concert with his own forces, this battle would be theirs. Madam, I have brought my own forces into the fray, tell your people not to kill the hollows marked with the crystals on their chests. They will not attack your people, but they are still just hollows, and if they are attacked their instincts might take over. Please be careful.[/i] Sin flew up into the sky and flew overhead of the battle, breathing a torrent of soul flames over his foes below, the battle was started, and he hoped he had put his faith in the right people to take a stand against the forces of Las Noches.

Kuroi sighed as Victoria called out and told her to go fight in the next room. ”Don’t you go giving me orders! I’m only going in there because he’s strong and I’m, I do what I want!”[/b] Kuroi stormed off into the next room before Victoria could say anything, and while she was arguing just for the sake of arguing, she still enjoyed it, no one stood up to Victoria like that, which meant that obviously Kuroi was better than everyone else, which was exactly what she wanted to think. As she entered the room, she saw a tall European looking man, armed with a rapier, battling with the gradually overwhelmed brotherhood forces around him. Kuroi noted that a human had been knocked back, and while she seemed strong, she was also human, therefore annoying. ”Human, tell me everything you know about this man, and then stay the hell out of my way.”[/b] Kuroi wasn’t waiting for a reply, however, and removed her mask, placing it at her side before charging headlong at the man and aiming to run her shield straight into him. This move, however, was mostly a feint, and the attack was easily avoidable. However, in avoiding, Kuroi was given a chance to look over his body, in search of a weakness which, much to her annoyance, was not present. Bastard is wearing gloves...well fuck…[/i]
As Kuroi’s attack was avoided, she would use her blade to parry a counter attack from him, while Akumu moved around to get behind the man, hoping to trap him between the two of them. Neither Akumu nor Kuroi were paying the slightest bit of attention to what any of the humans in the room were doing, and all their focus was on this man. Kuroi would step back for a split second before Akumu and herself would both lunge forward, attacking from the front and back of the man at the same time, and while Kuroi was certain he would be able to avoid this, she wanted to have a little fun, and kept her attacks slower than they could be in order to draw the fight out, this man was strong enough to have fought this far into the base, and Kuroi wanted to push him to his limit before breaking him down.
_____________
Moving with all haste, Oketsu noticed the area was strangely deserted, even the humans seemed to have deserted the area, which Oketsu found mildly disconcerting. It was, however, the middle of the night and humans did need a strange amount of sleep, so it wasn’t all that surprising the more he thought of it. He reached the edge of the forest as a feeling he was being watched washed over him. He couldn’t tell how long the feelings had been present, he only just realised it was there, but could feel it had been there for a while. He shook it off, he had to hurry and find Ash before things got too far gone to speak with Ash. He stopped to weigh up his options. He knew the forest wasn’t too big, and he could skirt around it, but doing so would take time, and even seconds were precious if things were as far gone as he suspected them to be. He also had to option of flying with Genesis, that would cut the time, but also cost him precious reiatsu. He had seen what Ashley was capable of, and knew he was no match for her, if he was to fight against her he would need all the reiatsu he had to outlast her, he knew she could only fight for a limited amount of time, but he would need everything he had to survive that. He decided to continue on through the forest, and dashed forth to move as fast as he could in order to reach his intended goal.
As he entered the forest however he very quickly regretted this decision. It was not long before a sudden whirlwind of energy burst through the trees and landed before him, separating into three women, each with mask fragments that marked them as Arrancar, and the rear two appearing almost identical. ”Listen ladies, I would love to stay here and play with you, but I have things to do, would you mind stepping aside?”[/b] Oketsu’s comment had been ignored as first girl stepped forth and informed him he wasn’t going anywhere, before requesting his…company...
”The offer is appreciated, really, but you’re not my type.”[/b] Oketsu sighed as the girls broke into argument over if sex with him was disgusting or not. ”You know I am still here, no, you’re just going to ignore me? Wonderful…”[/b] The lead girl licked her lips and tilted her head, ”Oh well...once you're dead there aren't many places you can go to get away from me.” Oketsu had a similar reaction to the twins who screamed in disgust. Oketsu shuddered and raised his arm towards the girl. ”Now that is just wrong, I mean, I know you are a soul eating demonic entity and all, but come on, even you have to realise that is just…wrong and…ew…”[/b] Just as Oketsu finished speaking however the mood of the situation changed instantly, and he quickly found the two twins had dashed to either side of him, forming strange shell like objects which fired blue beams of energy at him, which forced him to jump into the air and draw Genesis, catching something strange forming in the hand of the head girl. He readied himself to leap forth upon his landing, but the chance never came. The first girl had already closed the distance between them and lashed out with a massive scythe covered in multiple blades. Oketsu was forced to bring Genesis down and parry the attack, only narrowly avoiding the blades as he pushed himself back to slide along the ground and catch his footing. Taking a short moment to look around, Oketsu noticed the other two girls had disappeared, and sensing around he could not find a trace of their presence, things were not looking good for him, and while he could tell his power was greater than their individually, combined he would struggle to capitalise on this power difference. ”Really, honestly and truly I would love to hang around and play with you girls, but I have things I need to do, Decimate the Unholy, Genesis!”[/b]
A burst of white light engulfed his blade, and as the light faded and revealed his spear he locked it into position at his side, the wingframes behind him beat and he leapt from the ground, dashing past his foe in a second and attempting to make a break for freedom, however twin blasts of blue energy traced the air in front of him, preventing him from escaping, and in a second the multi-bladed scythe swung at him from the side, and it took all his skill to raise Genesis to knock the blade out of the way. He leapt into the air, but the blasts blocked his way again, forcing him to the ground, he wasn’t getting out of here until he dealt with these girls, and he really did not have the time to deal with this. He kicked off the ground and dashed towards the scythe wielding girl, thrusting Genesis forth and aiming to pierce her chest. He didn’t intend on using any of his abilities yet, he needed a better idea of what he was up against, and with the other two girls keeping him down this was going to take all his skill just to gain the advantage in this fight.

What was said had pissed him off enough and the fact thecentral 46 had but in made Aiko even more pissed… but there was nothing hecould do about that. If it wasnt for the fact Aiko had already spoken out ofturn he would have spoken up again and made it obvious he didn’t like the man,but being a new vice captain and not having a lot of weight under his wordsmade it seem pointless to speak up. “Just hold in the anger Aiko. You can handleit.”
Aiko had exited the meeting room first, Brushing past themessenger with obvious dislike. He had wanted for the 6th and 11thto join together for an assault, yes. However he didn’t like the fact he wasbeing told how to do his job and he was sure none of the other captains dideither. As he walked out of the room he smashed his fist into the first wall hefound. All the pent up anger and frustration was released and with a deepinhale and exhale he had cleared his mind. Aiko turned and leaned up againstthe wall outside the building the meeting had taken place in. He was waitingfor Sagara and Kuatara, he had figured they would discuss how to assemble theirforces before just grabbing every officer with a sword…. He hoped.
“Bah… I need a god damn drink. This is bullshit and… Sigh…who am I talking to anyways?”
At least there was a small army of hollow to be disposed of. Aiko could just hack and slash through them without paying much attention to anything else. Hell over the years he had been alive he had killed so many hollow so effortlessly it seemed unreal to him now. However Aiko felt he was stronger than that. He should utilized more efficiently. 'I need a smoke... "
Aiko sank down and leaned backagainst the wall his legs bent and spread slightly with his arms rested on hisknees. He lit a cigarette and inhaled slowly. His favorite invention from the20th century was easily the cigarette. ‘Well I don’t have many mento bring at all. At best I have about four men that wont collapse under theweight…. And another 7 that could handle it until things get crazy. Maybe its best to just go in with the five…. I have no intentions of sending these men off to die” Aiko beckoned an unseated officer to go get several men and tellhim to meet Aiko where he was and be prepared to leave, The men where his best 8 fighters and Aiko had trained extensively with them. Aiko smacked his headoff the back of the wall a few times showing his aggravation as he heard someone walking towards the buildings exit. Whoever it was would probably beable to see Aiko’s frustration easily, and weather or not they agreed with himsitting there smoking a cigarette he really didn’t care. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The flames were licking at Kaito's body. The jet stream of flame that Kaito had ducked under almost lit his hood on fire. the flames turning Kaito's cheeks a rosey red. Kaito hadnt been that hot in ages. As Kaito stood back up fully he began to move towards the boy. However halting when the kid created two flaming discs.
Kaito had barely enough time to react to the disc of flames the was hurled at him. As he brought his blade upwards to slice at the disc he felt the heat of the flames engulf him. Though he was able to cut the large disc in half he still had to turn his body slightly inward to avoid the two halfs fo it colliding with his small chest. The disc broke in two and connected with Kaito's shoulders and though it was nearly as strong as it was intended to be the flames still torched through Kaito's hoodie and under shirt and gave kaito two second degree burns on both shoulders. The pain was bad but not unbearable. The only reason Kaito was sweating was because of the heat not because he was exurting himself. Kaito used the closeness he had with the boy to probe at him with kicks and slashes that were used more to keep the kid on defensive.
"Im done playing around... Youve waisted to much time" Kaito reached out with a speed he hadnt been using before. He was actuallying trying this time. Kaito grabbed onto the boys throat and almost as soon as his hand lached on Kaito's foot Connected with the boys gut with enough force to remove the air from his lungs. The kick sent the kid flying through the wall behind him and Kaito fallowed. Before the kid hit the ground Kaito flashed to his side and kicked him again sending him sprawling in another direction. Kaito looked around the room. He saw Kensei turning and looking at him. Standing over a hollow as a wooden savior that was pinned to a cross looked down at him with pity. Kaito sighed and turned his attention back to the boy as the human began to rise.
Kaito rushed the Boy as he began to rise and cut at the legs and chest of the boy in one upward slice. After that Kaito spun and sent a high kick at the boys head with his let foot and letting the force carry him he slashed straight out at the boy again. Hoping one of the attacks would hit Kaito jumped away and levitated in the air staring down at the boy, smoke still rising off his shoulders.
"Kensei... Hows it going?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The wind carried Kubi along as he skipped happily down the street towards his destination. The intended place of interest was the same building the captains meeting was being held. Kubi had just left the 13th divisions quaters or more specificly his room. He had after all had to get ready and look imaculate for his first battle. Realisticly Kubi knew Rin wouldnt let him on the battlefield but Laetitia seemed to nod in approval when he mentioned it to her. He had originally that morning been with Laetitia (Without Rin's knoledge of course; that would be very bad). The two had been "interogating" a prisoner, which, was the real reason Kubi had to go back to the 13th division for a shower and change of outfit. After all he didnt want to wear blood soaked robes on the battlefield. that would make him appear insane.
Kubi was now wearing a new komono he had Rin make him. It was a traditional black robe however he had it changed so there was a floral pattern covering all of it. Kubi loved flowers everything about them made him happy. A flower was an endless creation. Constantly creating more and more beauty. Kubi was planning on giving Rin and the rest of the captains flowers to try and cheer them up but he didnt have time. He had to make it to the building before everyone was gone. He had to talk to Rin about going. After all if he participated in the battle he was sure he would get stronger and finnaly earn a seat as a member of 13th without Rins help.
As Kubi made it outside of the door to the building he noticed the white haired Vice Captain of the elventh division Aiko...something. Kubi never really talked to the eleventh division because there brute nature kind of scared him (Though inside the ninth division he felt just fine). Kubi was going to say Hello to the man but before he could the other captains began to make there way past him. When Rin exited he began to fallow her and speak with her. Pleading for her to let him fight beside her. Begging. Whining. Even gave her the pppy dog eyes.
"Come onnn RIN!! PWEASE!" *puppy dog eyes* " You know i can handle myself against regular hollow. I should be able to fight these stupid menos guys. I dont need shikai or Kido. you taught me that sword trick remember!"
When Rin contold Kubi no and that he could stay with the defensive units he knew she was just trying to shelter and protect him. but he was ready...he thought. Kubi nodded and pouted but told he he would stay. When she asked him to promise to not cause t much trouble he Knew she was going to have someone stay and watch him... Poor poor them.

Sagara looked down and grinned as Kuatara started to grill all of them. “Where just trying to save his life.” He muttered out halfway into Kuatara’s speech. Just who the hell do you think you are tossing out the ideas of other captains and shingami? He thought to himself as he looked at Kuatara in anger. But luckily he didn’t have to listen to bastard cry any longer as the man without a tongue from Central 46 came along.
His speech was about as annoying as that of a two year old African kid trying to tell you something in clicks and clacks. However Sagara understood enough of what he said to make him smile. Sure the bastard had undermined the authority of the entire Gotie 13. An act that under most circumstances would be unforgivable. But he happened to agree with everyone that voiced opinions against the Commander General’s plan, for the most part at least, and in the end had overthrown his plan and gone with theirs. That was enough to get him to want to buy the guy a drink. Hell after the battle he’d have to look him up.
But then something caught his ear, Zero Division... If that was the case then he might not be leading the Sixth division.. He knew that it would be far better to get someone skilled behind the wheel of 6th division’s leadership.. But that someone would be a total outsider, he knew some of the men wouldn’t respect him, and he wouldn’t understand exactly what they where going threw. Sixth was a family unit, and they had just lost there father, and there brothers. The rage and hatred that was spewing inside everyone was beyond what hardly anyone could understand, especially if that someone was from a unit like 12th or 9th before retiring. They wouldn’t understand how the family worked, or how to lead it correctly..
Sagara shook his head as the Commanding General asked if anyone planned on defeating Death. ”Well lets hope the Zero Division pulls threw and gets you out of the Captain seat before you get everyone killed.” Kasai popped in as they where dismissed. ”I mean lets face it. You a leader? Hell you can’t even handle yourself in a fight properly! Sure I’d love to fight with you and kill all the arrancar, but you’d probably get everyone under you killed! We don’t need any more deaths. Though it might be amusing to see what happens to you when your entire division is slaughterd..” Sagara grabbed Kasai, who had now appeared beside him, and slammed the spirit into the walled as they walked outside. “Shut.. The.. Fuck.. Up.. Kasai. I aint in the mood for your shit!” He said in a whispered yell before letting go and walking over to Kuatara.
“Look man. If we are going to leading together then we should get any hard feeling out of the way. That said. Who the hell do you think you are!? To just disregard all the ideas and concerns of all the other Captain’s and Division leaders because the Commanding General came up with the idea? That is just fucking suicidal! There are 13 other leaders in there! We might not be the most competent or powerful force the Goite 13 has ever had but that doesn’t mean our thoughts are useless! If you want the old man to die then sure, fuck everything everyone else has to say. You’re the man! Now then.. Lets get Aiko and figure out what the game plan is.” He said walking over to Aiko.
Sagara kicked him in the leg before smiling a bit. “Get your game face on man. You’re Squad Eleven’s leader now, you’re representing everyone under you, and everyone that’s come before you. You can’t be seen looking like your overwhelmed right now. Not in front of all these guys, and not in front of your people. Lets go figure out who where taking in and what the plan is. If it’s alright with you though, I would like you to bring your men to Sixth Division before we head out. There’s a sort of tradition we do before heading into battle, and I’d like to share it with you. Both of you.” He said turning to Kuatara who was hopefully close enough to hear what Sagara had said.

Vance nodded before saying. “Understood. Lets send these bastards to the abyss!” He yelled as he started firing at the first hollow. Vance turned to his side as his built in spirit taser flew into one of the spider hollows. “Son of a bitch! Alright that’s it!” he said lowering the cannon and pulling out his pistol as he shot the flinching hollow. He threw the cannon to the scientist who had seemed to run out of ammo. “I cant use this!” He said in fear as he looked at the cannon. “Just hold them back for a few seconds!” He yelled to Dainel and the soldiers before grabbing the slate which he used to calibrate the machine.
Come on Takashi! He thought to himself as he started typing like crazy on the slate. “Just hold em off a little longer!” He yelled as the soldiers started yelling at the closing in hollows, some times even having to kick the few of the smaller ones that managed to make it past the hail of gun fire. “Game on!” Takashi yelled as he took the cannon from the scientists and switched the firing setting. “Yall might wanna close your mouths.”
His finger squeezed the trigger as the blue energy started swelling on the outside of the cannon. Yet it didn’t fire.. "Shoop da Whoop! I'ma Firin' Mah Lazer!" The cannon whirred in rebellion as all the energy was pent up inside it and slightly protruding outside of it. Bezzfo! The sound was of the cannon firing a massive blue energy ball at the hollows. Bphhhhhhhh the energy ruptured as it made contact with the hollow’s armor. The blast slammed Vance into the cannon’s charging tank as the hallway was filled with a blinding blew light. His armor cracked against the strain and some of the riatsu seeped in burning his skin. The combat squad fell to the floor from the blast but there armor had held against the force. The scientist.. Well he had started to run away as Vance started to charge the blast. So the shock wave only made him hit his head into the wall and the riatsu only scathed his neck and clothes.
Vance screamed in pain before the blast subsided. He looked around to see everyone was still alive. Well except the armored hollow. The blast had blow a hole threw his armor and body and had sent the spider like hollow in to the back wall. Two of its limbs where severally damaged by the blast, and all the little spider lings had been killed.
Vance went to fire but nothing came out. “Damn it. I used all the juice..” He said before dropping the cannon and pulling up his rifle. “Guess I’m back to you darling.” He said as he kissed the scope before aiming at the spider.

Crypt turned around to look at Kaito and laughed. He flash stepped in front of him; he instantly grabbed Kaito, stopping him from attacking him. “Stay away..” He said in a rough voice that sounded of someone who had been smoking for far too long. His claw like fingers dug into his arm making a shallow cut in it before he let go and flew out of the building.
Crypt looked at his leg, it was still human.. That bastard Kensei was resisting! He knew he was about to strike out for the fight for control of his body again. He was soon to be on a two front war, he only hoped the Vizard’s read his intentions. He had no desire to fight them, yet at least.. No these insulate swine who had attacked his home and spat in his face where his target. Sure he would love to rip apart those who tried desperately to contain his power, but those who think themselves great enough to attack him needed to pay.
Crypt flew out towards the first human, ripping it in half with his claws before turning around and smashing the spike that came out of his knee into the gut of another. He pulled out before turning around and flying at another, the human tried to attack him but Crypt easily dodged the weakling’s attacks before slicing threw his neck. Hollows and Humans alike started to see there was a new Big shot on Campus as he ripped threw a dozen of the weaker ones without hesitation.
Two Menos Grande and a Adjuchas started to circle him before the two Grande sent cero’s at him. Crypt shuponed into the air dodging the attacks and started to charge two separate cero’s, one in either hand. However the Adjuchas jumped into the air and smashed Crypt to the ground. Crypt dug his claws into the beast before sending both of the black beams into it. The Adjuchas flew into the air, blood pouring out slowly from the mostly catalyzed wounds which sunk into the giant wolf like hollows gut. Crypt looked at his shoulder as blood poured out, the damn thing somehow managed to bit him!
”Shitsunen Genkotsu!” He yelled as the purple energy once again surrounded his hands. He dashed the first Grande but was shot in the back by the other’s cero, and then when he hit the ground he was pounded with another. His back was bleeding and his closer where almost completely ripped apart, exposing the every spike that protruded from his back and his shoulders. He rose slowly as his blood covered every spike on his back, and seeped threw the small cracks in his white armor and onto his necked legs. ”That was a good hit..” He complemented the hollows as his vision started to blur. He was already out of breath and quickly losing his riatsu. Damn it Kensei! Is this all the strength you have!?[/i] He yelled in his mind and at Kensei right as he went on the offensive. His two front war had begun, and he needed to drop these two quickly before retreating. He shunpoed in front of one of the Grandes and unleashed a barrage of attacks into its skull sending the beast to the ground, but it didn’t stop there. He continued to pulverize its mask and cut into his head as he destroyed it before turning to the other one.
But that bastard wolf Adjuchas wasn’t quite dead yet! It jumped onto Crypt’s back before sinking its teeth in his arm. Crypt yelled in pain before smashing his knee spike into its lower jaw and attacking its head like a mad man with his free hand. He quickly finished off the hollow but was once again hit with a cero that luckily cauterized all of his wounds.. He panted before rushing the last Grande. He flew straight threw his face and out the back of its skull before fleeing into the cathedral in hopes of staying alive.. The bastards had done to much damage for him to keep fighting in this condition.
Meanwhile inside of Kensei’s inner spirit world.
Kensei slowly rose before yelling out. ”CRYPT! WHERE ARE YOU! SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARDLY BASTARD!”
”Im right here Kensei. Come to try and defeat me already? I’ve barely had a change to destroy any of the attackers.. Don’t worry, let me do my thing and kill all of these pathetic humans and hollows then your vizard friends can continue to live in piece...s.” A sly grin betrayed his exact thoughts and Kensei knew once he was done with the Hollows he would wage a war against them. A war that would cost his life.
”I’m not going to let you fight the Vizards! This is my body you will not use it for your own private means!”
”Oh is that so huh? Lets see who Kazuno sides with.”
Then a tall giant of a man appeared on either side of Kensei and Crypt. He had long red hair and stood at over 10 feet tall. He was massive in every way and his voice was as deep as the oceans as he spoke. ”Without Crypt we would all have been dead by now Kensei. Perhaps you should trust in him as you trust in me. But if not then I will grant neither of you my powers for your fight against each other. It will be fist against fist.”
”So whats it going to be Kensei? Will you trust me as a fellow partner or will you try and stop me?”
”If we where partners you would be the mask on my face and we would be working together instead of you taking over and stopping me from controlling my body. No, you have already decided what we shall be.”
Kensei took his stance before looking at Crypt. Crypt was not a monster in here, no he was a in human form. He had long black hair and wore a large read hat and a red long coat with black pants, shirt, and boots. However his arms where still that of a hollow’s his fingers where claws and his fore arm was covered in armor and spikes. Kensei was at a distinct disadvantage, but Crypt could only devote part of his attention to this battle if he was indeed fighting intelligently, which if Kensei knew Crypt at all he was. He wasn’t going to blindly fight in a rage against strong opponents.
Kensei flash stepped in front of Crypt, covering the ten feet between them instantly as he slammed his fist into Crypt’s face. However Crypt hand put his knee into Kensei’s gut already and as Kensei bent down he elbowed the back of his head slamming him into the ground.
The sweat scent of the grass from the planes that was Kensei’s inner spirit world beckoned him to sleep. They where intoxicating and compelling, it was as if his own world was trying to stop him from fighting Crypt. Kensei slammed his fist into the ground before pushing up and slamming his body into Crypt’s gut. The tackle knocked the wind out of Crypt but managed to elbow Kensei’s back. Kensei ignored the blow and pushed Crypt to the ground before crawling up and slamming his fist into Crypt’s face again and again. He looked to his side in shock as Crypt formed a instant Cero that sent Kensei into the air. Crypt flew up after him and went for a stab at Kensei’s face. Kensei managed to dodge most of it, but Crypt’s thumb caught his cheek causing it to bleed profusely. The two entered into an exchange of blows at the speed a regular human could never follow. They where like two speeding bullets as they flew across Kensei’s inner world.
”Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle!” Kensei pointed his hand at Crypt who hand begun charging a cero as he heard the Incarnation, Thunder Roar Cannon, the same move Kensei used to defeat Crypt in the past.
The yellow energy met with Crypt’s black cero, the two energies crackled as they ripped at each other, rouge torrents of power scathed the ground below there feet, causing the planes to be caught in a wild fire. Then vrsh! The sound of Crypt’s cero being splintered and destroyed by Kensei’s Thunder Roar Cannon as it ripped threw the middle of the cero. Blasting out of the back it slammed into Crypt, however its power was lessened and only caused his coat and hat to be destroyed as he was sent into the flames. Crypt roared in pain as he flew out of the flames.
”Walls of ironsand, a priestly propaganda, glowing iron clad fire flies. Stand up right silent to the end.” Then five giant, and thick pillars slammed into Crypt, pinning him to the ground. Crypt and Kensei had used up most of his Riatsu by now. Slowly he floated down to Crypt panting as he did. Crypt looked at him defiantly despite being defeated. ”Return what is mine..” He demanded as he slammed his foot into Crypt’s face. As Crypt’s face crunched under Kensei’s boot a violent wind appeared from seemingly nowhere and snuffed out the flames as the fight ended..
Back in the Cathedral
Kensei grunted as he grabbed his shoulder before gasping in pain as his arm screamed out in defiance. He looked at his arm’s wounds in horror knowing full well how spent he truly was. His vision started to blur as he looked around. He was no longer in this fight.. Not until someone patched him up a bit at least. His vision turned to blackness as he slowly went back down onto the floor. His white skin completely visible aside from the smallest patches of burnt pants that hung around his ankles.

OOC: Excuse parts of terrible terrible writing. Just haven't been able to get a good stride in my posts lately...
What were they after? Considering they had completely surprised them by somehow avoiding detection by the radar grid and easily made their way inside the until then thought hidden HQ, it was surprising that their attacks had not been more surgical and instead rather than striking deep into the facility many of their forces seemed to actively seek out the defenders and throw themselves aimlessly at them... No, they were up to something that much was obvious. A distraction? But for what or who?
Suddenly one section of the facility blacked out for a moment as something cut the main power-source toward it though it took only seconds before the power had been rerouted through backup connections. Richard immediately brought the area up on screen, seeing it was that same Shinigami from earlier with that strange gun-like object that made holes in the reinforced walls like if they were made of paper... Judging by how the man was splitting off from the main force it became obvious he was the one they were covering for though the way he made his way through the facility made it clear he wasn't all too concerned with being discovered... Regardless he seemed to know his destination and whether the man was somehow able to sense Richard through all that reiatsu hampering metal or merely knew something of interest was in that direction, Richard immediately began mapping out potential routes the Shinigami would take to get either to him or to other facilities of interest nearby. At the same time however he took note that part of the NWO forces seemed intent on pursuing the shinigami despite risking leaving their backs open to the invading forces...
Closing all blast-doors in his area of the facility along with all remaining ones before the attackers Richard turned his attention to the comm unit as he connected with all soldiers and operatives internal headsets inside the facility. "This is the President, ignore the infiltrating Shinigami and concentrate all fire-power on stopping the invading forces. Do not allow them to take another step inside the facility, prove to the spirits that Humans are not to be trampled upon and that we are all ready to give our lives for the sake of humanity! I trust in you to fulfil your duty for we are all that stands between the spirits and mankind." He paused slightly to take a breath of air before he continued "We have made great progress and the spirits have begun to fear us, they now know we are a threat to their designs! That is why we must not falter, that is why we must not surrender and that is why we must win!" Despite the slight static distortion that changed Richard's voice enough to not identify him through it, he had a way with words and had something about him that made him an inspirational leader when it was necessary and this trait of his was retained in his words.
Satisfied that the soldiers returned to defending the facility with renewed vigor Richard turned his attention back to the Shinigami, it was clear he was heading for him or at least something nearby now, perhaps his own personal lab that held much of their organizations secrets? No, it was likely he was heading for him... But how did they know so much? It seemed impossible... Well whatever the case was Richard continued to attempt to impede the Shinigami's progress by closing doors or activating sentries to try and take him down, while also closing others that did not lead to him to try and lure the man into a trap, but even should he get past all those defenses Richard remained calm, for he had another card to play.

"Hyyyyyya! Eeeeeeyha! Huaaaaaaaa!" was the exaggerated shouts of the young vizard as he continuously tried to slash, stab and maim Edrian who while far from slow never made any move to counter his less experienced adversary and so the attacks continued to come dangerously close to hitting, before the Bount tossed Geheimnis up into the air resulting in the book-like doll cussing loudly slightly drawing the bounts attention at the same time as he threw himself under the others wide horizontal slash and rolled up to his feet a couple meters away while catching the flailing book in his outstretched hand. "You do that again and I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YA!" Geheimnis yelled while the mouth on the books spine clearly tried to gnaw on his hand, without much success. Not surprisingly the vizard did not believe him... If this continued for much longer he'd have no choice but to use the binding spell to disable him for a while so he could find Ashley and stop this madness...
That was when the Vizard decided to charge at him once more however and as Edrian began to read the boys movements and was about to side-step the attack a blur appeared behind the boy but before Edrian could call out to the fool a sword had penetrated his chest and created a large hole in it through sheer force. Blood and less sanitary things splattered in Edrian's direction and though he covered his face through sheer instinct it had happened so fast that he had no time to truly react properly and so his dark purple cape-like mantle which had fallen over his entire right side after all the sudden movements dodging the vizard got completely covered in red, though parts also got onto his grey robe... And he just washed it!
Like if someone had pulled a one-liner Geheimnis said "I like this guys style!" and though the book might have intended to say more it didn't have time to, and neither did Edrian, as a leg suddenly whirled around the now dead vizard as a body soon followed aiming to deliver a kick into his gut. Having collected himself somewhat Edrian was able to react quickly enough to produce his normally concealed Combat Knife as he channelled reiatsu into it just moments before the kick connected however it did so with such force that after a momentary power-lock the knife was blown out of his hand as Edrian himself was sent tumbling off the building, just barely righting himself before he hit the solid concrete below while his knife probably landing on-top of one of the buildings further behind him now, great... "Man, why do I have to be the doll of such a pussy when there are bad-asses like that running around..?" Geheimnis seemed to mutter to himself though to Edrian it was obvious the Doll was intentionally saying it out loud, otherwise it would not have said it at all.
While he had avoided serious damage by partially deflecting the kick Edrian's left arm had probably taken some internal damage from the sheer force behind the blow judging by how numb it felt though that was preferable to being paste on the next buildings wall. Still, it was clear his new opponent was both faster and much stronger than him... He'd really have to use every trick in the book to get out of this one.
Just then a loud bang sounded out from somewhere off to the side, though exactly what it had been was impossible for Edrian to say though before he had time to act his new adversary appeared before him again, walking slowly toward the Bount while his large sword scraped across the ground behind him. Edrian steadied himself as he grabbed the purple cloth around his neck and with a quick motion pulled it off and let it drop to his feet before he took up a battle-ready pose, all while observing every detail on the man identifying him as an Arrancar. While he remained in his position as the man approached Edrian's mind was working in overdrive trying to figure out just how to get out of this situation while simultaneously connecting the dots. "You... I knew it, you arrancar are behind all this senseless bloodshed aren't you!?" Edrian said aloud to the man and though he wasn't yelling it was clear that he was upset, though he still appeared calm and collected. As was perhaps not much of a surprise however the arrancar didn't seem to even hear what he said and with a vacant look in his eyes the man stopped a few meters from Edrian and began to speak...
'Expected interloper... Whoever this 'Death' is he must know a lot about the workings of this world to have arranged this and singled out potential threats to this plan... Whatever it is...' Edrian thought as he quickly digested what Aggribel said into what he already knew of the situation. "Mama this mama that, geez I take back what I said earlier this guy's a complete mama's boy. Do me a favour and don't die to this bitch will ya? It would be embarrassing." Edrian just tuned out the expected chatter of his doll as he started to device a battle strategy, however before he could so much as react the man was staring him in the face and the massive sword soon followed... A giant plume of dust and debris shot into the air after the claymore blade cleaved a several meter long trench into the ground though Edrian was no longer there. He was lucky he had not had time to change power through Geheimnis, had he still not had Hirenkyaku active Edrian would now be dead without a doubt and he knew this full well as he stood at the edge of a nearby building looking more than a tiny bit shaken by the sheer ferocity behind Aggribels attack. It had been on an entire other level to that first kick...
Sadly Edrian did not have any time to counter-attack as Aggribel seemed to pick up the trail quickly and shot at him like a bullet though given the distance between them Edrian was able to quickly throw himself to the side as Aggribels blade nearly tore the building in half as concrete slabs rained down on a nearby street. Rolling up on his feet after dodging the attack Edrian just now noticed he was bleeding from his left shoulder... This wasn't right, he had avoided both attacks why was he bleeding? Luckily it wasn't much more than a flesh wound though it was the fact he had sustained it at all that puzzled and startled Edrian. However this time despite the slight distraction he had happened upon he was quick to react thanks to his multiple thought-processes and so just a moment after getting back on his feet he had flipped Geheimnis open and changed to a specific page and without looking away from Aggribel he switched from Hirenkyaku to Twin White Lightning, a kido he had picked up a long time ago when he was still in Europe, and pointing his hand at Aggribel a brilliantly white bolt of electricity that seemed to almost take the shape of a drill flew out toward the arrancar. Normally he'd have used his more wide-spread ability Fiery Fury, but there was too high of a risk of wounding civilians to use that here...
---
"After that initial display, I never imagined you to be capable of civilized conversation." A voice sounded out from behind Death and Sojukin as Kehieleth seemingly appeared out of nowhere, clearly referencing when Sojukin had fought for the third espada position. Though the former Vasto Lorde was still in Azerin's body the hollow carapace seemed to be covering at least half of his body now, though it was uneven and split over several areas while black and gold-lined clothing concealed much of it. Anyone who had seen him back in his "glory" days however would recognize the mask that covered half of his face, slightly different in shape due to Azerin's completely human proportions but otherwise identical even down to the dark purple vine-like marks seemingly slithering over it, the eye covered by the mask was an unmistakable glowing gold colour with black surrounding it while the other eye's iris was merely gold coloured.
Even without the ability to sense reiatsu it probably wouldn't be hard to assume Kehieleth had grown in strength or at least managed to corrupt more of Azerin's soul since he last visited Las Noches a few weeks ago though obviously the exact nature of Kehieleth's state of being would be unknown to anyone but Death and a few others. However the exact extent of Kehieleth's current power was impossible for a 'normal' person to detect as he was concealing that as well.
The fallen Vasto Lorde walked up a few meters behind the group seated at the edge of the Tokyo tower as he looked out across the vast city, sensing all the clashing of reiatsu as a smirk grew on his face. "A wonderful display, been a long time since I've seen something of this nature." He remarked seemingly absent-mindedly, though he was clearly enjoying it though given he couldn't actually SEE most of it it was probably the sensations that he was picking up. His many thousand years of experience had made him able to tell basic emotional states when reiatsu was released in vast quantities and this was the ideal situation for his sensitive senses, as such the current chaos was almost like a drug to him. Still smirking Kehieleth turned his attention back to Death and Sojukin "I assume the message has been delivered to the Shinigami already, so it should only be a matter of time before they arrive. I am curious how they will respond however, it might just become another event of interest this day." Though his voice did not betray it, Kehieleth was anticipating the Shinigami's appearance for there was something he had wanted to do for a very long time now and he deemed this to be the perfect time.

Well things dissolved quite quickly, between Kuatara ranting about them, which she pretty much ignored, and a member from Central 46 actually showing their faces. The fact that one of them was there was enough of a bother, but to make matters worse, he spoke in the most incomprehensible dialect she had ever heard. She spent the better part of the meeting trying to translate his words, until the General summed it up quickly enough. Either way, she got what she wanted out of this, so she was satisfied. Now that left the matter of dealing with a certain kid…..
It wasn’t as if she didn’t like Kubi, she loved the kid. The problem was that somehow, he got the idea that only strength impressed her, and that he was too weak to keep her attention, and for some reason, no matter how many times she mentioned that a child at his age already being so powerful was quite an accomplishment, he wouldn’t listen. She really had to figure out a way to break him out of that before he got himself hurt. For now though, she needed to keep him out of this battle.
With perfect timing, as soon as she walked out of the meeting room, she noticed Kubi running around in his new floral robes. Up to now, she still didn’t understand just why he wanted pink robes, but she did at least manage to work out a compromise; he wore black robes, but she would sew in pink flowers to appease him. It wasn’t as if she minded his obsession with pink too much, but an all pink robe was just tacky no matter how you looked at it; he was dressing in style. Back to the main concern though.
“Kubi, I know that you can handle normal hollow, the problem is that the city is swarming with arrancar, plus, the espada and Horror Vacui are there. I know that you’re strong, but as it is, it’s questionable if all of the captains are going to make it out of this fight.”
Noting that Kubi wasn’t looking very pleased with this, she decided t go with another tactic to stop him from running into the battle. “Besides, all of the hollow are likely to try to sneak into Soul Society while we’re gone. You can’t come onto the front lines, but you can stay with the defensive group and deal with the inevitable attacks.” And now the puppy dog eyes. He was being even more stubborn than usual, but Rin was well aware that he was out of his league. It looked like she would have to use drastic measures here.
“Kubi, I understand the need to get stronger, but rushing into a battle with opponents out of your league will just get you seriously hurt. If you want to grow stronger that quickly….there is a way I can fast forward your training later, but it will push you to the limits, and you will need to be in your best condition.”
She had more to say, but she noticed an aura of sheer depression radiating from a corner. And by that, she meant Captain Shiboo. And of all the times to fall into a depression. Walking by him, she didn’t say a word, but her left hand reached out, and gripped his ear firmly between her digits, dragging the melancholy captain along with her and refusing to let go, albeit only pulling with enough force to cause pain if the captain lagged behind; she just needed him to keep up, and a jolt of pain was a good way to snap him out of it. Rin was definitely among the physically stronger captains, and considering the captain’s chivalrous nature, odds were that he wasn’t going to try very hard to break loose. Either way, she had him tagging along while finishing with Kubi.
With a sigh she reached into her robes, dropping a couple of her healing shots in Kubi’s hands. “I’m well aware that you won’t listen, so if you manage to sneak out anyway, can you at least stay with the other seated officers in the attack group? You might end up protecting them depending on how things go……”
Kubi agreed, and while Rin didn’t particularly trust him to behave, she decided to give him the benefit of the doubt; that and make sure that at least seven people were watching him.
“Well now that we’ve dealt with that, Kubi, this is Captain Shiboo. Captain, this is Kubi. Now Shiboo, normally, I would be a bit gentler with you, but as things stand, we don’t have time for this, and as such, I apologize for my roughness. I told you before; there is no point in focusing on the fallen; instead of drowning in your guilt, focus on ensuring that no more of your soldiers need to die under your watch. If you die, then their sacrifice will truly be in vain.”
Letting go of Shiboo, Rin lifted her hat off her head, dusting it off and dropping it on the other captain’s head in one smooth motion. “On a more selfish note, I find the amount of people I can actually call friends to be severely limited. As such, I prefer them to stay among the living for as long as possible, and I’m not beyond taking advantage of their natures to do it. I’m letting you borrow my hat for this battle, and I expect you to return it to me personally afterwards. It’s the only one I have, and it took me forever to make it, so I’ll be quite disappointed if you don’t return it in relatively good condition.”
She took a good look at Shiboo, and wasn’t able to hide the slight smile at how he looked under her hat. Maybe the shock would lighten him up a bit. “As of now, I’m sure that you have your own preparations to make at your division; your men need leadership, and a confident captain will inspire confidence in them, so I’ll stop taking up your time. Goodbye Shiboo-san, and remember, don’t damage my hat. I’m taking it on your word of honor that I’ll get it back.”
After thoroughly forcing that promise on Shiboo, Rin scooped Kubi up, shunpoing off to her division to get her soldiers organized. They had a lot to get organized in a little amount of time.

(OOC: I know its VERY LITTLE, ESPECIALLY since I’m ONE of the LAST TO POST. But please understand that I ONLY have TWO CHARACTERS and NOTHING TO SAY with ONE of them. Either way, I’M SORRY. Have a MAGNIFICENT MAGNIFICO DAY.)
The meeting room was going to get hectic when Kuatura finally decided to step in to shut everyone up. While Yasuo was first surprised by that reaction, the respect it inspired in him was softened a great deal when he stepped back, as if afraid of the Captains’ reactions. It was still interesting to see the devotion he had towards his Captain. He was already seeing the anarchy coming back any time when a new entity in the form of a Captain stepped in the room to prove him wrong. Why everyone (including him) remained silent as the unfamiliar face began to organize them as it saw fit was something that he would never find an answer to. Yasuo could not respond to the Captain of the Zero Division. It wasn’t just a matter of speaking up to a superior, but rather more along the lines of him not understanding a word of what he was saying. He could figure out what the decision was based on the Commander General’s final words for the meeting.
Yasuo sighed as he followed the rest of the members of his team out of the meeting room. However, his sigh was not of relief precisely. Sure, he had been maintained as part of the teams to take action and there was still some hope for him to do something useful for once; but he had been paired up with the weaklings. He didn’t really think he was exceptional in strength in comparison to the rest of the Vice-Captains, but still they were just a bunch of Lieutenants rather than true Captains. If they encountered something like a Espada or, in the worst case scenario, a Horror Vacui, then their numbers wouldn’t make a difference at all. As long as it was a Captain-level opponent, they would probably still fall one by one like flies. Summarized, he was quite sure that this Squad was not perceived as one to be relied on heavily, and if that was the case, his opportunities to clean his name were scarce at best. No signs of optimism remained in the pirate-like Shinigami.
His humor didn’t improve when he came to examine more closely his companions. He exited the meeting room along with Kuatura and Sagara, as Aiko had already decided to go ahead of them for only God knew what reason. He barely knew him even though they were both Vice-Captains since Aiko was newer in the position, but he had never had a reason to dislike him so far. However, that didn’t really soften the fact that he found his attitude annoying (hypocritical thought for him to have, since he probably wasn’t any different). Normally he would try to brush it all off and try to get along with everyone with his idiotic personality, but just thinking about it gave him a headache this time, and that’s when he realized how much all this issue of him failing as a leading figure was getting to him. What bother him, however, was Sagara’s words to Kuatura as they exited the meeting room. If he remembered correctly, unlike the rest of the team, Sagara was not a Vice-Captain, so watching him address a superior like that was not something he approved of to say the least.
‘Who do you think you are, talking like that to your superiors? And if you are going to do so, then the least you can do is defend your point rather than walk away before receiving a response’ was what Yasuo thought on his head, but his still present headache told him to avoid confrontations this time around. Normally, Sagara would be either lying on the ground unconcious or flying like a shooting star.
“Well, you heard him”, Yasuo said with a voice lacking in energy and even with some sarcasm to Kuatura. “At least for the part that says you are the boss, he’s right. Do your best.”
Yasuo remained in place looking at Aiko and Sagara talking next to the tree. At least those two could still get along, or so it seemed from a distance.

Left, right, left, right, left, right, left right.............
He repeated to himself as his feet trotted in front of him, trying to push thoughts of his ex partner and best friend’s defection and betrayal from his mind. Hoping the repetitive cadence of his run coupled with the loud rock music playing from his iPod would take away the images and sounds of explosions going off, of kids barely old enough to have hair on their balls being torn to bits by flying shrapnel. Or the group the man he thought of as a brother left to join coming to their home and attacking killing even more of the people they had lived with for years. People they both knew and shared memories and experiences with. More than anything he wanted to clear his mind of the look on his partners face as those atrocities were committed. Or the ferocity with which he fought against him, the pure belief in what he was doing was correct. The complete absence of the person he knew from the visage of the man he had now become, with almost no warning whatsoever. Not surprisingly that though his evening ritual of a 20k runs had barely begun he didn’t think he would have any luck with forgetting what had happened to Daijiro and what happened thereafter at his hands.
Even being as preoccupied with his thoughts and the noise of the world outside his headphones being tuned out it was still dumbfounding when the overwhelming presence of a group of arrancar about half a kilometer from his position could be felt, stopping Zero in his tracks. Finally taking in his surroundings He was sure that there were many others throughout the city as well.
“Fuck!” He grunted to himself disappointed in not being more alert.
Almost instantaneously though, the feeling of disappointment was replaced by one of exhilaration as these hollow could provide more than an adequate and much needed distraction from the memories that plagued his psyche. The many warnings he had been given about dealing with just one arrancar which would normally pose a threat to him let alone a grouping of from what he could tell was about 8 to 10 were ignored just as quickly. Not being a complete block head though, Zero decided he would let the HQ know about what’s going on here and what he felt was going on throughout the city lest he do the unthinkable and actually prove to be mortal this time…… though he doubted it. But just to make sure and also to prevent loss of innocent life in other areas where he couldn’t get to quick enough he figured he’d call, while retrieving his cell from his pants pocket, Zero paused as a realization dawned on him.
Why haven’t they alerted me? He questioned himself.
Zero knew full well that members within the brotherhood would have been more capable than he of detecting arrancar as they came through their portals, especially when this many were involved. Yet there were no alert calls made from the base, meaning one of two things. Communications were down or……
Looking back towards the direction of the school, Zero could see large flames and could make out smoke billowing into the night sky from that direction. He rapidly dialed the HQ’s base on his cell as he began sprinting back towards the base, after a few rings the call was answered.
“Base this is Zero. Status report” He barked into the phone.
“Hello. This is the Brotherhood base of operations; we can't currently come to the phone right now because-” came the reply from an unfamiliar voice with a French accent.
Just before the phone was hung up Zero could hear a blood curdling scream followed directly by the silence of the call disconnecting. Pumping reiatsu into his body, an aura of white energy surrounded him as he sped up making a bee-line back to the school he and his comrades called home, completely forgetting about the groups of arrancar he sensed elsewhere around the town, his only thoughts were of protecting his friends.
As he neared the building from the rear, his senses became flooded with the mass of reiatsu around it. Victoria the new leader of the brotherhood was on the other side. Her power making her stand out from the attackers she faced like a wildfire to lit match sticks on a dark night. She did not need his assistance, but he figured that since she was outside and the phone had been answered by someone definitely not part of the brotherhood, that the attackers had made their way inside and that was where he would be needed most. His assumptions had been confirmed as he came within 50 yards of the HQ as a young human boy burst through the ceiling landing in a broken and bloody heap outside the school. Zero did not pause to check the boy, he pushed reiatsu into his legs and leapt up to the roof coming to a stop just in front of the hole the boy had in the ceiling.
Looking down through the hole, he took a micro second to sort the situation going on below him before jumping headlong into the action so as to not interfere with his comrades whom he could feel engaging the enemy inside. Looking below, Zero saw Raizuki Seiani attacking a rapier wielding man whom he deduced to be a vizard from the feel of the reiatsu he gave off. The blonde vizard blasted her with a shot of energy from his swords tip knocking her out of Zero’s view though he was sure that level of attack would do little to give her pause, along with Zero himself, Seiani, who was known around the brotherhood for being unknown and keeping to herself, was regarded as one of the strongest members of the human factions of the brotherhood. As Zero prepared to jump down and engage the vizard, a bount he vaguely recognized, as he had few dealings with her personally attempted to slam her shield into his target below. The attack was avoided though it seemed as if that may have been her plan as she did not appear fazed by her attack failing and then parried an attack from the vizard while her doll rushed him from the opposite side.
Seeing this as an opening for him to join in an attempt to put an end to things, Zero charged reiatsu into his fist and waited for the bount and her doll to get into flanking position which he figured would force the vizard to jump straight up to avoid being pincered by their combined attacks. Giving Zero a perfect chance to strike from above, he readied his attack and leapt down head first with a glowing white fist extended as the vizard did exactly as Zero thought he would and was currently rising up towards him. Just before the two would collide he let out a mighty battle cry likened to the roar of a wild lion, his aura though still mainly white began rippling around him with bolts of crimson flickering within it as he increased his power.

So much squabbling and racket was one thing that was making the tired and sleep-depraved Minoru particularly agitated as order was breaking down in this meeting. He himself was almost prepared to raise his voice to order everyone else to shut up and force civility down their throats, but luckily Kuatara burst out first in defense of the Commander General himself only to be cut off by a rather thickly accented man representing the Central 46. The Twelfth Division Captain had lots of experience dealing with the bureaucrats and highbrow nobility, so he had encountered the rasta-tongued man known as Masaka Ikagi on a few brief occasions but he never really knew much about the man asides from that he and Kazuma had a bit of a history; the details of which Minoru had never been inclined to pry into. Minoru was not impressed much by what he was hearing even if it wasn't so much applying to he himself, but regardless, the way it sounded like Central 46 was coming close to disregarding the threat of the Horror Vacui posed and simply accusing the Gotei 13 of having screwed up, it made him have another reason to not particularly have any love for them. For the most part the majority of them considered themselves too above the rest of everyone else to even breathe the air outside their own chambers, let alone ever having set foot into Rukongai, by what merit did Central 46 have to declare themselves to be wise, all-knowing and especially all controlling? The Daichi clan was just below the Great Noble Houses in power and wealth and had always been one of the greatest financial benefactors to the Gotei 13 in all of Seireitei, either in recruitment of promising new recruits before his time or in the form of supplying 12 of the 13 Divisions with the equipment and technology that his Twelfth Division produced. What was Central 46 really good for? Minoru for one was so eagerly awaiting them to be history but it seemed that just wasn't going to happen soon enough thanks to the Horror Vacui. Upon leaving the meeting room, Minoru yawned as he approached Yun and decided to actually attempt to converse with the zanpakuto spirit perched on who some considered to be his rival's shoulder. "To be honest, Kitten-kun, I doubt he's actually trying to fuck with us, it's all probably just natural. They only see the world to include the Seireitei, with no understanding that our existence. Shingami and zanpakuto alike, we exist to protect the both worlds and their inhabitants, not for us to play bodyguards for bureaucrats to control so they can hold their rule over this world... " It was clear that Minoru was under the weather from lack of sleep, so much that his sentences were somewhat spaced out and his usually collected attitude was thrown out the window. "...Anyways, we should prepare for the coming battle. I have a very bad feeling that things are only going to get worse for the time being. Meet you four later on the battlefield."Minoru departed from Yun's presence after saying farewell to the fellow captain and his zanpakuto who he was aware to be made up of a total of three different personalities. Returning to his own base of operations, the Twelfth Division Captain had to inform his Vice-captain, Hana of the situation and to have him find Iko and tell the Seventh Division Vice-captain to meet Kuatura and the other Vice-captains. The departing words of the Commander General during the meeting were still fresh in everyone's minds, this Death figure truly was something else. Something only as powerful as he was mysterious, and from the perspective of a man like Minoru who for the most part recognized that fear was only the byproduct of not understanding something, Minoru was deeply worried about what the Horror Vacui was capable of. - - - Deep underground in the NWO's HQ, Daniel stood in awe as the Stealth Operative named Vance Takahashi had effectively incapacitated the hollow threat using the large energy cannon to it's fullest potential by overriding it's output limiter. Wasteful as all hell seeing as the single massive beam of destruction unloaded the entire weapon's energy reserves and effectively fried its internal circuits and partially melted it's barrel and chamber, but absolutely effective seeing as the armored hollow was obliterated and the spider hollow was wounded beyond saving. Soon after the blast had cleared, the Battle Operative didn't bother waiting a moment and quickly resumed fired down the hallway with his own cannon, his armored suit having protected him from the charging energy blast far greater than Takahashi's flimsy protection that had proven unable to protect against the surging torrents of energy collected by the dangerous weapon. While the Stealth Operative had to scream out in pain, the Battle Operative was only nearly knocked off his feet and into the wall from not having expected such a massive attack like, say, the scientist did. "If I may say, that was.... glorious." Daniel remarked rather flatly after the last hollow lay dead and disintegrated in a cloud of black haze, and the hallway was eerily quiet asides from the sounds of alarms going off throughout the facility and the distant explosions, gunfire of numerous isolated skirmishes accompanied by the occasional iconic hollows' howl. Asides from his earlier remark, the next thing anyone had heard was even more glorious in Daniel's mind. The voice of the President, the voice of Mankind's triumph against the evil invading spirits, the Boss was speaking to his loyal soldiers. The Boss was ordering their forces to concentrate on the outer defenses and leave the remaining shinigami to him, and Daniel was compelled to obey, but he felt torn in that something in him wanted him to disobey his master's command and go after them himself. Dare he disobey the word of the highest authority in order to actually prove himself? It was the Boss whose technology rebuilt Daniel with his improved cybernetic body, if he were to pursue the shinigami within the base instead of fortify the exterior breaches, would it be no different than if the Boss himself dealing with the intruders with any other ordinance in his godly arsenal? The Battle Operative's vital readings were beginning to go haywire from the indecision within himself, and deep within the desire to kill was growing stronger and stronger with reach passing second. Obey, disobey? What difference did they make so long as every single vile, unclean spirit that showed itself was annihilated as Daniel see fit? - - - Not long after the Captains' Meeting was adjourned, the whole of Seireitei was coming alive as word was getting out that the Captains, Vice-captains, and even a handful of other elite seated officers were being called out to prepare for some sort of operation in the Living World. Details were scarce, but evidence was clear that something serious was about to go down when the Tenth Division newcomer bore witness to the commanding officers of the other squads' forces gathering together. Takeshi was not one for clearly hearing specific details as clearly as others, especially from a distance, however from who he had caught glimpse of he knew that this would be an ideal opportunity to make up for everything. He listened in enough to tell that this would be a dangerous mission, and one that he wouldn't be able to just tag along normally even if his combat testing had put him in a ranking comparable to some of the people being sent out. The unseated shinigami began searching frantically in the area for his own squad captain, hopefully Captain Yun would see things his way and allow Takeshi to risk himself for this. Luckily the Tenth Division Captain stood out even among a crowd with his cape-like attire, so when he was seen walking down an empty balcony with a cat on his shoulder, he was impossible to miss and within minutes the somewhat-similarly more-modern-appearing subordinate had managed to navigate his way to meet up with his captain. "Excuse me, Captain," Takeshi uttered quietly, hoping to get his superior's attention and permission to speak. It was going to be an interesting situation for Takeshi to ask Yun for permission to accompany the group of combatants being led by Vice-captain Katayama. "Sir if I may, I demand you let me fight with the others being sent to Earth in the upcoming battle. I have to make up for everything I've - " It was at moment that he realized how impetuous he must have sounded, but regardless he did not let himself stand down. In fact, he made a stand and spoke up with a certain assertive confidence that wasn't natural to him unless he was damn well certain he wasn't going to give up. "Captain, I know I can be of help in the upcoming battle, I'd rather die for something than live for nothing. It was my fault for being too weak before, but now I'm able to stand and fight. Give me the chance to prove that you going to Hueco Mundo wasn't a waste." Takeshi was aware that Yun was a person who didn't stand for people who hold back their team, but he knew that he had what it took to help make the difference somehow. If not he wouldn't have dared stand before the captain he idolized and speak up like this. Hopefully the captain would be able to empathize with his subordinate's plight to not be a useless waste who should have been left to die in a white fortress. - - - It was kinda shameful when you got down to it, the message had gotten out for all the leaders of all the squads to sit in for this meeting, but Iko was unable to bring herself to show. The bulk of the people in attendance were all squad captains, and being in the middle of their presence now of all times was not what the Vice-captain of Squad Seven needed at the moment. With Captain Arashi nowhere to be accounted for, Iko had assumed de facto leadership of the division until the captain could be accounted for and by all standards she should have been in that room but in honest truth she was too concerned that she'd be too timid and make her squad look weak that she was hoping that nobody would even notice that nobody from the kido-division was present. Of course she still heard everything on the other side of the door, where she hid and concealed herself with a small, personal barrier to stay out of sight and avoid detection so it wasn't like she was unaware of the situation going on inside, but still she felt utterly useless. She waited quite a while for everyone to leave, so she also was able to overhear that Ikagi-person and the Commander General's conversation, to which she was able to understand with greater clarity than others might thanks to her phase with reggae music a few years back. She didn't know if she could trust that guy from Central 46, but what she was sure of was that something about him frightened her. For someone who must have held so much authority over even the Gotei 13 was rather intimidating and she wanted nothing to do with him if she could help it. As soon as she was certain he was gone and the Commander Gereral wasn't nearby, Iko discreetly took off to try to find Captain Daichi, one of the few that she was comfortable around thanks to her own close sisterly friendship with his Vice-captain Hana. Hopefully she'd be able to get him to talk to Kazuma on her behalf if her absence was going to cause some sort of issues later on, but before she could find him, something just as good came along in the form of Hana herself, who had actually been sent from Minoru to tell her to meet up with Kuatura-kun. Hopefully if Hana was there with her, the First Division Vice-captain wouldn't raise a fuss about her earlier absence, though regardless he would have no feasible argument to deny their inclusion for this mission. "I'm sorry for my absence earlier, but it seems your crack team is a bit shorthanded. We'll be accompanying you gentlemen to provide kido and ranged support seeing as well, no offense, those departments are rather lacking without us." Even if any of the men present were to get worked up over Iko's remarks, it was true that between Kuatura, Yasuo, Aiko and Sagara, their kido was lacking even if they were all stronger swordsmen. And then those who knew about Hana's zanpakuto would be fools to deny her help in a large, dangerous battle against strong opponents who would need heavy firepower to take down, not to mention that maybe any special science-knowledge held hostage in her head could potentially be of great value.

((OOC: All captains/related-shinigami can either skip this round or if they so desire detail how exactly they get ready for the coming entry into the real-world. Allowing a post to pass so that the events sync up a bit more chronologically.))
--------------------------
Chaos merely glared at Minoru when he talked with him. Minoru might have known more about Yun’s spirit, it had been capable of physical manifestation for many years and so many had laid eyes on it’s various forms. Thus it was common knowledge that the black one was hotheaded and didn’t seem to like anyone to much, even if their exact purpose was unknown. Thus as Yun’s spirit and this particular one embodying his darker thoughts it was no particular surprise that it did not like Minoru. Still Yun departed with him on kinds words, after all Chaos was only one of his many facets. Didn’t stop the kitten from hanging onto his shoulder and peeping over it at the back of the departing captain until they were out of sight.
He returned to Tenth Division for a time to pick up those he would bring along. He had lost a lot of people in the assault on Las Noches, unlike many of the other Divisions he couldn’t simply say all the seated members needed to muster. Of course Desmae and what remained of the Deaths Hand were coming but aside from that he was forced into last minute promotions. He had been taking his time carefully weighing the applicants value before but with a battle upon them they had to have a chain of command. Desmae who he had previously held as a completely separate force from his seated squadron was moved to a temporary Vice-captain position, as well several of his best were moved to the following seats. Even so, they still had half a roster empty and while there were plenty of members in tenth division few of them were strong enough to fill the role.
While they might have been low on personnel there were still enough workers that the actual division grounds had been repaired since the attack. They were still piecing through the remains of the tower but the actual headquarters was fully repaired, the large walls once more standing around it and the pavilions between the buildings of lethality stone replaced. It was under one of the pavilions that the group was mustering and where Takeshi approached him. The boy had been adamant about joining and after seeing his power and mental scores he had no real reason to deny him, especially as they were. Still just because he was something of a prodigy didn’t mean he was going to get special treatment. But when he approached him he at least had enough presence to turn to him for a moment amongst the busying work before him, he nodded as if to suggest he was listening.
His face didn’t betray any thought but as soon as the boy used the word “demand” a weight dropped down on top of his head. A moment later the black kitten was back and was peering down into Takeshis face from where it was situated on top of him, “Oh you DEMAND do you? Alright then, out with it.”
From then on every time he uttered a word the kitten jumped up and landed it’s full weight on to his head, perhaps to see if he would give up. Assuming he finished Yun gave him the same neutral untelling look he had the whole time, then reached forward and pried the kitten off his head which saw him exploding into a ball of red mist. Yun then crossed his arms then turned away from him and nodded to Desmae who had by this point noticed the distraction from where he had been in front of the Captain.
Desmae approached Takeshi and looked him over then spoke, “Under any other circumstances you’d be cleaning the Crypt for twenty years before you got this chance. But we need anyone who can fight, you think you can fight? Then your with me, but you do everything I tell you, and if you wind up dieing you die with honor in the name of the Division and Soul Society. If that’s clear wait here with the rest of us, we’ll be making our way to the Senkaimon shortly.”

By the time Minoru returned to the headquarters the seated members were already lined up and ready to go, or seeing to particular devices they would need shortly. Before them was Hana in all his glory as he marched back and forth giving a mock battle speech. He was acting far more serious than he was known for and this was making more than a few of those present break out in fits of giggles, which was of course what he was known for, for better or worse. However the moment he spotted Minoru he came flying at him though he stopped just short of tackling him, instead spinning to his side with his arms behind him back. He cocked his head to the side and smiled, pointing to the mustered force as if to suggest they were ready, say what you would about Hana he was efficient orders or no. He also seemed to be holding back on his usual cheery self, it was less the situation as he had just been joking and more years of experience with Minoru, he quickly caught on to the mans demeanor and lack of sleep and knew right now wasn’t the time for driving him up his usual wall.
He ordered him to go locate Iko, whom Hana had known was not present at the meeting despite currently being the temporary leader of Seventh Division. Hana was fine with this order as Iko was his best friend outside the Twelfth Division, he also had a suspicion as to why she had been absent though he was smart enough to leave it be when he met her. Either way he went bounding out of the primary control room with renewed enthusiasm in a not quite run, not quite walk, a ralk. Hana would probably have spent the better part of an hour hunting her down if she had been at her own divisional headquarters but threw some string of fate they almost ran right into each other the moment he walked out the front door. There was a pause as he tried to figure out what to say he settled for a moderately jovial, “Iko-tan! I was about to come look for you.”
Iko suggested they go speak with Yam-kun, Hana had no real reason to accompany her but Mini-sama was capable of handling the rest himself. He had the distinct feeling she wanted him to accompany her so that there was less of a chance something was said about her absence at the meeting. Being her friend he wasn’t really going to say no so off they went hunting down the Vice-captain. However it soon became evident they had no idea where he might be given that he had been ordered to work with three other divisions other an Iko’s.
Hana was the one to suggest, “Then perhaps we should go to the Senkaimon where they will go after.”
Upon arrival they found that the other groups had yet to show up leaving third division tending to the gates preparation and Kuatura standing alone before them. Hana was about to say something when Iko approached first and made herself known with a less than respectful prose. This caused Hana to cringe a little as if he would have preferred a more amicable intro though he quickly recovered and said nothing. It just seemed being absent from the meeting would have put a little more humbleness into Iko when making a request. However when Iko made it clear she intended to have Hana accompany her he retrieved a white communicator from his pocket and turned around, he began to tell Minoru what had occurred in a surprisingly professional manner, it was one of the occasional times others were reminded that Hana was actually pretty normal on the inside.
Kuatura had turned around at Iko’s remark. There was a long pause in which his eyes clearly studied her, though not in any strange way, simply as if he were considering how to respond, there was also a hint of confusion as if perhaps she had caught him in some deep revelry. It was possible that he was concentrating on the task at hand, much like Hana he was more than he often appeared. After that long pause though he seemed to just let her absence and her comment roll over him and concluded with a “Right. The others will be here once they have their groups together. If you have anyone from Seventh that can help contact them now. Depending on what our final tally is then I’ll designate positioning.”
He gave another nod and then turned around watching third division continue the gate preparations, though to view him head on showed that it was more like he was looking through them. Perhaps he considered this a chance to make up for their previous loss, or maybe this was just how he always was before a mission since few of them had actually accompanied him during the preparations before.
--------------------------
He had been listening to the alarms blaring and reading the orders issued by Richard for some time. Still Derrick had remained where he was at the bequest of the medical staff but he was about at the end of his rope of patience. Several weeks ago that monster of a girl leading the Brotherhood had broken him to pieces but the NWO's advanced medical treatment had seen him back and better than ever. Beyond the basic healing his skeleton had been rigged with a solid metal framework that had been tempered with soul energy. Right now it was insuring his bones which while healed were weakened, did not break, but in the future they would increase his strength several times over. Still due to his weakened state he had been ordered to remain where he was, they had plenty of people on defense anyhow including his own HALO Storm which should have been returning from the field anytime now, unfortunately they had been one of the furthest out.
Still even without complete details it was obvious the operation was not going as smoothly as could be hoped. At least one of the intruders had made it past their defenses and penetrated the facility and several others were pushing even their best back. It was right when those following the first intruder reported that they had lost him that a mild tremor shook the room he was in and he, being one of the few who could sense spiritual energy without a sensor, picked up the high signature just a few meters from them. Not able to stay back any longer he crept to the door and it slid open before him as he looked around the corner, he might have been a powerhouse but he was currently weaponless and his body still wasn't completely healed. Subtlety was his friend in this situation for once.
He heard footsteps and felt energy approaching, he could tell just from that it wasn't human. Just as it was about to pass the door he flung himself outward in a wide swing with his left arm. He caught a surprised man who seemed to be deep in thought, or perhaps concentration, completely unprepared and he had no time to dodge. His monstrous fist caught him in the gut and picked him clear off the ground where he road the force of the blow for several moments before he went flying down the hall. He had clearly had the breath knocked right out of him but from the look of pain on his face he might well have broken several ribs inside as well, the reinforcement along with his natural strength and reiatsu was something for anyone to be wary of.
Still the shinigami recovered quickly enough and pulled what looked somewhat like a gun on him. Derrick had a split-second to make a decision and considering the distance between them and not knowing what it was capable of he settled on dodging. This proved the accurate decision as just as he slid to the side a bright light encompassed his vision for a moment before he looked and saw a long line cut in the floor where he had been before it finally ended in a large perfectly circular hole in the wall at the far end of the hallway. He quickly tried to move on the shinigami before he fired again but by that point he realized the man was already gone.
It only took him a moment to spot another perfectly circular hole in the ceiling through which the man had clearly fled. It would normally have taken a more lithe and acrobatic individual to follow but Derrick was so tall he could actually reach and get a hold on the opening. He grunt and a moment later had supported his weight and pulled himself through, finding himself on a higher level. He noted that the weapon had only fired through a single wall and not continued on, he remembered the same thing occurred with the other blast that went down the hall, this seemed a good judgment of the shinigamis ability. It was as he made his way down the hall that his PDA rumbled and the message not to follow the intruders was sent from Richard. Before he obeyed them Derrick instead continued following while he responded to Richard via text.
In pursuit, not far behind. Follow broadcast order or continue following?
He then thought and added.
Enemy limitation. Projectile? can only fire through a single barrier. Certainty: 50%

((OOC: Taking control of Shamus for comedic and timing effect, if you have a problem just tell me.))
The hollow re-righted itself once again and went about trampling anyone near, meanwhile Tank couldn't fire her main gun on it while Reginald was aboard. The aforementioned commander was keeping steady atop the hollow with his weapon aimed at the shinigami. The shinigami sneered at him with obvious superiority and went about making a show of himself. Grunting and making roars as he closed in on Reginald, he then spun in place several times as he twirled the blade in his hand. Reginald fired on him but the shinigami deflected the bullet with his blade before making a show of spinning his blade again as if he knew he would win. Reginald gave him a bemused look for a moment before lowering his gun and bringing his hand up to his headset and motioning with his free hand toward the shinigami.
“Shamus, please.”
A loud bang filled the area and the next moment the shinigami collapsed with an orange sized hole in his skull. Reginald walked up and retrieved the zanpakutou and looked down at the deceased foe who was shortly sent flying when the massive hollow bucked, “It's called technology, should check it out sometime.”
Reginald then ran toward the back-end of the hollow and jumped off, performing a tuck and roll to the ground and under its tail. He then sent a blurb message to Tank and a moment latter she unloaded four shells into the hollows side once again forcing it down. He called to all free units to begin bombarding the downed creature before it could right itself once again.
--------------------------
Ash looked at Sin as he spoke and then surprisingly with no argument whatsoever nodded as if she understood. As Sin took off into the air and began his own attack she closed her eyes for a moment, when she opened them they were hollow and black. She then began to speak though she did not yell her own voice only carrying a few feet but a secondary voice emanated from her, though it was clear it was voiced spiritually and not utilizing her own lungs. It was deep and booming, like the worlds loudest man wielding a speaker phone and it didn’t take a genius to realize it was her inner-hollows voice, this seemed to be confirmed as when she would pause it would voice growls and mild chuckles that she was clearly not producing, a mind of its own.
“You heard the dragon, as long as they don’t attack you don’t attack them. If they do attack do as you like, either way remain with the plan I issued.”
She stopped and then a very malicious call was issued which she did not give physically and so must have been of the hollows own volition, “ALL OF YOU DI-” The voice was cut off as she snapped her head to the side and the black aura disappeared from around her eyes.
Most of the Vizard took note of her as this occurred and none of them seemed to have to much argument, shortly after it was voiced those nearest Sin’s cadre deftly wove around them as they continued the attack. It was immediately evident how the Vizard had survived so long despite being the group with the fewest members in the members of the soul worlds elite groups. They were few but almost every one of them had to be hundreds if not thousands of years old as all but a few were warriors of high rank, at least on the par with one of the Gotei 13’s fifth seats at minimum. Backed by the three powerful hollows and Sin’s own power he was right in assuming this would be over quickly with their combined efforts.
The Vizard had been on the track of victory as it was but that was accelerated several times over at this point. It was no longer a battle so much as a butchering which accelerated every time a human or hollow was eliminated thus allowing those assailants to further pinpoint their attacks with a greater and greater number advantage. It would seem the Vizard had no qualm about playing fair or honorably attacking one on one, they were out for victory. When that victory was clearly in their grasp the few remaining human and hollow that had survived this long, proving themselves the strongest, changed their target. All at once they broke off from their fights surprising most of thei combatants into momentary inaction and made a b-line for Ash. Anyone who had planned a battle before would realize this was not random and was a coordinated effort that had been planned ahead of time.
Though they were far from overpowering at this point and several never actually made it to her being brought down by one of the others before getting near, they were still an impressive assortment against one person. Yet despite this and the fact that she seemed crippled and somewhat incapable she didn’t flinch or appear particularly perturbed in any way. Instead just as they got close to striking distance she once more brought her blade up and pointed it toward the charging foes. For one brief moment it became abundantly clear that appearances could be deceiving and this girl was particularly good at hiding her power level.
She spoke quietly but if heard her accent briefly turned to something completely different and the language spoken was antique, “Katastrefo, Samael.” It might depend on how much he cared but old as he was Sin might recognize it as Ancient Greek, how he felt about it seeing as it had once been the language of those who has worshipped hims conquerors was his to determine, though that had been quite some time ago and there was no real way to determine from when in time she had come.
As soon as the words were spoken a strange feeling pulsed from her blade, as if it was soaked in a self-aware miasma, most individuals found it immediately revolting in nature. Though there were few weaklings here it was often the case that when activated those with weaker wills often felt the need to flee, this was in fact the ancient fight or flight reflex humans had lost with time brought to a keen edge. It was the feeling of a salmon staring down a bear, a battle that simply couldn’t be won with an opponent who was vicious and felt no need to go lightly on you just because of the power gap, it was nature at work, survival of the fittest.
Physically a black bolt of “lighting” shot from her blade just as quickly as that comparison and in a moments time had split into multiple spears and pierced every foe charging toward her. There was a brief pause as they all stopped rushing and made no sound. Then in an instant a thousand black bolts sprung out from inside each one and spilled an excessive and nauseating amount of blood from the group, staining the ground before her. She brought her blade back and the black streak retreated as well letting them all fall to the Earth below them as she wiped the blade off, it somehow being covered in blood in the process before she placed it back on her beltline.
When she had finished the Vizard began to congregate around her as she motioned to Sin to come to here, obviously she would want to have words with him. When he landed she spoke, this time in her own voice which sounded ridiculously weak coming from someone who just did what she had, especially considering who she claimed to be since leaders typically wanted to sound as in control and forceful as possible. Perhaps she did not believe it necessary?
“I am Ashley, I am leader of the Vizard. I am old enough to know by now few beings in this world operate by the strict scale we are often told to believe in. I’m unsure of your motives but you want to help? I won’t complain. I’ve one powerful opponent enough to deal with this day, no need to make it more than needed. Still, betray that wisdom and trust and I will eliminate you all the same.”
The threat was laughable to watch coming from this tiny cripple girl to this gigantic monster oozing reiatsu, yet nobody laughed. It was voiced as softly as the rest and completely without malice, as if she simply considered it matter of fact and felt no need to make it personal. Yet the threat was real, Sin might not have been an easy battle, he was powerful and he knew it, but even so there was the distinct tone to her voice that suggested she would follow through on what was said. It wasn’t the same as someone infinitely powerful taunting a weaker foe, Sin could likely rise to the challenge if it came to that, but after what he had saw and how easily she had accomplished the feat he was no doubt realizing it was not something he would want to try out simply for prides sake. Plus it was not as if she had said it in a demeaning manner.
She pointed in the direction of the Brotherhood HQ, “Alright we're heading out. You three.” She selected three, “You will remain here and look for survivors, Kaito will be finished with his battle momentarily, use his help if necessary.”
Almost as soon as she said this flames erupted from every window in the Cathedral but at the same time the spirit signature other than Kaitos faded, just as she had said.
--------------------------
Kaito was to fast for the boy at this point, he seemed to have an unencroachable advantage. He might not have taken him down in a single attack but it was evident he would be eliminate him shortly. Soon he went from landing kicks and punches to making cuts and slices. Yet even as he was cut apart the young man didn't make a sound, as if he didn't feel any of the pain being inflicted. Still his body was showing the signs of fatigue as he slowed down quite a bit allowing Kaito to make further advances.
Just when victory seemed within his grasp the boy raised his arms out in a grand gesture though tactically it served no purposes. But for the first time he made a sound, he started laughing in a deep unnatural voice for his age and size, much like the disproportion of his body. Flames formed in his hand and he gave a ghastly smile to Kaito, a close look showed he was sweating all over. Then one of Kaitos slices connected with his left arm, cutting it completely off but the boy made no sound. Instead a huge column of flame came flying out of the stump where his arm had big.
“Hey.” The boy said in a deep voice, “Life. Is a blast!”
He gave him one final malicious smile as flames shot out from between his teeth and soon expelled from his eyes, incinerating them in the process. Kaito only had a split second and then the boys entire form incinerated, sending a powerful fire fueled explosion through the entirety of the cathedral and burning just about everything the Vizard owned.
--------------------------
Kuroi came in, brash and firey as always…and then a giant ball of energy missed her head by two inches and blew out the wall directly next to her. Seiani was of course renowned for her introverted nature and hatred of anything not human though she typically dealt with it being one of the highest ranking humans. So it was no great surprise when she shot the bount a dirty look over the comment.
She held her arm up as if suggesting the wall next to them, “Well for starters Kuroi, you might note that he can shoot energy blasts. The more you know…” She shook her head with a growl and sigh before turning back to the Vizard.
However by that point Kuroi was charging in, as she predicted he dodged her strike giving her a chance to observe him. What she didn’t predict was he quick flip in motion to her side so that he was not between her and Akumu, as he performed this swing Seiani charge in and thrust her blade at him. A green bolt of energy lashed out from his tip and headed straight for him, however it became clear he had pulled to the side of the blast and in that moment raised his own blade and shot a similar bolt at Kuroi.
He then continued his spiral in a path toward Seiani probably in an attempt to skewer her, however as he headed toward her she gave a small smile which unfortunately gave him the warning he needed. The green bolt she had fired had missed him and headed off through the nearest wall, presumably till it ran out of thrust. However this proved wrong as it boomeranged back into the room headed for his back. He once again broke to the side dodging the attack and though things hadn’t gone exactly as planned Zero saw this as a proper opportunity to strike. However as he came down in what seemed the perfect counter-attack the Vizard suddenly flash-stepped out of the way leaving him to slam into the ground, and potentially one of the other attackers if they moved incorrectly.
But while things hadn’t gone perfectly the Vizard had given up his advantage in dodging since it was clear he was not longer pressing the attack. Moreover the flash step had not been calculated as he found himself more open than before to the back toward where Akumu currently was. Regardless just charging in would still have been foolhardy, not that any three of the current combatants where well known for considering facts like that.
--------------------------
The other two girls seemed intent on keeping Oketsu cornered, though there was no guarantee of when they would fire they were particularly focused on insuring he did not leave the forest. On one hand this was bad for him as he had to fight but on the other it meant they had to focus on where he might try to run to and couldn't just pummel him all day at the same time he fought the girl. While it was clear he was attempting to save energy it soon became evident he wasn't just going to walk through without expending a little energy. Solanum brought her scythe to the side and deflected the piercing blow with it's shaft, the ridiculous length of the weapon allowed it to continue spinning and the bladed point came down from above. Though Oketsu could continue past her to dodge the initial blow she could easily have continued its spin like a windmill and caught him in the back. All this time the other two had not fired on him, perhaps attempting to lure him into a false sense of security if they didn't fire for some time.

Edrians attack bore down on Aggribel like a freight train full of electricity. Unfortunately if the power gap between them hadn't been obvious before it was about to be made blatantly clear. At first Aggribels body contorted backward like a a spring, his head moving parallel to his feet yet with perfect balance. It appeared he was attempting to let the blow go over him though from any angle it was obvious it would still graze him, doing damage. But when the drill was feet from it's target he uncoiled, it seemed like a ridiculous thought but it appeared he was attempting to build up elastic energy as he brought himself up...though human bodies didn't work like that.
In the last moment his sword was swung freely with his left hand more like a baseball bat than a sharp object and connected with the projectile in midair. The kido shot arcs of white energy out for a moment but was quickly overrun as it was sent flying off to the side and impacted with a building, boring a huge hole into it before disappearing inside. Whoever had planned this either considered Edrians logic the biggest threat to their plan or had simply overestimated him, either way he was in trouble. He however did get one free opening as Aggribel made no attempt to launch toward him, instead refocusing his gaze as if he had been lost in thought for a moment.
Well whoever had decided to send this Arrancar after him surely picked the right man for the job, because not only did this 'man' avoid being hit by the kido, he even deflected it in what seemed an impossible manner... True the hollow hole most Arrancar bore in their chests had always puzzled Edrian, since logically it would be going through numerous vital organs not to mention the spine, but this was just ridiculous! This man didn't seem to have any skeletal structure at all and if he did it had to be made of rubber or something... Well whatever was wrong with this guys body he hardly had the time to analyze it, for if he could deflect the white lightning that easily then logically he'd have been able to dodge it all-together. This naturally meant that Edrian was in big trouble.
"Hmm, might I suggest a hasty retreat? The bitch that runs today lives to whine another day!"
Geheimnis did his usual thing though it was clear he'd prefer if both of them made it out of there alive since their lives were linked. Though Edrian merely grew a scowl on his face as he clenched Geheimnis spine, though ignoring the Doll's string of curses that followed he returned his full focus on the Arrancar that seemed to be lost in thought... Or something... He really couldn't read this 'man' at all... Deciding that it might be best not to simply stand around Edrian immediately began to run to the side away from the Arrancar while still maintaining vision on his enemy, knowing he would most likely strike at any moment. Preparing for this, Edrian flipped Geheimnis open without looking and though it took a bit longer he flipped it up to the page containing the Bakudo spell he had 'attained' at one point. He doubted it would stop the man for long, if at all, but he had to try something. He couldn't just let them start a war between the spiritual factions in Tokyo.
Edrian had called it to as a split second later the area directly behind him exploded sending him into the air. Edrian tucked and rolled to the ground below him as he continued moving, attempting to make his way to the rooftops, where hopefully he could find his blade once again. Unfortunately he wasn't really being given the time of day as when he turned to check on his opponents location he found that, that location was about five feet behind him. And the area he was standing was struck dead on by the blade sending a concrete plume into the air. Edrian certainly couldn't be said to be very powerful, however there were a few things he excelled at and first of those was running. Second was reflexes and reactions and the third was how quick-witted he was along with his ability to make up complex tactics on the fly. Of course against an opponent such as Aggribel you really couldn't employ complex strategies since there was no time to set them in motion. Luckily Aggribel seemed rather simple-minded, so simple strategies seemed to work just as well. Thus when the Arrancar explodified the ground behind him, Edrian immediately threw himself forward while spinning around ending up upside down facing Aggribel and as he did he made a quick triangular motion with his right arm sending three golden triangular spikes flying toward Aggribel the very moment the Arrancar was about to make mince-meat out of Edrian by smashing his massive blade down on him.
However it seemed fortune smiled upon Edrian for a few additional fleeting moments at least as the Arrancar made no attempt to dodge the Bakudo, and as it collided with the man the force it carried while not able to 'pierce' his skin was able to push him back just enough for the blade to strike the concrete just behind the still moving Edrian sending a massive plume of dust and concrete pieces into the air however to Edrian's surprise something seemed to pierce the cloud and before he could react reiatsu hit him in the face like a whip with enough force to make him lose control of his flip making him tumble to the ground.
As he tried to crawl up to his feet a few seconds later Edrian felt like if his face was burning while blood dripped down on the cracked surface under him. Moving his free hand up to his face he could feel a stinging pain as well as the warmth of blood seeping out of a shallow wound that had nearly taken his right eye. It seemed that the force, or perhaps the way in which Aggribel attacked caused reiatsu stored in the blade to be released like a whip, hitting further than the already large blade itself... Though he hardly had the time to sit around, he had to get moving quickly before that monster struck again...
Which to bad for Edrian, was right at that moment. He thought he had bought some time only to watch as Aggribel came busting through the roof below him as he sailed into the air for a brief moment before he came down with a crash. Edrian looked up to find Aggribel perched over him with his blade raised like a hammer once more, this time energy was visibly whipping off the blade suggesting the predator knew he had cornered the prey. Edrian may have been good at running but he was on the ground and the speed at which spirit creatures could move was phenomenal, at this distance the blade had connected with the ground in less than the blink of an eye.
But Edrian felt no pain and a moment later it was clearly evident he was not where he had been. Instead he found himself overlooking the street he had just been on from a nearby rooftop, from here looking down it was evident Aggribels heavy strikes had turned the entire thing into a huge line of rubble. He was being grasped around the waist and looking up he found a face he was somewhat familiar with, they had worked together from time to time, Kitotsan. The man was known for his business like nature but Edrian was smart enough to know he was no ally of Las Noches, and in the past he had spoken of inevitably having to fight them someday. Perhaps he, like the others had foreseen this, but why he had saved Edrian was an unknown.
He lowered the Bount to the ground and dropped the knife he had lost previously to the ground. Below them Aggribel had spent a moment investigating the crater where Edrian should have been but by now had followed their trail, however he was not quick to act as if he was studying the new appearance. Kitotsan pointed to the burning cathedral in the distance that could still be clearly seen from here.
Kitotsan spoke to Edrian in his overly-deep voice, “Go for the Cathedral. Right now Ash needs to hear from someone of the Brotherhood or this will only escalate in the manner the Arrancar are hoping for. I will handle this.”
However as if Aggribel could hear them from where he was his face grew grave. Then a loud “Shwump” sound, like sonido but amplified, filled the area and they found Aggribel standing several roofs away between them and their destination. He tore his head back and opened his mouth in an unnaturally large way with his sword raised high as he released a guttural roar. He brought the blade down in a massive horizontal arc and as if his reiatsu was reaching much further than the blade itself a large gash was torn side to side in the buildings about half a kilometer on each of his sides. He then looked to them as if to dare them to try and pass.
“Or...maybe you should just stay there...” Kitotsan added without amusement.
Edrian was pretty much sure it was over when before he had even gotten up on his feet fully Aggribel crashed through the floor in front of him, standing over him with his blade poised for the killing blow... With no ability to avoid it now Edrian was about to resign himself to his fate, because he knew he had just been running on borrowed time as it was. The difference in power between him and this Arrancar were simply too great... But then he felt like if a sudden tug brought him away and as he wiped the blood from his face he could see a familiar man standing over him.
"K.. Kitotsan?" Edrian could barely believe his eyes. While he had associated with this former Shinigami quite a bit in the past, both to share information and to make use of his services, he had never expected the man to come to his rescue. Of course given what Edrian had assumed to be a great dislike for the denizens of Hueco Mundo it would perhaps be logical to protect those who were targeted by them. The exact reasoning for why Kitotsan did save him remained a mystery for now however.
"Oh it's that Gerard fella! Hey buddy how are the kids? Still as noisy as ever? -ow, OOOOW! STOP THAT!"
Geheimnis complained as Edrian quite clearly seemed intent on making holes in the book with his clenched fingers, either as a way of saying "Shut up you idiot", or just because of him being pissed at his doll. In the end, it was a bit of both since he was well aware that Kitotsan could easily kill him, especially in his currently weakened state. He listened to what the Vizard said and was about to agree with his plan of action when Aggribel blocked their path as he released an impressive burst of reiatsu cleaving dozens of buildings in two practically creating a wall of reiatsu before them... "Yeah... I think that might be best..." Edrian responded.
--------------------------
There was silence between them for a time, then Narcissus laughed. She laughed a hard laugh that was clearly aimed at Sojukin, not with him. When she finally caught her breath she finally spoke, in the meantime Death had just crossed his arms before him again while keeping his eyes off in the distance.
“Oh Sojukin, I hate to sound cliché but wouldn't the better question be what DOESN'T he know about you?” She turned around and continued to giggle.
They were then interrupted by the appearance of Kehieleth, though it didn't do much for dousing the tension in the air. However at least one person seemed amused by his arrival, Death, the only one who until now had seemed neutral or just plain bored with the whole thing was grinning slightly. He turned his head far enough to look at the hybrid man and noted that the carapace was covering quite a bit more of the shinigami body than it had just a week prior.
For a moment he said nothing and then as if he couldn't hold back he jabbed, “Did you do something with your hair?”
The implication was obvious, Kehieleth was insulted by having to live within the form of a shinigami. After all to him hollows were everything and to seek shinigami power like an Arrancar did was weakness to him, so having to rely on that body to survive was the ultimate insult. Still compared to the previous sarcasm Death had displayed his tone did not seem nearly as serious when he spoke to Kehieleth, the same could be said of when they had spoken in Hueco Mundo. It was like he didn't really intend to anger the hollow like was often his intent with other individuals. Maybe it was simply the age, maybe her thought Kehieleth was old enough to catch on, or maybe he just had no real reason to edge him on.
To his observation Death added, “Yes, I've seen much battle, enough to become numb to it. But it's still been quite some time since a true spirit battle took place, much less a war...which is what the Shinigami will no doubt create upon their arrival.” This was easily the most information he had let slip past while Sojukin was present, though it still wasn't nearly enough to gauge his motives.
He turned to Kehieleth once again and this time he spoke with a serious tone, suggesting whatever he had to say was worth listening to, “I suspect he shall come along with the Commander General, but I've no intention of protecting you just because you aren't to full strength yet. He shouldn't react strongly, he is restrained enough to not come at you just because of your existence...but if he does you are still not capable of fighting him as you are now, and my attentions will be elsewhere. So you may stay and proceed as you wish, but you have been warned.”
And it seemed that was all he had to say, once again a moment of silence hung between the four individuals, all four of whom lived in very difference worlds and operated via very different desires.

Sagara had proceeded to the Sixth Division headquarters right after the meeting. A sigh escaped his lips as he walked into the headquarters. Doubt hung heavily in his heart as his hand moved across the gate of the entrance. So much had changed, so much was still going to change.. More lives would soon be lost, and Sixth division was already on the verge of collapsing. As he walked into the main courtyard he saw that already the shingami of Sixth Division where ready to go. Granted only a few of them would actually be deploying, and even so all of them where under fourth seat. Eighth seat, Karuto Inzunku, had been killed in the explosion; the top three seats had also been killed. “The Arrancar have appeared in Tokyo, as well as the presumed leader of the Horror Vacui. Sixth division is being pared up with Fifth and Eleventh Divisions. Because of the nature of our opponents I am only going to be taking our top six. The rest of you will be on standby. Also, Vice Captain Kuatura will be in command of the combined divisions. The rest of you will be put on standby..”
He let out a long sigh before slowly looking each one of his soldiers in the eyes. “We have suffered heavy losses at the hands of the Arrancar and the Horror Vacui. We have lost our leaders, our comrades, our friends.. But today! Today we avenge their deaths! Today we will kill those arrancar bastards and end the life of the leader of the Horror Vacui!” Sagara said as a few people clapped, sure it wasn’t the greatest speech, but it was the best he could come up with. Several of the lower ranking members came forward with platters of cups filled with sake. Two of them had matches on them. The platters with matches where placed above a small memorial that honored all of the dead members of Sixth Division. Sagara, as well as everyone else took a cup from the platter. The troops let out a small battle cry before they all downed the sake.
Sagara slowly picked up the matches and said. “And a drink for those who are no longer with us..” And with that he lit the two dozen drinks on fire. He took a step back and bowed at the memorial, as the rest of the division fallowed suit. “Lets go kill these bastards!” He said before walking towards the gate, the six members of Sixth Division fallowing right behind him as the others went about preparing themselves, heading out later on.
As the small group arrived at Third Division’s Senkaimon Sagara saluted Kuatura. “Vice Captain Kuatura, Sixth Division is ready to go. Our standby troops will be here momentarily as well in the even they are needed, but this is our combat squad..” Sagara had a hint of distastes in his voice, he wasn’t to fond of Kuatura, but he remained professional. He was in charge now, so he had to show his respect, on top of that he was two seats above him.. In front of all these men the chain of command needed to be kept. If Sagara couldn’t follow his orders, how where his men expected to? And with that mentality Sagara waited for the operation to begin.

A gasp escaped the lips of the injured Kensei as he slowly pulled himself up. He could feel the battle going on outside, and the one inside. He was in no condition to render aid to anyone, but he wanted to see how things where progressing. He looked out of a stained glass window, barely able to make anything out. But then he heard it, a voice deeper then the ocean, and louder then any human could make. The voice sent chills down his spine as he realized what it had to be. A hollow, and from the words, Ash’s hollow. A monster beyond fathoming, and it quickly threw in its own words. He grinned as their forces quickly decimated the hollows, and victory was soon to be in their grasps.
However he gulped a bit as the hollows went for Ash, not out of fear of her being injured, but out of anticipation. This marked the first time he head seen her Shinkai. Damn this window, he could hardly see it.. Well. That window wasn’t about to become a problem. He felt a sudden build up of riatsu, he turned around as quickly as he could, his eyes reflecting the hot fire that was burning threw Cathedral. Kensei raised his arms as the force of the blast sent him flying threw the stained glass. The shards of Jesus glass stuck into his back as he was blown threw them and it was blown out by the explosion. The shards landed all around him as he was sent into the middle of the street, his arms burned even worse then before.. Damn this really wasn’t his night..

Takahashi grinned as Daniel finished off the last hollow. He studied his arm cannon and couldn’t help but feel a bit gitty. He had designed the first prototype of Daniel’s arm, granted he was so obsessed with making it blow bigger holes in things and forgot about the other parts of cybernetics that the project was taken off his hands. “I designed the first prototype for your arm cannon. I must say the team that took care of you did a pretty good job.”
However, Daniel complemented his cannon! He could tell he was going to like this guy, after all they where kindred spirits when it came to things that went boom. “Ah yes. I have been working on making a more portable version, the cannon just isn’t practical for off site use. But I guess this proves if nothing else it has a future in the defense industry.” He was about to continue right before the voice of the president was there. His voice was obviously masked, and given enough time Vance was sure he could unmask it if he could get his hands on the audio tape.. Hm, that would make for a fun afternoon, finding out the president’s identity.
He grinned mischievously before realizing that there was still a battle to be won. “Oi. Whats your name?” He asked Daniel as he tapped him on the arm. “Also, we should be heading out, a lot of teams where getting overrun, the president should be able to handle anything that they throw his way. And we could defiantly use the escort.” He said before starting to walk down the hallway, the battle operative squad fallowing him. ‘Also, when this is all said and done, wanna stop by my lab? I might be able to upgrade all of your systems. Make you even stronger.”
