Christopher sat back with his fingers crossed and listened with an utter lack of caring sprawled across his face. Even when she started making averse comments about him he remained unreadable, though there was the distinct feeling that she was just digging her own grave. About half-way through her oh so witty speech something struck her none-to-gently on the back of the skull, not quite enough to knock her out but more than enough to giver her a bit of brain spin. As she twisted about and almost fell backward she got a look at the man who had, had a pistol on her this whole time (and had apparently just smacked her with it) before she finally caught her balance again. A tall brown-haired lad perpetually in his late-teens though with an aged demeanor, he didn't have the markings of a vampire so that made him something else, but what exactly he didn't visibly telegraph.
He spoke to her, “Play nice now. Perhaps you've yet to realize your position?”
Almost as soon as he said this someone came from behind Lina and wrapped their arm around her left side immobilizing it, then another arm was extended with a large combat blade pushed right up under her neck. Miranda's face came around to sit on her shoulder and glare at her. Before she had hardly seemed dangerous in the least, now given her facial expression and the force she was exerting it was blatantly obvious she was every bit the vampire her blood bestowed. She whispered into Lina's ear, “I don't like it when people insult my little Christopher,” then she turned them both around to the boy forcing Lina to move by applying pressure with the blade, “Sir, shall I kill her now?” she asked him.
Try as he might Christopher couldn't hide the small grin plucking at the edges of his lips as he hastily put a hand in front of it and made a show of leaning on it via the chairs arm. However before he could say a word for better or worse Clemins approached him from behind and handed him the radio transceiver which he looked at curiously for a moment before putting it to his ear. Whatever was said to him caused his face to darken considerably and not in the mock fashion he had been giving Lina, if one looked hard enough they could almost see the wheels turning in his head as he returned the device to Clemins. Then there was a clear sign of relief as if the answer had occurred to him, and dangerously enough he was looking at Lina as he did it.
After letting her enjoy her spot for a bit longer he finally spoke, “Release her Miranda, I've an idea.” As soon as he said this Lina was released though whether she caught herself or fell to the ground was up to her own agility.
His eyes searched over her as if he was considering how to best make use of the new resource presented before he concluded, “I'd be a fool to trust you, but a real enemy would hardly be so careless and ineffective.” Couldn't let it go without a return jab it seemed, “As such while I'm certainly not putting you to work anywhere near my people I do have something you could do to prove yourself, barring that perhaps something can be worked out, Hellsing has recruited through stranger means before. I've just received word that the Vatican is here,” as soon as he said this there was stirring from almost everyone in the room, “So you find this agent, or agents, and eliminate them for me and I'll see what I can do for you; perhaps.”
The man behind Lina spoke, “Should we not try to reach the Vatican first before attempting to fight them?”
Christophers eyes left Lina for the first time, “One already attacked Evelyn, he is well known amongst the Vatican as an agent of Hellsing, if they attacked him then they've no intention of being peaceful...though what they hope to gain here I've no idea at current.”
He looked back down at Lina before reaching over to Clemins and motioning to his belt, Clemins produced a large pistol like the one most of those present had. He quickly turned the safety on before ejecting the bullet in the chamber and the clip which he thumbed the casing back into, then he slid both on the ground so they wound up in front of Lina. His motions had obviously been in case she was an enemy there was no possible way for her to get a shot off before someone in the tent put a hole in her.
“I wouldn't recommend shooting everything since you don't have much ammo, but should you run into a vampire this was especially made for their extermination. But hopefully you won't have to deal with them if you go only for the Vatican agents. If this sounds agreeable then you can take the weapon and go, if not I suggest you move along before we grow tired of pandering to you.”

Given Elizabeth had just gotten a bad wrap with the Hellsing guards for the better part of a year at least it hadn't been for naught. In the end her little distraction worked just long enough to get a hit in on her foe but after the initial blow things went downhill. The shot that had connected directly with his eye while causing some minor bleeding had in fact REPELLED off the actual eyeball instead of puncturing and the bullets that followed and hit his actual skin didn't even seem to have an effect as they poured off him like rain. After letting her have her fun for a few seconds the large vampire raised his Gatling gun and aimed it at her now in the open, though the lower half of his face was covered the twist in his wrinkles made the grin obvious. But just before he pulled the trigger a loud metallic 'DING' echoed out through the room and the vampire was given pause.
He turned his head about to look at the much smaller ninja that had inserted a blade into his back. Yet despite the fact that it had ripped straight through his armor like butter it seemed that just like the bullets it had been stopped dead by the vampires skin and no amount of exertion on Bob's part was pushing it through. Eventually he stopped and took several steps back as a momentary silence settled between them before Bob spoke first.
“Lord Lisovskii, I feared it might be you.”
The large man chuckled quietly, “Ah so you are with them now, I had heard stories. You've changed.”
Even through the mask you could feel Bob grimace, “And you've gotten older.”
Lisovskii cocked his head back and let out a loud 'Ha!' but at the same time drew his grenade launcher and pointed it right at Bob's chest. The ninja had no time to dodge even though he tried as the barrel was virtually touching him, the next moment he had disappeared after the explosion engulfed his chest and sent him flying. After watching for a time in which Bob did not return Lisovskii aimed the launcher in the opposite direction toward Elizabeth and the soldiers, then pulled the trigger. Only one of the Hellsing members was killed in the ensuing explosion but it did adequately cause chaos amongst them as they all went flying, trying to get away before the impact. By the time they had recovered from the attack and were at the hall again the large man was gone, and with him so too was any sign of Bob.

There wasn't much in the way of coherent answering to Kate. There was of course the one she had already cut into calling out but for the most part there was silence and the few who said anything weren't all that helpful. It wasn't so much that it appeared they didn't want to tell her and rather that they simply didn't know anything. Or at least a skilled observer would have seen this, whether she could pick up on it was something different all together. However she wouldn't get time to say much as one of the male vampires began laughing to himself before he called out to her.
“Sure, sure I'll tell you. We were hired, that's about all we know, was a crazy plan but we were promised a fortune. Go see a guy named Lisovskii, he's the only one who knows what it's all about...but then I figure he'll kill you. Of course there was one other condition we agreed to that these sad sacks don't know about, so maybe you'll see him, maybe not.”
He gave her a big grin as he gritted his teeth and one of them fractured from the stress, proving to be a false tooth. And then as the signal was transmitted everyone under that vampires direct command, in other words those surrounding, and the one under Kate all began to explode. Each one by itself would have been equal to a grenade, maybe two but with the combined payload along with the shrapnel made from their armor slinging about it became a single large payload that collapsed an entire 100 foot area of the arenas office areas. Would she live or not was quite a good question.
