Tohea Region
The Tohea region, one of the largest and most successful Pokémon region known around the world for its breakthroughs and peace. Many people came to this land for several reasons, anything from exclusive job opportunities to searching for rare Pokémon. The island itself was large enough to be considered a small continent rather than an island, as it was only slightly smaller than the Kanto region. It sported several varieties of Pokémon, the largest known collection of Pokémon variety on the planet.
However this was over 2000 years ago, right before the huge earthquake that tore through the island and split it right down the middle. Scientists have discovered that two volcanoes erupted at the exact same time several miles from the island. These two islands were position almost exactly opposite of each other compared to the island, and the resulting earthquake split the island straight down the middle leaving a small island in the center. The two halves experienced severe damage, resulting in both people and Pokémon death. Both survivors were about half the pervious population, causing a severe decrease in the island’s popularity. But as time moved on, the islands began to settle and a new government was formed.
Over time human nature begins to weave its way into everything, and the western island Amaer began to see itself as a separate nation. Relations began to slowly become more and more strained with the eastern island Tilinity, as Amaer began to try and force itself as being independent. Tilinity always wanted the islands to live peacefully, and Amaer becoming an independent region might cause future conflict. So it struggled to keep Amaer as a part of a single region, which put even more strain between the two islands. Finally after a hundred years of this, Amaer declared war on Tilinity in an effort to eliminate the threat to their freedom. Tilinity fought back with equal amount of force, causing the two islands to fight an unnecessary war. The war raged on for two hundred years, destroying what both islands built after the earthquake.
After realizing that the war could continue with no victor, a peace treaty was signed by both leaders of the islands. On the center island a truce city was built, a symbol of the treaty signed to end the war. It was named Tohea as a symbol of what the island once stood for as a whole. The two sides are still a little shaken from the war several hundred years ago, and the peace is fragile. But peace is what both sides strive for, even if it might cost another war.
Two islands, one region. Which do you choose? If war breaks out, where will you stand? Will you choose the powerful Amaer? Will you choose the peaceful Tilinity? Or will you stand in the middle, and decide where you belong?
