Shinigami
General Info Name: Saigotschuu Yun Gender: Male Age: Looks to be around mid-twenties, 1429 Division: Tenth Division – Outer Defense Rank: Captain Physical Description: Yun is the perfect example of a amazing looking guy who doesn’t try because he cares what other people thinks but because he cares about himself, thus he looks great but rarely notices if others care and this has turned a lot of potential romances off eventually. With slicked back jet black hair that is perfectly cut so that it equally dashing and yet just wild enough to give the appearance of one who does not sit behind a desk or pamper themselves all day, spiking slightly into the air. His sideburns run down to just below the middle of his ear. His eyes are a bright, almost blood red crimson that appears both kind and harsh at the same time, as if on the outside he’s sweet as candy but on the inside he’s staring right through your soul though this is just his complex persona coming across. His face is angular and like the rest of his body well tanned and defined, he keeps well groomed and never has excess facial hair. The face has a “long” look to it being that he is not oversized in anyway and meets in a pointed chin with a small but expressive mouth above; perhaps to show for his skill he has no cuts of any sort on his face or body. His body is neither awe inspiring nor poor, rather it is what you would expect of someone that stays active but doesn’t obsess about it. He comes in at just at six feet and 182lbs putting him just at the typical weight for his size. ((OOC: This is just his shinigami outfit and he does have casual outfits, when was the last time you had a single pair of clothes? Regardless if that’s the case they will be mentioned in that RP.))I like to go from bottom to top, so that’s how it will go. Yun does wear the typical shinigami outfit but has applied a few of his own touches including a jacket he wears over the usual upper robe. For starters he wears two, military class black boots. These boots are not of the clodhopper variety but rather hug his feet and legs, which they run up to just above the shin area. They are strung with black crisscross shoelace, which goes all the way to the top and are tied in a fine knot as to not catch. Each of the holes through which the lace is strung has a metal ring surrounding it but they are held in place by the boot leather so they make no noise when moving. The bottoms are a rubber plate with sharp rubber spikes to function as cleats; they have a slight heel in the back, which angle them forward a bit. Inside these boots the walling is lined with a fine cotton padding so that there is no wear on the feet if long distances need to be covered or from just general use of such hard bottomed boots, though it is of little importance since they can’t ever be seen I will still mention that the padding is white and has blue and purple leaf shapes on it. The front of the boots has been enlarged, not due to the natural shape but because they were originally steel toed boots which clinked when ran on, by applying a rubber padding it has stopped the noise but allowed the boots to still be quite painful when used offensively. He also wears socks, which are black in nature and are clipped with running grooves all the way down; they do not show much because of the pants but still do protrude about an inch over the bootstrap that holds the top tight. So yes, in this case he does not wear the normal shinigami outfit as he does not like wearing sandals on the job, it makes him feel as if he is constantly fighting how to walk…not to mention a hard boot upside the head never did anyone any harm…permanently…that was to bad. Moving up his legs I will mention the first layer which is unseen to the outside observer and then move to the upper layer. Several black bands are wrapped around each leg, a total of five on each that start five inches above where his sock starts and then proceed to skip in variations of about seven to eight inches up the leg. Alone they would serve no purpose but of course this is not the case, rather they serve as the base for a group of plates, a total of ten on each leg, back and front which though separate initially will plate together to make one almost organic entity in movement. These plates can block most casual forward or back attacks (such as a weak kido (demon art) or a shallow zanpaktou hit) though one coming from the side or one that simply got lucky in its trajectory might sink it, though one of the large bands might at least soften the blow, this armor would of course be nothing in the face of a truly powerful attack though, its more for safety again misfires and stupid mistakes than true battles. As most who wear metal directly on their skin do Yun has attached a foam like substance to each piece and then proceeds to place pre-folded cloth, much like that in his boots under each or else it would just get really freaking cold. These metal plates have no true distinguishing features except for the excellent craftsmanship that has put them together allowing them to work as one, rather they are just rounded pieces of plain looking metal. Over this Yun wears normal shinigami pants though he seems to have sewn several pockets around the waist. Oddly for someone who is unmotivated he takes his work appearance serious as despite the fact that get wrinkled five seconds later they have several long iron creases down them in a way like dress pants. Moving up to his torso, much like his legs this is in layers only this time we have three to go over; luckily you have probably already guessed the lowest layer. Yes the black straps are back and this time they hold a chest plate in place with equal amounts of padding underneath the whole thing. Unlike the legs this does not cover his back however as just the front is pretty heavy, weighing in at about ten pounds and though that does not sound like a lot, running constantly for hours when you already have armor on your legs and can carry a item collection large enough to supply an army can certainly make you rethink that. You may also notice that on his back the straps which hold the plate over his shoulders actually cross in an ‘X’ shape here, this is simply to hold the plate sturdy, nothing else. On top of this we find a typical black t-shirt, nothing all that special about it for it is a single color and texture. However it is short-sleeved, has a midrange collar to it and is tucked into his pants However very little of this is actually seen due to his large robe which covers most of his shirt and pants due to its length. It should normally cover all of ones features though but at current it is open in the front and has several stitched on pockets that should not be there (The robe is over the normal shinigami top which can be seen from the front). This robe now bears more in common with a cape-jacket than the assassins coat it seems to have been created from for its sleeves have been sewn so that they stop at the wrist and no longer cover the hands and the hood has been removed, I call it a cape for that’s exactly what it appears, the lowest part half-circling the users body and it is longest in the back. As is obvious the robe is the dominant feature of the man usually and has various interesting odds and ends. The collar appears to have had a dark crimson red color sewn in and the same can be said for both of the hand-cuffs which each have a long crimson red stripe going along the upper side of the sleeves all the way to the collar. His Zanpaktou lays underneath the robe on his left side and overall the outfit gives the appearance of somebody who is ready to war any day of the week. Many people have asked why he wears the robe and his response to the question is always “No matter how we may change, who we may become or what we may do we must never forget our past, where we came from…what made us who we are today through a complex series of events. Through our remembrance of these events and the constant reminder of their doing we can avoid or meet head on circumstances which we have experienced before with seasoned fervor not possible if we allow ourselves to forget.” Two long white strands of silk fall from his shoulders and trail behind him as he walks about, they bear the black symbol of tenth squad and seem to be strands from a captains robe, red silk is sewn to the underside of these pieces of fabric. Personality: Yun is two people in one body, or so you could say, he still harbors some of his dark humor and cunning from him human life but a lot of his “killer” traits have been replaced with a more serene version of his persona, regardless it occasionally seeps through. Intelligent, calm and… lazy are the words that sum Yun up best for he rarely ever angers but does find everything rather boring. He does tend to flash between respectful and being rather sarcastic (but never angry in a casual situation at least) at the flip of a dime. He is a double-edged sword when it comes to doing his job, he hates leading and never wants to do anything but once he has started he is always serious about work and has no patience for those who get in his way or do not act with the drive that he does when reaching for an objective. It should be mentioned that this does not mean he does not have compassion for his followers simply that it annoys him if they can’t keep up. In battle Yun is hard to read, he never seems to get angry but inside he gets steamed at his opponents very quickly which can be seen visually as he becomes wilder in his attacking style as the battle continues, ironically if the battle reaches the point where he must release his zanpaktou he becomes obscenely calm almost instantly as if he knows that he must stay stable to be effective with his deadly but very difficult to use ability. He is cold and hard and will kill anybody his job demands but he has also learned to appreciate life and has no desire to kill more than necessary. Still life taught him how and while not obsessed with death as his old leader in life was he has no problems with it. Much of what Yun happens to be thinking is a mystery and likewise the extent of his knowledge and power is up in the air but the unconvincing shrug he puts on anytime someone questions him suggest he knows and is capable of more than he ever lets on and it is quite obvious he is more intelligent than he ever lets show, not only has he on more than one occasion developed battle plans that involve complex strategies and calculations but he also seems to know a bit of everything. Whenever anybody ask him where he gets all his information he replies simply “I’m a shadow.” of course those close to him know this is his way of telling someone that he’s just blatantly not going to tell you, however to those who don’t know it can sound amusing. Yun does not desire power even though power has found him but because of this the bonds he forms with others are a little more permanent since he does not seek to ever succeed anyone else (of course he has but in this case he has no desire to succeed his fellow captains), simply himself. He plays a bit of opposites though, he is very quiet and rarely speaks when at work but at the same time when he does speak, even in the middle of a battle he seems very jovial and not at all absorbed in his work, as if he is capable of running multiple thought paths at once. There is an interesting facet of all of this being that he never seems to be angry or even mildly annoyed but more just disappointed in whatever has happened…of course if something bad happened to one of the people he has become friends with that might be another story. Contrary to what this might have you believing Yun is actually a diplomatic speaker when it comes to other shinigami and has a silver tongue when it comes to women oddly enough considering he had no intentions of drawing them in, often times garnering himself a small following until they find out he’s not half as interesting as he looks. He does not drink but still finds gambling, sports and duels to be infinitely entertaining activities. He has a great love for types of coffee, jewels, coffee, electronics, coffee, money, coffee, cats and coffee. Despite his clean nature in public he has no issues with being an orderly individual alone, completely content to sleep in a complete dump though being on the job all day only to come home dead tired may add to this fact; overall you will notice his personality is not as anal as many of the shinigami he works with. Yun carries a little green book with him which he writes his thoughts down in, these range from reminders on what certain people like to his own thoughts on what he likes and more philosophical thoughts. History: A cry could be heard rolling across the miles of countryside surrounding the Tsutake lands one of many clan territories in Japan over a thousand years ago. They emanated from a caravan heading to the central rural village away from the capitol, a new life had come into the world just a little to early to call the village its home. Yes Yun sure did make a grand and very loud entrance into the world. His parents were a young couple, kind and loving but also down on their luck for even after escaping some distress in whatever territory they came from they couldn’t land a job in the capitol and so had left, a young man who for all his knowledge in academics could not find a job and a barmaid who had been let go after she had become pregnant. Thus they were heading for the large village Tsutake for it had been said that despite their slum oriented structure they still required plenty of civilians to run businesses and so perhaps there was a life for them there. Of course it was during the wet months and a series of setbacks resulted in Yun being born on the road, regardless they were close and pulled into town not long after the birth. Unfortunately Yun’s father Shinji would soon find that things were not going to change and his knowledge in math and physics was as useless to him here as it had been in the capitol, his wife Nema would find a job serving drinks as she had before but it was in no way enough to provide for the family. Thus do we begin down Yun’s early years that were ruled by the lifestyle his family was unfortunate enough to fall into, to this day he remembers his parents with love but considers his memories with a bittersweet lens. For the most part his early years were uninteresting as are most children’s but a few moments bare mention. For starters his father never did find a job, they were able to buy a cheap hovel off his mothers wages but never truly provide for themselves. Even day-to-day survival was only made possible by stale bread and defused ale, living in a house that could fall at any moment and never having luxuries. Regardless his father did what he could, teaching his son all of the things he knew though this often devolved into frustration for his son was much to young to understand most of it, yet he was the only one whom his father could divulge his knowledge to. Equally his mother loved him but she had to work all day and into the late evening to even begin making enough to buy anything beyond the bare necessities, for they did want to provide for their child they just couldn’t. At this time neither of them were thinking of the religious communities that were set up even in this village. In fact Yun’s parents wanted to get out of this village that was progressing closer and closer to annihilation thanks to the poor economy but they simply lacked the funds. Thus it was at this time that Shinji used a massive sum to purchase a bow, a weapon he thought fitting for a young man he had been teaching heavy math to for it was a thinking mans weapon. This lead to a long shouting match that became all to common a sight in the later years for the young Yun who some time after in life would find many of the surrounding neighbors remembered vividly for years as “That young couple who was always yelling at the top of their lungs” and pissed off quite a few. Regardless Shinji won out over Nema claiming that if they were going to be stuck here they might as well try to get their son accepted into the religious practices which if nothing else took good care of their members since they would never be able to push him into a decent profession otherwise unless they just sold him off to work under another. Nema did not like the idea of her son becoming a religious zealot who warred for some fake god but much preferred it to throwing him to the highest bidder. Thus on the summer of his fifth birthday did Shinji begin teaching the boy how to use ranged weapons, most of them filthy leftovers discarded by real warriors. This did not go so well, for the boy himself was rather large since his parents had given every scrap they could get their hands on to him and was in no way trained, to top it off his father was no fighter and did not know the most basic of skills and was a terrible archer to boot, the one weapon he had thought might separate his son from the pack. Regardless they worked long and hard, and though any outside person, especially a trained warrior could have seen the futility in it all it did bring them closer and would infuse Yun with the drive he would latter develop to a fine point. For it was the summer, in the late afternoon that the first disaster in his life struck. He had gone out that day with his father to the market to buy food with some of the excess money they had made that month, due to this his mother had been coming home earlier as of late and the last time he saw her she had been preparing dinner. They returned home and Brady had told Yun to head out to the makeshift firing range they had set up in the back of the house and they would go a round and see who could come out on top. The next thing he knew his father had arrived and taken him away to where the local “law” enforcement HQ was centered, he would stay there that night while his father was taken away for questioning. They returned home the next day and his father told him to pack his things, this they did and they then moved out of the house and on to the street. Yun never could understand where his mother went but anytime he asked his father the man grew agitated until he would finally just tell the boy to shut up and so the boy grew hard to the subject himself, perhaps that and somewhere deep inside he had always understood his mothers position. He would find out many years later after he had joined the Nation what the whole story had been, his mother had not actually had her salary increased, she had been dealing opium with a large crime syndicate to make money on the side and had fallen into debt with them, so one day she had come home and promptly hung herself. Ironically the only thing that saved the boy and his father from the syndicate coming and collecting them as debt was the economy which they at one point had wanted to leave behind as its main members were killed during the infighting that occurred as many of the crime syndicates fought over what was left of the wealth in this country. His father became a changed man after the incident for the obvious reasons (and the less so, like the fact that he knew the syndicate would come to claim the debt and unlike Yun would come to know in the future he would never know that they would be killed). He stopped training his son though Yun would continue on without his help for he now had a dream and wanted to become a warrior, Brady also became violent and loved to spend whatever money he could scrounge together on alcohol. During this period Yun picked up a job as a local delivery boy and it was perhaps this time itself, which actually prepared him for his future, he was no longer pampered and quickly lost his weight becoming thinner by the day, his job also began to shape him physically but most of all, though he had never thought the world a wonderful place, he like many protected children had still seen it through a honey glaze and now that was lifted. Life was hard and every bit of money he brought home from his job was hounded by his father into more drinks and more anger, and though he never took it out physically on Yun for that was not the kind of man he was he did yell quite often and tell him that he should just give up because he was useless and his dream was crap. At the time Yun had silently taken it but hated him for it, later he realized the trouble his father had been going through and would forgive him for it in his mind at least. This continued on and on for over a year till he was seven, all the while he trained with his weapons and despite no formal training he had developed his own understanding concerning them, he was already exceptional with the bow though he fired completely different from the general style and was well crafted in the blade even if he still had many exploitable forms. He and his father had been huddled under an abandoned store front along the market street for ages now, they simply hid their things in a nearby alley during the day and nobody could say they were hurting anything. Thus Yun left for his job one day, he had to admit it could be much worse off for he could be one of those children being worked to death in the fabric or weapons industries that were becoming so productive thanks to the economy. By comparison his job was almost rainbows and kittens, the pay was not bad either and when Yun left later that evening, three weeks from his birthday he decided he would go spend it on some good food at the local grocery as his way of saying happy birthday to himself, may fathers wrath come as it may he thought. So leaving the deli many hours later and plenty satisfied he proceeded home to tell his father, whom he knew would be drunk beyond belief, how a vicious gang of criminals had stolen his money on the way home, he even thought about telling him they said they were going to be taking his money on a daily basis now for he knew his father who became more lethargic with every day would do nothing about it. So did the second event to shape Yun life take place and this time it would send him down the path of a outcast warrior. Looking back at it now he was a fool for not noticing the signs, jaundice, itching, fatigue, confusion, it was all so blatantly obvious but perhaps a mixture of the child’s age and the fact that his father had been this way since his mothers “disappearance” had added to it, but still Yun beat himself up over it for years to come because as a boy who had lost one parent already you’d think he would have been more careful. After all it was not as if he hated his father, on the contrary even in his constantly drunken state, even when he was yelling at him, he still loved him because he realized that his father had tried so hard when he was younger. For he came home to his little hole in the wall, still happy as could be only to find his father leaning over the edge of the vacant stores counter. At first he just sighed because he thought his father had passed out and he was off the hook, then he noticed that his father was bending over in a puddle of his own throw-up and appeared to have soiled himself. At this the boy ran over to him and began shaking him vigorously but there was no response, he tried taking his pulse like he had seen so many medics do to patients in the neighborhood clinic but he had no practice and had no idea what he was really looking for. He began to call for help and try to move his father, hoping that he had just become unbelievably drunk and was passed out beyond belief but that’s when his father just dropped straight to the ground without a twitch on his part and his vacant eyes cast upward into the clear night sky. In the following days there was little fanfare over his fathers death, just another dead homeless man, just because he had a kid they did confirm that he had indeed died from liver failure and moreover acute renal failure as a complication over the years of drinking but other than that he was thrown in a bag and disappeared, likely burned like most of the homeless dead bodies in those days in one giant pit. Such was the way for the inglorious dead, but this was what set Yun off, though they had been kind enough to make these inquiries into his death for the kid they still had nowhere to put him and just threw him back on the street telling him to see if he could work something out with his employer. He would have none of that though, he returned to the shop and pulled away the loose board where he had hidden his weaponry in case of thieves, took the few arrows and rusty old blades he had and the next morning when the first priest at the temple showed up he was waiting on the doorstep.

Of course things can never be so simple; Yun just was not what they were looking for. Not only was he older than most of the students but classes would not start over for several months, he had no formal weapons training, he had no family ties, he was the son of a known drunk (and useless) man even if he was now dead, he may have been in shape but he was still scrawny by warrior standards in that his muscles had not been developed with purpose but rather through use but the biggest offense was that the events in his life had made him fiercely independent and thoughtful, a trait not welcome in a religious community of which he knew little of the gods anyhow. So did Yun find himself out on the very same doorstep he had entered with so much power in his will, however one would not turn down this young man so easily, he returned day after day trying to show off for the leaders there, but they never accepted him. He never gave up though, how could he? There was no place else for the young man to go but to try and push himself through. After a while he took on his job again as he began to starve but after it ended he returned to the chapel everyday, finally classes began and to nobody but Yuns surprise he was not accepted, he had believed all his efforts would get him accepted but there would be no such luck and the day training started for the warriors of the gods Yun left the village. He would spend the next few years of his life until he was twelve as a freelance mercenary learning a lot more than a simple bow though he became quite a master of it, as first he did small jobs but he was already getting a name for himself as a child prodigy of the blade before he was even a teenager after slaying a gang of criminals. The temple had now attempted to recruit him several times but in a reverse of power he had denied himself to them those times and gone off down his own path. Then one day, after a ferocious battle he met him…the Nation, Yun had appeared dead after receiving a hit to the head and the deposed being who sucked souls had been going from body to body, he had just started on Yun when the boy shot forward and placed a blade straight through the being. Of course the Nation leader…a human with abnormal blood based powers in all his grotesque glory simply shrugged it off and backed away, he was amused however that this boy was not dead nor was he frightened by his image. Yun was never tricked into believing the leader of the Nation was good, he knew full well it was an evil and pathetic being but it also had power, and it also had money and a spot for him in a mercenary guild that was slowly growing called the Nation. Of course you would be better to call it an assassins guild but nobody acknowledges this fact and beast or human Yun was going to do anything for money as his days had become rather desperate and so his initiation mission began…the mission that also proved his viciousness and landed him a spot next to the Nations leader who was known as the “Blood God” as the nation grew. A local clan leader by the name of Kumara Hanaka had murdered his father and taken over the clan name, from there he had renounced ties with his home land and was planning on taking critical family knowledge and moreover the knowledge of the inner workings of the government to a foreign power. This of course could not be allowed to occur and the Nation had been signed to take care of the threat, Yun had been signed to take care of the threat. Thus this was his first mission and of course in the eyes of those in the Nation, a test of whether he was really any good. So he left the HQ that day with a small packet of info in one hand and a chill running up his spine, almost the last bit of fear Yun would ever feel for that night he would face a challenge, he would stand up to it, he would reap death on the field of battle and once that was done he would never fear again. He would know his own limits, realize he was human, but the fear was gone, the rush at the idea of meeting his doom remained yes but never the childish fear of the abyss. He stood in a tree, in the very courtyard of the Kumara estate and overlooking the situation below. He had sat a silent gargoyle for quite a while as he had awaited the sun to go down and then even more so for those inside to go to sleep, observing the movements of the guards and figuring out just how he was going to get in, now he just about had it figured out. Two guards stood in front of the main door, two in front of the gate he was already on the inside of and two walked the yard, occasionally checking the back alley. It was clear they expected someone to attack from the active look, despite the low number of men they were in no way unprepared for they were all awake and alert, ready for trouble. Regardless Yun saw his way, the tree he was in caused a shadow along the ground all the way to the wall of the house, for despite their alert status they had not lit the courtyard very well and except for two torches on the gate and two on the door there was little in the way of light, especially with the inside dark now. By this time Yun was already at the wall and it did not even take any skill on his part to enter for a small acrobatic jump ended with him on the roof, he turned and found his target, a quite unguarded window but just as he was about to use his tools to pry it open a sound echoed from below. He looked to find several guards entering the main gate and as if everything was against him a light from inside the very window he stood in front came in outlining him perfectly, he got ground level quickly and made a rapid dash for a nearby bush and laid low. It had been a little late though for not moments later several men were in the area staring up at the window, they were silent for a moment but then began to talk, it was clear only one had seen anything and the others were doubting it wasn’t just his eyes playing tricks on him. However one was coming dangerously close to his position yet he could do nothing for if they located him he would be terribly outnumbered and would have to retreat. Luckily it seemed they were about ready to leave and head back to whatever they had initially come for when it happened, the man looked straight at Yun, there was no recognition for almost a full minutes time and then as if the features just popped out at him he yelled at the top of his lungs and pointed at the bush. His yell was soon replaced by a sickening gurgle as a dagger was plunged into his throat for Yun had been but feet away however he could do nothing now as everyone was aware of his position, he made like a mad man as he ran, jumped and through sheer luck (and the fact that all of the guards appeared to be horribly slow) escaped the area. However Yun certainly felt anger at this point for he had failed his mission after so much experience, he was also angry for he had felt fear when the men had found him and he had more skill than to allow such a thing to hurt him. There was a long time where he just thought about what to do, he had always prepared himself for having to kill someone but this wasn’t just going to be someone, this was going to be at least a couple dozen people and then someone. He questioned how he had got here, if there wasn’t more to life, if this was really what he wanted to do and then when that was completed and he had thought everything through quite clearly he drew his bow and walked slowly back toward the complex, for he feared no longer, it was time to war. The complex was lit up like a new years party now, torches and lanterns placed everywhere and every light in the house turned on, not only this but at least ten men now stood guard outside. Yun had read the reports and most were lowly mercenaries, however the clan leader was a well trained warrior at this point though he did not wonder how he was going to kill someone who should be stronger than himself, he was committed and was not going to lose, afterwards he would wonder just how he had been so straightforward and showed no care in his actions but perhaps this is what fueled him to be so effective, a fuel he would feed off quite often in the future. The first two dropped like flies, they had not even known what hit them as they sunk to the ground, arrows in both of their skulls. A series of shouts rung out into the night and the men hid best they could, certain they were being attacked by a large enemy, little did they know their hiding did little good in Yun trained eyes and that a solitary devil assassin came for them. Another series of arrows had pummeled the ground around them though none had been outright killed this time; one had taken a hit to the leg and was promptly put down when Yun spotted an opportunity. At this point two of his fellow soldiers had grown angry and charged straightforward now realizing just about where he was in the trees surrounding the complex, surprisingly Yun did not take them down as they charged and seeing this the rest of the men grew confident and charged forward. When they arrived at the tree line they found their two comrades dead, chopped to ribbons with a blade from what eerily resembled an animal attack as if the assailant had moved in and out taking quick strikes rather than just putting them down. They looked about for a moment but upon finding nothing began to move their friends back into the light, a single cloth object now dropped from one of the men’s hands and but a moment later the entire area was engulfed in flames, already at the entrance to the complex a figure walked in as the gates exploded as well and a fire slowly engulfed the entire wooden fence, resulting in nothing but ashes by morning time, simply a defense while he completed the job set off by the most basic bombs which were becoming big in the ancient world. He was put to the test the moment he opened the door for many assailants awaited him inside. A series of weapons had launched at him which he had easily dodged and a flurry of weapons came from his end, impaling several men with rather oversized daggers and finishing off the last with a swift wave blade blow to the neck. At this point he never slowed down to even think for if he moved it would all be done and there would be no chance backup could arrive. He cut through several more halls and was surprised by the low skill level of most of the opponents, he had thought he would have to endure some pain but almost all his enemies fell from his exceedingly accurate attacks which he always used when he would bash through the next door. As he closed in on the back of the complex he dropped several more explosives and when they went off they insured nobody would be escaping or entering through the front, as well as burning out anybody who might have been hiding in wait. He bashed through the last door and stopped dead in his tracks, now in the master bedroom he found a single man who he recognized as the target holding a young woman against him at knifepoint as a hostage. Through their talk it was obvious she was his wife and he was using her as a hostage as he threatened to take her life if Yun did not back off, he was sickened by this man, not that he was worried about the woman’s life but such a cowardly act was despicable, and this was supposed to be a warrior of the church a man of higher strength than him?!! As the man fell with three daggers placed in his forehead and the woman dropped to the ground sobbing he could only imagine he was given the title because he was an aristocrat and the clan lands had wanted his support. He had broken the thin wall down and was just about to leave when the woman had finally looked at him and asked who he was; he had thought about this and then responded, “I am the shadow of death.” Why did he say this? Well because it sounded cool of course. As he walked off into the night he thought about what he had said and while tossing the few blood soaked weapons to the side, for he always used new weapons and not used, he thought to himself “Man, maybe I am just a kid to say something so stupid.” This event brought Yun into the Nation but he quickly found himself disposed of with as just another mercenary as despite his skill, throwing hundreds of weaker members at a target was effective but better it was cheaper. Soon though a new group called the Gatesaka was birthed a rival assassin guild and seemingly one of greater skill as many men out in the field began to fall. Shortly after this event much of the black ops was redefined, typical and black ops members of the nation were often combined and few one-man teams, especially of Yuns “inexperience” were allowed to continue. He found himself combined with others, none of which he was particularly fond of. He had fewer places in this group than the others and it would not be for many years, until he left the Nation that he would truly befriend anyone. They tackled many dangerous missions but he never bonded with them and he had less use than the rest since he was much younger and they usually gave him menial task. All of these missions were painfully easy even for those doing the real work and even more so for Yun who just had to sit back, watch and occasionally pop a hole in an enemy who got a little to close for comfort, he occasionally got his own specific missions from the leader who ordered him to scout out enemies, set up traps or steal something of significance but it would be forever before Yun truly fought like a demon as he had that night he became part of the Nation. There were some interesting people on this team; particularly the girl Kisei and a demon of an assassin named Tsukimono had always caught his eye. The girl because she was strong, and well lets face it, assassin or not he was still a guy and Tsukimono for he was always exceedingly powerful and he always fought as Yun had that one night, a devil in disguise. Of course Tsukimono was always more violent about it where Yun had fought with efficiency but it mattered little, the fact that he could do this and always had massive amounts of power to back it up always intrigued him for he knew he could never fight as the man did. Yun never became very close with any of them as mentioned though a few of them did with each other, however as if sensing that Yun was more than the quiet member who never did anything as he seemed Tsukimono never seemed agitated when Yun began calling him Shodai his first name, which many might consider disrespectful of a superior. Then one day a particular mission arose, a few people, he looked at them just as people now and not for what they were, that personalized things, were to be killed. However halfway through the mission things were changed and the hit was called off, admitted Yun would never have killed the man after this for he was not excessively violent in that manner, however Tsukimono did. There was a time where this whole matter was considered for a day or two and Yun thought about it constantly and why this man had done this and left everything behind for he had run shortly after as a mark had been put on his head, he surely had a great future ahead of him. Then it hit him like a train, because he was doing what he wanted to do and not just following orders. Yun may not have shared in his great lust for killing but he could certainly respect the man for doing as he wished and not as he was told, on this note Yun wondered what he happened to be doing and how he was doing nothing he wanted, surely this “Nation” had given him much in the way of training and the like but from the beginning they had doubted him and not even wanted to accept him into their ranks. He thought about how his father and mother had always wanted to leave Tsutake but couldn’t, how his father had been treated like nothing in life and in death, how he had not done anything but follow the tune of some imaginary musician since the day he became an assassin, they had molded him into what he was even if he had chosen the starting path and he became deeply angry and finally he was called like the rest of the Nation to a great meeting. As Yun had predicted, though his thoughts had not really been on such matters for long, Tsukimono knew far too much of the deeper secrets concerning the Nation to just let go and now documents had been discovered in his living quarters, he was a Gatesaka agent, he became an immediate priority of all the black ops teams. As they set up in a field, pulling their ranks together Yun could not help but realize a few Nation members were already missing, one day and one night, already a few had left, was the power of one man who had been naught but a fledging master truly so great? Then the answer hit him all at once, of course it was, just as Yun had been thinking so had many others including Kisei who never did show up during that meeting and all at once his mind was set. They left that day and they quickly set out toward Komasaka country under Yuns suggestion, he might not have been their greatest asset but as quiet as he was it was still agreed that he was an excellent strategist and probably had reason behind what he said. They traveled for many days doing nothing particular but then they began to hear word that Tsukimono had been spotted crossing into the ocean from Komasaka, the only thing that laid in that direction were random countries and more importantly the shadow lands, much as Yun had theorized. He gave it a bit of thought when his fellow black ops members had gone to sleep that night and he was on guard, however he knew he had already come to the right conclusion and come the next morning when it was time to move out they would not find Yun anywhere in the general area, they would not find him for many more months. He followed Tsukimonos steps almost perfectly, at first crossing the ocean and arriving in the shadow lands, then walking about the countryside for a long time, living on the streets and stealing what he wanted not because he feared being found like Tsukimono did but simply because he had always lived that way. Then one day he found him on a quaint little dirt road connecting two small towns, he was uncertain how he would react especially since it was a well known fact that Yun was an assassin but it seemed that the man realized something was going on here for had that been his task Yun would have struck from afar and not come to meet him. There was some talk between the two and Yun explained the situation back in the Nation to the man and before the hour was through they were walking together, almost talking like friends, Yun was the first of the Tsukimonos closest assassins for he was to open a new branch of the Gatesaka guild here on the far side of Japan. Within a months time several other Nation members had shown up, most to be killed but to his great surprise the members of his previous team had come to join the man just as he had, so again Yun had been right, this man certainly had an effect on those around him. To some extent or another they had all begun to prod the man on into making a place for all Gatesaka to gather, Yun was a realist and at times doubted that it would really work but he also knew that if anybody could do it, it was this man who had a legend to tell. By the next month the last of the group Kisei had arrived and she found a village building up from nothing into something grand. Like many of the villages in the shadow lands it began as but a small grouping of people but after a while it became clear that something big was happening here as more and more previous loners that answered to the Gatesaka command came to join in, or to attempt a take over. This of course helped just as much for with every attempt on their lives that bandit squads made and failed at the stories about them grew and so did their entourage. For a while it remained this way but with the ever growing population and the fact that soon they would become a huge target for all of the hidden guilds and perhaps even Gatesaka which was no longer showing favor to Tsukimono for his brash behavior, so a plan was devised, they to would become hidden faction of their own and not just harbor old Gatesuka members but train them just like any other. Yun was the one who came up with a wicked first test and turned the entrance of the village into a literal minefield, for though he had some help most of the traps were of his own deviation and they have taken many lives now. However more important was the official creation of the Counselor 5 and the labeling of the High Commander for then stories really began to fly about these people, it was at this time that Tsukimono took to truly training the five members and that Yun first took to his job as a sort of guardian. Even as the fourth “strongest” member of the five he received hands-on training. Finally under this man he was given jobs that truly tested his skills and put him in danger. This lasted for many years and eventually the Hakumei an official clan under their leader had destroyed almost all other assassin clans including the Nation, the Gatesaka was the last. But alas everyone must die at some point and for Yun that was near the end of the Gatesaka eradication when he made a foolish mistake. The story of that night would begin with a burning village: Smoke rose into the night sky blotting out what had previously been a starry night, accented by a full moon; at times it showed its milk white face to the world but then would sneak back behind its smoggy blanket. Screams filled the air, all-coming from the source of the smoke, a small village in the outskirts of Hakumei land. It seemed that a large force of Gatesaka had assembled and already killed everyone who was residing in this village; the Counselor 5 could not let this continue though, not for those people killed for if they could not stand strong then they deserved death but rather because it was an affront to their power. Thus the source of the raging fires became evident, surely the work of one of the five members, however these strikes were on the outside moving in, and this specific event took place in the very center courtyard of the village which had been walled in much like a stone and wooden fortress. A man stood in the center, he wore a large golden plate across his chest, which was apparently to mark him as the leader, but right now he appeared like anything but one as his head darted in every direction and a face of fear spread out across him. “WHO ARE YOU?!!!” (OOC: I’m Batman… ) The man yelled into the night but there was no response except for the screams of more men, surely his own coming from outside the walls. A single arrow came in but this man was not just an average assassin and even in his fear still managed to dodge the brunt of the attack though it still sunk into his hip and he let out a cry. A flurry of arrows impacted the spot at this sign of weakness but he managed to regain his constitution and flipped backwards. Removing the arrow he brought his hands to bear and began making signs but a dagger aimed directly for his hands seemed to come out of the blackness naught inches from his hands and again he just barely dodged. His eyes now caught the faint flicker of movement as a solitary figure circled him over and over, though it was but a black phantom in the darkness and he pulled out a large katana to run directly into striking range when he spotted an opportunity and the figure was clearly visible for a moment. A dagger slammed into his back all the way through and he stood still for a moment, the katana dropped from his hand. That’s when a tall man rounded him on his right and brushed his shoulder, this man did not have a face but a white visage of death for a mask covering him. There was a silence where the man just stared and then a deep, but rather neutral and almost bordering on kind though clearly sarcastic voice emanated from within. “For an assassin of the Gatesaka of such reputation to fall for such a trick…for shame…”

Yun walked past the dieing assassin as he attempted to remove the blade from his back to no avail. The robed figure stared back at the target for a few moments before it reached up to its mask and removed it, underneath lay a rather uncaring and bored looking face, Yun reached up to his nose and scratched it while letting out a sigh. A moment later a flame ran up the southern wall lighting the area just a bit and he cocked his head for a moment before realizing what had happened. A tall man that looked identical to the one laying on the ground was watching Yun from upon the high wall and surrounding him were countless archers, the man had said one thing “But you see, I didn’t” and a barrage of arrows had pummeled the area, and Yun had died. It may have comforted him a bit that his brethren got revenge just later that night killing all who had finished him as well as the fact that being like a son to him after so many years Tsukimono had come to his death place and honored him but eventually nobody came and Yun who by this time understood was left sitting in the circular walled fortress where no life would blossom for decades. For Yun feared he had failed his task and wanted to fix it, thus he was chained to this spot, but maybe it was a blessing in disguise for had he gone straight to Soul Society without meeting Emi-san he likely never would have changed and ended up dead. You see Emi-san was a soul much like Yun who to was tied to this world though her spirit chains were much longer and she could wander all about the land though she would never admit she was still connected to the world. She had wandered into Yuns place of bondage one day and being the curious and talkative type she was she stopped to see him. Emi-san knew a lot for someone who was still bound to the Earth, she knew of shinigami of which she had apparently escaped a soul burial thanks to the timely appearance of a hollow, what she described as a evil soul and she also told him that he would turn into one if he didn’t let go of his ties to the living world. Emi-san stayed with him for many weeks talking the whole time and Yun didn’t seem to care one way or another, perhaps the months he had already been there had finally worn on him and he was willing to have any company but then Emi-san spoke these last words and Yun became frightened since the first time he was a child. It never occurred to him that her words had sunk in but his death compiled on to that had him believing fully in these hollow things and he did not want to become one and so for the first time he spoke to her. From that day forward they were friends and Yun seemed to be changing, he had not met anyone of Emi-sans energetic persona in his entire life and as they moved from topics of spiritual energy to just being human Emi began to teach Yun things he had lacked his whole life, what it was to have friends, to have compassion, to be sincere, to love…to not kill. This continued miraculously for almost three months, three months Yun will never forget…before the hollow appeared.
It was early one morning and both spirits were lying on the ground staring at the sky and pointing at clouds for no reason other than utter boredom. That’s when it came, a vicious dog like Hollow, and Yun knew that’s what it was thanks to Emis stories. They had both risen to their feet when it had appeared on a high wall and as it ran for them Yun had pushed Emi away and told her to run since he knew he was bound to the spot but she could get away. The Hollow however was surprisingly agile and had leaped over them and landed on their other side, Emi had run at it and tried to attack but the Hollow had, had no trouble pushing her to the ground and consuming her before Yun could do a thing. In a fit of rage Yun had run toward the Hollow and just when he had reached the end of his spirit chain having forsaken all other though at the moment they simply snapped and a moment later Yun had propelled himself through the air and landed a kick to the side of the Hollows mask, he hadn’t actually expected it to do anything but in his rage he wasn’t thinking, surprisingly though if brought out by pure emotion or something else a blue circle of force had landed on the Hollows cheek cracking it and sending it flying across the clearing. Yun had begun to run toward it again but just as he was bearing down a brilliant flash had covered the area and when it cleared two men in black outfits with long swords had been standing in its place. Yun stood still expecting an attack but surprisingly they talked and one of the men proceeded toward him.
“Oi, oi sorry about that but a Hollow can only be purified by a zanpaktou so couldn’t let you have your win.” He had smiled at Yun who seemed to be frozen he shook he hand back and forth as he approached “Yaaaaaa though man, you broke your chains and had the power to kick a hollows ass, your going to be something else as a shinigami I bet, when you get there I hope you join 11th squad!”
The shinigami, that’s what he was, planted the end of his zanpaktou on Yun’s forehead at that point and the rest of what happened was a blur, Yun felt like he was moving but at the same time going nowhere and before he could even comprehend what was going on he found himself thrown out into a green field just outside of what looked like a traditional village, he knew immediately where he was as Emi had spoke of it for months, Soul Society. Yun didn’t really think about what had happened with the Hollow, he had never had a friend before and now she was gone, so he would rather think about what was at hand and walked toward the village. When he had arrived nothing special had happened, in fact it looked like little more than a regular village but he quickly noticed everyone seemed to be giving him glances and it finally occurred to him why when he spotted three shinigami, because his clothes were just as black as theirs though shaped differently. He had approached the shinigami only to see that they had a girl and what appeared to be her boyfriend cornered, a girl that looked very much like Emi and with the thought of Emi-sans death only hours behind him he did not have much patience for the situation though it might have been lucky that he found it.
“Ehhhh boy what did you say about me?”
“NOTHING I SAID NOTHING!!!!”
The shinigami had laughed and turned to his companions “He says he said nothing, now did it sound like nothing to you two?”
“Na sounded more like “I need my wimpy ass a beating” to me.”
“Ya that’s what I thought to…”
The shinigami had turned back to the couple but Yun had, had enough and approached.
“That’s enough!”
The shinigami had spun around and spoke “Oh well excuse me great sh…wait a moment your no shinigami…”
“From the looks of it neither are you since it is a shinigamis plot to protect souls.”
“What did you say to me!!!?”
Yun had not responded to this and that set the shinigami off as he had charged Yun and drawn his zanpaktou, he was a clumsy beast though and Yun had dodged much faster sword strikes in the real world…his newly awakened soul energy reserve probably helped to. He moved to the side, grabbed the man by the wrist and spun him removing his zanpaktou in the process, the fact that Yun was able to hold it probably meant the man had not had a strong connection with it if he had spoken with it at all. Aiming it at the other two shinigami they had charged and Yun had taken them out just as easily, they were lucky they were souls for the cuts he had made would have killed a human but they lived to fight another day, though they did not get up to fight. He did not leave the spot though and shortly after the couple had thanked him and run off a task force of around seven shinigami had appeared, this time he did not sense the same malice he had from the three that lay a short ways from him and so when they requested he had followed and returned the zanpaktou. At first it seemed he was in a lot of trouble but when it was discovered he had only just arrived in Soul Society things took another direction, since he couldn’t very well know the shinigami (he did but they couldn’t know) were in charge and accounts did say the three had been acting like thugs it suddenly put Yuns actions in a new light and especially highlighted the fact that he had taken down three trained shinigami of the Gotei 13’s 11th Division (this was when Yun decided he would never let himself be in 11th division) with his bare hands and without trying. When this news spread through the ranks he was suggested for the shinigami academy which he took, Yun couldn’t imagine leading a sedentary life style like those he had seen outside, not after his months with Emi. So his training began and as the warrior he was in life and the morals he had learned from Emi in death he became exceedingly effective, in particular he made strong soul bonds and powerful demon arts, his speed also translated well and he was one of the only academy students in its long history to learn shunpo before leaving. In his sixth year he received his own Zanpaktou and before the end had already spoke with it, unlike many Yuns transition is well documented and known by most of his squad since another loud mouth shinigami was there to talk all about it:
That day had not been kind to Yun and his partner Imisu who had been called to investigate a strange occurrence in the real world as sixth year applicants who tagged along with full fledged shinigami. Nobody else had been available during the nighttime hours the previous night and though Yun had almost left the job up to Imisu he had decided to come after hearing that the hollow causing a good deal of trouble was emitting strange reiatsu signature, normally a full shinigami would have fought it but they happened to be in the area. It had been a good thing he had come as well for Imisu would have been consumed long ago had he not been there, after arriving they had quickly found a hollow that seemed suspiciously like one of the powerful hollow that had been popping up lately which was capable of masking its reiatsu and melding with objects, Yun even reserved as he was then was still young and foolish enough to think he could take it alone. It had not attacked directly, instead leading them on a wild goose chase around the city seeming to have no desire to fight before completing is mission, however the appearance of a wilder, but still more intelligent than the norm, hollow had thrown off that idea as it tried to escape for the eighth time today which had quickly given way to night over the long hours. Seemingly angered by the other hollows actions at some event prior the wraith like arrancar and the rest of the group had gotten into a three-way battle. Yun was beginning to regret it though, neither of these hollows were weak, especially the wraith and Imisu was inexperienced and quickly becoming a reliability. At just this moment the two hollows are fighting amongst themselves and Imisu has been caught under the large wolf hollow as they spiral downward, inadvertently putting him seconds from death:
It seemed the battle was getting out of hand and the two hollows were making quite a fuss because even if Yun was not paying close attention he could feel hollow all over the city, most the instinctive animalistic kind locking on to the fight, however most seemed to be frightened by the level of reiatsu going off and none came. From below the wolf hollow Imisu let out a cry of pain but he quickly stifled it trying to use this opportunity to drive his zanpaktou as far as he could into his attacker who though in pain itself was doing his best to drive its claws into Imisu as they plummeted to the ground. Imisu was surely done for with two hollows falling on top of him but he had a few more seconds before that came. Meanwhile the wraith had latched on top of the wolf and now had all six of its claws drawn, pulled them as far back as they could go and started stabbing the wolf as hard as it could, its smaller size made the damage minimal but some of the strikes managed to penetrate.
A voice called from above just before Imisu was crushed “SORRY IMISU!!!” a red shot of energy shot past both the wraith and the wolf and caught Imisu in the shoulder, he yelped but he was also sent hurtling quicker than the wolf was to the ground and landed split seconds before able to roll out of the way just in time though still yelping at his burned shoulder. The wolf hit the ground and roared something but the wraith despite wanting to kill the other hollow was preoccupied as it tried to unlatch from its current “host”. It was too late though as a roar was heard from above and anyone with a moderate sense of soul energy could feel the massive amount of reiatsu Yun was pulling into his rather small but seemingly powerful blade from above.
Imisu finally pulled himself up and stared to watch that last few seconds as the clouds pulled out of the way to show Yun, encased in moonlight with his zanpaktou held high, falling straight for the two hollows. He yelled, Imisu had never seen a battle like this and was afraid for Yun but Yun showed no doubt, his resolve was strong. A sort of roar encased the two hollow as the mass of reiatsu descended on top of them, the wraith managed to flip over and extended its claws unable to get away in time, one of which pierced Yuns chest but to no avail as the blade pierced through the shroud surrounding the wraith straight into the it’s chest and through to the wolfs though a much shallower but still forceful stab was made.
The wraith howled in pain for several seconds at the trio slammed into the ground, the wolf collapsing to it’s feet from the sheer force and the wraith like a squashed bug on top. A plume of dirt and smoke shot into the air with the tell-tell sign of a reiatsu explosion, green energy, flying everywhere as well. Yun glowed for several more seconds and then hopped off several meters holding his wound. After lying on top of the wolf for nearly ten seconds the wraith pushed off and lunged, landing on the ground in front of Yun. As luck had it the wolf was facing Imisu and the wraith was of course facing Yun, all of them were sporting serious wounds and though the hollows didn’t make as visually obvious cues to their pain they were feeling it, the wraiths cloud hid the wound but it was too leaking soul energy. Behind the wraith Yun’s attack had been so forceful it had caused a massive crater in the ground, also due in part to the larger hollows mass.
The wolf Staggered to its feet. At this time white hollow soul energy emanated from its mask…hidden healing powers activating instantly when it was hit though there was still a lot of blood on the ground. It had still taken a lot of damage to repair though as smoke poured out fiercely from the gaping chunk of it’s missing abdomen from the sword strike. As it staggered to get a good look around its eyes could only focus on the shinigami in front of him, Imisu. The shinigami was bleeding fairly badly, the wolf had injured him without a doubt but, to what extent was still unclear. The hollow was clearly intelligent, waiting for the shinigami in front of him too glimpse away or flinch because of his wounds. Patiently it waited studying it’s prey. Then without warning the chances came. Imisu clutched his shoulder would and blinked for a second and with Yun preoccupied with the wraith there was nothing to be done. It was enough for the wolf to go after. It charged up from the white mist caused by its healing factor and slammed its claw at Imisu. Imisu noticed but it was already to late to fully dodge so he jumped backwards to lessen the blow. The wolf connected with enough power to send him flying this time.
Imisu yelped as he was hit headlong and thrown threw the air like a rag doll, everything going black for several moments. When he woke for a split second he had already stopped moving and was laying hundreds of feet from the battle, the large wolf like hollow had really walloped him and he collapsed shortly. Back across the field the wolf watched as Yun and the wraith faced each other apparently uninterested in following Imisu with its injuries, Yun was breathing in sharp gasp from the puncture wound and the wraith shuddered once as it to had suffered serious injuries despite appearances. However Yun did not seem in a hurry to commence just yet and did not take the first opening as he himself had been hit hard twice by the large hollow and had a puncture in him from his folly during the large strike.
The wraith had waited to long and finally made a fatal mistake nobody could pass up with its attention behind it, glancing at the wolf which is apparently expected to attack, now it only had a split-second before Yun was on it, rocketing at full force despite his injury. Sliding out of the way at the last moment Yuns blade glanced where the wraiths mask had just been with such force that a slight wind kicked up and had the wraith been there it likely would have been killed on the spot. Both shinigami and hollow seemed to slide by each other in slow motion and over the next few seconds they met, Yun with his zanpaktou and the hollow with two black menacing crescent blades exchanging shallow but incredibly fast blows that were likely stretching both beings to their spiritual limit after the damage each had taken. However two times Yun would get lucky as his slid clear through the wraiths “shoulder” on each side though no vital organs were hit, white smoke that shown clearly in the moonlight went seeping out each time but the wraith was not one to give up so easily.
Back on the other side of the field Imisus body shuddered and he slowly flipped on to his back and raised his hand to his forehead. Staring up in to space he removed his hand to see blood but as if he were in a momentary shock he simply sat staring, then as if reality hit him like a brick wall his eyes grew large and he gasped. Plunging his zanpaktou into the ground he grunted as he righted himself, the clashing of swords could be heard and he spun around expecting to find the wolf only to see how far he had been thrown. He roared and was just about to charge across the field despite being no more than a single blow from death when Yun let out a loud penetrating voice not at all like he had in the past or fitting of his usual self.
“IMISU! WE ARE DONE; THIS IS A FIGHT WE CANNOT WIN!!! OPEN THE WORLD PENETRATING GATE!!!”
The wraith immediately turned around, ignoring Yun for a moment to look at Imisu. He was far away but it apparently knew it had to get to him, if the gate was allowed to open and they told of what was happening here who knew what sort of trouble would plague the wraiths goal, Yun knew this to. The wraith eyeing the wolf and Yun at the same time began to speak to the other hollow as Imisu tried to yell at Yun.
“NO YUN!!! WE CANT JUST GIVE UP!!!”
“NOW IMISU!!!”
Meanwhile the two hollows exchanged words…
“Hmph, so be it you bastard hollow, if they open the gate there will be more trouble than either of us can handle…lets say we trust each other for five seconds and get the large one…I suppose death can be avoided no longer. It will take the shinigami longer to arrive if we kill them than if they return for help…stay out of my way or help.”
However the other hollow simply sniffed and began to walk off not wanting to help a hollow that attacked it, its thoughts were obviously simpler. However the wraith apparently didn’t care if it got help or not, with great speed the wraith took off toward the Imisu, all six arms were out and it actually seemed to be crawling on all of them like some for of bug going much faster than it traveled when inside an object. But a soft voice echoed from behind…
“Oouruzan-boukon, Meishi (All seeing soul, Clear Vision)”
No sooner had the words been uttered than Yun was in front of the wraith in mid-air, a harsh blow hit it in the chest and it went flying back, almost hitting the retreating hollow in the process. Meanwhile Yun landed gently several yards in front of the two hollows and threw his right hand up, in it rested a much smaller zanpaktou than he had carried before almost like a plain silver short sword but the big change occurred before their eyes. He raised his hand to his face and much like a hollows mask dissolving his sunglasses dissipated into the air but instantly spirit particles rearranged and a long red visor took its place, each side was secured to his head by what appeared to be metal earmuffs of some sort.
“You can no longer win by speed alone Hollow and you tread on eggshells in the face of the all seeing soul…but I shall not risk my subordinates life this day so stand their silently and we shall return with your doom a hundred fold.”
“Yun…when did you…?” Imisu near gasped but was corrected quickly when Yun looked at him sternly before turning his attention back to the hollows. The wraith had righted itself and had no intentions of staying put despite its dwindling soul energy, it had a feeling about this Yun character and sure enough it caught it several moments later when he flinched a moment. He was very durable, he was hard to put down but he was also brand new to his blade and was putting all his energy into keeping the shikai active so that its reiatsu stayed threateningly potent hoping he could keep the hollows still long enough but the wraith slid into the ground and darted for Yun who if one paid attention was no longer searching aimlessly like when the hollow had done so before but watching exactly where the wraith was, even though it was hidden from most peoples sight both physically and spiritually underground.
“Come demon…”
From behind a large yell was heard from Imisu.
“SENKAIMON!!!!” the large man thrust his zanpaktou into the air and the tip of it disappeared, he began to turn it like a key and a light started to appear.
Watching the wraith about to explode from the ground with perfect senses “Just a moment longer…” Yun commented to himself.
Far behind Yun the door was opening, Imisu was obviously having trouble opening it quickly due to his injuries but it would not be long now but then it stopped. Imisu began to grunt and for a moment the door actually began to close again but he couldn’t have that, with one great howl all of Imisus reiatsu released into his zanpaktou and a bright blue flame shot upwards. The door began to open again but Imisus life force seemed to be draining rapidly…he had used all his spirit energy and was now actually using bits of himself to power the gate.
Yun scowled, he wanted to go help but there was little he could do…it was hard enough to hold the shikai stable; he would need all the concentration in the world to kill the hollow with it. That was exactly when the wraith popped up behind Yun without saying a word, but it did not catch the man off guard who swung around in a massive defensive loop and summoned what energy he had left aiming for a very specific point on the wriath. His black hair flailed madly from its usual calm as a blast of reiastsu overtook him and he yelled at the top of his lungs, everything passed in slow motion as he brought the blade up at the wraith having ejected from the ground came down with a like blade.
The last thing that was heard was a yell from both combatants.
A massive explosion of reiatsu kicked into the air and formed a sphere over the two, a sphere of green and white that rolled for nearly ten seconds. Then the casing ruptured and exiting in a great shockwave from where Yun had angled his blade all of the energy rippled outwards. It took a long time for the smoke to clear though labored breathing could be heard emanating from within, a ways away the border gates were lifting out of the ground but Imisu was little more than a hollow shell after putting all his energy into lifting the entrance. It sounded as if a wing or blade sliced through the air back within the smoky barrier and then a jet of energy cleared the place out to expose what had happened where the wraith and Yun had met…Yun was hefted off the ground with a great black sword through his chest (and his own sword on the ground which had reverted to its previous self and was broken in half), lifted up to the arrancar who was floating in the air and had its mask right in the mans face. A long extended arm showed that it had used its reiatsu to clear the area out so it could look the man in the face when talking, Yun looked on the verge of passing out but he was still watching the wraith, his visor cracked and disappeared all together as they stared in silence. Finally the wraiths mask split just barely, a tiny slit that exposed to feminine eyes and it spoke:

“A unique ability indeed and a deadly one…but you were foolish to use it when you had so little training with it, you could barely hold it stable as was, what did you hope to achieve in battle with it? Did you think me weak shinigami? Well I suppose it is true I do not have the raw power other arrancar do but what I lack in strength I make up for in cunning shinigami, in my understanding of the world, an understanding of which no other hollow or arrancar of my kind I have found who can share that concept of intelligence.” Yun continued to hang limp, but perhaps he heard something in the wraiths words that gave him comfort, or perhaps he was not afraid of dieing, or maybe he was just in shock and couldn’t think straight, but he did not seem frightened or angry at all. “Shinigami…no Yun (OOC: clearly pulling the name from Imisu yelling it earlier), your power is the perfect ability to kill one such as myself…but you can also not hide it from me. You see your ability is the polar opposite of mine, and thus just like a pair of kin may share a bond over something they have in common, a rival may sense that which may bring them harm…yes you have the power to undo me and you were smart to try and hold it out and surprise me, but again you were not smart to use it at all if you knew not how to control it. You put up a good fight Yun, and for that I hope you become something truly special in the world of Hueco Mundo but now that you threaten to unravel my works here and I have no other way to stop you I must kill you and move my plans up in speed a notch.” Five more spindly black blades exited the wraiths cloudy body and its mask still exposed this time looked down a bit but its eyes were set dead center on Yun. The blades drew back as far as they could and a clicking could be heard behind the mask. “GOOD BYE SHINIGAMI YUN!!!” A massive green flash shot skyward and a hollow roared, the piercing volume suggested the wraith in pain. Footsteps were heard and finally the blinding light gone the wraith lurched forward, three of its long blade like arms had been cut at their ends and were seeping white soul energy but it didn’t seem to care at the moment as it turned about and watched Yun rush toward the gate. In his hands were the two broken pieces of his blade and the sharp point was still flaking white hollow “blood”, he had called his sword to him. The wraith could do little as Yun grasped Imisus shell and pushed through the gate full speed with it closing inches behind him and stood hovering in the middle of the clearing, its arms still gushing white energy. After a long time it let out a growl, not a high pitched scream like before but a simple angry growl as it stared at the point where Yun had escaped. On the other side Yun exploded out into soul society and though he became dizzy quite often he didn’t let himself faint again, watching over Imisu until fourth squad got on the scene and then retreating for healing himself. Later several hunting squads were sent through to the city and many hollow were destroyed including the wolf…the wraith however was never found and to this day Yun claims he will find it and put an end to what was started as it was the first and only time he suffered complete defeat. This event did seal him a spot in the Gotei 13 and eventual recognition though. Upon graduation he was suggested for the gotei 13, particularly the 2nd squad since he had such enormous speed and there he stayed for about 50 years. However he never had interest in being an assassin anymore and never got along with his teammate and his captain despised him eventually ending with him sent to the Toxin Squad where they learned about toxins and made new counter agents and more dangerous poisons for second squad to use but after a…ahem…incident here his captain finally traded him off. At first they considered him for transfer to 11th division but he put a request in not to be thanks to his involvement with them before and the Commander General not devoid of emotion assigned him to the 10th Division instead. This is the Division Yun has been in for hundreds of years, so long in fact that he has seen almost the entire squad be replaced countless times and eventually became the captain. He was not particularly happy about this appointment but could not very well tell the Commander General no and so has dealt with the job as best he can. Additional Info: Yun likes girls with silver hair...there, I said it . Zanpakuto GeneralName: Oouruzan-boukon (All Seeing Soul) Spirit Description: Oouruzan-boukon is really a single power crafted by three counselors working together, depending on the form it is in these three counselors work together to greater and greater extents. These three counselors are always speaking to Yun unlike some zanpaktou due to their strong bond which has formed over hundreds of years and giving him advice as well as requesting things of him and in general just talking like friends, these counselors govern Yun’s destiny, these counselors are his power, these counselors…are kittens. Yes I said kittens, to be more precise they are a black kitten with gold eyes, a striped tabby with green eyes and a calico with blue eyes, they embody the evil, neutral and good aspects within every man though that does not mean they fit those labels exactly. They do not have normal names but instead are referred to as Chaos Kitten, Peace Kitten and Tranquility Kitten respectively. When they appear each is on a pedestal though they can get off and walk around, Chaos kitten rest on a silver pedestal, Peace Kitten rest on a bronze pedestal and Tranquility Kitten on a copper one. Functioning a little like the devil and angel on your shoulder with an added advisor for the heck of keeping things balanced each one examines a current situation and gives there opinion to Yun. As mentioned this does not mean they follow their title though, for instance Chaos Kitten is very cynical and dark but his suggestions are not always evil, occasionally they could even be considered the right choice. The same goes for the female Peace Kitten (called so because she “keeps the peace” between the other two) who symbolizes neutrality and often offers the choice that forsakes morals instead for the statistically advantaged choice and Tranquility Kitten who symbolizes the good and “light” within men but whose choices, though often for good reasons can lead to pain due to the naïve glass which he looks through. Yun does not have to listen to any of their choices and can easily make his own, he can even block them out if he so wishes though this is rarely done but for the most part he often listens to Peace Kitten who offers the most realistic view of a situation. The kittens change when in battle, when using the sealed form of the blade they remain mostly the same, still giving orders. However when shikai is activated all three burn with fire completely enveloping their normal forms, Chaos with red, Peace with green and Tranquility with purple, no matter which form his blade is in Yun’s reiatsu takes on the color of the kittens flame whose path he is currently following. If Yun chooses to follow his own path his reiatsu is a normal blue color like other shinigamis reiatsu. Then there is bankai, when Yun activates bankai all three of the kittens burn with a bright white fire and as they are usually surrounding him even though nobody else can see them they shoot skyward and disappear for a split second. Ironically their transformation during bankai is flashier than Yun’s though nobody sees it, when they meet in the sky a bright explosion goes off and a fireball hurtles back to earth and stops inches from the ground. A golden pedestal rises from the ground and as the glow disappears from being painfully bright a small, newborn kitten younger than any of the other three is in their place. This kitten is known as the Golden Kitten and is the final result of mixing all three of the counselor’s powers, it talks to Yun in a simple, plain, but deep telepathic language only his mind can decipher and gives him unerring sight and advice. Sealed: Yun like many powerful shinigami can control the size of his blade and due to his fighting style and keeping his true strength a secret (though as a captain it is obviously higher). In its sealed form the Oouruzan-boukon appears to be nothing more than a typical 25cm tanto (dagger), it has a nice steel sheen and a typical wrap around the handle. A three pronged drill notches the blade to the handle and the whole weapon is completely straight. It is of course utilized like a dagger would be in a melee fight but Yun who is just as skilled without the blade as he is with it has been known to throw Oouruzan-boukon like a dart at an escaping enemy since he can call it back to himself, which due to his incredible friendship with the blade is easy to do. When it does sink in it tends to be more painful than a smaller ring throwing blade or dagger because it does not pierce lightly but rather drills all the way in and it’s shape makes it hard to pry out. Unbeknownst to many the sunglasses with small black lenses that often hang low on Yun’s nose is actually a soul creation of the Oouruzan-boukon but oddly it seems to have no powers in sealed form, however when taken into consideration that the Oouruzan-boukon is not only making a blade but also these glasses which are separate from the main blade you begin to grasp that Yun has more power than he lets on and that the Oouruzan-boukon is larger than it first appears. ShikaiActivation Phrase: “Oouruzan-boukon, Meishi (All Seeing Soul, Clear Vision)” Appearance: In shikai Oouruzan-boukon looks a lot like a mix between a short sword in its size and a wave blade (known as crescent blades) in shape. This weapon is roughly the size of your typical short sword at around 70cm, it is rounded and of a typical steel sheen like its sealed form. It has leather wraps around the hilt. The blade can be used much in the same manner as a sickle but is best used by plunging the angular and extremely pointed end at an enemy’s weak spot from an odd direction. The Oouruzan-boukon can be used in a direct battle in shikai but only for defense as it is not built to cause heavy damage when facing off; instead it relies on the other abilities Yun gains with its activation to become deadly. This is the first time we realize that his sunglasses are not just for show, much like soul energy flaking apart they disappear into nothingness and a red visor, looking very high tech, forms where they had been. This visor is comprised of a single straight red piece of what appears to be glass going across the eyes attached to two metal “earmuffs” that keep it attached to the head. Abilities: In Shikai Oouruzan-boukon has two very special abilities. Oouruzan-boukon (All Seeing Soul)The ability for which the blade gets its name and what makes Yun truly dangerous. The visor which he wears in this form is actually part of the blade and what turns a simple change of the blade into a deadly mix of speed and sight. With the visor Yun is capable of tracking any reiatsu signature no matter how faint or strong from any distance and he can tinker with his own reiatsu which he filters into the visor to select a precise group he wishes to track. The real danger is that the visor shows the paths through which reiatsu streams through an opponents body can easily be made out, utilizing speed and the odd angles at which the crescent version of the Oouruzan-boukon can be used with Yun can strike specific points to slowly cut off his opponents reiatsu flow until they have as much spiritual power as a typical human. These will eventually open back up but not until long after the battle, the real danger comes from the soul tag, just like any shinigami if this area is struck it can completely severe ones reiatsu abilities from their body and Yun’s visor allows him to see it perfectly…though hitting it can be difficult if the opponent is truly skilled. In shikai form he can use the small dagger guard he has to block attacks though its so small it can be dangerous but it helps immensely since it its shikai form there is no way to effectively attack directly. Setsuna Shunpo (Instant Flashstep)When shikai is activated a large portion of Yuns usually reserved energy is released into his body rather than his blade. This is for the simple purpose of speeding his flash step up nearly five times that of a normal shinigami and of course the reason for that is to tear an opponent apart. Where some would try to use the speed for pure power Yun uses it to get in with Oouruzan-boukon and cut off his opponent’s reiatsu flow rendering them useless. BankaiActivation Phrase: “BANKAI!” AppearanceOouruzan-boukon is a stunning contrast in its bankai form to its shikai form being an entirely different type of weapon and a beautiful one, the likes of which have never been seen. Being a needle saber, a weapon that is known for its extreme variety from user to user the Oouruzan-boukon cannot be easily compared to any other blade. However before getting into the attending features of the weapons I will first go through its visual appeal. The blade could certainly never be mistaken for a typical weapon and is obviously the perfected Oouruzan-boukon for its shape is perfect and its colors brilliant. Beginning at its hilt there is a golden wrap moving all the way up its hilt, which is of regular shape though it is obviously built for a left handed user and expands into a flat bottom where a single inconspicuous bolt keeps the three pieces of cloth stable, more on its use in a moment. However a black and crimson diamond style wrap is strung around so that the golden fabric stands out in varying from a cube shape, to a diamond shape and back again all the way up its length to the guard. Here each piece of fabric is fastened by a bolt to the metal so it never lets up slack messing up the design. The guard, a rarity when it comes to any sort of saber, even the needle is oval in shape and on each far end two thin, but long spikes jut out, obviously catch-guards. This entire piece of the weapon is encrusted in gold except for the interior of the spikes and the bottom of each catch-guard that exposes the silver-steel beneath since any use would immediately have ripped any gold coating off anyway. However this would still sound very plain but thanks to the crafting genius of Oouruzan-boukon there is a beautiful wispy engraving all over the metal and up the catch-guards that resemble grape vines and there are even a few leaves about it. At the bottom of each catch-guard is a silver bolt going through and presumably down insuring any hard jolt will not rip them off while looking aesthetically pleasing in the process. On the left side of the bottom of the blade there is an eye which is carefully engraved; this symbolizes the all seeing soul. This brings us to the blade itself and what might be the most standout feature of all; much like the rest of the weapon it is colored but done in elegant style. From the guard to the tip the weapon is about three feet; add another ten inches or so for the hilt. The blade is thick both in its breadth and depth despite its shorter blade size; the only real staple among needle saber but this blade reaches the top and curves a little. The blade appears to have three color layers along its side, the thinnest and innermost layer seems to be several layers of jet black paint, but then again it might be tempered steel of some sort for the color never comes off no matter what abuse it goes through. Then another gold layer, this is the thickest of the layers coming from the center black layer, outlining the whole blade and stopping just short of all the edges where a typical silver sheen pokes out. It can be assumed again that this is because putting any sort of color on the outer edges would be futile, coming off during but the first few strikes during a confrontation, however this look actually produces a little bit of the weapons flair (and yes I realize these are not normal weapons and you can argue the materials would not come off but I refuse to deny a bit of reality, bankai or no). The very tip of the weapon is painted crimson red, the same as that on the hilt and due to its location its doubtful any fighting could pull it off. Overall it is clear that unlike the shikai his bankai is made to fight directly while still performing the same function of his shikai if need be. The Bankai is built for more direct attacks than the Shikai but is still no match for a powerhouse zanpaktou in a straight fight so his speed and tactics come into play when he has to unleash his full power. Other changes are similar to shikai though to a greater extent. His guard (sheath) grows in length and if one were to look they would see his bankai could not actually fit into the guard and so it is obvious that it is for battle, not use which makes sense since Yun’s power relies on defending until he spots an opening. Secondly the red visor from his shikai form is replaced and this time he doesn’t go high-tech looking, in fact it is the exact opposite with a headband over his eyes, a deep crimson one which seems would be impossible for him to see through, the headband is tied in the back and drops about two feet of slack in the back. Yun’s bankai is about as impressive as a defective firework going off. His blade simply glazes over and changes shape, there are no impressive explosions…no nothing come to think of it. In fact a lot of people would probably think he was joking and laugh and laugh the first time they saw him yell out bankai and his transformation resulted…until he used it of course. After his blade transforms there is a short period where nothing happens then (as described before) when the Golden Kitten reappears it enters his body and he is filled with a sudden massive boost in reiatsu which is impossible to miss though it is still more controlled than most and a simple golden sheen covers his entire body reflecting all light, this barrier is of course difficult to break through but as the battle goes on this is the extremely dense reiatsu he siphons to use the amazing speed his abilities allow him, once this stored reiatsu is used his bankai deactivates…if it comes to that. Abilities Garyoutensei Hinouchidokoroganai Oouruzan-boukon (Final Faultless All Seeing Soul)In its bankai form the Oouruzan-boukon takes it one step further, capable of seeing all soul energy around it, even that energy which freely floats through the air. It also highlights prime locations of reiatsu in a opponents body as easily located markers to strike making it all the easier to take an enemy down. Garyoutensei Naihatsu Shunpo (Final Burst Flashstep)Must it be explained? Just as his shikai was devoted to striking an enemy down with quick dangerous hits so is his bankai the boost in reiatsu gives him a little boost. Naihatsu Shunpo is a move nobody that cannot see reiatsu waves and dips can perform, by following the currents that emanate everywhere Yun is able to “fly” on them like a bird on an air current. Using this ability he is able to move at speeds far over your typical captain. Shinigami Techniques OneName: Shakkahô (Shot of Red Fire) Number: 31 Incantation: Like many at his level who have trained extensively with a certain kido (see Byakuya using blue fire) Yun no longer requires the incantation to fire shakkahô. However for our purpouse here is the incantation still: Kunrinsha yo! Chiniku no kamen, banshô, habataki, hito no na o kansu mono yo! Shounetsu to sôran, umihedate sakamaki minami e to ho o susume yo! (Ye Lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, The sea barrier surges, March on to the south!) Effect: Fires a ball of red energy at a target that acts like fire and burns them. This is a typical demon art taught at the academy and while many use 33. Sôkatsui (blue fire) because of it’s higher power output Yun has always put his skill into this attack. Due in part to his training with ranged weapons in life Yun is exceptionally good at hitting a target at long range and so by using this attack he can pepper an opponent with a spray of several hot fire shots while minimizing time and energy spent on the endeavour. TwoName: Tenteikûra (Heavenly Rickshaws in Silken Air) Number: 77 Incantation: Kokubyaku no ami! Nijûni no kyôryô, rokujûroku no kantai. Ashiato, enrai, senpô, kaichi, yafuku, unkai, aoi tairetsu. Taien ni michite ten o hashire! (Black and white net. Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns and belts. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp peak, engulfing land, hidden in the night, sea of clouds, blue line. Form a circle and fly through the heavens.) Effect: Allows the user to send a message to anyone in Soul Society or in their general area via electric currents. While reciting the incantation the user draws figures on there other arm to spell out what they are trying to say and then the receiving end sees a portal open in front of them as letters form inside what appears to be a purple warp telling them what the user is saying. ThreeName: Kyômon (Mirror Door) Number: N/A (Though used in the anime there is no incantation and no mention of the number) Incantation: N/A Effect: The user can protect a downed ally using this move which creates a impenetrable barrier around them. Not only is the barrier hard to disperse from the outside but it hides everything within it so wherever the barrier is erected looks completely empty and at higher levels can even be used to mask the area to look as if something else is there (ex. hide a door to the room the barrier is around making it look like a solid wall). On the flip side the barrier can easily be dispersed from the inside by applying a small amount of reiatsu to the barrier wall. FourName: Rikujôkôrô (Six Rods Prison of Light) Number: 61 Incantation: Raimei no basha, itoguruma no kangeki, hikari mote kore o mutsu ni wakatsu. (Carriage of thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six.) Effect: A bind used by higher class shinigami in fast battle situations where a more complex bind cannot be used. The user must extend their pointer and middle finger and jab it into the opponent’s mid-section while reciting the incantation. If done properly six wide but thin pillars of light will arrive from multiple directions and impale the opponent in the abdomen. Though this does not appear to do permanent damage it seems to be quite painful and difficult to break even for someone as strong a Lieutenant (who many might argue was of low captain strength). FiveName: Sōren Sōkatsui (Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down) Number: 64 Incantation: Chiniku no kamen, banshi;, habataki, hito no na o kansu! Sôka no kabe ni sôren o kizamu, taika no fuchi o enten ni te matsu! (Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens.) Effect: A supped up version of art 33 that fires two blast of blue energy that can be exceedingly deadly in the hands of a powerful opponent. These can be fired consecutively in two quick burst from the same hand or fired in a “double fisted” manner with both hands extended toward the target to provide one attack with a massive radius that makes it extremely difficult to dodge. Depending on whether you fire it in a broad manner from an open hand, from the palm in a smaller but still broad manner or from your fingertips almost in the manner of a gun you can get more condensed (and thus easier to dodge) but more powerful blast. SixName: Shunpo (Flash Step) Number: None Incantation: None Effect: A movement method that allows a captain (or one capable of bankai) to move faster than the eye can follow. SevenName: Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin) Number: 90 Incantation: None Effect: Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe.

Additional Other Characters Torre - Tres EspadaRaizuki Seiani - Human Under CouncilRoleplay Sample: I was the one who opened one of the central RP topics in a “Gothic” RP once just so you know the context and understand why I wrote so much to myself. I was setting the situation up for others to join in.It makes me uncomfortable, looking back, analyzing my past actions and moreover questioning what those actions should translate to in the inescapable future that awaits me, the choice I must make. My actions, whether they be mistakes, of which sting I have felt many or the opposed a broad array of successes and this time to my great shame despite the rumors surrounding me I must say I have had a great deal less. You see I take to my own, caring for today’s complications for as has often been said if we inspect our lost years naught but an infinite spiral to our deaths rest there and if we long for the future we miss out on today, resulting in a ceaseless chase after a phantasm which we shall never catch.
But here in this place on the border of balance and chaos, as I stand upon an apex of mortal achievement and view an enkindled and blistering world laid out below me I can’t help but have my thoughts wander. At first my observation is one of macabre witticisms as I say to myself that this is a world that needs a hero, a savior…and then I thank the gods of fate, even if they have not seen to my wishes in the past, that I am not such a man. Reality strikes of course for this is my quarter, my place to stake claim to my existence in this institution I call home, this world teetering on the raggedy edge of destruction, that for once I war with a purpose other than experiencing death without limit for the sole reasoning of deaths own interest.
As the howl of the sin reverberates across the world and a shroud of dark gloom falls from the great mouth of the decayed one Pompeii realization comes to me. This day the victory must go to a simple hostage of this world, a hellion with a tentative stature among those who he must fight. This is the thing I must do but perhaps, once in my life before taking on my final charge an ultimatum that calls to me in the shrill tone of a foreboding ballad I might look back to the actions that lead me to this field of conflict.
The battlefield of Pandemonium.------------------------------------------------ A well-known voice spoke in the boy’s ear “I don’t like this job Little Master, it reeks of trouble.” Despite his words Little Master knew full well the tone that was spoken, his operator was just as excited as he was. The past months had not been kind to the Little Master – a name given to him long ago when his real one, over eighty characters long became an annoyance to speak in the human tongue. For you see, peaceful as his actions might have seemed to the untrained eye he was nothing but a warmonger underneath, one that had brought untold destruction to his homeland and was now outlawed for his crimes and cast into this mortal realm. So with the humans providing no entertainment, it was up to him to find a way to satisfy himself. But if there was one thing the Little Master was good at, it was finding things and so shortly after his arrival he had located an association, or a clique if you will, of other hellions cast out from all corners of the dark realms and all who were either there as game or to provide him the location of one who might be causing them trouble. He took these jobs with a special sort of glee for he was able to satiate his bloodlust and get items of value from those he worked for. Not just payment, for mortals were easily tricked and he long ago took over enough of their production to live quite comfortably in this world – no, what he received as payment was much more valuable to one of his presence, but that is not something to be spoken of so lightly and for now we are losing vision of our story. Yes our story, which starts in an old industrial sector of a human city which name is unimportant for our purposes, a story that takes place shortly before nightfall in a particular abandoned factory. One where a young figure, a child’s figure of no more than ten, with blond hair, blue eyes and the attire and stance of someone who takes himself seriously, even if you could not him. So did he speak in his English stress, and so shall our story take a more personal air for the following passages. “Ai, and what exactly are you suggesting?” he spoke calmly as if he were not worried to be in such an ominous locale as he pushed open a single metal door, it grinding along the floor as it shot a high pitched squeal that rebounded through the factory, a slow grind as the wall settled followed shortly after. “Well I am just not seeing the point-” he was cut off as Little Master tapped the earpiece. “Oh you are just as excited as me you accursed terrorist of the free world.” The comment was obviously meant in a coy fashion and also seemed to be a bit of the inside variety, requiring a tad of history about the man on the other end of the line. But that story does not come today and this man though he did seem to sigh made no other audible reference to the jest. “I do not lie that just as you I enjoy a good hunt Little Master, but you heard the client. It is only a single target and one that does not seem very strong to top it off and yet they are willing to put such an item up for prize? You cannot tell me it does not come as off to you, after all our Intel suggest this man is nothing but a simple lycan, he may not even be capable of cognitive thought he is so young.” He finally seemed to finish and the Little Master, never one to be outdone and not have the final say piped up. “I don’t care what the job is!” he held out his hand and got a wild gleam in his eyes “Killing lycans, killing humans, killing demons” he began to yell “killing ghost, killing animals, killing hellions like myself!!!” he seemed to be on the brink of joy, cackling under his breath “It matters not to me Zain, it matters not! It is not the award, it is not the danger it is death, it is killing, it is the destruction of all that face me, their death cries which I seek. That it might be a trap? A farce? All the better! It means more for me to kill.” He had now stopped in the center of what appeared to be a large smelting room and was ranting into his headset “It means more pain, more of everything I desire, do you not see I do not kill for the reward, I kill to say I looked death in the face and dealt death in return! Is this not why you join me Nosferatu?! Is this not why we dance in the pale moonlight as the claws of the Diablo spread out to capture our essence?! Answer me Demon! Answer me one who has accepted war into his heart! One who has accepted death and killing as the most basic of necessities, answer me now!!!” When he had finally finished he was smiling from ear to ear and holding his hands high above his head as he shook them a little. He paused for several moments waiting for a response but as it did not come his smile slowly left his face and he lowered both his hands, resting one at the comm in his ear. He spoke slowly and calmly but with something of disappointment in his voice. “Or do you follow for another reason child of darkness?” as he waited there was a long hiss of static and as his senses picked up just a little to late what had happened he cursed himself. The creaking of supports caused the entire facility to shudder and a moment more passed before a massive smelter swung across the room on a single chain catching the boy in the back and sending him flying across the room into the nearest wall. There was the immediate uproar of cries as many creatures, both worldly and otherwise laughed and made jovial. Several figures dashed down to inspect the destruction as a tall man with a spindly frame, pale skin and dark clothing including a hat that just barely hid his blood red eyes proceeded to the front. He surveyed the large hole in the wall for a moment and then turning to his comrades he spoke in a soft tone that should have been inaudible, but as if the wind carried it all could hear. “You see brothers, just one more over hyped hellion dealt with, and to think someone could be so full of themselves before death, how…amusing.” The tall man brought his hands together and an eerie grind spread across his lips but just as he was about to say something else the smile left his lips and he turned his head about. A quiet laughing came from the hole and a moment later some shifting could be heard from within as it turned into a full-blown cackle. Without warning a hand shot out and grasped the edge of the hole and began pulling a body out of the darkness after it, Little Master had his head pointed to the ground but after stepping over the boundary he turned to look up and his eyes were different, now glowing a bright honey color, he spoke an excited though raspy voice. “Oooo your fun, how fun, so many! Twenty maybe, oh yes, I think this shall do and I think it shall do nicely…and what is your name undead?” his question was clearly aimed at the death like man whom was twirling his shoulder length, wire like black hair between two long fingers. “I see no reason to inform the dead of my name, but for the purposes of what is to come here why don’t you call me the tall man.” Little Master cocked his head and a half smile now danced across him, his stature suggesting he was ready to strike. “Oh that suits me just fine tall man for I need not know the names of one I shall kill in but a moments time.” The tall man looked out the corner of his left eye before turning away letting out something of a chuckle and then stating in a dry, plain voice “Kill him.” It took no time for the creatures about him to descend, they were all in human form but some of them were quite obviously something else, practically bulging out of their seams and of course even then, not a one of them was mortal. Not a one of them stood a chance against the Little Master either, one had to wonder who they had thought they now fought when they first charged in with such bravery. As he simply flung his arms from one side to another with no attempt at skill, yet sending them flying into nearby walls or collapsing into heaps he wondered if they regretted what they were doing. He picked up the speed now and charged forward, to his great pleasure great fools still existed as those whom had not taken part in the initial attempt ran to stand in his way only to be bulldozed or cut to ribbons by his hands, which were now not but a flash as they picked up momentum. As the last man was sent flying over his targets shoulder the tall man turned to face him, still not looking all that worried and as he closed within a few feet a shining gleam hit Little Masters eyes. The sound of metal cutting flesh followed. Little Master stood staring up at the tall man who in turn looked right back at him, in his hands which were held flat he pushed down on the sword which the tall man had drawn from his jacket, blood slowly trickling from them to the floor. He got even closer to the man who was obviously trying to pull the sword away but the Little Master had it held quite firmly. “Its not them I want, you seem much more fun…” Little Master laughed and so was taken aback when the tall man raised his hand and a darkness overtook his vision for a moment, when he looked back up the tall man had landed a few meters from his and brought the sword to his side. The Little Master brought his hand to his head and let out a bit of a grunt before speaking “Bloody hell, an abyss sorcerer are you? How interesting. Now then, before I kill you might you tell me why our contractor betrayed us? It would be so much more fun to see him squirm before he dies…” The tall man just stared at him for a long time and then spoke “There was no contractor or job, it was all a set-up by us to kill you.” He pointed at Little Master with his free hand. “Oh really? Wonder what you could have got out of that.” He dusted his hands off, they had already stopped bleeding and then he shouted out in a higher voice “Oh well!” As his foot snapped so did the tall mans and they met each other mid-floor in a loud bang, Little Master easily meeting the blade with his hand. This time there would be no talking though as they immediately withdrew their blows to prepare for another and this continued for a while amidst the Little Masters laughs a mounting anger could be felt in the tall mans presence. When a rather large distance had been put between the two the Little Master decided to launch through the air and come down at his target, the tall man pulled his arm back and when he brought it forward his sword went launching through the air like a javelin. It met the Little Master and pierced him square in the chest, passing through and continuing on punching a hole right through the metal roof, exposing a dark night sky and how far it flew beyond that was anyone’s guess. As he came down short of his target, still landing on his feet but gripping his chest he looked at his opponent who was staring up at the hole “To brash…who knows how you became so renowned, however-” He was cut off by Little Master “Perhaps I should show you.” the Little Master did not seem to really be hurt despite how painful the attack had looked. The tall man just smiled and held up his hand; in it there was a small little box with a single button “-however as I was saying I cannot stay here any longer, I did not realize it was already so late. So I bid you adieu little destroyer and keep an eye out for us in the future, we still need to rid this world of your being.” At that he pushed the button and instantly a flare shot down from the ceiling, several more and as Little Master looked up the roof began to buckle and upon looking back to his opponent he found him gone. Once more cursing his foolishness he looked about trying to find an exit as a massive piece of the roof fell down toward him. A blank metal wall on the outside of the factory began to warp and glow a bright orange color, moments later it exploded outward and the Little Master walked through looking mighty ticked off. Stepping out into the cool night, made more so by the kind of “valley” the two factories made along the road he looked about and quickly spotted the car parked on the opposite side and smiled as he began walking that way. Just then he turned about and held out his hand as one of those who had looked human on the outside and had somehow survived his attack lunged from the hole. It was a foul lycan, not the sort you find here in the mortal realm that were mere defects of true hell born werewolves coming to this world, no this was an utterly massive monstrosity but that didn’t help it much. Two loud shots sounded out as one bullet went through its head and another through its heart, sending it to the ground in spasms, Little Master looked to the source. Out of the shadows walked a skinny man wearing a black drivers jacket and hat whose face was cloaked in a veil, he carried a large revolver. Little Master put his hands on his hips and yelled out in a happy voice “Who is that masked man?!” but seeming not to care and not responding, or perhaps he could not respond the figure simply bowed and motioned its hand to the car. So a few minutes later the Little Master sat in the back of his private stretch Lincoln as he pondered the day’s events. His thoughts were cut short as the window to the cab lowered and the hand of the silent masked man thumbed downward before closing the window again, looking he saw the phone and the red light that suggested there was a call waiting. Picking the phone up he relaxed back into the seat, so far it almost looked uncomfortable and a conversation ensued with his operator. “Zain?” “Yes Little Master.” “Any idea what happened there?” “A special radio device, it cuts out all frequencies. Very techie stuff, they certainly were not normal whoever they were. Did you get them, find out anything?” “Eh, no not really…youngsters theses days, always trying to be so damn cinematic.” “Speaking of which, who goes on a rant like that in the middle of a job?” “Wait…I thought you didn’t hear that.” “…” “You bastard! 2,000,000 push ups to get that sissy little girliness out of you when I get home!” Zain laughed, the car left the industrial sector and drove across the main bridge; the city glistening off to the left, a human city and one Little Master did his best to stay out of. As they approached the private sector and closed in on the housing the discussion going on over the phone wound up. To this point it had been nothing but contemplations on the identity of the assailants, and how they might locate their whereabouts. “Hey but Zain…” “Yes Little Master?” “I think we just found our entertainment.” “Yes…I would have to agree.” “How fun. How fun.” As the car stopped in front of an enormous mansion the doors unlocked and Little Master after hanging the phone up, opened one and took a step out as he pulled a small box from his pocket, then producing a slender cigarette between his fingers looked up to the sky. He flicked his thumb and index finger together and a spark shot from them lighting the cigarette. Watching the smoke slowly drift up to play against the stars now appearing in the sky and the half-lit moon sitting high above them he smirked. “Come then…let’s see if someone in this world can show me hell once more…”

Well first off let me say, bravo my friend… that was an app and a half without a doubt. It had quality and length, and was practically a story in its own right as far as the history is concerned. I thoroughly enjoyed it. There are a few things though, that need to be addressed, one is that Bounto’s do not exist in bleached souls and you made reference to one. And then we get to your abilities. Now let me first say that I rather adore your zanpaktou’s council, I think it’s a brilliant idea. Your first pair of abilities dealing with the ability too see spirit energy are completely fine, but your extra flash step ones are exceedingly powerful. Shunpo being an already near instant form of movement I’m not sure how something five times that fast could even be avoided. A guaranteed hit would be assured by something that fast and that is hardly acceptable in any rp battle. So what I’m trying to say here is we definetely need to strive for a comrpimise with your ability. On top of this, your Bankai is strong, amazingly so. It pretty much puts your attacks on a level far beyond any one elses. I’m sure you’ve put a lot of thought into your abilities as you have into your whole app, so if you can, just show me a little weakness in them and try to spin it so they are a little less godlike. If you go into more detail with me perhaps I will be able to better understand them and they wont seem so shockingly powerful. But as they are, I think they may need a little watering down.

Well let me just say I never really intended to be godly and I would put proper control, five times was just put to convey that it made him faster than a average captain using. So how about I say that instead of giving an amount? I remove the first extra boost to shunpo from his shikai and the second one “pushes him to move slightly faster than an average captain level shunpo”. As far as for weaknesses I tried to point out that it excels in defense and quick precise strikes (and of course the bankai is more to the point) but overall it lacks true offensive power in shikai and bankai since it is intended to get behind ones defenses and if you can block that he isn't a doom machine of power in a straight fight. If that isn't enough I am sure I can think of something else.
Besides that I will go remove the Bounto remark, I just chose one of them since they were the abnormal sort and a Quincy did not fit the bill.

Alright, If you follow through with those suggestions everything will be in order. As far as removing the boost from shikai and movin the other to bankai and changing the wording. Tell me when you've made the changes and I'll giveit a second and hopefully final look. -your friendly neighbourhood Gahrok

All the changes I mentioned have been made and I just added a few lines to the Bankai description of the blade to suggest it harbored the same weaknesses (to a lesser extent) that the Shikai had.
