Pretty much what the title says. If any of you have had a flu before you know full well that you don’t feel like doing jack, especially complicated stuff like managing a forum where you have to use that wonderful cerebral thinking device with every word you read/write. Thus bear with me, especially the noobies. I think you’d much prefer me giving you a proper review when I am feeling better than to unleash 24-hours of sinus congestion frustration on your heads.
Next on the list HURRICANE!!! Fay (who names a hurricane Fay? Honestly?). For those unaware I live in Florida and while this isn’t the worst hurricane in history it did wrap around us so we will be getting lots of tornado weather (east upper quadrant is a bad place to be). We will likely be out of power for 24-48 hours once it hits, that is of course if we survive if Fox’s overblown exaggerations turning every hurricane into a doom engine of the gods anyway. Not how I imagined my life ending, flu, huddled in a bathtub, run over by mother natures cycle of death and destruction.
Finally the deer…well…when are they NOT a problem?
Anyway that’s it for the update, talk to you if I’m alive and when I can tell if my brain really just feels like it has a sack full of stones in it or if I am actually manifesting those mind control powers you’ve all been scared shitless might be granted me since the day we met.

P.S: 90% of this probably made no sense, I’m going to go ahead and blame not sleeping in 11 days. Bite me.

Hey everyone. As you may have heard I (and just about everyone else) underestimated Fay. It wasn’t strong but it hovered over us like an evil doom bunny and dumped feet of rain over 3 days. The power went out two days ago and the water was literally inches from my doorstep last night with the storm passing just in time to save my poor house.
Anyway power just came back on but in my experience that’s not always a guarantee. There are many times in the past a weakened tree has fallen on the wires or something long after we thought it was over and we were plunged into darkness for another day or two.
So in short I will be here but that was why I was gone and if I disappear again that’s what happened.

It happened exactly like I feared it would. Shortly after my previous post a tree fell on the power lines and while I am not sure why it took so long the power only came up this morning. For everyone who has been waiting I will get to your profiles tonight, right now I have work though. Just wanted you to know I am here and all problems are likely in the past…I hope.
*Waits for Murphy’s Law giant boulder to fall out of the sky and land on nearest power cable*
I honestly don’t know why Florida Power puts all the cables above ground in a state that is hit by 90% of gulf and Atlantic hurricanes. I know we are just over the aquifer but you’d still think they’d figure out a better way, hell if nothing else because they lose money every time one rolls around…
