Does anyone here watch Code Geass? If so, what did you think of the final episode? Is Lelouch still alive? I hope so, personally. Maybe he finally got a Seal like C.C. Who knows? Thoughts anyone?'

The final episode was decent. I think the "twist" (like we didn't see it coming *rolls eyes*) was a bit rushed being thrown in at the final minutes and quite brief. Still it came to its natural conclusion and did so with flare, allot more than most animes succeed in doing. I'll be the first to admit while I knew it would never happen due to Lelouch's nice side which has been shown he still has time after time I still kind of hoped he would subjugate the world, that would have been a real twist over what happened. Still it was a great anime beginning to end. As for Lelouch, while I know the fanboy discussion about his living/dieing will continue for months I believe he is quite dead and even if he isn't we will never see him again. I list a number of reasons. A) Guilt was a big part of Code Geass, all the characters had it and most of the major ones wanted to die because of it or be punished because they felt like they had gotten away with something. Lelouch only showed this regret on a few occasions but despite knowing he was doing it for the right reasons he had no small amount of his own regret over "betraying" the world. He went into the Zero Requiem and I think it is obvious from both Suzaku and his reactions that this was the end, he went into it knowing full well he would die to put an end to it all and for authenticity. B) Memories were also a big part of Code Geass. The evidence most people will try to use is that C.C speaks as if shes talking to him at the end. This may be the most faulty evidence ever . Recall that numerous times in the past C.C talked to herself but in reality she seemed to be talking to an invisible entity. It is foreseeable that she is either speaking to the Lelouch of her memory or perhaps even a physical memory of him (seeing as she has her own interior mind where thoughts materialize). C) Finally even if he did live we will never see him again. His death is what insured peace and if he were to ever reappear it would completely undermine his entire effort. It is for this reason I am sure this is the end of Code Geass, even movies. The only thing they could do in that case is shorten the entire series into a movie (been done before with other animes as impossible as it sounds) or explore another character, like Charles when he was younger. It also helps that Sunrise never even meant for there to be a second season until call for it was to large, much less a third. Just because the watchers want it doesn't always mean they get it, the authors themselves want to move on and I think this was there way of finalizing that. Of saying "OK, he's dead and you've got your well rounded ending...can we please stop this now?" As for your "Seal" question. He can only receive one if C.C dies...since C.C is still alive its clear he has not.

The current idea is that he ended up receiving Charles code at in Ashaka Temple. It also goes along with the fact that somehow Nunally received lelouch's memories through touch, like with C.C and Lelouch. So to me, it's very well plausible that he may be alive.

But those who recieve a Code lose their Geass in exchange.

Yeah, some people are debating because it's always bee the same code they received, never someone else's. So basically it's like since C.C gave him the Geass, and lelouch got daddy's code, he was able to keep both.
