Alright I will be blunt, is there any real reason to keep the main arc going? I have been thinking about it ever since the first disappearances began a few weeks ago.
Up until now I have been alright with it because most of those leaving had little to do with the main arc or were new members who never really got started. However we just had two members who control extremely important parts leave us, even if they say they will be back that could be months in the future. I could easily take control of their characters but the problem is that by the end of this arc that will leave me controlling just about every side, making it more of a book than an RP.
Several captains and lower shinigami, several espada - arrancar and the new group who will have a ton of NPC's, the brotherhood and the NWO, the only group I won't be controlling most of the members of soon will be the Vizard. While I have no real problems writing what I need to I know it can't be fun to have only one person controlling just about every army in the RP.
So the question is this, do those of you left want to keep it up?

What I feel is that we should start wrapping this up very soon and not let it drag out any longer, killing off as many people we can to open positions. I wouldn't mind moving on to the next arc so that I can use Takeshi as an actual member of a squad, and Umbra in the condition we've discussed.

Eh...
Can't say much, though if we were going through with it, we need to wrap it up with some Ragnorok-style ending killing people off (Yay explosions) or whatever. That would...be fun.....*cough*

Oh I agree Galihan, I am sure you have seen how it went from doing almost nothing to 20 fights going on at once. This is as compact as I could hope to make it without losing story in the process. You see the only reason I don't want to rush it so much that we lose the impact of story is because this very first arc is where we introduce the main enemies for the rest of the currently planned story and obviously such an important part can't be half-assed.
If you are interested Galihan I do have an idea of how we could speed this up. If you give me a time when you will be on we could co-write/tag-team a post of the fight between Umbra and Zetsumei. That way we could wrap the entire deal up in a single post which would essentially be the green light for all other current battles to wrap-up and begin the final song of the arc. If that sounds good to you just give me a time, PM or here doesn't matter.
As for killing off positions I already have plans for quite a few characters, however Hitotsu and Arashi will simply go MIA for the time being. Both FC and ZR0 are two of our best writers and so long as the prospect of them returning is possible I won't kill off their two captains (not like we have a rush of applications for captains anyway -_-).
Anyway guess thats the plan for now though I am not sure what will happen in the long run.

That'd be great but at the moment I'm stretched for time, maybe thursday night we can work something out.
As for making captains MIA that works too because it's not like anything can kill Hitotsu and if Arashi were to die I'd have to make Iko go emo after losing both her lieutenant/husband AND her captain/friend, and don't forget that at some point we DO need to kill off Captain Kisho at some point for continuity purposes.
