-(Available to Shinigami under VC, maybe some weaker evil-doers.)-
All around the Shinigami Academy, and the entire Seireitei, there had been a bulletin posted. It was a formal invitation from the Lieutenant of Squad 8. The poster was bright and explosive, with a chibi picture of a hollow with a sword through its face. It read:: "Young shinigami, shinigami in training, would like an opportunity to better your skills? A chance to measure your ability? Excitement, training, and fun all bundled into one! Real world training excercise, meet Lieutenant Saishun at the Real World gate at sunset!" The poster was obviously not Seishuku, but instead one of the more creative members of the 8th Squad.
In the 8th squads barracks, a handful of members were stirring with excitement, while the remainder stayed negative and arragoant. "You know, Squad 8...." Seishuku had said earlier, "that none of you have shown any spectacular ability as of yet. Perhaps the upcoming excercise could be beneficial to you." That bottle of sunshine did little to motivate his own squad. Damn, I hope the other squads contribute more than this. With about four members of his squad, Seishuku strolled out to the gate.
He met a few members of the fifth squad there, who were specially trained to create hollow barriers. They went through the gate before the sun began to set, and he left his 8th Squad members in front of the gate to greet those who showed up. In the real world, the fifth squad members spread out and set up a barrier. They made sure that it was quite strong enough to hold out any hollow of average strength. Seishuku had been sent to an area with great hollow actvity, but it was made sure that none that were too strong were in the area. The vice-captain sat down on top of one of the watch towers, and waited patiently.
-(Alright, in your first post please move to the real world. You can interact with any members that are there, but make sure you get to the real world in one post.)-

((EDIT: I'd like to re-write this post greatly to set it BEFORE For the Fallen, so as not to have to bullshit the details of things that have yet to happen and ultimately god-mod the entire site.))
the courtyard of the Shinigami Academy, lots of commotion had been going since the word went out that one of the Vice Captains of the Gotei 13 was organizing a field test into the Living World. Seeing as the event wasn't officially organized by the Academy itself, lots of students were unable to miss their classes for this extra-curricular venture, expecially of the 1st year entries who were for the most part unprepared for this sort of thing, this was especially going to eventually be the case of the 1st year student known as Takeshi, that that is a chapter for another time.
It made the young Shinigami-in-training angry when people who were all off in their own noisy circles would go quiet if they realized he was nearby as if he was that much of an outcast. It utterly pissed him off that they'd take him as someone who didn't belong because of his eyes, so different from the rest, one a dull green and the other a bold blue, or maybe they all knew that he was better than the rest of them and were envious of his skills. He wandered down a relatively empty hallway, and looked upon the poster on the wall.
"Young shinigami, shinigami in training, would like an opportunity to better your skills? A chance to measure your ability? Excitement, training, and fun all bundled into one! Real world training excercise, meet Lieutenant Saishun at the Real World gate at sunset!"
A bit vague, but sounds interesting. He thought to himself eagerly, finding his left hand lightly gripping the hilt of this zanpakuto. His large, colorful eyes opened wide as a large grin spread across his face. A random passerby, some nobody in his class caught glimpse of this brief expression.
"You're crazy man! As if you'd actually waste your time with something that stupid." The classmate called out to the Caucasian shinigami-student. Takeshi simply turned his head slowly towards the concerned classmate and gave him a creepily eerie smile.
"Crazy?" Takeshi began slowly and quiently, raising his voice room level as he continued. "Do you honestly believe that I came here just for food and a bed and to bore my life away? You're crazy!"
Takeshi bolted off towards the Senkaimon Gate to meet up with this Vice Captain in charge. He'd prove that even if he wasn't fully trained, he'd be more than strong enough to surpass whatever obstacles that may block his path. He arrived at the large gate to the world of the living, and checked in.
"Name, son?" a full shinigami standing guard asked him with a sign-up list.
"Takeshi."
"Huh, speak up kid!"
"I said my name is Takeshi, sir! You dumbass."
"You say sumtin?"
"No, sir. You must be imagining things. Perhaps you should sober up, stop being an idiot on the job."[/size]
After having said his peace, Takeshi didn't bother hanging around to find out what the man would do to the wierd-looking kid if he was able to understand the slander thrown at him. Takeshi had already ran past the guard and into the gate leading to the Living World. He emerged on the other side ready to prove his worth as a shinigami, an air of confidence that only an espada would be able to stop him.

-(Joinings are still acceptable, and I'll be using students as NPC'S)-
Seishuku looked down as the Senkaimon opened, allowing the various sounds that came with nervous students. Laughing, talking, crying in one case, all the usual. As all the students walked in and the gate closed, and Seishuku frowned a bit. Fifteen students, and they were just wandering around. Maybe this wasn't such a great idea. I know the topic of going to the real world maybe a bit daunting for students but, I expected a bit more. Not to mention they seem to be absolutely clueless without anyone barking commands at them...
But no matter how much he wished he wasn't, the Vice-Captain had signed on voluntarily and couldn't just leave them and go home. So he gave the group a bit of time to settle down, and then leapt down and walked towards them. "Welcome all that decided to come. I am Seishuku Saishun, Vice-Captain of Squad 8. Now as you may not have picked up on this from the poster, but this excercise is actually a bit dangerous, so if any of you are unwilling to stay, the gate will remain open for a minute." Now this when Seishuku expected some to leave, but none did.
"You're a brave lot, aren't you? Well before the excercise begins, I would like to explain to you some things you might not learn in the class room. A Hollow may seem like a terrible creature, but it only takes one stroke to defeat one. Likewise, even the weakest Hollow can kill a Captain. This may seem like a paradox to you, but it is quite frankly the way the world works. You study things that seem set in stone, but nothing is. Keep in mind that receiving assistance from a teammate is not a sign of weakness, but of strength. Hollow do not often attack in numbers, and there in lies the advantage. If there is anything to remember, it is that fear is the venom, and the antidote is pure confidence."
After this short lecture, Seishuku looked at the roster. "It seems that we have exactly 15 people attending. If you would, please split up into five groups of three, and report to me. Any question about what we are going to do will be answered shortly, and I will take any other questions right now." With that Seishuku walked away, and waited fro the groups to split up. Soon he would see what their abilities were, and how exactly they were capable of using them in a team excercise.
-(You can use the students for yourself as well.)-

"Hmm.. Whats this? Looks like we have 'visitors'." A male voice said, the room he was in was nearly completely dark however, which shrouded his appearance. The only light source in the room was a massive computer screen, showing what seemed to be a radar map, the text 'Tokyo' could be seen at the bottom.
Near the center of the screen was a big glowing red dot with several 'rings' around it that grew and shrank continously, they had confirmed these to be signs of the shinigami's gates, and with the readings that they got from the area surrounding the 'portal' it seemed to be a few stronger shinigami and a bunch of weaker ones, this could turn out interesting.
The man pushed a few buttons on a console infront of him as the radar map was minimized to the down left corner, just showing the 'hot-spot' at the moment, as a large list popped up to the side with another window opening above the radar, showing a young japanese man, in his early twenties, with black hair and glasses which reflected the light from his own screen.
"Yes, Hunter?" The man asked.
With the new window up the light from the screen had intensified enough to show the face of the man who was called 'Hunter'. He was undoubtebly european, and seemed to be in his early thirties, though any true details of Richard Mallory was hard to discern in the dark. "Send word to ELITE squad Alpha-2, as well as regular squads Meta one, two, four and seven. I want them gathered and ready in ten. Send a message to every available Special Ops as well." Richard ordered, waiting for 'Scout' to confirm it, which he did with a visible nod as he began to type away at his own console. With another press of a button the screen changed back to full radar map mode.
"This is going to be... Interesting." Richard said to himself as a grin spread on his lips.

Though a larger force was gathering just a hall away the Halo Storm elites were preparing in a much smaller lab like environment after having received a call to arms just five minutes prior. Word on what exactly they were going to go do was vague so far though Derrick had the most of anyone in the preparing forces, apparently there were at least a dozen shinigami spirits in a certain area of the city. While Derrick like many wasn't quite sure if the shinigami were truly enemies he was still loyal and after seeing what all other spirits did to people he could easily believe that the shinigami were simply hiding their true purpose. With that in mind he and his team were loading up on the best anti-spirit weaponry available to them.
Zaks was already armed to the teeth and was instead viewing a data-pad, Derrick wasn't always sure what his second in command was doing but he did know that he was one of the busiest members within the elites when they were not on a mission. Bear was standing at a nearby table performing his favorite pre-battle ritual of trying to decide what explosives he would carry with him on that particular mission, King likewise was going through his ammunition and attaching his helmet. Meanwhile their newest addition who was now going by Nikki sat around utterly befuddled by the number of weapons at her disposal. Derrick noted that Bear had seen this and was now standing next to her and shaking his head every time she reached for a particular weapon causing her to recoil and try again thinking she was picking wrong. After growing bored of this Bear turned around and spoke to Derrick.
“Hey boss-man, is the crazy cookie fiend coming along?”
Derrick shrugged and shook his head, “No...effective as he might be in a broad battle theres no way to control him when hes confined. Even Mallory Arms couldn't bury all the questions that would appear if he went off in a residential area. Given the situation though I doubt he would be necessary though, the majority of the targets seem to be weaker.”
Just before Bear could respond there was a loud clunk as a huge explosive shell dropped to the ground behind them followed by the manic laughter of a female. None of the Halo Storm tried to make a move because they were all aware such a shell wouldn't explode from a short drop but the newest member Nikki jumped behind the nearest table, raising her head above and turning a bright red when she saw them all looking at her. Tank who had made the winch holding the shell fail laughed through her digital voice box, she had taken a great liking to torturing their newest member at every turn. Tank was exactly what her name suggested a massive tank chassis sitting behind them all being prepped for action, she was of course controlled by an electrical and spiritual AI. Tank was also almost as crazy as Jager most of the time though unlike him her crazy side was little more than an act to entertain her.
“Been sooooo long since I've been in the field. You know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna BURRRNNNNNNN THEM ALL!!!! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!”
Derrick just shook his head and Zaks rolled his eyes though he never looked up from his data-pad. Then all of them looked up when they heard a familiar voice call-out from behind Tank and shortly after the blond pilot and tech officer of the Halo Storm walked out from the control panel he had been adjusting Tanks weaponry on.
“Did you really just try to fire your flamethrowers when you said that?” Svitz asked.
There was a long pause, “.......no.” Tank responded rather unconvincingly.
“LIAR!!! THERE WAS AN ACTIVATION RUNE ON THE SCREEN!!!”
“LALALALALALALALA!!! CAN'T HEAR THE CRAZY MAN!!!”
Meanwhile Derrick attached the rest of his weaponry to his back, placed his helmet on his head where it firmly sealed to the rest of his suit and grasped the handle of a massive two-barreled gun that had been sitting on a nearby table. Nobody but someone of his size could hoped to have held the weapon, even if they had been wearing a suit and that in itself was what made Derrick so dangerous. He didn't need to call out for them to follow and as he opened the door to the primary complex the human members of the Halo Storm followed him out into the larger preparation room where several teams of security officers were getting ready to go in with them. Behind them a large elevator began taking Tank up to the top floor and as the door closed they heard her yell out.
“BUUUUURRRNNNNNN!!!! GLEEEEEEE!!!!”
Derrick looked at the rest of the teams who were prepared and were already making their way to the large action elevator that carried them up to the ground floor. There their transportation would be waiting, cuing his com into the rooms broadcast system he spoke.
“Alright then, lets get this show on the road. Everyone get ready to move topside.”
What he didn't tell anyone else was the Halo Storm wouldn't be moving topside.

Listening, but being unable to really hear what the vice-captain was saying, Takeshi decided to just follow suit like everyone else and join a group of three like the other fourteen shinigami-in-training. He looked around, and wasn't able to identify anybody as people he knew, so he decided he'd might as well meet some new people if he was going to have to team up anyways. He looked around for anyone who might be potentially advantageous teammates, and easily picked out a pair of people without a third person. A boy and a girl, both looked around his age, maybe a bit younger.
The male student was clad in the standard blue uniform just as Takeshi himself was wearing, had dark skin and really short hair, and judging by the size of his zanpakuto which was slung on his back it was safe for Takeshi to guess he would be a strong offensive swordsman. The girl in her red uniform was almost as dark as the boy so Takeshi guessed they could have been siblings, and she had the look of someone who specialized in kido spells. Takeshi himself was a defensive swordsman who the trio would probably be able to work together very effectively.
The girl noticed him looking in their direction and dragged the boy with her by the hand towards Takeshi and they introduced themselves to each other.
"Hi," the young girl said cheerily, her hand extended for a shake. "I'm Yoruyon, this is my little brother Hiru-san. Your name is?"
"Takeshi." The quiet boy replied in his usual voice to Yoruyon, shaking her small hand. "Nice to meet you." To Hiru, the two guys just made eye contact and nodded a bit., no words needed. Without further ado the group of three decided to return to Vice-Captain Saishun so they could continue with the training exercise.
-
At Mallory Arms, deep underground in a training room walked out the Battle Operative Daniel Conrad. It was late and he was about to punch out and return to the small apartment he called a home. He even had already taken off his entire Spirit Combat Armor suit and disassembled his gun and put it away for storage for the night in his locker room. He intended to get a bit of sleep for once this week since he planned on taking the next morning off from his usual duties within the secret military organization. Then the call came in. Time to suit back up and get right back to work.
"Pieprzyć."
A lone swear word in his native tongue slipped out in his frustration but he turned around and got himself back into his armor and reassembled his large gun, and yawned. He really wasn't in the mood to fight tonight, but he knew it was his job so he didn't let his unenthusiasm get the worst of him and made his way to the hanger to catch a ride to the mission. There he caught a glimpse of Halo Storm, the elite of the ELITEs who answered directly to the boss like himself. While Daniel would be able to confidently claim to be stronger than any of them, well maybe not for certain regarding either Derrick or King... or that Tank...thing... Daniel especially hated... her? Every time Daniel's ever laid eyes on that mechanical monster all he could see is a damn soul wired up to a bunch of weapons that only posed as a thread like any other spirit and would be better off killed and used as fuel instead of posing a disaster waiting to happen.
Anyways, asides from Tank, Daniel was confident he was stronger than any of the members of Halo Storm that were actual humans individually, but he knew that himself being a solo agent who never got into that "teamwork" thing would not be able to stand against the entire group working together. Daniel just tried to ignore them as he got himself loaded up, and ready to investigate this shinigami appearance.

Yasuo heard with close attention the directions of the vice-captain in front of the group of participants. He had seen him before around the Sereitei, same as all of the other Vice-captains, but he was sure no one there, except for the members of his own squad, knew his face. That was the whole purpose of assisting to the training session: to make everyone learn his name once and for all.
In reality, Yasuo was dragged to the human world to supervise the performance of the 5th Squad members as the 3rd in command of the division, since the Captain and Vice-captain had more important matters to address. Of course, he never intended at any point in time to do that and, as soon as he arrived to the meeting point, he convinced his underlings that he would supervise the mission from the inside, where he would have a clearer look of all of them instead of going around the barrier to communicate his commands individually. Nobody actually fell for that but when Yasuo Funanori is your sempai, you really don’t get many options as to what you can or cannot do, and there was no objection to him entering.
‘On a closer look, most of the people who came here are not even graduated' he thought, unable to listen to the Vice-captain anymore due to his little attention spam. ‘Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea after all; there’s no point in beating up weaklings.’
The Vice-captain finished his explanation and Yasuo looked around with a completely puzzled expression, noticing people were pairing up in different groups instead of preparing for an “all vs. all” combat, which was what he expected form the beginning. He didn’t actually care for who his colleagues would be since, at end of the day, they were all just a bunch of weaklings and all the work would be up to him, so he just walked up to the first student he saw without giving it much thought.
“Good news, partner!” Yasuo exclaimed, patting the student’s shoulder with excessive strength and smiling from ear to ear. “You and I will be a team, which means you’ll be in the winning group! Name?”
The student, intimidated, looked at Yasuo with a surprised, mostly because he wasn’t seeing that coming. “Hiroshi Oomori… But…we need one more person, right?”
“We do?” Yasuo asked, erasing his smile. He then turned around and looked at the rest of the groups; they had all been faster and were already in teams (probably because they DID pay attention) and there was only one female student left. She was short in stature and her zanpakuto wasn’t imposing in any possible way, in fact, Yasuo suspected it was a regular practice sword; but, then again, he didn’t care who his partners would be to begin with. “Over here…” he said to the girl without much enthusiasm this time while doing a sign with his hand for her to approach them.
The girl joined Yasuo and the other guy, now recovered from the surprise earlier. “Em…I’m Saori Arawa…” she introduced herself with a shy face.
“Yasuo” the 3rd Seat replied simply; he didn’t like to say his last name to people he’ll probably never see again, especially because he wasn’t there to make any new friends. “Well then, I guess we are all readY, uh?” He finished, recovering his confident smile. ___________________________ OOC: DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUUN!

Daichi Shimazu, the resident drunkard and gambling fiend, also third seat of squad seven. He sat under one of the many trees in the courtyard of his division playing his shamisen. This was how the man loved to spend his time when not doing anything important or useful. It always eased his mind of troubles either from gambling loses or his past. He paused for a moment to take a big gulp of his sake, then continued playing his instrument. But his down time would soon be interrupted by the sound of scattering feet. Daichi looked up and noticed a group of shinigami rushing through the halls.
"What's with all the commotion?" he asked himself. With interest peaked, Daichi placed the shamisen on his then tried to stand. As he finally made it to his feet, he held his head and wobbled a little. Daichi loved to drink even when he was on duty. It got him in trouble with his superiors all the time, but didn't stop him. Using shunpo, he appeared in one the hallways. His drunken state made it a little difficult tro balance himself so he ended up running right into a wall. With a thud he slid down to the floor, the poster on the wall fell onto his head. He removed the flyer from his head then began reading the words on it. He mumbled out loud while reading, his words were uncomprehending but he understood it. With a laugh Daichi rose to his feet smiling. "Nice, a tra-hic training sebsion in the r-hic real world."
He dropped the poster and took off his hat to scratch his orange hair. Daichi didn't look like your average shinigami at all. He never wore the academy robes like everybody else. The clothes that he did wear made him look like a smoked out hippie. He didn't even wear the tabi socks with his sandals which had wooden blocks on the bottom of them that clocked everytime he walked. Daichi flashstepped his way to the Real World gate where many students were already. The guards at the gate instantly recognized him on sight.
"Crap, here comes that drunken idiot of squad seven." said one the guards.
"Good, Daichi's always the life of the party." said the other.
Daichi approached the gate with his drunken walk. "Good day m-men. Just heading out."
"Go on through sir."
Daichi nodded to him as he took sip of his sake, he placed the bottle back in its place on the back of his waist. With that, he walked or should I say stumbled through the gate into the real world. Upon arrival he looked around at the other shinigami. Mostly all of them were academy students, not even on par with his skills. This made him smile crookedly. The man in charge of the whole operation gave them the order to pair up in groups of three. Daichi simply waved this order off. "I work b-hic better by myyyyself." he said. As he wobbled around the area, the other shinigami stared at him like he was the drunk guy that crashed the party. Technically he kinda was. He took another sip of the potent sake then gave a loud belch.

-(Sorry for length, but finals have their ways.)-
Although it seemed that his speech didn't quite hit the spot right, he was sure that the students got the key parts of it. He waited for a bit, as some kids shyed away and others flung themselves at potential partners. Well they were kids after all, and to whom little is given little is expected. Even through their social kinks, they eventually began to form what seemed to be 3-man groups. It was then that Seishuku began to look at the groups that would need the most supervision.
Most people were in their groups, and Seishuku took note of the one group that had the third seat. I'm sure he won't need my care. And all the others were at variant power levels, and seemingly would need careful watching. Then Seishuku saw one man wih a high reiatsu stumble onto the scene. Seishuku frowned a bit, but shook it off. WHat kind of idiots would let the drunk in! I hope for his sake (No pun intended) he can defend himself, and alone at that.
"Alright then. If you haven't figured it out by now, there is a barrier surrounding us. It is quite simply a barrier that prevents reiatsu from leaving or entering, but still allows us to track high reiatsu movement. The members of the 5th squad will soon drop the barrier, and your reiatsu will bring you all the training you need." He smiled a bit here, and lowest member of each group cowered a bit. Seishuku took a great leap up to the top of his watch tower, and pressed lightly on the two-way speaker he had on his ear.
"Member 3, how goes the reiatsu?" "There seems no reiatsu that I can pick up right now." "I wishSuad 12 wasn't so cheap.. Members 1, 2, 4, and 5, drop the barrier in 3 seconds." The fifth squad members relaxed, and the barrier gradually dropped around the students. The 12th squad member watched the monitor, as he awaited any reiatsu movement. The horrible detection machine had great range, but could not confirm any reiatsu in the area. Seishuku had a bad feeling, but left the students aside and laid his head back to rest against a wooden pole.

While the squads of the NWO began to suit up and regroup Richard was watching the area from his 'office' inside the NWO complex, which actually was just a few hallways from where the soldiers were now gathering. While waiting for them to get ready he had suited himself up (with a little help from a device in the room) and was now standing infront of the large computer display, with the exception of the helmet he wore the whole thing. Since their last mission he had made some small improvements to the armor, mostly to give it more efficiency in all areas, though it was not even close to his now planned Mark 3. He couldent help but smile when thinking of the results from his training with the prototype. Sure it was too unstable to bring outside the test chamber, as it would most likely crumble if not worse, but he knew what he needed to improve on it.
With armored fingers he tapped some buttons on the control infront of him, which switched the screen to the HALO storms 'preparation quarters' just in time for them to move out. After their attack on Vulcan it seemed they had found quite a talent among the many soldiers he had sent as their reinforcement, though she had also been the only one who survived... Last time he sent any reinforcements with them he supposed. With another click of a button the screen changed back to the main room.
"Hunter to Shade-1, whats your status?" Richard asked through his cell-phone, when used to communicate with members of the NWO it used its own frequency. ["Everything is green here Hunter, seems the shinigami have split up into groups of three and are spreading out somewhat, not sure on what they are doing, but readings show some kind of barrier surrounding them. The only thing which could compromise our approach would be the one ontop of a tall structure over there, seems like he's acting as a watch for them."] The 'Shade' said, though Richard could not see the man he assumed he was on some building several kilometers away from the shinigami. The Shade's were the NWO's scouts and snipers, though they had yet to perfect the rifles to the degree he wished for, they were still quite potent.
"Good work, let me know the location and we will formulate a plan of approach." He then ordered before he put his cell-phone down, a few seconds later a small pop-up with the radar-map popped up with a red dot marking the area where the shinigami were. 'I see, if they are watching from that area we could most likely approach from the ground until we are in position, the place can see the sky and surroundings well, but the ground is obscured by the many buildings around it, our kind of battlefield.' He thought with a smirk on his face.
With no more preparations necessary Richard grabbed his helmet and walked out of the 'office', and after a minutes walk came to an elevator that led him to the 'assembly hall'. Upon entering the large room several of the gathered squads saluted as they quit what they were doing and stood in line. With the smirk still on his face Richard walked up to the other end of the room, where a large screen was set up on the wall. Once he reached it he turned around and pointed to the screen behind him with his free hand. "As some of you may know, the Shinigami has infiltrated the city. And we are going to put a stop to them before they have a chance to do whatever they are up to." He said aloud, his voice carrying out over the entire room with ease, and as he spoke the screen flickered to life showing the radar-map data of the shinigamis location.
"As you can see, there are a multitude of class-E targets, with only a few near class-B, as such we will target the weak ones first, through long-range combat to avoid detection until it is too late for them to react. I want all Special Operatives present to support our long-range troops should there be any complications, we cannot underestimate the Shinigami, as we are not yet sure of what they are capable off. A bonus goes to whomever can salvage one of their katanas. They seem to carry some form of special power and as such we need to research them for future battles. Approach from underground, that is all. Dismissed!" He finally finished, he was hoping his little speech had been enough to convey the plan for the moment, they would need more information to make a more complicated strategy, and for that they needed experience fighting the shinigami. But atleast the HALO storm and 'Tank' was particapating, so he was confident this would end in success.

A period of non-discriminate activity took place after the briefing by Richard as everyone began to move out. Some began moving topside and gathering in vehicles whereupon they would be taken to entry points closer to the target before moving underground. It was this group that Daniel would be traveling with though his orders were a tad more specific and once there he would split up and find a way to utilize his abilities to spring a “noise” trap on the enemy or in other words a preliminary attack before the ground troops had to move in that would confuse the enemy so that when the hammer dropped the average troopers efficiency would skyrocket. Still others took to the air in helicopters to come in on the other side where they would in fact be aiding Tank who was already well on her way to taking a broad sweep around the area as to perform a flanking maneuver when the close battle began. The Halo Storm as usual was on a far more complicated mission like Daniel though this time they would actually be separating, Derrick had decided that as soon as he had received his orders though he hadn’t broken the news just yet. Whereas others were moving topside this wasn’t a necessity for Derrick, portions of the NWO facility were directly tied to the sewer system and though they were obviously blocked off they had the permission to pass through them. Now all five members were on the move through an incredibly large main pipe, riding in small carts like those you might have found in a warehouse. They weren’t exactly the most stylish or technologically advanced machines in the NWO…or perhaps anywhere, but they moved quickly and saved them the hassle of trying to figure out the complex sewer network with an onboard map which was of course in place in the event the leadership ever had to make a quick exit from headquarters. Derrick quickly plotted the course in his head and then turned to look behind him, Nikki was riding in the back of his vehicle along with King while Zaks and Bear drove in two separate vehicles behind him. None of them knew what was going on just yet as he had pulled them from the main group and down here at the last second but they were all professional enough to simply follow and obey when he told them to take different vehicles. Instead of bugging him they were talking amongst themselves over the com channel for the moment. Nikki who was trying to be accepted was trying to strike up conversations all the time, “Am I the only one who finds it exceedingly disturbing that, that tank seems as ready to kill us as our enemies and as mentally unstable as..a…well mentally unstable person?” “Eh, she’s just entertaining herself…she means well most of the time.” King responded. There was a hiss of static over the com and then an extremely exaggerated mechanical voice mimicking HAL though it was still obviously Tank spoke, “I – can – hear – you. Do – you – plan – to – endanger – me - Sarah?” “EHHHHH?!!!” Nikki squealed, “but…how…deep underground?” “Oh she has the frequency to our com channel obviously…and your working with the companies true equipment now, its not limited by things your old equipment would have been.” Zaks responded. Nikki fumbled with her com for a moment before she switched it over to a localized broadcast that could only be heard by those close by and waved her hands, “SEE!!! SEE!!! THAT IS NOT NORMAL MACHINE BEHAVIOR!!!” Before anyone could respond another voice came over the com this time obviously Tanks normal voice though she was whispering, “Can still hear you…over their radios……….kiiiiiillllllll.” Though they couldn’t see Nikkis face she was obviously frozen for a moment before lowering her head and muttering, “I’m just gonna stop talking now…” Derrick never really bothered to go along with his followers banter though he sometimes found it amusing, in fact at this moment he was pretty sure he heard Bear cackling at what had just happened though his outgoing com was apparently off. Derrick once again looked down and saw they were approaching the area he was looking for with great speed. With that in mind he opened his com and everyone immediately went silent, well aware that when he spoke on missions it was always of importance. “Alright this is the plan. King and the Kitten are coming with me…” Nikki broke in, “THE KITTEN?!!!” Derrick stopped mid-sentence for a moment and nonchalantly said “Ya…I had a kitten named Nikki once…plus…your sort of harmless, ‘Harmless as a kitten and all that’…trust me it’s a good way to force you to get better so I’ll start taking you seriously.” Nikki briefly just stared at him before turning her head and crossing her arms. What he said was true though, he had done this with every member who had ever joined in with his band even back as a mercenary, this was just the first time he had the particular joy of getting someone befitting of that particular moniker. “We will be going in and waiting underneath to pop-up right into the fray once this all breaks loose. You two…” he said not having to really point out that he meant Zaks and Bear, “On the other hand will be doing something a bit different. Bear, how long do you figure it would take you to do a rush noise diversion on this area?” Bear paused for a moment and looked at the display in his own car, likely judging how large the central operation area was and he then took a long surprised whistle before speaking, “Wow, it’s pretty big, sorry to say there’s no way I could give you a full cover in the operation time.” “That’s what I figured” Derrick responded, “so just do what you can, if you can blow a few of the tunnels that’s fine by me, the more disoriented the enemy is the better for us. I’ll tell you something I probably shouldn’t, that Daniel was given a similar mission by Richard to somehow utilize his powers to accomplish this. Truth be told I don’t know what I think of the kid, haven’t been on many missions with him and as such I’m trusting you to do what you can in case he proves ineffective. Keep this one close to the chest though, this is for our ears only and as far as Richard is concerned the kid can do it, he just gave this backup order for some extra oomph…” He took a long paused, “And speaking of secrets that’s brings us to you Zaks…care to open the large box in the back of your vehicle?” There was a pause and then Zaks let out an oath in some language Derrick didn’t know before speaking properly, “Is this?” “Yes it’s the latest longtom rifle, fresh out of the labs. You better appreciate it; you wouldn’t believe what it took to convince Richard that it was ready for a field test and that you were the one who could pull it off. I’m going to assume we’ve been doing this long enough for you to figure out what I want you to do?” For the first time Derricks tone sounded bemused. Zaks thoughts and then spoke slowly at first, “You…want me…to take out the big target in the middle of the others, the one acting as a sentry.” “Bravo.” Derrick exclaimed, “And with that said I believe that means we have finished just in time because this is where you get off.” Zaks and Bear were professionals and needed no further explanation and in truth both knew more about how to accomplish their given missions than he did; Derrick heard their carts take sharp turns behind him into adjacent tunnels. King, Nikki and he sat in silence for a long time as the little dot that represented them got closer and closer to the place they were headed. One might notice if they looked around that the adjacent tunnels were getting smaller as they got farther from the central district above. Regardless this main tunnel stayed large enough to drive through as it was where all the waste eventually ran to though luckily the raised areas on either side of the central ditch were providing enough room to drive still. It was at this time that Nikki who had been silent until now spoke up, clearly a bit unnerved to be around the two giants of the Halo Storm who were playing the silent role right now. “I-it’s odd to hear you call Mallory-shacho by his first name.” “We’ve known him for a long time, Derrick here was the first real soldier under his command.” King spoke back. “I see…” was all Nikki said leading to another long silence, she seemed to be thinking before saying something further, “Um…Derrick…er, can I call you Derrick I’ve never heard your full name?”, the large man simply nodded, “Derrick-sama, I’ve never fought spirits before…er….” Derrick never did actually look at the girl but he had been in this business long enough to spot reservations a mile a way, he had already prepared for when this happened and in fact was why he was bringing the girl into the thickest fighting. He reached down to his hip with one hand while still driving with the other and pulled a gun out that compared to those he used now was extremely small and old, it appeared to be a near ancient revolver. He spun it in his hands though he would have had a hard time holding it normally and in his suit his finger couldn’t hope to fit on the trigger, he held it out to the girl. “You know what this is?” he asked. She looked for a few seconds before responding, “It’s a .45 long replica of a colt revolver…it’s old, the sort of thing you see sell for thousands at a gun show even if it isn’t an original. But this ones in excellent condition.” “Ya that’s right. It was given to me by my…mentor when I was a child, after enough death.” He didn’t bother to clarify beyond that, “I’ve had it since, until we ran into these spirit enemies that normal bullets couldn’t harm it was my primary piece for over twenty-five years. Ever since it’s become sort of useless I’ve turned it into this groups symbol. Every individual who I’ve ever invited into our ranks has been shown this weapon and I’ll tell you there have been many more than you see here. Anyhow, to every individual I have chosen I have given them this gun and told them to hold on to it for their first three missions, at the end of three missions they are to give it back to me but if they die within those first three I have promised I would bury them with the weapon as a symbol. Losing this gun would be a horrible thing for me as it’s the one thing in my past I find important…so why would I feel comfortable making such a bargain?” He paused and though he never looked at the girl his tone had softened a bit, “It’s because I’m damned good at picking my members.” He dropped the gun in the girls lap and kept on driving, while she stared at him for a while. Three minutes later Derrick slammed on the break and though there was really no rush his strict training saw him exit the vehicle like enemies were showering them with lead as they moved. He quickly proceeded down one of the many tunnels, not seeming to be lost at all and the other two had to quickly move out of the vehicle and chase him down. It didn’t take long before they found him standing motionless next to a ladder that lead up to an obvious manhole above, Derrick reached to his com. “Zaks?” Was all he said. “Wondered where you got off to.” Came the other mans voice instantly, “I’ve found him, I’m set up in the Kimishita Plaza Tower…ready for the word…oh and be careful the weak ones are all over the streets.” Derrick didn’t bother responding and then said, “Bear?” “Eh, I’m not happy with it, it’s a rough bitch but it’ll cause some noise and smoke in the streets on a few key intersections.” Derrick unconsciously nodded and then touched his com again, dialing in the special code for Richard private channel that only a few knew, “Come in Hunter. Barrel is prepared, Viper is in place and Pit Dog is in a can. Awaiting your orders.” From behind him he heard Nikki say to King, “Who the hell comes up with these retarded codenames anyway? Seriously?!” ---------------------- ((OOC: *Looks at date since last post* Late? I have no idea what you’re talking about. Now listen to my metaphysical bullshit as I convince you that it is in fact YOU who is late… *Speaks* …see, now don’t YOU feel bad for holding everyone up?….. Shame …. …… …………Ok maybe not. With this past week not considered since I feel my excuse was good enough someone really should have said something earlier than this when it became clear I had forgotten to respond after a week or so. Anyway sorry. I should point out the reason none of them are complaining about being in a sewer is because they are in completely sealed suits with filters that can purge most poisons so they don’t even notice...oh and they wouldn't complain anyway because they aren't a big sissy like you...stop laughing...it wasn't a joke *serious face*.))

Takeshi was barely able to hear, let alone understand the instructions being called out by the Squad Eight vice-captain, so he had to turn to his teammates Yoruyon, the small dark-skinned girl, and Hiru, the dark-skinned boy with the large zanpakuto.
"Did you two catch any of that?" He asked the siblings quietly, to which Yoruyon replied,
"Yup! Red-Hair just said to sit tight and wait for a barrier... err, I think... is that right Hiru-san?" "Mmm-hmm."
So it seemed to Takeshi that this Hiru also wasn't much for words just like himself, but Yoryan's fast-paced uppy attitude might be hard to understand from time-to-time, but nonetheless he was sure he'd be able to get along pretty well. Unfortunately, there was something wrong in the air, something that made Takeshi not feel right deep down, like there was something bad about to happen tonight, but the sudden arrival of multiple high-ranking full-fledged shinigami was a reassurance, but nothing could prevent the inevitable should fate really decide that bad shit was to get down. He couldn't help but feel uneasy. He gripped the zanpakuto on his hip with his left hand and placed his right on the cover of the notebook that hanging onto his sash.

Meanwhile, Daniel made his way towards the mission area on foot from the dark sewers he had slipped into, having abandoned the transport he had hitched a ride in earlier so he would be able to later find a suitable location to set up a gun nest where he could mow down the stronger targets from a distance and then proceed in moving in to finish up the weak ones. The tunnels were nearly pitch dark but he could see perfectly with his helmet's built-in sensors and vision-displays. He was aware of the boss's orders to start with the weak ones, but he felt that it was more important to destroy the greater threat before they could actually become a problem, the weak ones would be demoralized and easy to finish off once their leaders were dead. Not only that, it was also the boss's orders for the Special Operatives to support the regulars, so by doing this he knew he'd be doing his job properly and their victory would be swift and brutal. As cold, quiet clinking noise could be heard as his armor rattled when me moved, but stealth was not his absolute concern, it too was an intimidation factor that he chose not to have reduced with more advanced armor that would be more machine and computers than actual hardened steel of a warrior.

Yasuo looked around him while the barrier began to fade away, scanning with his eyes all of the Shinigami that had had the courage or time to stay in the training session. No matter how much he looked at their red and blue uniforms, these wouldn’t become black, and that just didn’t stop disappointing him. It wasn’t just the lack of thrill he felt when fighting someone of equal level, he just couldn’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t him the one getting any training, but those students who were draining him from his precious time all because he was too stupid to step in the barrier. In any case, the best thing to do was get this over with as quick as possible.
´They are all weak, no question about that´ he thought, looking at a dark-skinned Shinigami holding a Zanpakuto of remarkable size ´But there is some potential around here, might as well finish them off first, I don’t think these two can handle much.´
It also crossed his mind the thought that maybe all of the other teams would jump on him, having in mind he was one of the three graduated Shinigami in the training session. It would only be natural that all of the weak fighters would team up to fight the stronger ones, and they certainly would be expecting him to attack them. He soon discarded the idea and went back to analyzing his opponents.
“Sempai” the male teammate called Yasuo, snapping him back to reality from his deep thought. “Don’t you think there’s something weird about this training exercise?”
“Weird?” Yasuo asked, scratching the back of his head as a sign he wasn’t following. “It’s just a practice session, what about it?”
“W-Well…” Hiroshi responded, surprised that a high-ranked Shinigami hadn’t sensed any awkwardness in the situation. “For starters, why are we training in the human world? There’s a lot of space in Sereitei”
“I don’t know, maybe the Vice-Captain wanted a change of environment or the training grounds were all full.” Yasuo said, raising his shoulders as if saying he just didn’t care about that.
“It is still a bit risky, now that the barrier is off some hollow would attack!” the young academy student insisted, and the idea seemed to scare a fragile Saori.
“Nothing will happen, just focus on the training.” Yasuo demanded in an authoritarian tone that intimidated his two teammates. He then looked at the other groups one more time and, when he spotted the one the dark-skinned guy with the large Zanpakuto was in, he made a dissimulated gesture to Hiroshi and Saori to look at them with his head. “We are going for that group first; I’ll take on the guy with the big Zanpakuto.”

Daichi glanced around at the many students in the training area. The barrier that was keeping their reiatsu from drawing attention was soon dropped allowing the outside world to feel it. He began laughing a little as he watched all the students scramble to gain partners. Daichi took a swag of his sake and before long, was lying on the ground burbing up bubbles. Some students tried their best to ignore him while others giggled at his drunken state. He noticed two students in particular that were with out partners. Daichi rolled over onto his side and rested his head on his fist. "Hey you two, come mere." he yelled out.
The two students looked to each other unsure if they should listen to some drunken guy that looked like he could use a shower.... or two. With a shrug, the students walked over to Daichi and stood in front of him. One of them was a young male with spiky green hair and the other, an attractive red head.
"What do you want?" asked the young man.
"I've decided to make you two on as my apprentisesess.
"What? I'm not partnering up with you," said the girl.
"You're just some drunken idiot that can't even..."
Before the boy could finish his speech, he found Daichi's legs swinging towards his own knocking him to the ground. The momentum flung Daichi to his feet, he fell backwards with an elbow headed right towards the boy's face. The boy quickly closed his eyes and turned his head to the side not wanting to see the pain that was coming. After a few seconds, he realized that his face wasn't hurting. Opening his eyes he saw Daichi's elbow dangling over him.
"How the heck?" asked the baffled girl.
Daichi wobbled to his feet then pulled the young student up. They looked at each other for a moment, Daichi smiling hard. The kid completely underestimated him just because he likes his sake. "Now, what's your name?"
"I'm Tatsuma Minoru," the boy answered.
"And I'm Kazuko Zama."
"How the heck did you do that you old drunk?" asked Tatsuma.
"Hey, you show r-hic respect to your elders boy. I'm Daichi Shimazu, third sseat of squad seben."
The two students eyes went buck upon hearing this. They quickly dropped to their knees and bowed to him. Daichi took a sip then smiled. "Bout time."
"We are sorry for the rude behavior Shimazu-sama. It won't happen again," said Tatsuma.
"It beffer not. Or I'm gonna hic have to kick your little asses all over this here.... place we're at... thingy." Daichi belched to make room for more sake. He then turned his attention towards the man that organized this whole operation sitting above them. "Hey you up there! When the hell's ttthis gonna st-start?! I'm getting b-hic bored!"

Takeshi's eyes glanced around the scene, examining the potential opponents that he and his teammates would have to fight against in this exercise. The drunkard who showed up late appeared to be very powerful despite his shameless inebriation, able to take down one of the student with the green hair, wasn't his name Tasu-something or other? Anyways, he never really liked the guy's cocky attitude and couldn't help but to chuckle when he got his ass handed to him by his own powerful teammate. Then he noticed the vice-captain who was looking in this direction, the one who looked like he came straight from Treasure Island, he seemed to be judging who would be the most worthy adversary, and since as a vice-captain his power would have been sealed in the Living World, chances are that Takeshi and his group would probably appear to be the most worthy match of a vice-captain at 20% power.
"You see him too?" Takeshi mumbled quietly, seeing as Yoruyon was already looking that way, but warranting the youngest of the group to look up and see what the quiet guy was talking about.
"He looks pretty scary, but we can take him, right Hiru-san?"
"I guess, so..." The brother replied uncaringly, turning to the white-skinned ally. "Hey, Takeshi, can you fight with your fists?"
The causasian glanced at his own hands with his heterochromic eyes and had a small flashback to his days in Rukongai, getting into lots of fights, and especially the time he once again met the co-vice-captain of Squad One, the tanned one with the kite for a Shikai, wasn't his name Katra... Kat, somthing... he couldn't remember at the moment.
"Yeah," Takeshi replied, "Outer Rukon does that, but I prefer a blade."
At that moment, he placed his gloved hand on the green grip of his longer-than-average zanpakuto and looked around again. The siblings followed suit when Hiru reached for the large blade on his back and Yoruyon's hand went up her other sleeve where her own zanpakuto was hidden. None of them drew just yet, but something just wasn't right about this. He felt like something was watching them, and not just the pirate. Why did they drop the barrier for this? Were they trying to attract hollows for them to fight? A couple normal hollows weren't a problem, but what if something else altogether was out to get them?
