Shinigami
Name:
Eric O’Neil (Actual name, is only known to him and his zanpakuto)
Takeshi Sasoku (Name adopted to better fit in amoung Soul Society, last name added after Las Noches.)
Gender:
Male
Age:
49
Division:
Ten
Rank:
Unseated (Actual strength considerably higher though, similar to Rukia, who isn't a seated officer but still vice-captain strength. Takeshi is on file unseated but has an average strength closer to a 5th Seat, still far from VC, but much higher than most unseated)
Physical Description:
Takeshi stands at 5'7", is of Caucasian ethnicity, and has an athletic, muscular and toned physique one might expect from a teenager who has spent many long hours of vigorous training, giving him the appearance of somebody in his mid-late teens. He has medium length hair of a light brownish colour with bangs that go just below his nose, and is parted to the sides of his face. His eyes are his most striking feature; being heterochromic, meaning they are different colors. His left eye is a dull grayish-green, while his right is a bold, bright blue. He rarely opens his eyes entirely giving him a tired, unamused look that cries boredom, or maybe just lack of sleep. His abnormal appearance often makes him stand out amoung crowds of his fellow shinigami.
Though he wears the black Shinigami kimono just like most other people in the Gotei 13, his overall uniform is distinctly different from the standard issue. Under his upper robes he wears a white long-sleeved shirt and on his arms he wears dark leather gauntlets which cover his hands and forearms while also providing minor armor, and he wears boots made of dark leather instead straw sandals. Over his right eye he wears a special eyepatch which he had commissioned for him by Squad Ten's own private R&D team, which acts like a two-way mirror, covering his blue eye but not impeding his sight. His zanpakuto rests on his right hip from his obi, and above his normal sash is a second leather belt that carries a small leather bag on his left hip where he carries his notebook and an assortment of multi-colored pencils, pens and markers, as well as other supplies such as food or whatever he may be carrying.
When in the living world for extended periods of time, instead of simply having a gigai with matching colored eyes he still simply wears his eyepatch to cover up his eye as usual, because it makes him look cooler in that tough-guy kinda way but not necessarily threatening. He also owns quite a lot of variety of clothes he may chose to wear, seeing as being Squad 10 he spends quite a bit of time in the Living World. He usually wears either light blue jeans or baggy black jeans or beige cargo pants, white running shoes or leather sandals, and often anywhere up to three layers of shirts, starting on the bottom with either a white long-sleeved shirt identical to the one he wears in his spirit body, or a black or light blue teeshirt with the flaming blue Bleach skull pattern on the chest, then a black button-up shirt over the undershirt, or a red open-front shirt, or both with the red shirt over the black one, and then either a dark blue zip-up hoodie, a black spring jacket or a wool coat over top, depending on the weather and his mood. Lots of layers, yes, better be hot and take it off than be cold and have to find something to put on. Then there is off course the Karakura High School uniform which he just might wear should situation call for it. Lots of different outfit choices, yes, but how many different outfits have you seen the canon-Bleach cast wearing in opening/end credits or on the coloured manga covers? Yeah, that's right, lots. Heck, even the intro of the 1st season of the anime, most of the characters wear an entire catalog of different attire that are never once worn in a single actual episode.
Personality:
Takeshi is a quiet person who has trouble communicating with his peers and superiors. He rarely speaks and does so very quietly. When he needs to explain complicated stuff, he often struggles on his own so he often communicates with the help of writing, sketches, and cartoony doodles in the notebook that he carries with him, when he does attempt to explain stuff using complete speech he often does very horribly which can lead to awkward and unusual situations. He simply doesn't like talking to other people most of the time, often preferring his own company and will often speak to himself out loud when alone and trying to string together his thoughts or just to remember what his own voice sounds like. He does sometimes open up to others and tries to be more social but in his speech he usually stutters and has trouble annunciating. His loud voice, however, when he does speak up tends to be rough and flat from years of being rarely used, yet surprisingly assertive and confident.
Takeshi has a mild case of undiagnosed Schizoid Personality Disorder, which impairs his ability to be socially engaged in relationships of any kind, and this makes him a person who is very self-reliant and finds peace in solitude and working on his own as a testament of his own abilities, yet he also enjoys limited teamwork because it reminds him that he has people to rely one and isn't alone in the world. If left alone, he will find peace in being by himself, but deep down he secretly suffers from desiring companionship and friendship but coming out and being friendly is very difficult for him because he dislikes being too depended on. He gets easily irritated when people rely on his abilities too often, when people talk too much or too fast for him to understand, or if people judge him on his appearance or attitude. He has no patience for people who hold him back or people he just doesn't like. When he doesn't like someone he makes no attempt to hide the fact by often unintentionally uttering whatever rather nasty and unpleasant comments come to mind under his breath, most of the time due to his quiet attitude this usually goes by undetected, but if asked to repeat himself he usually realizes what he's said and covers it up by playing innocent, usually to a successful result. Despite his seemingly lack of respect for many people, he does in fact pay his respect to people whom he feels can prove their worth and deserve their authority, and people who are kind and generous and overall fun. In spite his shortcomings as far as linguistics are concerned, he actually is a very talented and creative person, able to entertain those around him with his unusually comical and likable outlandish attitude combined with the occasional witty comment able to lighten most peoples' moods, who needs to be able to hold a solid conversation when you can get away with one expertly delivered one-liner?
Takeshi is a very rare case of people in Soul Society who is able to remember parts of his past life before dying with more detail than the average shinigami, however this is mainly due to the fact that he is still rather young since crossing over to the other side, only being dead for little more than 30 years. He has made a vow on himself not to dwell on his memories of loss and has therefore began to slowly forget the memories with time's passing as he has used death as a chance to start a brand new life, still, he sometimes calls himself by his real name, Eric when thinking to himself, instead of Takeshi as everyone knows him as. He is still a bit traumatized of his time as a prisoner in Las Noches, but overall the experience of witnessing several espada-ranked arrancar, even being in the nearby presence of members of the mysterious and seemingly omnipotent Horror Vaccui faction in battle, was rewarding in the long run. Surviving the unmeasurably massive spirit pressures has made his own reiatsu increase by leaps and bounds beyond what it was beforehand, and also has allowed him to witness fighting styles not taught by Soul Society, unconsciously causing him to adopt some of the swordsmanship techniques he's witnessed, combining his natural solid and firm defense with very open and wild aggressive offensive stances with little room to block at all, putting himself at risk but overwhelming most enemies who care about avoiding injury themselves.
His favorite foods are chicken, apples and oranges, but he is always open to new culinary experiences and will never refuse to try new dishes to eat at least once, and is known to have a rather large appetite but will avoid spicy food if he can, and is particularly disdainful of nuts or other legumes in general as well as anything involving chopped tomatoes. He is fascinated by both real world Tokyo and Soul Society's Seireitei, both being so different yet so incredible in their own way. He is not fond of the outer districts of Rukongai but does still enjoy the more peaceful, civilized areas of the inner districts where he can find quiet and solitude. He actually is a bit of an otaku and a comic book fan, and can be easily amused by many things but it doesn't take long for him to lose his interest in some things and become easily annoyed by stuff he deems stupid, or lame.
History:
Birth, Life and Death
Takeshi's real name is Eric O'Neil, born in Vancouver, Canada in 1960. He was early-on raised by his racist father, a World War 2 veteran who participated in the Pacific Theater, who was extremely overprotective of him and often tried to shelter him from the many foreign Asian cultures that inhabited the city, with decreasing success over the years until he was 9 years old when he died in an anti-Asiatic riot in the Japantown district. Eric was placed in protective care and then raised by a foster family on the other side of the city.
Having bad memories of his father and no memory of his mother, Eric took a great interest in the culture and history of Japan by the time he was 12. He got involved with the "wrong crowds" of Yakuza-like wannabes and street thugs for a short period but quickly got his act back together after getting involved with minor trouble with the law and several very violent fights. By the age of 15 he was a very bright, positive influence who had served as a mediator between the Japanese and English students in his community and began taking an interest in learning the Japanese language but to little success, primarily because most of the Japanese-Canadians he knew were from families several generation since immigrating and knew little of the language of their ancestors.
At the age of 17, he was accepted for a school-funded student exchange program to Japan, and also began taking a serious interest into the existence of spirits, having began to experience frequent "ghostly encounters", including being able to see and hear the souls of the dead on a regular basis. He kept this to himself almost entirely with the exception to his girlfriend and his journal, a large leather-bound notebook that he took with him everywhere so he could record his life and draw the world around him as he saw it. He planned to keep records of everything about his life to look back on later.
After spending a month in Japan, he had much success in learning the language but remained unable to understand more formal and distinct dialects of speech and writing. Unfortunately he ran out of luck when in a conversation with a new friend of his, he accidentally offended an eavesdropping survivor of the war, a drunken old man with a deep grudge against all foreigners, who would shoot him to death later that day in an intoxicated rage in a back alley as the teenager was on his way back to his residence.
Life after Death as a Hollow
After a few weeks being a spirit, Eric was becoming increasingly irritated that the drunk who shot him was never convicted and got away with murdering him, and his death was not brought to any major media attention, his foster family back home wasn't even informed of the tragedy as far as he knew. He sank into a malice that caused his Chain of Destiny to begin eroding at an alarming rate. Within a few more weeks he had transformed into a Hollow named Vademeca with the desire to kill the old man who shot him.
As a Hollow he hunted the man down and almost killed him before he was attacked by a shinigami who forced him to retreat to Heuco Mundo, where he remained for 3 years before he regained his strength without feeding on souls and evading larger Hollows who would gladly make a meal out of him. Eventually he quickly gained a considerable amount of strength after making many short but successful attacks on the world of the living, evading Soul Society for over a month as he contunually slew over a dozen low-ranking shinigamu until he was finally caught by one that could stop him.
On the last of his attacks, he finally found and succeeded on killing and eating the soul of the old man who killed him in the first place, as well as a handful of other people before being cornered by a team of Shinigami who were on their first assignment after leaving the Spirit Academy. The inexperienced Shinigami proved very little match for Vademeca who was too powerful for them to handle, killing 2 of them effortlessly and wounding another 3 without any noticeable injuries himself, before they were rescued by their Seated Officer, the very same Shinigami who almost defeated him when he first became a Hollow. This time the Shinigami had a much harder time battling the now much stronger Vademeca until eventually he managed to shatter the hollow's mask and was surprised to see that Eric's face, and couldn't understand his last words, being spoken in English instead of Japanese, before the Hollow took over again,
"I wan't to go home."
When the mask repaired itself, the Shinigami released his Zanpakuto and easily defeated the Hollow with his kite-like shikai, purifying his soul and sending Eric to Soul Society where they would eventually meet again.
Life after Death in Rukongai
In Rukongai, Eric was shunned and outcast in most places he went until he found himself in the slums of the outer districts. He found himself getting in lots of fights with the lawless inhabitants of the area, often over his face or his language but mainly his eyes, oh how so many people hated his bright colorful eyes! One day he sensed an urge to return to the inner districts for an odd reason, as if he was being drawn by outside forces in order to find something of value. He traveled after quite some time to the 14th district, where he found what appeared to be his own journal that he kept with him while alive. Apparently the notebook somehow crossed over to Soul Society with him after he was purified by the Shinigami. The notebook seemed to now have unique spiritual properties that were connected to his own spiritual energy, such as having an unlimited amount of blank pages despite only appearing to be a couple centimeters thick, being able to go directly to any page Eric wanted on command, and being only able to be opened by Eric himself.
After obtaining his notebook he wandered for another decade in Rukongai and continued to learn the Japanese language until he could understand all the different dialects pretty fluently, but still he wrote to himself in his native tongue and spoke to himself at nights so not to forget his own language of birth, but he still eventually had adopted a Japanese name in order to fit in better. Despite having renamed himself "Takeshi", this didn't stop him from eventually finding himself back in the outer districts when he eventually got caught in the middle of a large riot which got so out of hand that a few Shinigami were dispatched to quell the uprising. One of these Shinigami was the very one who he fought twice in the past as a Hollow. After the rebellion was put down, Takeshi followed the Shinigami, who happened to be one of the co-vice-captains of Squad One, Kuatura Katayama, and confronted him in the 1st District before he reentered the Seireitei. They spoke very briefly, and he took his advice that he should enroll in the Shinigami Academy in order to get out of the cycle he found himself in which always ended in him being stranded in the outer districts. Takeshi wasn't sure whether or not this person recognized him as the former hollow but he wouldn't have doubted it, not many people could forget a face his, especially with his distinct eyes.
The Spirit Academy
In his first year as a student, he had proven himself to have much promise as a shinigami with his impressive reiatsu, skilled swordsmanship which combined a refined and solid defense with agressive and powerful offense, overall giving him an almost spotless record in zanpakuto combat. His kido skills were sub-par, but very innovative as he managed to discover how to use his notebook, bound by his own reiatsu, to perform spells beyond his normal grasp much easier. His unarmed hand-to-hand combat skills, while not formally trained, were self -taught and typically greater than the average shinigami outside of Squad Two, having been able to easily fight barehanded against attackers armed with swords, sickles, spears and axes while he was still an inhabitant of Rukongai.
Las Noches
Near the end of his first year at the Spirit Academy, the Gotei 13 oversaw a field test for the students to exterminate weak hollows in the real world. The Vice-Captain of Squad 11 was sent to watch over the training mission, where students of all grades were sent off to perform the typical duties of the shinigami. He himself fought off a pathetic hollow by the name Ant Bite, performed a Soul Burial for some snot-nosed brat, and then finally finished off the hollow while at the same time forced were moving that would change his life forever. As he purified Ant Bite, he was encountered by the one of the most powerful people he'd ever meet, a high-ranking espada who was sent to capture him and his classmates for whatever reason and bring them to Las Noches. After collapsing under her colossal reiatsu, she took him and returned to the hollow fortress. Here he was introduced with his kidnapper, Torre, and also met some of her allies, another epsada by the name Umbra and a numeros named Jessica. It would seem that Torre was forced to take him and his classmates against her will under the orders of the Hollow King, who had disappeared under mysterious circumstances after issuing the orders. Torre and her fellow, outcast arrancar proceeded to help him escape during the midst of an invasion from Soul Society to get him and the other students back. Torre and her companions encountered many powerful enemies and all fought with their all. During this time, by being exposed to so much high-level spirit pressures, his own power had risen considerably to the point that he was considerable stronger than when he was first taken prisoner, but by the time the espada members Umbra and Zetsumei had released their own ressureccions he was incapacitated in a form of self-induced coma caused by his zanpakuto to protect himself. If it werent for the powerful cat-hollow Akabane casting an additional shield of protection around him, he would have died from the pressure of Torre fighting Asmodeus if it weren't for him being rescued by Captain Yun of Squad Ten.
Back in Soul Society
Upon returning to Soul Society after Las Noches, he remained in a coma for a while as his condition stabilized and he began to regain strength while he spent the next few weeks recuperating in a Squad Four bed. After a few days of unconsciousness, he resumed his lessons at the Spirit Academy for a few more weeks and began intense training in order to become powerful enough to never again be so unable to defend himself, to never again be so unable to control his own fate as was the case during Las Noches. In this training he searched deep inside his soul and achieved his Shikai release. Shortly afterwards, it was decided that he was able to graduate and join the Gotei 13 after only one year in the Spirit Academy judging by his ability to survive the high spirit pressure of Espada and Captains fighting all out, and was assigned to Squad Ten under Captain Yun. After In order to better fit in even more, he also decided to give himself a last name instead of just going by one, adopting the name of “Takeshi Sasoku”. In Squad Ten, he has had the S.D.R.D.B create for him an eyepatch that covers his blue eye while still letting him see clearly, and frequently visits the Living World to perform his duties as a shinigami, as well as for some sight seeing of the city when he isn't busy defeating hollows or performing Soul Burials on the many lost Pluses that need to be sent to the other side.
Additional Info:
Takeshi is left handed, and is talented as a cartoonist and illustrator. His notebook is unique as it can only be opened by him and has an endless amount of blank pages. He also has no trouble finding any page of the book he wants, and any page ripped out will be replaced by a new blank one once the notebook is closed and reopened.
General
Sealed:
Takeshi's Sealed Zanpakuto takes the shape of a blade slightly longer and curved than the usual sword, reflecting his high amount of spiritual energy which is leftover from what he can concentrate. The hand guard of the sword is rectangular in shape with two square indents on parallel ends, making it resemble a blocky letter H.
Name: Tynan
Spirit Description: Tynan's spirit form resembles a large dark skinned man, in the height range somewhere near the canonical characters Kenpachi Zaraki and Sajin Komamura while considerably muscular, but not necessarily a giant. He's dressed in tattered quincy-like robes and bandage wrappings with fancy armour covering his chest and right arm and runic tattoos over his body. Tynan is a strict, but quiet man, who refers to Takeshi by his real name and is always to the point.
Shikai
Activation Phrase:
Repel, Tynan!”
Appearance:
The blade of Tynan grows longer, widens, and forms a large double-edged sword.
Abilities:
When spiritual energy clashes with Tynan's blade, small amounts of the energy will be consumed by the blade which can be accumulated while the Zanpakuto remains released, and eventually released in the form of a blue energy ball fired from the blade's tip, with the maximum amount of energy able to be charged and released equaling around the strength of a weak cero fired by a menos grande. This attack is not very taxing on Takeshi's body because it is powered by the reiatsu of those around Takeshi, but it takes a while to charge to full strength. Takeshi can charge the attack using his own energy without absorbing loose energy, but doing so would be very draining on Takeshi's energy reserves despite how much reishi he actually possesses.
Bankai
Activation Phrase:
"Bankai! Great Demon of the West, devour all that oppose you, Tyna Ultima!"
Appearance:
Tynan grows to a very giant sword featuring a pair of 8ft long, 6-inch wide blades which rest back-to-back and are able to open apart forming a foot-wide gap. With a grip measuring 3ft in length, the total length of the weapon is 11 whopping feet long. With that said, Takeshi obviously has to carry the massive weapon using both hands to fight. At the base of the blades there is a large clear crystal.
Abilities:
Tynan's Bankai form is a very last resort choice in battle, being too massive to effectively fight enemies capable of using high-speed abilities such as Shunpo, Sonido, and Hirenkyaku, but not impossible. The weapon is however powerful enough to be able to easily cleave through the strongest of defenses and can even cut other Zanpakuto in two (*results may vary greatly between opponents of considerably different spirit pressures, but prior mentioned capabilities typical when dealing with beings of equal or inferior strength, as but even beings of higher strength such as a captain would have trouble blocking against such raw attack power seeing that this is a purely offense-based bankai, like Ikkaku's Houzukimaru, where Ichigo's Zangestu would be purely speed by comparison, however unlike Houzukimaru, Tyna Ultima also possess high defensive ratings*)
Tyna Ultima's ultimate ability is a vastly upgraded version of his Shikai power. High percents of any energy-based attacks that contact the blade will be absorbed and stored until the limit is reached, indicated by the crystal at the base lighting up, which then causes the blades to separate and release a massive blast of energy with strength comparable and possibly rivaling or surpassing an Espada's Gran Ray Cero. Though very destructive and massively powerful, once the limit of charges energy is reached, the blast will fire and Tyna Ultima will return to it’s sealed state leaving Takeshi quite defenseless in the event that the attack was wasted. The attack will also charge on it’s own without absorbing direct energy and charges faster if surrounded by large concentrations of spirit particles. The attack can also be manually fired if not at full power but will still revert to the Sealed state even if there barely enough energy stored to harm a weak human. With experience, Tyna Ultima will be able to store more energy and make better use of the energies absorbed as Takeshi becomes more talented at using his bankai in battle, be it in order to fire it's attack multiple times without resealing, amplifying the released energy for more damage, or even being used to recharge Takeshi's own reishi reserves or even heal his wounds to an extent, in time.
Takeshi has his own unique method of using Kido, being unable to recite the incantations of stronger spells easily he uses one-time use Sutra Charms he creates by writing down the incantation in advance and tearing pages out of his notebook, pouring his reiatsu into the paper and throwing it at the target. This allows him to perform higher level kido than he is normally capable of performing. When the paper sticks to the target, the page unleashes the spell being casted at point blank, therefore is highly effective but puts Takeshi at risk when he could just use his zanpakuto at such a short distance.
Without Book
[1]Restrain - Locks a target's arms in place behind their back
[4] Crawling Rope - An energy rope entangles a target.
[9] Strike- When cast this kido sends a concentrated orb of red light toward the target at amazing speeds, and if it hits engulfs them in a blinding light that paralyzes all their bodily functions for a short period depending on their overall strength.
*Incantation: Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!*
[31] Shot of Red Fire - Fires a ball of red energy at the target
*Incantation: Ye Lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, The sea barrier surges, March on to the south!*
With Book
[30] Shitotsu Sansen / Beak-Stab Triple Beam- Forming a golden triangle with one's finger, it shoots three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his or her body in three places in a shape of a perfect triangle.
[33] Blue Fire, Crash Down - Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to 31, but over a wider area and with more power.
*Incantation - Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!
Takeshi is also rather impressively skilled in fighting with his Zanpakuto, specializing in defensive stances, parrying, and counter-attacking with great success, but that doesn't mean he is solely a defensive swordsman. When he does have to go on the offensive he becomes wild and aggressive using unorthodox swordsmanship styles, sacrificing personal safety in favor of rushing the opponent and targeting their openings and weak spots with as much damage before falling back and regaining a guard. His greatest asset is his immensely high vitality and endurance, possessing a very formidable survival instinct that allows him to withstand the stress of high reiatsu. While this does not allow him to combat beings of far superior power than himself during a potential confrontation, it does allow him to at least survive highly risky situations, which in turn grants him the experience to improve.

Roleplay Sample:
Yes, within the halls of Las Noches, there was disorder unlike anything before. The Tres Espada, Torre, the very woman who had taken them from their training mission was helping them escape. Takeshi did not understand the full situation going on in the titanic fortress or outside it, but he knew that he had to trust these arrancar women who were determined in freeing him and his senior classmates. They ran and they ran for quite a while, usually having to catch up to Torre who was incredibly fast compared to them. It wasn't too tiring to him, but he seemed very uneasy as if there was something trailing them. He looked down at the cat hollow and behind him only to see nothing but white hallways. Suddenly Torre lunched and punched at him, or actually above him, utterly and completely crushing and shattering the mask of a third arrancar that was in fact pursuing them. An assassin trying to kill him? No, an assassin trying to kill Torre? It wasn't important, he was clearly dead now, but suddenly a dozen more were emerging from the shadows and coming at them with the intent to kill. Without arguing, he did as he was told and proceeded in following Jessica's lead after Dante and Namida. He wanted to stay back and fight but it pained him to admit he was too weak to combat the assassins. Knowing that Soul Society was now making it's attack, were the other arrancar becoming desperate to keep them hostage, more importantly, would Torre and Jessica have to fight the shinigami who were here to also rescue them? Takeshi was pretty sure he was the eldest and most powerful of the three, despite only being in his first year at the academy where they were both in their 5th years, and he felt compelled to make sure no harm came out of his peers.
As they ran through the dark passages, his eyes were slowly becoming adjusted to the lack of light around them and was able to actually see his surroundings with relative ease compared to hen he first plunged into these shadowy hallways. After not to long he felt what appeared to five more of the assassins ahead as well as one figure directly behind him. He instinctively drew his zanpakuto and spun around in one fluid motion, but the blade of his weapon merely bounced off what appeared to be a staff of some sort, sending a shock of backlash back at him which toppled him over.
Damnit! he thought, realizing his recklessness might just be his death as this being didn't even budge an inch. He looked up at the tall figure, a tall arrancar with pale blue skin and a long bo staff for a weapon instead of a sword. This man didn't look like the identical assailants who were also attacking, his mask forming a small crown-like headband on his forehead instead of a grim, demonic skull. This being raised his hand above Takeshi, pointing each of his fingers at one of the assassins, and in a flash of blue energy they all found themselves a nice cozy place to lay down in pools of their own blood. He lowered his hand and looked down at Takeshi with an emotionless stare.
This new being, he seemed to be extremely powerful to be capable of dispatching the five assassins in a single attack, yet the way he acted, despite his power he seemed to not be a bad person if he was going to help them out in Torre's absence. Takeshi didn't know what to think, Is he a friend or foe? It could be a trap to lure us away from Torre?, the boy thought as he found himself putting away his blade so recklessly drawn. He wished he was stronger, more powerful in the masked faces of these white-clad beings of godly strength.
He knew he was too weak to resist their might and his life was entirely dependent on their mercy. It sickened him to the core, his inability to stand his ground in this dark, colorless world. He sought strength from within, reaching deep within the pit of his soul in hopes of a solution. All was black, then in a moment, a few speckles of light began to illuminate the sky, and the moon began to shine ahead of him. Not the pale, white moon of Hueco Mundo, but a rich, orange moon as if it was fire. The silhouette of a tall man in tattered robes coming into his sight's focus, a familiar voice ringing in his head.
Stay strong, believe in your strength and there will be no obstacle too great for you to endure.
What is this place? What's happening?
This place is always with you, as am I. Don't give in to the fear, stay strong and true to your resolve and soon we'll be able to meet again.
WAIT! Who are you?

Zanpakuto
General
Shinigami Techniques
