Taza looked at Sojukin as he told him to back down. A slight grin appeared on his face as he listened to Sojukin rant about how he wasn’t there to hear the whole plan. Taza Sonidoed backwards avoiding the cero that Reina sent at him. His hand came up as he flipped her the bird before looking back at Sojukin.
”Like it or not Sojukin, we are all pieces on the board of life. And you are one of the few strong pieces, hell even Reina is on the board.. Or somewhat at least... Those who are strong enough to even stand half chance against the Horror Vacui are dropping like flys, the Goite 13 is half gone, many Espada are dead, and hollows are flying to the Horror Vacui daily. If you piss off the Goite 13 they may very well try and kill you. Even with Reina there the odds of you going under are just to high for me to just let you die like that..”
Taza teleported behind Reina and sent three bala’s into her back. It wasn’t something that would really damage her, more like a just ‘fuck off’ kind of move. He quickly Sonidoed in front of Sojukin before saying. ”If your really going to commit to this insanity then I would like to also come.. I can’t let you die to some Gotie 13 asshole. That job is mine..”

"Your concern for me is touching but unnecessary Taza; now then why don't you do me and Reina a favor and get out of her hair for a little while. I'm sure there are plenty of things you could be doing right now. Though, I do suppose you are living some sort of fetish right now if I know you. You are probably fantasizing about some homoerotic relationship between us, but it won't happen. One, I'm a straight male and have plenty of potential mates and you are not included in them. Now then if you'd be so kind as I suggested earlier. Buzz off."
Sojukin turned his back on Taza and attempted to ignore him when he started going on about the gotei thirteen and that killing him was his job. His teeth immediately set on edge and ground in as the tumor of thoughts syphoned into him. Those years on that endless white plain of existence, fighting for several and attempting only to remain alive and evolve. The taste of putrid hollow flesh in his mouth, the feeling of blood dripping down his body and cascading down in waterfalls about him. Endless cries of agony echoed through the night and left little, but the coldest of nightmares in his mind. The fear of death constant and the want for just a moment of peace always being denied; the only hope for rest came from buring one's self in the sand to avoid being eatten. Sojukin slowly turned around the hierro on his hand becoming his blade as he shot it with killing intent toward Taza's solar plexis as he was standing near him.
"No one will kill me...and anyone that exists who would dare try will find themselves dead long before I perish Taza. Let that be a lesson to you, that now and forever I will exist. I will not fade from this plain unless by some deus ex machina. I shall become eternal or die by my own hand rather than allow someone else the pleasure of killing me. You fool, do you think I am afraid of a drunkard who can barely stand up anymore? You are a coward Taza, you have fled from your worst enemy then returned to him and worked under his constant gaze. You've become nothing more than Death's dog and that is all you will be forever more you useless animal. He will keep you at his heels and you will roll over and show your stomuch to him every time he commands you to do so. Pitiful excuse for an arrancar begone from my visage lest I make you as Death has made you."
Sojukin said coldly, retrieving his hand and not bothering to check on whether Taza had received the blow or not. Instead, he approached Reina careful and eyed her with the same hot intensity that he always did, but now in a much calmer manner. His body had relaxed and there was no sign of aggression or really anything, he was for that moment a blank slate to be read as anyone wished. He breathed out slowly and shook his head before speaking to her again.
"So, you said you would watch, but will you help me?"

As fast as the balas came Reina's way, they diverted off-course, making a beeline for Taza's mouth. She would have called him an idiot for trying that on her, but then he had never seen her actually fight with any effort, so he really wouldn't have known. It's not like Sojukin would have told him anyway.
That said, she certainly approved of any attempt to kill Taza, and Sojukin's speech, finally, someone besides her was telling him that to his face! As long as Taza wasn't tagging along though, she was quite happy; she didn't want that moron knowing what she was up to - she didn't want Sojukin knowing either, and had no intention of telling him, but he didn't press stupid questions like that. Well he had better not anyway.
"See Taza, what did I tell you? Everyone knows that you are nothing more than Death's little bitch, growling and barking when you think it's safe, yet licking his feet the moment he raises his hand to you. It's still as pathetic now as it was then, and really, you're in no position to be talking about chess pieces when you have no control over the board. Run along now, I think your master's calling."
Brushing him off, she turned to Sojukin. "Yeah, yeah, I'll help. Like I said, I want to see this play out, and I can put a few seated officers to use. Again, either way this ends, I'm not missing the chaos."

"Taza will forever be the coward and the witless dog Reina, shall we find somewhere more appropriate to discuss these matters? This area has become...a place of stagnation following that lump's taint on this little plot of land. Besides, i believe a change in scenery would suit our ventures quite nicely despite what others say about consistency and all that. I believe that switching up the routine does everyone a bit of good every now and again, especially after last time we were both left nearly dead."
Sojukin chuckles remembering their first meeting, a rather odd partnership or relationship they had now; he was sure they both used each other, but they both got theirs so it is alright. He did admit that his psychosis impedes most of their progress toward any real friendship or commitment beyond, 'I need you for my plan, your job is live bait.' The idea of any relationship existing between them in the present date aside from a mild tolerance or inaccessible lust. After all he did attempt she was attractive, but beyond that point he didn't have much to say aside from that she had a wit sharper than a nail and a strand of patience about as wide as his thumbnail. Shaking his head slowly as he thinks it over, he wonders if he can truly trust Reina, but then again he couldn't trust many others. The best idea would be to question her about her loyalties and the what not, but he knew that she ran on a code of ethics more convoluted than the United State's bureaucratic law system. Questions more than anything had gotten him in trouble in the past, so the smart thing to do is to wait. He tells himself, but can't get over his curiosity.

“Nearly dead? We were able to walk away on our own, that was just a warm-up bout. But next time we try to kill each other, we do it in a place I don’t care about, preferably in the Living world.”
Sojukin’s confusion over Reina’s goals was well-founded; she was not known for plans that seemed particularly rational, and had a bad habit of choosing the most destructive means possible to accomplish her goals. Everything about her was wild and unpredictable; even her usual short fuse could be lengthened when it suited the dragon hollow.
This was not one of those times.
“Changing locations is fine, but we’re still going to start a fight if you don’t stop staring at me like that. Believe it or not, I prefer your lust-ridden gaze to lust and trying to contemplate me; just ask whatever nonsense you want to ask now and get it over with.”
Of course, since she was the one who wanted to know what was on his mind, this meant that she shouldn’t get mad if it was something she didn’t like. She shouldn’t, but she certainly still would; her morality and ethics were the kind of stuff that lawyers would look upon with pride after all.

"Who says we will try to kill each other? Here I was thinking that this was the start of a beautiful friendship; are you telling me that my reasoning and beliefs are completely unfounded!? Oh woe is me, my heart, you have shattered! Oh what an insufferable rogue thoust art Reina, your wanton actions made me vulnerable, then so like Iago you stabbed this poor Othello through his back! A curse upon your head and zounds through your body!"
Sojukin chuckles and with a quick snap of his head his eyes meet Reina's with a casual glance common to friends. Well, not exactly friends in this case, but acquaintances. Going so far as to say friends would be an insult to them; after all, their primary ideas of intimacy between the other was most likely mutilation. Suitably both were considered insane by their peers; perhaps a relationship would not be too far fetched. Sojukin thinks to himself as he prepares to speak again on the significance of what Reina has said. Needless to say finding a conglomerate of words to suit the necessity of the situation was a task in itself. Women were such hard-asses sometimes.
"A contemplation is about all I have on you Reina; as such, I can not help but delve into the mysteries you set forth. Maybe that is why there is such a allure about you or perhaps I am just as crazy as everyone says. Regardless of lust or not, right now my only objection to our partnership is the lack of trust on both our parts. You may think me a simple charlatan or perhaps a tool to use to your ends. You are smarter than me, I will give you that, but you forget I have ten thousand voices or more in my head who can hold a conference at any given moment. Insanity does have its up sides, especially when one voice knows something the others don't. My mind is no solidified mass, it is loquacious substance able to capture much and retain much. A whisper is all it takes for the chain reaction of neurons to take off and for the information to flow. If this is to work Reina, I need to know your motives and I need to be able to put complete faith in you and vice versa. Otherwise we'll just use each other till either your hand pierces my skull or my flames incinerate you. Neither seems favorable to me."

To someone more well-versed in Living world literature, Sojukin’s connections to Shakespeare would have been noticed – in fact, it wouldn’t have come as much of a surprise with some thought; someone as over-dramatic as the espada being knowledgeable of Shakespeare only made sense. But, this was Reina, who was well on her way of an attempted genocide only a millennium ago. Her knowledge of most living world creations was understandably.....limited.
“What nonsense are you going on about now?” Reina wasn’t about to try to translate the latest episode of Sojukin spouting random nonsense. The hell kind of words were thoust art?
Fortunately, Sojukin returned to speaking in words she could understand, as he gave a somewhat sane explanation for his ridiculous staring. He didn’t trust her, which made perfect sense since she gave him no reason to trust her. If he actually thought that she wasn’t in this solely for her own benefit, she’d have written him off as an idiot on top of being a nutcase.
“Of course I’m just using you for my own ends. You’d think that was understood when I said that I was only tagging along for my own amusement.” That needed to be made clear; there would be no doubt that Reina actually gave much of a damn here.
“That said, I do actually need some decently capable shinigami in one piece, and with you gathering them anyway, it allows me to get by with minimal work, which suits me. So with that in mind, I’ll help you actually gather shinigami to bait a captain down here, and I’ll use the captured shinigami for my own ends. That way, when you eventually get a captain, you can just blame the disappearances on a different hollow and it would technically be true. And while we’re working together, I won’t seriously try to kill you as long as you don’t give me valid reason to.”
That was the best she was willing to offer; not murdering her tool while it was still useful. If he didn’t like it, tough.

"If you say so Reina, if you say so. Excuse me for believing that there was a possibility for something more to exist here. After all any man can dream can he not? Not to say I was expecting anything on the level of intimacy; however, I was thinking that a partnership beyond the layers of tools to be used then thrown away. It would appear I was wrong in that facet as well."
Sojukin stepped forward and let the sand crunch slowly beneath his heel, an oddly satisfying sensation. He had often forgotten the simpler pleasures of life, had he not gone the path of the arrancar where would he be now? The debate raged inside of his head and his body twitched in odd ways before Reina; his reiatsu fluctuated wildly between different hollows infecting him. He doubted that Reina knew any of them, but there was always the possibility...so many of them and there was always the possibility. Odds probably dictated that every hollow in him had a one in two hundred chance of knowing Reina. The correlation seemed to fit to him as the voices raged on and his thoughts turned to the calculation. Anyone of them could have been a friend, a subordinate or anything...she might be able to sense it or she might not, each individual strand lasted only a moment before being engulfed in the next. A few of the voices started to become garrulous and made it harder for him to think than usual.
"If he hadn't become an Arrancar none of us would be in this God damn mess!"
"If he hadn't become an Arrancar we might still be here, but we'd all be deader than we are now!"
"Perhaps if he hadn't become an arrancar we'd still be in the same boat, he might have become a Vasto by now...who knows so many possibilities."
The argument raged on inside of his head, while his eyes glazed over into nothing; he is weakened and vulnerable to the outside world...a momentary lapse of all control of himself as he allowed the hollows inside of him to lull him. Every voice became a lullaby and every one of them softly sunk him to a depth of himself even he knew nothing of. All became dark and the voices stopped...there was nothing for a moment...just the pure bless of silence. Nothing reached him on this plane of existence, know of the shouts that were likely still going on overhead...only the freedom to think as he was supposed to. No minatorial voices, no cacophonies...no nothing that would impede what was natural. How he had longed for this place, but he knew he couldn't stay...he couldn't stay down in that place...the blessed silence nor the inviting darkness. Both were tricks...both meant death. So with a burdened heart and a quick glance back at the solitude and bliss, he escaped. His reiatsu burning through the voices as if they were nothing, each voice screamed in horror and dismay. Each wondered how he could come back, but they were all silenced; every one of them banished way into a dark recess of his mind, to be called back later. It was just another moment of solace, but an empty one. His eyes gained their color once more, he stares forward and looks down at the white sand beneath him. Slowly removing his shoes, he sticks his toes into the sand and doesn't realize that a good five to seven minutes have passed since he went under.
"I miss the simplicity of being hollow." He says finally as he wiggled his toes beneath the sand.

The sand was starting to stir again, in tune with Reina’s slowly rising reiatsu as the Silver Dragon started to lose what remained of her patience. This clown clearly didn’t appreciate the sheer amount of restraint she had granted him as it was, and he was getting very close to experiencing some hot spike action in orifices that they shouldn’t be getting anywhere near.
“You’re really asking for me to kill you now Sojukin. Something more? If you want “something more”, I can give you lots of something – “
What promised to be the beginning of an explosion was abated, not by Reina suddenly calming down, but by Sojukin fading away into his mind. Unfortunately, she could pick up the shift in his reiatsu from his annoyance to the fragments, and as much as she would have simply used the opportunity to kill the fool where he stood only an hour ago, their relationship had improved enough that she wasn’t willing to outright murder him while he couldn’t defend himself, not without proper cause first. It thoroughly disgusted her.
“After what you just said, you’re stupid enough to go to sleep in front of me? You must be suicidal.”
There was no point in raging to a bunch of scattered excuses for souls, so with nothing better to do, she waited for him to surface. Of course, by the time the clown had managed to return, Reina had gotten bored enough to not really have the will to keep up her temper. She was sure that he’d piss her off again, and then he could get the interest.
“Finally awake? Then listen up you dimwit. In the span of our ‘meeting’, you’ve gone from being on my Kill-on-Sight list to us actually having some semblance of a discussion without trying to kill each other yet. As it is, you’re lucky enough that we’ve actually reached the point where I’m more willing to use you than kill you, and if you’re holding delusions that we can become any kind of acquaintances, friends. –“ She shuddered at that word. “-Or anything more than business partners in the span of one fucking day, you might as well leave now; I’m not bothering with anyone that deluded.”
Her lines were drawn; Sojukin could take it or get lost.

Sojukin reached down and let some sand slip through his fingers as he fixated his eyes upon Reina. The glance was cold and incredibly impersonal as he readied to speak; there was little of the teasing he did early and just 'straight' talk as he called it. His lips wandered over every word, but his tone never changed, all he did was speak and he ceased to give a damn about what Reina thought for a moment.
"Let's get something clear before this continues Reina. Your not better me, nor am I better than you, we are equals and yes we are mutual partners because circumstance as made it favorable. I tease and jest with you to lighten the mood, but apparently someone has a stick stuck so far up their ass that they can't understand this. I don't expect anything to change in a single fucking day, no one could expect that. Every time we've met we've either tried to kill each other or have degraded the other one to an extent. So yeah, what we have done today is huge leaps and bounds, but we are friends...that is a long time off if it ever occurs. It is like you said: I'm a fucking tool and so are you. You are something to be used by me, just as I am to be used by you. I'm fine with that, as that just seems to be common law with Arrancar and Hollow these days. There is no chain of socialization, no allies or foes...just tools waiting to be used or rivals in power. Other wise nothing will ever happen."
Sojukin took a pause for breath at this point and snorts; he quickly spits into the dirt before resuming his speech.
"So get the notion that I was hoping for anything more than a business relation out of your head. No one can change that quickly and no one ever will, unless it is simply a superficial change. If you had even so much as shown an example of this...'friendly nature' I probably would have slapped you. I would have known you were faking then; instead, you told me exactly what I was and you were honest. I appreciate that, but your holier than thou shit does grate the nerves a bit. Anyway I'm stepping off my soap box. I'll let you reply, then I'm leaving. I do believe we've both wasted enough time on this issue for one day."
Sojukin kept his eyes on her the entire time and kept his hand close to his sword; after all, Reina wasn't known for her patience.

Reina cracked her neck during the first half of Sojukin’s ranting, and a rumble echoed throughout the sandy floor in response, as crystal trees shook under a non-existent wind. For those who knew Reina, this was a clear visual cue of an impending explosion, as true to Reina’s beliefs, Sojukin had quickly pushed her temper right back to the boiling point, and things were about to go very badly.
“Stick up their ass huh? If you want, I can put something up yours for you.....” The reiatsu was already gathering in her hand to form the spear she was going to ram down his throat when, for once, she actually paid serious mind to Sojukin’s words. Granted, his mere presence was enough to infuriate her, and she dearly wanted him gone, but more or less, he was close enough to accurate. She sure as hell was just using him, he was using her, and she shouldn’t very well try to murder him for his willingness to hit her.
“...For once you made some semblance of sense. I’ve spent far too much time around you and my tolerance for being around people that annoy me has been expended for the next month at least. I am glad that I annoy you though; now you have some idea of just how much I dislike your presence, and most arrancar in general.” The small minority, like Taza, were classified in a special level of hate.
“For the sake of avoiding violence, this so-called meeting is over. I’m sure that we’ll end up meeting at some point if we need to talk again – we’re both ‘lucky’ like that.” And because she needed the last word, Reina showed off a new trick of hers; with a snap of her fingers reality ripped apart around her, wrapping her in a garganta cloak as she vanished for the Living World. No more efficient than the normal method, but it certainly was a hell of a lot more impressive. Reiatsu manipulation had definite perks.
With that, Sojukin was left in the forest, Reina indifferent to how he got out now – her interest was more on the region that was about to get levelled from Reina’s stress relief.
