Excuses to make things explode. Seriously, was it that hard to figure out?

Except Barrigan is a skeleton and not a Death Knight.
Honestly, not sure if I like Barrigan yet...though his Res is pretty unusual compared to everyone else. I still love Stark...I want to see more of him.

One, they're not just a skeleton and a death knight! Arthas is the Lich King, Barrigan is the Hollow King!
Anyways, Its obvious that Barrigan's Time Dilation Field power is a rip-off of Minoru's Time-Delay Field, albeit more powerful but with less range. I've had Minoru able to slow time around him 15 months earlier than Tite Kubo has had Barrigan able to do so, therefore I demand royalties. Also the fact that I very loosely based Tsuno on Hisagi, and then the manga goes and makes Kazeshini a pair of sickle weapons just like Lotomasa is, and then going making the first half of the anime-version of Hisagi vs Findor pretty much similar to how I envisioned parts of Tsuno and Gramica's fight, all high-speed launching and shunpo/bala spamming, its all evidence that Tite Kubo is stealing stuff from me (and now also from Tagz too) and claiming our fandom as his own canon! I know, the nerve! I demand compensation for everything that Tite Kibo has stolen from me. And just in case you're actually reading this, Mr Kubo, my point only becomes truer so don't you dare try and sue me for my crackpot conspiracy theories, because I'm onto you!

.........Riiiiiiight
Anyway, so Halibel apparently has absolute control over water, which includes Hitsu's ice, and Barragan can one hit kill you if he touches any part of you now.
Soifon is up in the air due to her still having bankai, but ice boy is now even more screwed than he was before. He's outclassed in reiatsu, speed, and even in his own ability.

I'd called amongst my friends that Hitsu could pwn Halibel due to ice-water powers, but I never expected the reverse. And since he's used his clone already....
Run Hitsugaya, run away! Your fanbase can only negate one hit per battle!

for some reason I still believe that hitsu is the weakest among all the captains if only due to experience and the fact that the general rule is that older is stronger.

The problem with that reasoning is that there is no proof that Hitsugaya is the youngest captain other than his looks. After all Byakuya who looks older is in fact extremely young for a captain (just a little over a 100-120 years) and as also proved during that time when they rolled back other captains haven't aged in hundreds of years (likely something to do with higher reiatsu levels though its never been canonically explained). We've seen flashbacks of Hitsugaya working with lots of the captains before and after becoming a captain himself, thus he isn't young by any means. Whether he is the youngest or not is still up for argument but I figure its worth mentioning we know no more about his true age than most of the others.

Well I'd really like to know what these flashback that you speak of actually are, because I have no recollection of any flashback of Hitsugaya with any other captain asides from Aizen during the flashback of them with their vice-captains wishing him a happy "birthday". It clearly states repeatedly that Hitsygaya is a prodigy and a child-genius, having graduated the academy in a single year and become the youngest captain in Soul Society history. Hitsugaya is slightly younger than Hinamori, and when she was in her 1st year, Ichimaru was a vice-captain. Shortly after she graduated with Kira an Renji and they served Aizen in 5th Squad, Ichimaru was promoted to captain of Squad 3 and Kira was transferred. While he may have became a captain in a legendary amount of time, Hitsugaya did not join the academy until after Hinamori had joined Squad 5. Therefore, maybe we can guess that Hitsugaya became a captain not long after Ichimaru and Byakuya did, however I still feel its safe to say that he is still the youngest of all the captains.

As far as everything I've seen, the age looks have nothing to do whatsoever with reiatsu, other than the possible fact that people age slower and live longer in Soul Society, and hitsu IS the YOUNGEST CAPTAIN IN HISTORY....so i think I assumed correctly...

I will agree that more spirit power = slower aging + extended lifespan, but what does that say about Yammamoto who looked just as old 2 thousand years ago as he does now?

I think that aging in soul society is partially dependent on your reiatsu, but it also depends on what age you of yourself act to an extent.

So you think that Yammamoto is psychologically as wise as a 120-year-old sage, so his body responds to his self-consciousness? Very interesting thesis.

That and he acts like stubborn old man too. It would explain why no one in Soul Society seems to age at a constant pace and why you can look the same for centuries; you simply look how you act. So if Hitsugaya wants to grow up, he needs to stop acting like a child pretending to be an adult.
